Aerith's cheeks were still bright red as she watched him answer her question, and when he stood abruptly and began to stammer, she frowned, her stomach filling with dread as she worried that she had said something wrong, or that he had realized that she was dumb and that he didn't want to marry her anymore. "Alright, I suppose that's a good idea.." She said as she stood, although she made sure to stand a bit further from him, unable to even bring herself to look him in the eye. "I.. I'm sorry that I'm dumb, and don't know things that I'm supposed to, and that I'm not pretty or popular.. I-If you don't want to marry me anymore, it's fine, and I understand, and I can still go talk to Elwin and convince him to let you stay, or I can sneak you back out of the castle and have Ceren bring you home.." She spoke quickly, suddenly feeling very self-conscious as she spoke her fears, glancing up at him for a moment before looking back down at the floor as she shuffled her feet.
Elwin smiled as he held her in his arms, happy to have her with him. He felt incredibly lucky that he was going to marry her, his best friend, and if the Council would have allowed it, he would have married her right that afternoon. He chuckled a little and nodded in agreement, pressing a kiss to her cheek. "We do have small families. But maybe a bigger one would be nice." He gave her an odd look though when she mentioned that they could have twelve children if they started now, laughing a bit awkwardly. "As much as I would love to have twelve by the time you are thirty, I don't think the Council would approve if we... you know... before the marriage."
