Oh, Brother

Caspian shook his head as he closed his eyes, knowing full well that he didn't want to explain to Raelynn what crowd he was talking about. She was innocent. Well, not so innocent now but she wasn't used to the world that he was involved in. He didn't think that she could handle the truth but it was becoming glaringly obvious that he didn't really have a choice. He was going to have to tell her at some point and it would be better to tell her on his own terms than it being dragged out of him.

"It's fine. It's not the first time, Rae. It won't be the last," Caspian said, opening his eyes for a moment. He looked at his knuckles, the sight one that he was all too familiar with. "I'll tend to them with peroxide when we get out. That usually works. They heal over in a few days and we can forget about them."

Caspian was surprised when Raelynn started cleaning his hands, his head lifting as he watched her. He was still angry, sure, but there was an entirely different element that he couldn't shake at the moment. He was never going to let anyone hurt Raelynn, he would always protect her. Clearing his throat, Caspian looked away from her. He couldn't admit what he was feeling to her, it was foolish and wrong on a level even worse than what he had already done with her.

"That smells good," Caspian commented softly, watching as Rae continued to clean herself. He scowled suddenly as he remembered what had gotten them here to begin with. "Rae," he spoke, his voice taken on a more serious note. "If anyone ever does that again.. you don't have to worry. I will never let anything happen to you." He needed to keep repeating it because he felt like he'd failed her in the first place.

A slight nod of her head was really all that Raelynn give as a way to show Cas that she was listening to him. "You should probably still use the peroxide on your hand once we get out. There's only so much soap can do to help it get cleaned." Raelynn mumbled quietly, her eyes focused on her arms as she gently washed the suds off of her arms. Leaving behind a nice smell and soft skin.

"I agree, lavender and vanilla mixed together are amazing." Raelynn mumbled quietly as she set the bottom of soap down on the edge of the tub. Her eyes closing as she leaned to the side slightly, so that she was leaning against the tubs edge instead of leaning against Caspian's chest. It also lessened the feeling of his member pressing against her at each moment.

Crossing her arms on the edge of the cool tub, Rae rested her head on top of them and slowly closed her eyes. It was getting late and she was getting really tired. Hearing Caspian speaking still Rae forced her eyes open into small slits.

Staying quiet as he spoke, Rae pursed her lips into a thin line. She really had no idea what else to say in the moment. What could she even say? His friends were all scary, he admitted he was in with a bad crowd. Surely, things like this would happen more. "Thank you." Escaped from Rae's lips, her tone quiet, soft. "I'm glad you're always going to protect me." Raelynn mumbled quietly.

A few moments later, a soft sigh escaped from Rae. She couldn't do this anymore. She was to relaxed. "Can we get out now? If we stay in the hot water anymore I'll either turn into a prune or I'll fall asleep." Rae mumbled, turning her head slightly so that she could look at Caspian as she spoke.

Caspian let out a sigh when he realized they had been in the bath for so long that the water was starting to get cold. He frowned slightly, not particularly wanting to get out but Raelynn was right. It was time to get settled into bed. He nodded, urging her to get up and out of the tub. He leaned forward, turning off the jets before he pulled the plug from the drain. Caspian stood, climbing out of the tub before he moved over to the sink.

He knelt down, pulling out the bottle of peroxide. Caspian ground his teeth together as he started to pour it over his knuckles on one hand, glancing toward Raelynn to see if she was watching. It was a stinging pain that he could handle but still, it was unpleasant and he didn't want to have to deal with it. He flashed a slight smile when she looked at him, turning back to his task as he poured it over his other hand.

Putting the peroxide back where it belonged, Caspian straightened reluctantly. He left the bathroom, heading straight over to his dresser. Caspian plucked out a pair of shorts before turning toward Rae, eyeing her for a moment. "Do you want anything to drink? We should just relax... watch a movie," he commented, figuring such an easy activity could help them relax a bit further.

