Olivia often told people that she had two children. Josie, her twelve and a half year old, and Jack-- her boyfriend's bandmate and one of her dearest friends.

"Mom," Olivia was woken up one morning by Josie nudging her shoulder, a tone of annoyance in her voice. The thirty year old rolled over and faced her daughter, peering up at Josie with one eye open. "Josie, you're going to school. So nice try." She spoke, already knowing where this was going. Josie rolled her eyes and shook her head. "No, mom, that's not it. First of all, it's Saturday. Aunt Lisa and I are going shopping, remember? Second, Uncle Jack's here. Andie kicked him out, apparently, and he lost his key. Apparently, he figured knocking on my bedroom window and scaring the crap out of me would be better than calling you. I let him in, and he's making himself something to eat. Now, I'm gonna go back to bed and get the rest of my sleep." With a sass that was all her mother's, Josie turned around on her heel and headed back down the hall to her bedroom, closing the door behind her.

Olivia groaned into the pillow. She knew something like this was going to happen. The tiny blonde rolled back over to face her boyfriend, rubbing his back and kissing his forehead. "You stay in bed. Get some sleep. I'm gonna go see what the hell is going on with our oldest child." She joked. Olivia reached onto the floor and grabbed Zack's t-shirt from the previous day and threw that on, as well as a pair of sweatpants before padding downstairs and into the kitchen. Sure as Josie had said, Jack was sitting at Olivia's kitchen table eating a sandwich. "Jack, you know we keep a spare key taped to the bottom of the welcome mat. Was scaring the hell out of Josie necessary?" Olivia spoke, throwing her hair up with the ponytail that was around her wrist.

"I scared her?? She opened that window ready to swing on me! If anything, I was scared. Jojo can take me in a fight." Jack spoke, using the nickname that only he was allowed to.

Zack woke to the sound of a soft feminine voice. He didnt need to open his eyes to know it was his daughter, talking to her mother - and his girlfriend - Olivia.

He and Olivia had been together since High School. And when Olivia was 17 she had gotten pregnant with his child. Zack knew the moment their daughter came into the world that he had wanted to marry Olivia but the time never seemed right. They were too young, too broke, too busy... it never lined up right. Thankfully, Olivia had never seemed to mind and the two had fallen into a pattern. They had a life together and they were happy. And at 30 years old, two of this other friends had also become fathers themselves and were in committed relationships of their own.

One of the four, however, seemed to be in one fight or another with his girlfriend. Jack Barakat, who Olivia considered to be her own second child. And that was the very reason his 13 year old daughter was waking her mother up at God only knows what time - Jack and Andie were fighting again.

Zack chuckled to himself as Josie left the room, commenting on it to Olivia "She gets that from you, ya know" he smiled, opening his eyes to see Olivia turning back towards him. "Let me know if you need me." He stated, rolling back over to try to get more sleep. It wouldnt happen but he could try.

Olivia sighed as she listened to Jack's relationship problems, sipping the coffee that she had prepared for herself. "Look, I'm going to tell you what I tell you every time you show up at my house. You're a grown adult, so I can't make your choices for you. But if you do decide to leave Andie and need somewhere to stay until you get a place, our door is always open. You know where the guest room is." She set her coffee cup down on the table before yawning and moving to rub her eyes.

"Thanks, mom. What would we do without you?" Jack teased as he finished up his sandwich. He got up from the kitchen table and put the plate in the dishwasher. "I'm actually gonna go crash in the guest room... Can you make sure I'm up by like noon?"

Olivia nodded her head, rolling her eyes. "Sleep tight, weirdo." She then headed to the living room, grabbing her blanket off the back of the couch. It was very rare that she had the tv all to herself, so she was going to take advantage of the opportunity.
