Princess Victoria picked up the sides of her dress, running through the forest in a mad dash. Her heart was racing as she heard the yelling from behind her. Oh no, oh no, oh no oh no oh no no no NO! She didn't know who it was, but someone managed to get stop her carriage and was attempting to get her. Victoria didn't know what for, but she didn't want to find out if this was a kidnapping or a murder attempt.

The young woman looked behind her for a moment, seeing that they weren't too far away and her mind started absolutely racing. What was she going to do? What could she do but run at this -

BEEP! Victoria looked ahead of her and suddenly, the forest was gone. Her eyes widen as she looked around in completely confusion. She stopped where she was, turning in a circle as she tried to figure out what was happening. Strange looking buildings that seemed impossibly high, people suddenly all around her. And, if she looked to the right, a strange contraption with a... person in it, was making noise at her.

She suddenly felt very disoriented and all she had it in her was to stare at the strange thing making the noise, but before she knew it, someone grabbed her arm and pulled her back. "Get out of the way lady!" A man said as pulled her onto a pathway. The contraption suddenly moved away at a quick speed and the man who had grabbed her was suddenly gone. Where was she?

Victoria took a step back from the path that all the strange mechanisms were moving on as she looked around. So many people were just walking by, some giving her odd looks as they moved along. Victoria's placed a hand on her stomach before slowly turned to a man who was walking by. "Sir, excuse me, sir, Where am I?"

A blood vessel was about to pop in Alexander's forehead as he listened to his paralegal, Amanda as she sobbed into the phone. She had just realized that she had misplaced her written notes for the interview she had with a client. The man was pleading innocent, but the evidence was against him. In the notes though, they had proof that his alibi was real. So, this was bad. Their whole case could be thrown if Amanda didn't find the papers.

"Well, I don't care if you have to stay at the office all night or drive all around town. Find them! This is an innocent man's life we're talking about Amanda! He's up against the death penalty!" Alex snapped as he removed the phone from his ear and pressed the end call button. An irritated growl escaped from him as he shoved the newest iPhone into his black suit pocket.

Then, dark eyes darted up as the sound of a car honking up ahead cause Alex's attention. His right eyebrow arched as he took in the scene in front of him. Some girl in what looked like a wedding dress was standing in the street. "It seems like the sayings true, weirdo's come out at night." He mused as he continued to make his way down the sidewalk. Doing his best to not look at the young girl who was wearing a dress out of an old movie.

Although it seemed that his efforts went out the door though when the woman wearing the dress addressed him. His eyes shifted towards the young woman as he listened to her. Alexander had half the mind to ignore her, but something in him told him to halt and speak to her. "Uh, you're in New York." He told her, his tone indicating that it should be obvious. "Main street to be exact." His dark eyes glanced the woman up and down for a moment, she looked out of breath. Like she had been running or something. "Are you alright, miss?" He asked eyeing her as he noticed she was holding her stomach.

"Can I call you a cab or something? An ambulance maybe?"

Victoria's eyebrows furrowed together at the man's words. She barely understood what he was saying. Where was New York and main street? These were surely not places in her kingdom but she had also never seen anything like this in her world before. The woman took a moment to look up before her eyes dropping down to the man. This place was quite out of the princess' element and the man was also. He was dressed weirdly, his accent odd, the way he looked at her was not comforting and he didn't even bow to her first! Perhaps he did not know who she was, but the crown should be enough!

Her gripped on her stomach tightened and her free hand was brought up to her forehead. Was she sick? Poisoned? Under a curse? Maybe she had tripped over something in the forest and was currently having some kind of fever dream. "A cab? An Am-Boo-lance?" Victoria said before shaking her head a bit, no these were not the things she should be concerning about herself now. Besides, she needed help and didn't want to ask questions that would distance herself more from this stranger. Something was going on but what?

Victoria took another look at him, figuring with clothes like that the man was probably pretty important. His clothes seemed to be impeccable. Surely, he was someone with influence and money. Someone that would be able to help her. "Please, sir, I need your assistance. I was being chased by these men." She hesitated for a moment before continuing. "They were trying to hurt me, and I need somewhere safe to go. I have no idea where they are but I am worried that they might find me."

The harsh attitude that Alex was displaying for the young woman that was in front of him slowly cracked. His lips slowly moved into a loose fown and his shoulders relaxed. This woman was obviously stressed. He didn't know what could have caused it, nor did he really want to find out. Although, he had a feeling that he needed to help her. Especially when she started to tell him that she was being chased by strange men. Although, the first thought when this woman mentioned being chased, was that the looney bin docs were after her, but the look on her face said otherwise.