A small sense of relief washed over Raelynn as her request was accepted. She happily climbed out of the tub and grabbed one of the towels that were in the bathroom and proceeded to wrap herself up in the warm fluffy towel. Patting herself dry after a moment.

Hearing the door to a cabinet open, Rae glanced up. Her lips turning into a small frown as she saw what Cas was doing. The skin on the back of her neck raising slightly as she heard the bubbling noise that it made as it killed bacteria. "Told you it needed to be cleaned." Rae mumbled quietly as Caspian put the medicine bottle away before he left the room.

Staying put for a moment, Raelynn wondered if Cas would allow her to wear actual pj's to bed tonight, wear one of his shirts or if he'd tell her to stay naked or something. It was different every night it seemed. Then again, he never told her to be naked to bed unless he fooled with her, but still. There was a first time for everything.

Walking into Caspians bedroom, Rae looked towards the taller man and watched as he got shorts out. Her bright green eyes looked up towards his face as he asked her questions. "Um, yes to both?" Raelynn answered, she really would of liked to have just gone to bed, but she wouldn't ever turn down the chance to watch a movie.

Caspian eyed Raelynn as she answered him, giving a quick nod of his head. "Alright. I'll be a minute. WHy don't you decide what you want to watch while I get our drinks together," he instructed, turning to leave Raelynn alone. He was thankful that he didn't feel like he had to worry about her doing something bad, now. In the first few days after he had slept with Rae for the first time, he'd been worried that she was going to do something drastic. But she hadn't and now it seemed like they were finally into a routine of sorts.

Pouring two glasses of iced tea, Caspian decided not to grab anything to snack on because he didn't want the crumbs in the bed. He made his way back upstairs, smiling as he caught sight of Raelynn already crawled beneath the covers. "Here," he murmured, offering her glass out to her before he followed suit and laid down in the bed.

Caspian held his arm out to her, pulling her into his side almost immediately. "What did you pick?" He asked, trying to distract himself over what had just happened. He knew that Rae had been against sleeping with him in the beginning but.. for someone else to put their hands on her? Caspian wasn't okay with it and he felt like in the moment, he had to keep her safe. He had to show her that not everyone was like Marc.

"Okay," Raelynn mumbled, followed by a small and simple nod as she listened to his instructions. Rae watched as Caspian left the room before she headed over towards the movie collection that he had in his room. Her bright green eyes looked over all of the movies, taking the time to read some of the descriptions of the movie. A lot of them seemed interesting, but most of them Rae had already seen a million times as well.

After a few moments, Raelynn picked out a movie called Troy and put it in the DVD player. The movie was one that she had seen a million times, but it was just so good. Plus, the acting was amazing, especially Heath Ledger's parts.

Standing up, Raelynn tightened the towel around herself for a moment. Her bright eyes glanced towards the doo. Caspian hadn't come back yet, so, she took that chance to borrow one of his shirts before she went and climbed into the bed. She hated sharing the bed with him, she hated how close he liked to be, but. She didn't want to be kicked out onto the street. Rae had nowhere else to go. She needed to stay here, at least time she could somehow find a job that she could live off of.

Glancing up, Rae sat up a little more in the bed as she reached out for the drink. "Thank you," Rae mumbled quietly before taking a sip of the drink, followed by leaning into his side. "I picked Troy. It's one of my favorite movies." Rae said as she rested her head against his chest as she looked towards the screen, watching as the introduction to the plot and bit of history started to play on the screen.

Caspian nodded when Raelynn told him what she'd picked, starting to run his fingers through her hair. He leaned over, pressing a kiss to her forehead before he relaxed against her. "I think I saw that movie once when it came out... don't think I've seen it since," he exclaimed, trying to recall if he'd ever seen the movie since then. He didn't think that he had. Leaning up slightly as he grabbed his glass, Caspian took a sip of his tea before setting it back down.

"Sleep well," Caspian murmured into her ear, just before he started to fall asleep. His grip only loosened a bit, his mind not allowing him to let go of Raelynn. He had to keep her close, had to protect her because she deserved it. Even if he was related to her, that didn't mean anything. They'd barely spent a few hours together throughout her entire life, was it really so wrong? After all, they were virtually strangers.

