"Yes ma'am. My mother taught me since I was young. I am allowed to do minor injuries but she is still teaching me how to take care of major ones." Now that she had permission, Hazel got up onto her feet but kept her head down as she walked over to Rae. The girl set the basket down and opened it up, revealing a rather large first aid kit. Once she was in front of the woman, Hazel got back down on her knees and opened her hands, waiting for Rae to give her hand.

Once Rae's hand was in hers, Hazel lifted her head and started to get to work on the injury. For a minute or so, the girl was quiet, looking over it before giving a small nod and continuing. Hazel cleaned it, taking the dry blood off before taking two different types of ointment. For her bruises, Hazel used a light green ointment, gently rubbing it in. Though, for the open wounds, Rae covered it with something clear. Then she wrapped it up in cotton and gauze.

After that was taken care of, Hazel dropped her head again, stayed kneeling on the floor. "Is there anything else I can help you with ma'am?"

The way the young girl acted was kinda off-putting, she was a lot more submissive than the other non-shifters in her pack. Then again, what did James tell her? They were a war pack? Rae didn't really understand what he meant by that, but she assumed it meant that they had a different hierarchy here or something.

Staying silent, Rae quietly watched the girl clean her wounds. Doing her best to not wince as she cleaned them and applied to heal ointments to them. Rae had to admit, the girl really did seem to know what she was doing, because her hand was hurting a lot less after having the stuff put on her hand and wrapped. Slowly, Rae lifted her hand and admired the skillful job that was done, before she slowly looked back down towards the girl.

"Well, you can start by not calling me ma'am. I'm not that old." Rae said, trying to sound like she was joking with the young girl. "Rae would be fine." Slowly, Rae licked her slightly dry lips as she tried to figure out what could be safe questions to ask, she didn't know if James forbids her from answering certain things or not. "What's your name?" Rae asked, starting with something simple.

"Can you tell me anything about the pack?" She tilted her head to the side a little bit, curious as to rather or not the girl was going to humor her and answer any of her questions. "Anything about James? Is he a good alpha?"

Hazel shifted uncomfortably as the woman started to ask her questions. She was unsure of what to do in this situation. Rae was definitely further up in the hierarchy than her, so denying her questions seemed disrespectful and like a bad idea. However, Hazel was also aware that the woman was locked up in this room and had only joined the pack recently.

The guards had told her to be careful with James' mate and to yell if she needed help. No one knew what she was capable of yet. However, they were still to treat her with the respect she deserved. And it wasn't like James said they should answer her questions... It was not like she was asking Hazel to help her escape. So, after a moment of thought, Hazel decided it was safer to answer the woman's questions. "My name is Hazel, M-"

The girl's nose wrinkled a bit as she stopped herself from making a mistake. She hesitated for a moment before continuing on. "What would you like to know about the pack?" Hazel was unsure what to tell her about them. They were just like any other pack, weren't they? "James is our alpha and has been for a few years now. He is a really great alpha, Miss. He takes care of us and protects us. Mom says he always does what is best for the pack."

The girl smiled softly after a moment. "James always makes sure to bring me strawberries when they're in season since the young ones can't go to that part of the forest." Hazel lifted her head up a bit to look at Rae's face, trying to figure out if she answered her questions.

A small bit of relief washed over Rae as it seemed that Hazel gave in and was going to speak to her more. Her lips turning into a small smile as she tried to emit a calm vibe to help the girl be more open with her. "Well, how many members are there in the pack?" She started, hoping the simple question would be easy enough for her to answer. "Do you all share this house? Or do you all have different houses?" She asked, curious since her pack was quite small her alpha had thought it best to keep everyone under one room.

"What happened to the old alpha?" Rae asked in a quiet tone, not sure if the question would upset her or not. She didn't know if the alpha had past away or was overthrown by James. She was looking for any sort of information about this place she could get her hands on and unfortunately Hazel was going to be Rae's little guinea pig.