The silence was Alex's reply to her request for help. He was just a lawyer, he did criminal cases, sure, but this was an in progress thing. He could get himself in trouble by being associated with this woman.
Then, his right eye twitched slightly. He was already associated with her when she decided to speak to him. What an idiot he was for thinking that he could just leave this woman on her own when she obviously was in distress over something.

"Alright, alright," Alex mumbled quietly as he ran a hand through his hair. "I'll help you." His dark eyes looked down at the shorter woman before motioning with his head for her to follow him. "Come on, I'll take you to the police to see if they can help you." He started to walk towards the carport where he left his Mustang.

"What's your name anyways?" Alex asked as they walked down the slightly crowded street. The streetlights being the main source of light for them besides the few lights from buildings that were still on and the passing cars. "An why are you dressed like you're going to a costume party?" He glanced towards her through the corner of his eyes. "Halloweens not for another few months, you know."

Victoria let out a small gasp and her nose wrinkled up as he mentioned a costume party. "I assure you this is not for a costume party, sir. It is you that is dressed strangely." She said before glancing around for a moment, seeing everyone else pass by them. "Everyone here is dressed so strangely." Victoria murmured after another moment. As for the Halloween comment, Victoria ignored it. She had no idea what that was but with everything else going on, she did not care.

The woman stayed close to him, thankful for his help though she didn't completely understand where he was taking her. Though, she presumed that whoever they were would be able to help her. Surely, others have found this place as disorienting as her. It was nothing like she had seen before. Everything was so foreign. And hopefully, they would be able to help her get back home... Victoria took another moment to look back behind her shoulder. It did not appear that anyone was following her.

"My name is Princess Victoria Ava Renalda. I am the Princess Heir to the throne of Andia." Victoria said, her attention now moving back to the man in front of her. She was sure that he had heard of her country. They were one of the largest and most influential in the world. The trade they did reached even the farthest lands. "Though the proper way is to introduce yourself before asking a lady her name." She said, now expecting him to introduce himself to her.

It came out suddenly, a chuckle, and then slowly grew into a full-blown laugh. Being told that his suit looked funny had to be one of the funniest things he's heard in a while. "Yeah, yeah okay. Says the girl who's walking around in a pixie dress." Alex said, amused that she was saying such things when she was the one who looked like she had just come out of a fairy tale book.

The amusement that displayed on Alex's face slowly slipped off as he listened to the girl he could now identify as Victoria. "Well, that's a mouthful." He mused as he turned his head down to her. The cogs in Alex's mind slowly turning as he thought over what she said, Andia, Andia, where had he heard of that place before?
Then, as soon as the thought came to his mind. It disappeared. He had no idea what she was talking about. It sounded like a made up place to him though, which just added to his idea that this woman, Victoria was just a little off her rocker. Hopefully, the police could help them when they get to the station because he wasn't sure how much longer he could play hero with her.

"I'm Prince Alexander, but you can just call me Alex." He said playing along with her as they entered the carport and went to his car that was nicely located on the lowest floor. "Get in, I'll take you to the station so you can file your report," Alex said as he held the door open for Victoria and motioned for her to get into the passenger seat.

"It's pretty late, so you might have to stay in a cell or something if you're being chased through," Alex said, mulling over the idea of the pretty young lady having to sleep in a call. It'd suck, but at least she'd be safe from whoever was after her. "Or they'd have a room or send you on your own, I don't." He was rambling now, but, that was probably because of his lack of sleep now. Being up since five doing work seemed to be catching up to the young man.

Once Victoria was in the car, Alex got into the driver's seat and glanced over to Victoria. "Safety first." He told her as he leaned over her to grab the seatbelt and buckled her in. "I don't need a ticket." He murmured quietly as he started to back out of his spot before heading towards the police station.

A little gasp left her lips as the man started to laugh at her. "Are you making fun of me?" She said, her eyebrows furrowing together. A bit of anger started to rise up in her chest. Victoria wanted to tell him off but it didn't change the fact that he was helping her, and he was the only help she had right now. Though, instead, Victoria decided to keep her voice calm while explaining why he was incorrect to do so. "First of all, Sir, my dress is nothing like what the pixies where and it impolite for you to suggest such a thing. And secondly, you are surely no Prince. Impersonating one can land you in a boiled pot so I suggest you don't joke about such matters."

Once they reached the strange metal beast that had been moving around her early, Victoria hesitated. She didn't know anything about this thing and usually, the young woman would refuse to get into something she didn't understand. Though, the man motioned for her to get in and Victoria ended up sliding into the seat despite her concerns. She took in a deep breath as he closed the door and got in himself. Her nose wrinkled as the man reached over her but Victoria completely tensed up as he wrapped something around her chest and strapped her down.

