Jessie smiled as he offered to let her write int he house. "Really?! That would be amazing!" she said and smiled. "Thank you. I will bring my laptop tomorrow." she said and set up an old box packing the ancient plates. "You might even want to get these appraised. They might be worth an arm and a leg." she teased and helped him clean out the kitchen. Once they finished she sat back with him drinking some water. "Wow when they said this house had been empty for years I really didn't think it would be this dirty." she chuckled.

Victor watched her closely, as she packed away some plates, "That's good," he said softly. He moved over and began cleaning some of the cupboards and shelves. "It's not that dirty, most of the furniture was covered, the dust settled on the covers," he said lightly.

Jessie nodded. She was glad to hear it but was sure there was still a lot more to do than he realized to get the house livable at least comfortably again. "Well then I will have plenty of time to write every night." she said and grinned at him. She stretched out and looked over at him. "You don't cook do you?" she chuckled.

Viktor chuckled, "Well, isn't that what you want Jessie?" He teased. He moved over to the other side of the room, and began tidying. "No I don't really see the need," he admitted lightly.

He moved towards her, and smiled, "I don't eat that much," he said softly.

Jessie chuckled nodding. It was true she couldn't complain about more time to write in this stunning house. She looked up at him as he moved closer blushing softly. "Don't cook, don't eat... well you are trying to live up to that family legend aren't you?" she teased. "Trust me put in a good kitchen for guests." she said and bit her lip softly.

Viktor smirked slightly, "maybe just a little," he teased back. He looked at the kitchen, "yeah I suppose getting it working again, isn't a bad idea," he said softly.

He moved around behind her, and caught a whiff of her scent, which caught him off guard. He paused for a moment, needing to gather his composure.

Jessie chuckled as he conceded to her points. She ran her hand through her hair moving it over her shoulder. She finished her water bottle then turned seeing Victor frozen behind her and she stomach jumped. She giggled softly and placed a hand on his chest. "You're amusing." she patted his chest then slipped around him to go get her laptop. "Don't trip over me I am going to set up in the entry way." she said on her way out of the room.

Jessie sat in front of the front door fighting the urge to open it and let the night air flood into the house as she wrote.

Viktor was glad she thought he was just teasing, when he froze. He moved back towards the kitchen counter, "of course, thanks for helping," he called to her as she walked away. He was truly finding it hard to be this close to a human again.

Viktor had been a 'vegetarian' for many years, since moving away from Pembroke Hollow, but the taste, and power of human blood was still a powerful memory.

He was beginning to wonder how to bring it up with her, as he knew if she was going to be in this house more often, eventually he'd need to feed on her, he wouldn't be able to stop himself.

Jessie was generously typing hours later and yawned really wishing she had some coffee and could crash on his couch so she could go until she passed out but unfortunately she knew it was nearly time to stop so that she could head back to her little cottage. She ran a hand through her hair as she found a spot to stop and sighed. She saved and closed her laptop. She was almost out of juice anyways. She looked up and around. It was dark but the sky was lightening.

Jessie stood gathering her things at the door and stretched. She had been sitting on that hard wood a little too long in one position. "Victor?" she called and moved through the house going to say good bye wondering where he had gone off to. She hope he hadn't gone to bed and she would wake him. She remembered him saying he was a night person so maybe like her he was still hardly just awake.

Viktor had headed upstairs, and spent several hours reading though the history of the town. His family had diligently kept records about everything, so when someone came back they'd be able to blend in properly. What was surprising him, was how different everything was in reality, to what it should have been like.

He heard her call out, and headed back downstairs. He caught her on the stairs, "Jessie, did you get much work done?" he asked he curious. He had managed to calm himself down, and compose himself.

Jessie grinned. "Yes I got a lot done but I can hardly stay upright so I have to head back to my place. Same time tomorrow after sunset?" she asked him wiggling her eyebrows enjoying this legend he had told her. She was half tempted to start writing a second book at the same time but she was sure her editor wouldn't approve.

Viktor smiled softly, "Well that's good," he said lightly. He thought for a moment, "Of course, I might be out though, but I'll leave the door unlocked," he said softly. He was thinking of seeing what she would do, if he left her alone in the house.

Jessie nodded and smiled. "Okay." She said and smiled at him "See you later Viktor." she said and headed back tot he door with a little wave grabbing her things. She slipped out into the night air closing the door. It was nearly morning. By the time she would get back it would be.

Viktor moved upstairs, to lie down. He didn't need to sleep, but he needed a break from things. His hunger was definitely gonna bug him tomorrow, if he didn't go hunting. Unfortunately, it was one of the rare days here, when the sun actually made an appearance.

Jessie got home and dropped her things on the chair pulling off her pants and crawling into bed in full sunlight falling asleep instantly.

The moon came up and she groaned getting up stretching. She looked and smiled before going and cleaning up dressing in some relaxed cloths. She was going to do a little work in that old house wanting to see it restored after all. She packed some cleaning supplies and her laptop and a change just in case he let her crash on the couch. Once she was ready she started the track back to the old house having brought food too. She went to knock but remember he said he would leave it unlocked. She bit her lip and tried it. She stepped in a nd looked around. "Hello?" she called before moving tot he kitchen they had cleaned up. She would try not to stay so late tonight if he wasn't going to be back till late so that she might wake up and call some work men to help with the kitchen for Viktor.

Viktor wasn't home, when she arrived. He had taken the chance to head out hunting. He still hadn't worked out how he'd make it back into the house without her noticing the blood, but he needed to feed.

He had managed to track a deer, for several miles, and was about to make his move. He pounced on it, quickly snapping it's neck, killing it quickly.

After he'd fed, and disposed of the corpse. Viktor headed home, his clothes, a little messy, but his mouth covered in blood from his frenzied feeding. He headed towards the secret door, hoping to slip in quietly.

Jessie had taken a break from her cleaning through the bathrooms on the main floor smelled amazing and where working again. She was in the front entry again her nose to her computer quickly typing a sentence then bit her lip looking around. She kind of wanted to go back to that entry way she had found that lead her to that amazing library but she thought she should save that for later so she went to the kitchen and snacked on some fruit she had put not he table while she wrote.

Viktor managed to slip inside, he headed upstairs, hearing her in the kitchen. He tidied himself up, before checking in the mirror, that his eyes weren't bright red, from his feeding before heading downstairs.

"Ah, Jessie, how was your day?" he called as he entered the room.

Jessie smiled turning "I thought you said you weren't going to be here. She said smiling happily at him. "I honestly got home so late I slept most the day away. I was thinking though that I should call it earlier tonight though so that I can help you set up with some contractors if you like to work on the kitchen while you are asleep. I am thinking at least a new fridge, dishwasher and an oven. The rest can be touched up with some paint and sealer and you should have your kitchen in working order again."

Viktor looked at her, and nodded. "Well, I wasn't expecting to be here when you got here," he said softly. He moved round her, "that sounds okay, But don't worry too much," he added.

Viktor made his way to a seat sitting down. He could smell her scent on the air, it was pleasant.