Hearing that James actually goes out of his way to bring a young pup something special actually brought a small smile onto Rae's lips. Her head nodding a little bit, then she quickly stopped. She wasn't supposed to start approving of him. He kidnapped her, she needed to stay stubborn and hate him. "Thank you, Hazel, for answering my questions." She said quietly, keeping her voice calm as she spoke to the timid little one.

"Are there other pups in the pack?" Raelynn nervously bit her bottom lip, curious about rather or not Hazel was alone or not. "How many shifters are there in the pack?" Rae knew her last question was a little gutsy to ask because it would show rather or not the pack was actually as strong as James was making Rae think or is actually a weak pack that she might be able to sneak out of.
Not that her wolf would allow her though.

"We all have different houses, miss." Hazel answered her. She was surprised that Rae had not noticed that when she came in. "It's almost like a small neighborhood. James always said that we should be comfortable... Have you not seen it?" Hazel found that a bit odd.

A little frown came across her face as Rae asked about the old alpha. Hazel shifted a bit uncomfortably and looked off to the side for a moment. She was clearly rather upset by the mention of it. Though, still she answered her question. Hazel couldn't see the harm in it, at least. "He died, miss. He's been dead for a couple of years now." Her voice was just barely above a whisper as she spoke.

Hazel looked down at the basket she brought in, her fingers tightening around it. She was beginning to get uneasy about all of the questions that Rae was asking. While no one said that she couldn't, something about this really didn't feel right. And now she was having difficulty figuring out what to do. Hazel didn't want to get in trouble for disobeying but was she suppose to be answering her questions? Hazel knew she wasn't suppose to talk about pack numbers, like how many there were, how many shifters and how many pups. James said that was private information that kept them safe.

The young girl's eyes began to tear up as she struggled with the decision. She knew to be a good girl to everyone above her but Hazel didn't want to disappoint James either. Hazel was confused as to whether or not she was suppose to treat Rae like James or not. She was his mate, which was a high position, but Hazel knew something weird was going on here.

The young girl immediately stood up, feeling overwhelmed with everything. She immediately bowed down low to Hazel again. "I'm sorry miss. Please don't punish me." She whimpered before running out the door to the guards with tears in her eyes.

Slowly, Rae nodded her head as she listened to Hazel talk about the packs living situation. It must be nice having the ability to live so freely. Plus, on the other hand, that must also mean that the pack must be especially strong. Which, would most likely work against Raelynn if she ever got out of this room and escaped.

As Hazel spoke about the old alpha passing, it linked with what Rae sorta expected. No alpha stepped down to let another run the pack. At least, that's what her hope packs alpha told her when she was young and curious about the hierarchy of the pack. Although, that did leave the question of how he died. Like, did James kill him? Or, did he die of natural causes? Rae's bet was on James killing him.

Blinking from her thoughts, Raelynn frowned and reached out towards Hazel's arm as the girl stood up. "Hazel wait!" Rae called out, frowning as the only one to keep her company ran off. A small sigh escaped from Rae as she relaxed back against the wall. Her bright green eyes moving to gaze up at the ceiling. "Great, just great. I'm alone again." She mumbled quietly as she closed her eyes and wallowed in the quiet of the room. Wishing that she was surrounded by her friends and family again. She could really use the comfort right about now.

"I want to go home," Rae mumbled quietly as she slowly stood up and crawled onto the bed. She grabbed the covers and pulled them over her head as she laid curled up. The faint smell of James filled Rae's senses and she could feel her wolf cause a longing feeling to build in her chest. An for the first time today, she wouldn't mind talking to that kidnapper of hers. To be able to debate on whatever she could try and twist around, and probably fail at. To learn about the pack, to just speak to. Wolves were social creatures, and this small amount of time alone was killing her.

As James ran back to his camp, he had two of his fighters waiting for him at the entrance. A small growl left him as he shifted back into his human form. This was not going to be a good discussion, the man could already see that. Whenever someone was waiting for him at the entrance, it was always some problem...

The man took James aside from the others and spoke to him about the incident. Soon enough, he was face to face with Hazel, trying to calm the poor girl down as she told him everything. Hazel went into detail about her injury, what Hazel revealed and what Rae had wanted to know. The issue was quickly solved with some reassurance and a pint of ice cream for the young one.