Victoria grabbed onto the strap and started to pull on it. Maybe she was wrong to trust him. "No, take this off of me. I don't like this." She kept pulling until it came to a stop. There was so much looser now, easy for her to get out if she wanted to. It probably wasn't something to tie her down with and with that realization, the princess let go and it retightened around her. Though, as she leaned forward, Victoria noticed that she was now completely locked into place.

Before she could start up even more, the car started to move and Victoria grabbed onto whatever she could find (which was the car door and the middle compartment). The princess watched as they were now on the path with many other metal beasts, all going the same direction. Though the man started to move from one side of the path to another, turning and such. Her heart started to beat like crazy. "Stop this-this thing immediately!"

A small groan was all Alex managed to contribute to everything. His mind wheeling as he ran over everything that Victoria had just told him. Not to mention how freaked out she was by him helping her buckle up. It was like she had never been in a car before. Maybe, just maybe, she was a victim or a kidnapping from a young age? She didn't know much of the outside world? Or, perhaps she was just crazy. Alex was leaning more towards the crazy part when he noticed how scared she was as he drove.

"You know, if you hold the door like that, you could possibly open the door on accident," Alex said, his voice nonchalant as he glanced at her for a moment at a red light. "If you're scared of my driving, hold onto this." He pointed to the handle that was above her window. "It's more secure." He explained, then pressed the gas pedal as the light turned green.

Silence filled the car for a moment more before Alex slowly reached forward and turned on his radio. The song Check Yes Juliet by We The Kings was playing. Check yes Juliet, I'll be waiting, Wishing, wanting, Yours for the taking. A small smile slowly grew on Alex's lips as the lyrics came through the speaker. "Man, I haven't heard this song in ages." Alex mused, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel lightly as he slowly nodded to the song.

"What sort of music do you like?" Alex asked once the song ended and some more updated song came on that he didn't know. "Any that you don't like?" Small talk, this was not Alex's strong suit and he was really struggling with it. It felt so foreign to him. It's been ages since he's talked to someone, let along a woman about anything other than work. He barely talked to his own parents about things other than his job. Thinking about it, they were probably pretty bored with his complaining about his incompetent paralegal.

As the got to the police station, Alex pulled in and found a parking spot. "Alright, press this button to release the seat belt." He explained. Not daring to help her with the belt again as it seemed to have freaked her out when he helped her put it on. "Careful though, because it can whip about if you don't guide it back to it's resting spot." He told her, demonstrating what he was talking about. Then, Alex got out of the car and went to open the girl's door.

Quickly, the woman shook her head to the man as she grabbed onto the handle that he pointed out. She didn't love the placement of it, but it was definitely better than nothing - or accidentally opening the door open and falling out. As he was singing to whatever the strange music was, Victoria had her eyes closed, repeating her protection charms through her head until she felt better. She could hear him talking but was too focused to hear what he was saying.

Once the beast came to a stop, Victoria opened her eyes and let out a deep breath. She followed his instructions, pressing down on the belt, letting out a small yip as the belt zipped past her. As her door opened, Victoria was quick to scramble out, still surprisingly graceful even in her moment of panic. "I do not like that thing one bit." She told him once he closed the door. She took another breath, calming herself all the way down before taking a moment to adjust her dress and crown.

Victoria turned back to the man, following him as he started to walk. She could see the building that she presumed that they were going into. It did not look so...welcoming. Though if it was where the guards were, Victoria would understand why that was the case. There might even been a prison attached to it, but she wondered where there watchtowers were. How did they look for intruders or those trying to break out?

"So these men... these 'police', will be able to help me?" Victoria asked him, her eyes wide as she looked up at him. She wondered if she should be trusting him so much but Victoria did not feel like she had much of a choice in the matter. It was not like she knew anyone else. "Will they be able to bring me back home? Or get me to your Monarch?"

"If you don't like my car, then you really wouldn't like the bus," Alex said quietly as he looked down at Victoria with amusement as he looked towards the police station. It's exterior really looked intimidating at night, not that it didn't in the daytime either. The building just sent chills down Alex's spine in general. Even though he had to make trips to it to see his clients on occasion.

"To be honest with you, I have no idea," Alex said calmly as they walked to the building. His hands calmly at his side as they walked. "The only thing I know for certain is that they're going to be having you go through a police report. From there, I don't know how much they'll really be able to help." He stopped speaking and looked down at the young lady that was next to him. She looked terrified, but, there really wasn't anything he could do about that. She was a stranger to him, and yet. She piqued his interest. With her weird talk and interesting fashion taste.

Slowly, Alex stopped walking and just looked at Victoria. His eyes focused on nothing but her as his lips stayed in a neutral position. "You need to tell me something Victoria," Alex said as he kept his voice level. Going into his lawyer mode. "Do you know who is after you? Or even why?" He paused, waiting to see if he could catch any sort of reaction from her. He needed to know if she was on the good side of things or the wrong side, because if she was on the wrong side then he wouldn't be able to help her.