In the morning, Caspian groaned as the lights started peaking through the blinds. He rolled over, his arm sliding around Rae's waist to bring her tight against his chest. "Come on. Wake up," he murmured, nipping at her neck. He wanted more but there was sure to be a meeting he needed to attend. One that he needed to go to or he would suffer rather dire consequences.

Letting out a sigh, Caspian rolled over onto his back. "I have somewhere that I need to go today. But first, breakfast..." he trailed off, eyeing Rae for a moment. "How's that sound?'

Soft breaths escaped from Raelynn as she slept. Her lips parted slightly as small snores escaped from them. Her back was facing Caspian and her arms were curled under her head, acting like a little leverage for the pillow that she was using. Peaceful, would be a good word to describe how she looked at the moment. Not a care or worry in the world to bother her.

At the sudden feel of something on her neck. Rae couldn't help the small gasp that escaped form her, followed by her shoulders and legs squirming at the sudden feeling. "I don't wanna." Raelynn mumbled quietly as she slowly opened her eyes. She had stayed up to finish the movie, so this morning she was a little more tired than usual.

Then, as Caspian's voice started to fill Rae's ears. She shifted her gave towards him as she shifted to laying on her stomach. Her head facing him as her lips pursed. He was going out today, which meant she'd finally get to be left alone for a while. She'd finally get some time away from his prying eyes. Right?

"What do you want to eat?" Rae asked, her voice quiet as she struggled to stay awake. After her words, Rae breathed in deeply before letting out a small yawn. "I'm still tired, but do you want me to make breakfast this time?" Rae asked, moving to a sitting position on the bed. The shirt of his only ending at her lap, meaning that Rae had to hold down the front of Cas' shirt to hide the rest of her lower half from his view.

Caspian gave half of a shrug when Raelynn asked what he wanted to eat. He didn't really know, he was far too focused on what he knew he was going to end up facing when he left the house. Raelynn wouldn't have to deal with the consequences of last night, Caspian would. That was all there was to it. He let out a sigh, running his fingers through her hair. He knew that when he returned, he wasn't going to be in such an easy going mood. He wanted to savor it for just a few more moments.

He reached his hand out, brushing his thumb over her thigh as he eyed her. Caspian wanted to roll around in bed for the rest of the morning, until their appetites dragged them up and out of bed to continue their time together in the kitchen. He sighed, rubbing at his face with his free hand before looking back up to her. "Just toss something together quick. I have to get ready so that I can head right out after eating," he commented, pushing himself up into a sitting position.

Caspian tossed the blankets back before he stood, glancing toward Rae. "I'm going to shower and get ready. I'll be down in a bit," he said, turning to head into his bathroom. He was already dreading the day and the further that he went about getting ready, the worse his mood got.

A small quick nod was really all that Rae felt comfortable giving Caspian as she listened to his words. "Okay." She said quietly, doing her best to offer him a small smile to go along with the nod of her head. "I'll just start making something then." Rae waited for Caspian to leave her alone before she made her way out of his room and towards the kitchen.

It'd be a lie if she said she didn't want to shiver in disgust when he touched her leg. Rae really didn't want that sort of thing with him, but she was too scared to tell Caspian. He didn't seem right in the head anymore, not since he took her innocence away last week. He almost seems, overprotective now. In a way that was no longer how it should be.

Walking into the kitchen, Raelynn opened the fridge and looked around. They'd need to go grocery shopping. Still though, with some looking around, she managed to get an idea on what to make and started to pull out ingredients. A small hum escaping from Rae as she started to throw everything into the skillet.

To be honest, Rae had never made a ham and cheese omelet before, but she's seen youtube videos of them. So, fingers crossed they came out decently.
As the omelets were cooking, Rae quickly got two plates out and started to set the kitchen island for them to eat at before placing the omlettes on top of the plates.