James then made his way back to his house, a deep frown on his face as he did so. He knew that Rae would be curious, would want to know more about the pack she was in. However, James had not expected the woman to be so forceful to make one of his pups cry. He could feel some anger moving up in his chest. This was unacceptable. The older pups, he could see her causing a problem for but the pups?

Stomping up the stairs, James threw the door open and went straight to the lump on the bed. He grabbed the blanket and threw it off of Rae before grabbing her by the arm. James was quick to get her up on her knees so she was looking straight at him. "What the HELL were you thinking when you made my pup cry?"

A sharp intake of breath was the first indication of Rae's surprise. The second was the loud gasp of her blanket being thrown off before being pulled up to her knees. Confusion and fear itching into her eyes as she looked into the eyes of the alpha male, her mate. Her lips quivered as she listened to him, not understanding what he was saying for a moment. Then, in a flash, she remembered.

"I-It wasn't my intention." Raelyn rushed out, not daring to try and pull her arm free as she spoke to him. Her tone was quiet as she tried to settle her rapidly beating heart. "I-I was curious so I was asking questions. I didn't mean for any of them to upset her. I swear." She sounded like she was slightly begging at the end of her confession. Her fear starting to make it's presence known, but she did her best to try and not let it show.

"I-I'm sorry. I won't ask any more questions about the pack. I'm sorry, please. Please let me go, you're hurting me." Rae's bottom lip quivered slightly as she gently tugged on the arm he was roughly holding onto. Then, Rae let out a small quiet whimper, hoping that the sound would cause him to allow some sort of pity to come from the man. She really did not expect him to be this furious. She'll have to be careful if she ever wants to ask someone questions again. If she ever got the chance.

"Your wolves drugged me and locked me up here. Then, you marked me in my sleep. You can't expect me to not want to know about the pack." Rae's voice was quiet, almost non-existent as she kept her gaze on the males, not able to tear her gaze away. Her confusion had shifted all the way to fear now. She didn't know what he could possibly do to her now. Slowly, trying her best to try and calm the beast, Rae raised her hand that wasn't being held up and placed it gently on his chest, right where his heart would be. "I didn't know that any of my questions were out of line. I'm sorry."

James' grip on Rae tightened as she spoke. Anger was still boiling through him but he could feel his own wolf whimpering and tugging on James to hold back. In the end, he couldn't blame her much for her motive, but her follow through was terrible. A growl left James' lips before he threw her back down onto the bed. As much as he was furious, his wolf was feeling too attached to her. It was going to be hard to punish Rae when need be... Though it was perhaps for the best that James not punish her yet.

"Don't you ever ever upset one of the pups again. If I find out that you mess with one of the young ones again, you are going to regret it!" James said as he took a step back and took a moment to calm himself back down. He pressed a hand into his forehead, taking a deep breath before dropping his hand and looking back at the young woman. This was going to be a very difficult process.

"You may ask your questions. I expect you to be curious and want to know about your new pack. Though, if you are going to do so, it is best that you direct your questions to the adults of the pack. I think it best if you keep away from the little ones for now. I do not like coming home to my pups crying." James stared at the girl for a moment as he determined that he made himself clear. He continued on. "You can also ask me if you have any questions."

A small yelp escaped from Rae as James threw her back. Her arms flailing to help catch her as she bounced slightly on the soft surface of the mattress. Her bright green eyes were clenched closed for a moment before she opened them and looked at James worriedly. Her bottom lip between her teeth as she nervously nibbled on it. "Y-yes sir I'm sorry." She said quietly, apologizing for the millionth time it seemed.

Slowly, her eyes shifted downwards, not wanting to look towards James anymore. She didn't want to deal with his wrath again. Rae shook a little bit as she listened to James. She knew that she had made a mistake asking such pack related questions to Hazel, but she didn't know how much James would have cared. It surprised her how much he cared about his pack members feelings about all of this.

