@ A Drop On the Window Jessie blushed seeing Viktor. He was so casual. Was this affecting him the way it was her? She bit her lip looking down for a moment then pressed a smile. "Viktor." she purred his name though her eyes where edgy. "I'm well. Was just heading to see Maxwell. I figured we would talk about what he wanted to teach me tomorrow." she said and stepped aside. "I didn't meant to get in your way. I'll just be going." she said.
Viktor nodded, catching the tone in her, she still seemed annoyed. "I could join you if you want, I've missed you," he said softly. He stepped back, giving her some space.
@ A Drop On the Window Jessie looked at him her eyes softening a little revealing the hurt behind them. "You're rules Viktor. I can handle Maxwell for a little conversation. I'll see you tomorrow with whatever he plans." she said knowing he would be there.
@ A Drop On the Window She hated how he got all self righteous with her like she was denying him something. She was keeping his rules because she didn't want to have to do this again or have to convince him at all that she was not addicted. She hated this and he had to know that. He had to see how she ached to be near him, to touch him but she held back for him. She headed down the stairs seeing Maxwell and sitting beside him. He looked over at her suspiciously. "Jessie." he said with distain. "Maxwell. I've spent time with all of the other family members except you. Tomorrow will you have something planned to keep showing me what it's like?" she asked him and he grinned deviously. "Yes I will."
@ A Drop On the Window Jessie looked at Maxwell. "Would you give it to me if I was?" she asked curiously. "It wasn't my intent. I came to let you know that I was available and to remind you that outside of your... quest to fully educate me I still know nothing about you."
Maxwell looked at her, "no I wouldn't," he said softly. He nodded, "I suppose that is fair, ask me something," he said. He wasn't big on sharing, but guessed if she went through with this he had to be at least civil.
@ A Drop On the Window Jessie nodded having figured he wouldn't tell her. Better for her to be unnerved by it was his thoughts. She was surprised he told her to ask something. She knew she should ask something else more personal about him but this seemed more pressing. "Why do you dislike me? Ever since we met you've disliked me. Your family seems to think you decent but I have yet to see that so explain it to me."
@ A Drop On the Window Jessie took in the information. "You're right. I don't think he has processed the Isabella thing yet either... but I am good for him, Maxwell. If your plan is to try and show either of us that the other is bad for the other it's not going to work." she said. She sighed softly. "I really hope that once you get over this, that we can try to get along."
@ A Drop On the Window Jessie smiled softly. "You're so very untrusting. One day you'll tell me your story." she said and smiled as she stood. "See you tomorrow." she said and headed out of the house. It was still early but she was emotionally exhausted.
@ A Drop On the Window Jessie headed home to the little cottage on the cliffs. She was so tired she crawled into bed without eating. She slept hard that night and in the morning woke up starving. She made a huge break and sat on the patio eating while she looked out at the cliffs. She remembered being out here with Viktor. Her heart ached. She wanted hi back. This waiting was killing her. She felt like it had been an eternity away from him. Today would be the fifth day. She was guessing a week meant seven days. That meant there where three days left. She knew with all the crap she was going to face with Maxwell today meant that she would also get to see Viktor. It was part of the deal. She wanted to see him without breaking his rules. She wanted to see him more than she was afraid what Maxwell was going to put her through today.
@ A Drop On the Window Jessie got ready and drove to the Pembroke estate walking in. She found Maxwell and Viktor in the kitchen having a heated conversation. She cleared her throat. "Boys." she said and watched them turn to look at her. "Calm down." she said and walked over to them. She looked at Viktor. "I already agreed to let Maxwell do his worst besides you will be there to pull the plug if it gets to much or I can't handle it." she told him. She looked at Maxwell. "So are you going to tell me now or are we going to ride silently into whatever mischief you have planned?" she asked him.
Maxwell smiled looking at her, he could see why Viktor liked her. He looked at Viktor, "we are going for a drive, to show you the seriousness of the situation, and the cost," he said softly.