"Yes, sir," Rae said quietly once more, her right hand moving to rest in her lap as she moved to sit on her knees. Her hand throbbed at having to hold Raelynn's weight as she fell back onto the bed. "I don't have any more questions at this time." She liked, wincing as her hand throbbed slightly as she rested it against her knee. Wolves were fast healers, but sometimes it just wasn't quick enough. Rae hoped that her hand would stop hurting by tomorrow when she wakes up.

Glancing towards the door, Raelynn saw that it was still open. Making it quite tempting to try and made a dash for it. To fun for freedom, to go back home, but. James was in the room and he was close by. How fast was he? Could she outrun him? Rae was pretty fast for a wolf, but could she outrun an alpha male? Her jugular vain bobbed slightly as she gulped. The idea of what could possibly happen to her if he caught her trying to escape scaring her a little bit, but, she had to at least try. Right?

So. taking the small chance that she was granted. Raelynn pulled on her enhanced speed from her wolf and dived off of the bed. She ran towards the opened door, hoping to get through it and at least through the front door before she'd be caught. Although, if she could make it out of the house, then that'd be amazing as well for the young she-wolf. Her freedom was just on the other side, and she really hoped to get it.

Before Rae could even get to the door, James was on top of her. His growl came deep from his body, seemingly filling the whole room as he slammed his body on top of her. Once they were both down on the ground, it was a struggle. James fought Rae off, pinning her down onto the ground harshly. His grip on her was relentless. His knees pressing into her legs, his hands wrapped around her wrists and moving above her head.

His eyes seemed to flash red as he looked down at the woman in fury. Oh, he wanted to hurt her, rip this woman apart. Though, Rae had something going for her and that was that he needed her. But that did not mean there were other means of punishment. James leaned down and bit Rae's mark hard, wanting to remind her wolf who she was mated to. His own wolf whining at the thought of losing his mate.

James then got off of Rae, grabbing onto her hair and throwing her down onto the bed. "You thought that you could get past me? You foolish, foolish girl." James snapped at her before wrapping his hand around her throat, choking her. "I told you what will happen if you tried to escape. Do you not remember? Do you not care about your old pack?" James yelled at her. He watched her choke before letting go of her, letting Rae fall back into the bed.

"You are lucky that I need you." James growled. His mind was running at a mile a minute as he thought about what to do. He knew this was going to happen, knew that the first week would be rough. But that did not change the fury that ran through him. James wanted to give the girl time but he also wanted to make sure she knew his threats weren't empty.

Everything seemed to happen in a blur, being slammed to the floor. James singing his fangs into her fresh marking and reopening the wound, allowing for his scent on her to grow stronger from the mark. The toxins from his marking causing Rae's hormones to go into overdrive as she allowed for a few growls of her own to leak through as she was thrown onto the bed and choked by the monster of a man.

This time though, as he choked her and spoke. She didn't dare break eye contact with the alpha male. No, Rae couldn't control herself. She was challenging him and her wolf craved to be on equal footing as this male. "You wouldn't dare lay a finger on my birthplace, you're too much of a coward!" Rae yelled back, her hands clenching into fists. The wounds on her right hand opening slightly and turning an irritated red color.

"Exactly my point! You need me, which is why you won't do anything to me!" Rae yelled once more before moving quickly and lunging herself at James. In the heat of the moment, she reached forward and grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him forward as she sank her enlarged canines into his own shoulder. Allowing for her to mark him as well in the heat of the moment, her wolf feeling victorious for showing that she wasn't a lowly omega who was too scared to do something to intimate in the werewolf world.

Then, as soon as James metallic blood touched her tongue, Rae seemed to snap out of her little rage moment and slid back. Her eyes wide as she slid to her knees as she stared at the bloody mark she left on the male in front of her. She had completed the mate's mark, meaning that her wolf had accepted James as her rightful mate. That she belonged to him and that her wolf wanted to obey no other male, but him.

Another growl escaped from Rae before she let out a frustrated scream and leaned down slightly as she punched the mattress. "Damn it!" She yelled in frustration. Angry at herself, angry at her wolf, angry at James, and above all else her birth pack. Nothing was fair, she was trapped and out of anger, she completed the males mark making her completely mated to James against her will. She was stuck here, and the only way out would be to run away or die trying. Either way though, she'd be stuck with his scent mark on her shoulder.

"You jerk, look at what you made me do." She murmured, before clenching her eyes shut and allowed for her shoulders to slouch. Then, they shook slightly as waves of different emotions washed over Rae. Her mind a whirlwind of thoughts that she couldn't stop from running wild.

James couldn't help the but let out a huff as she started to yell at him after biting him. "I didn't make you do anything. You did it yourself. Your own idiocy is going to make you miserable here. And, frankly, I don't care if you're happy or not. You have a choice. Either, you be a good girl and do what you're told or continue this nonsense. If you're good, I will make sure that you get what you want, and you get to be happy. If you are bad, well, then life is going to get much rougher than this. Think about that."

With that, James turned and left the room, closing and locking the door behind him. She still had an opportunity to be happy, if Rae wanted it. It was only the first day and James was not inclined to retract his offer yet. He had expected some push back. However, there was something that needed to be done to prove that he meant what he said. He had told Rae that something would happen if she tried to escape. Though, not even 24 hours later, she was testing him. James was a man of his word and he would follow through.

Heading out to his extractors, James spoke to them about pulling around member out from her pack. He didn't care who it was as long as it was someone. Surely, Rae would know all of them and wouldn't want any harm to come to them. Besides, she called him a coward and James was happy to prove that her birthplace was nothing to him except a way to extort her. Once the men understood the mission, they got ready before making their way out. He was sure that they would be back by morning and that would be perfect timing.

With that finished, James made his way back to his home. He would need to sleep well in order to get ready for tomorrow. It was going to be an eventful morning... One he was sure that Rae would never forget.

The silence in the room was deafening. After James had left Rae, she had turned and plopped face first into the pillows on the bed and got out the rest of her annoyance with a few silence screams before she sat back up and punched the pillow. Raelynn had made a mistake in making James mad, she knew it, but she didn't care. She just wanted to go home. She wanted to be with her parents, with her packmates, where things were familiar to her. Not this place, not with a man who wanted to just use her.

Turning onto her side, Raelynn spent the rest of the day just laying in bed. Not talking to anyone who brought her meals, not that they even asked questions anyway. The ensuite that was connected to her room was a nice distraction. Sure, she'd much rather have a bath, but then again it was probably a smart choice to leave that out. Less of a chance she'd try and drown herself or something.

The rest of the night went by slowly, Rae dipped in and out of sleep. She was pretty restless, her mind going back and forth on what she should do. She wanted to run, but she could see how that worked out for her. She was trapped still, a captive for a man who just wanted her to help populate his pack. The mere thought of having pups with him disgusted her.

As the sun slowly came through the window in Rae's room, she laid on her side. Blankets pulled tight around herself as her half-lidded eyes watched the suns rays creep up the wall and fill her bland room with light. Today was a new day, and she wished it had never come.

As James was having his own breakfast in the morning, he was pleased to see the wolves who had been sent out enter his home. A larger smile moved along his face as he noticed that they were carrying a young man with them. He was still knocked out, and probably would be for hours. Though unconscious or not, James could use him. Telling the men to leave the man there on the floor, they did so before heading back to their own homes to rest.

After finishing his meal, James stood up and inspected the passed out man. It became clear to James that he was an adult, though not by too many years. He seemed to be rather strong as well. James was a bit surprised that his wolves went after him and not someone weaker, but having someone who was probably a pack protector sent a better message. James could do whatever he wanted to Rae's pack, and he wanted her to know that.

James picked the man up, throwing him over his shoulder before heading up to Rae's room. Breakfast had not yet been delivered to her, but he was rather sure that the girl was awake at this point. Without announcing himself, James walked into the room and dropped the man on the floor for Rae to see. "I keep my word, girl." He growled at her. "And because of your disobedience, it is time that I teach you a listen through your pack mate here."

The sudden sound of her door opening caused Rae to jump. She had been so lost in her thoughts that she hadn't even thought about listening to her surroundings. Scurrying onto her knees, Rae's bright green eyes widened as she saw James and then gulped as she noticed he was carrying someone on his shoulder. Her lips slowly dipped into a small frown before parting slightly in disbelief at who it was.

"M-Marcus." She whispered, not believing what she was seeing at the moment. Her eyes shifting for a few moments between James and her unconscious friend. "W-what did you do to Marcus?" She squeaked out as she looked towards James, her eyes wide as she listened to him. She couldn't help but gulp at what she could only imagine James doing to her friend and packmate.

Slowly, Raelynn started to shake her head. Not wanting this to happen. "N-no, please don't," Rae said quietly, not sure what else to do or say at the moment. Then, slowly she got off of the bed and made her way over towards Marcus, kneeling beside him on the floor. She places two fingers on the side of his neck to check for a pulse. Feeling a little panicked as she didn't really know how to check for something like that.

Although, after a moment, she did feel a light beating under her fingers. Her eyes then shifted up towards James. Her lips turned into a frown as she had a feeling that she had just made things worse for herself and her old packmate by checking on him instead of pleading with James.

"Please don't hurt him." She said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper as she looked between her friend and forced mate. Slowly, she started to shake a little as she tried to figure out how to handle this situation. Her friend was about to get tortured or something, and it was all her fault.

James was quiet for a moment as he watched Rae kneeling down on the floor in front of him. He had originally planned on killing the man in front of Rae, but now a new idea was forming quickly in his mind. Perhaps Rae did not care much for her own safety, but would for the safety of others? It was clear that she cared about this man, which made sense as he was part of her old pack. "And why would I do that?" He growled at her.

Leaning down, James grabbed the unconscious man and pulled him up by his arm, pulling him into himself and away from Rae. He did not have to worry about this Marcus fellow waking up anytime soon. "I told you there would be consequences to trying to escape. But you did so anyways and now punishment must be dealt with. So why should I listen to your pathetic begging now?" His eyes narrowed at her.

Perhaps there was a way to turn this to his advantage. Though, James wanted it to come from Rae's lips. He wanted to hear her say she would do something for James to spare this random man. Otherwise, it wouldn't really work. James was prepared to just kill the man to make a point. Besides, there were more of her old pack mates if he saw a use to them. "His life is meaningless to me. Why should I not kill him now? I want you to understand what the consequences of your actions will be here."

James pulled out a knife from his pocket, holding it to the man's neck to apply pressure to the woman. Lets see how much this man's life was really worth to her.

At the sounds of James growl and his tone of voice, Rae couldn't help but flinch. Her bottom lip slowly slipping between her teeth as she thought his words over. "Ah-" She squeaked out and reached towards Marcus as James grabbed him, but stopped. Her bright green eyes looking up into James worriedly as she slowly lowered her shaking hands.

"I-I don't-" Rae mumbled, stuttering as she tried to figure out what he wanted her to say. Her gaze going toward Marcus' unconscious face before looking towards James once more. Worry obvious on her face as she kept glancing between the two males who were in the room with her. Her hands slowly fell to the ground and rested on the cool wood floor. "I don't know what you want me to say." Rae's words were soft and weak. Her bottom jaw shaking slightly as she looked frantically between the males.

A loud gasp escaped from Rae as she saw the knife. Her eyes widening as she followed it towards Marcus' neck. Her hands moving to cover her mouth as she shook her head in disbelief. "S-stop. Please don't do this." She blurted out, removing her hands from her mouth and leaning forward slightly. "Just, just let him go. He didn't do anything wrong." She pleaded. Her eyes becoming a little watery as she felt how frantic she was becoming at the situation.

"Please, just, just let him go." She begged once more. "I-I'll do anything!" She blurted out before realizing her words. "I'll be good, I won't run away, I won't question anyone, I'll do whatever you want me to do for you. Just please, don't hurt Marcus. He's my best friend. Just please, please let him go. I'm begging you." Rae let out a small sob at the end as she felt herself starting to crumble, she didn't care at all what could happen to her. She just wanted her friend to be alright. It was a quirk that Rae had, others always came first. No matter what."I'll do anything, anything at all." Tears slowly slipped down Rae's cheeks as she waited for James to let her friend go, hoping that her begging would save her friend.

The alpha was quiet as he watched the sobbing mess that was on the floor in front of him. He took that moment to think through his choices. James could kill this man on the spot. It would send a message, but what was the point not? She was now promising to do whatever he wanted. It seemed that keeping this Marcus alive would benefit him more than killing him. Besides, Marcus still preferred having a good relationship with Rae. This would give him the opportunity to show her that they could both be happy.

James put his knife away, putting it back in his back pocket. "As long as you continue to be good, nothing will happen to your dear friend here. But you're going to have to prove it to me. I'll keep him here for a while to see if your words are true or not. If they are, then I'll let him go unharmed. Though if you are lying then..." He looked at her, knowing that he did not have to say the rest for Rae to understand. "I am giving you another opportunity to be good and see how happy I can make you here. Ruin this one and there will be no more chances."

With that, James took Marcus out of the room, setting him down in the hallway. He came back in and looked down at Rae before helping her up onto her feet. "We will have dinner together tonight. Breakfast will be brought up for you soon but you will have the rest of the day to yourself. I have some things I need to take care of first." James gently brought Rae over to the couch in the room, settling her down on it. "If you desire something that is not in this room, you may ask someone. And, I already told you that you may ask questions to the adults. Just keep the young ones out of it."

Once she was settled down on the couch, James turned away and headed out of the room. He closed and locked the door behind him before making his way down to the basement with Marcus. He had another locked room down there. It certainly wasn't as nice but it would do for now. When that was settled, James went about his day.

It was not long after James left that an older woman walked into Rae's room with breakfast in her hands. Once again, it was a large spread and much more than what most could eat by themselves. This woman looked to be in her late 30s. She had light red hair, blue eyes and a splattering of freckles all over her face. A gentle smile came over her lips as she looked at Rae. "Good morning." She said softly before setting the tray down. "Is there anything I can get for you?"

It felt like she was on autopilot. Her head hung low as she listened to every word that left James' lips. Her head nodding ever so slightly as she glanced up to make sure he knew that she understood what he meant. She said she'd listen to him, she didn't want to hurt Marcus, so she'd listen. She was a protector. At least, that's what she liked to think, so she'll give herself up. It was better this way, right?

She didn't even realize that James was helping her up. Rae had barely even realized he was telling her that they were to eat together tonight. She was just so, out of it. "Yes, sir," Raelynn said quietly, agreeing to what he said of the plans for the day. The last things she wanted was to be locked in the room alone all day again and to have to dine with him as well.

As James left the room, Rae moved so that she was laying down on the couch. Her head facing the back of the couch as she turned to her side. Her legs curled up to her chest and her arms pulled together as well. She made sure to make herself as small as she could as she laid on the couch. She let the remaining tears slip from her eyes, Her stomach twisting as the crying made her start to feel sick to her stomach.

Once again, as the door to Rae's room opened, she couldn't help but jump. As her eyes landed on the fiery red-haired woman, Rae couldn't help but to sniffle at the sight and quickly wipe away the tears. "Morning, and thank you," Rae mumbled, trying to stay true to her promise to James and be good. She quickly sat up and cleared her groggy voice as she looked towards the spread and reached out for the glass of orange juice.

The cool citrus felt nice as it ran down Rae's dry throat. She drank about half of it before she glanced up towards the woman once more. A light blush on her face as she forgot that the woman was there still and witnesses her guzzling down the juice like she hadn't drunk anything in days. Which wasn't true, she just loved orange juice, especially when she was stressed.

"Um," Rae mumbled quietly as she looked down at the half-empty glass for a few moments before looking back at the woman. "Is there a possibility to get some books?" She asked, her voice quiet, not sure if her question would be appropriate. She would have asked for clothes as well but, frankly, Rae hadn't even looked in the drawers yet so she was a little embarrassed to ask about that as well.