"Did you escape from somewhere?" These were things he was sure the police were going to ask her, but, Alex wanted to know these things. He wanted to be the one to help put these guys away. These people messed up this poor woman and it wasn't right. Not in the least bit.

"I do not know what a Bus is." Victoria said softly. She didn't want to keep ignoring everything that came out of his mouth that she didn't understand... especially since it was becoming a lot more than she had originally expected. This place was foreign and there were many things here she had never seen or heard of before. It even smelled different from home and Victoria didn't care much for it. She wanted to get back to the castle and with her guards, somewhere with people who she knew could keep her safe. Victoria did not feel that way about this place.

Once Alex stopped walking, Victoria did the same and looked up at the man. There was something about him that seemed to completely shift in this moment. She had not been completely prepared for it, though his questions struck her a bit. There was something about the way he spoke that tug on Victoria. She wanted to be honest with him and she really hoped that she was trusting the right person. It was hard to tell but he was all she had at the moment.

"I had never seen them before," Victoria told him honestly, her eyes softening up as fear started to swirl in them again. "And I don't know why. It could be for a lot of things; ransom, forced marriage, kidnapping, maybe they wanted to kill me... It's hard to say if they were even from my kingdom or not but I don't think they were the common people. Their clothes and weapons were too nice." Her nose wrinkled a bit before her head dropped to the side. "I was just riding home at the time. They managed to stop us...My guards gave me time to run, but I...I think they were killed and soon I was being chased through the woods. One moment I was rushing through the trees and when I looked up again I was here and the forest was just gone."

Victoria was quiet for a moment before continuing. "I don't want to talk to these people if they can't help me." She told him. "I want to talk to someone who can get me home... If I can just get home..."

As Alex listened to Victoria speaks, he couldn't help it as his lips slowly slipped into a frown. It seemed that everything that was coming out of her mouth was made up. She sounded crazy, talking about being chased, running in the woods, and not to mention she kept bringing up this kingdom that didn't exist.

Slowly, Alex raised his right hand and rubbed his eyes tiredly. His hands were tied, he really had no idea what he could possibly do right now. It was late, and the cops were probably just going to think that this was all just some made up a story from a girl, but. At least they could get this stuff down and to their attention. Right? Maybe they could find these supposed people?
The look in Victoria's eyes tugged on Alex's heartstrings. She really seemed like a victim in all of this.

"I really have no idea what they'll be able to do for you." He told her, his voice soft as he spoke the truth. "All of this stuff that you just told me. It sounds made up." He was being honest with her, but, for some reason, it stung. "There aren't any woods around here, besides central park and I'm fairly certain someone would have heard fighting there." Alex licked his lips nervously. "Do you, do you know if you've hit your head or anything?" He asked her. "Did you see anything out of the ordinary that could explain the random change in scenery?"

Ugh, now he was starting to believe that something bigger was going to happen. He was falling under Victoria's spell. He had no idea what her end game was. Or if she even had an end game for all of this. It was just so freaking weird, to be honest. "Alright, you know what. Let's go to my place." Alex said, then let out a tired sigh. This was too much, he really didn't know what to do. The police were bound to just kick her out. Which is why, he'll do some searching online tonight, and then in the morning bring her back here if he can't figure anything out.

A deep frown came over Victoria's face as Alex said that it sounded all made up. She was not expecting him to have said that to her, but more concern started to sink into her body. Why didn't he believe her? What about her story made it sound like it wasn't real? That she was lying to him? And she didn't like how he asked if she hit her head. Victoria knew herself, knew her life, she knew what happened. Anything that Alex said to try to convince her otherwise was not going to work. But she needed to get to the bottom of everything, of where she was because this was nothing like home.

Once Alex mentioned heading back to his place, her body grew a bit tense and she watched him take a few steps towards his 'car'. She stayed where she was for a moment. Victoria did not approve of sleeping at strange men's homes, but once again he was the only one who was helping her. Furthermore, she hated that he didn't seem to fully believe what she was saying...but once again...

She let out a sigh before following the man. "I am telling you the truth. I can't speak to anything about this odd place but I know what happened to me! And when I looked up after running through the woods, I was here. And there was no woods around me anymore. I was just in front of that, suddenly " Victoria pointed at the car. "and the woods were gone. And I didn't hit my head on anything!"

At the car, Alexandria took a deep breath before sliding back in and grabbing onto the handles again. She closed her eyes tightly, her body tensing up again.

Shaking his head, Alex gave up. He really didn't know what else to say to Victoria right now. Nothing he could say could help her see the holes in everything she's told him. There were no woods where she could have been traveling through where no one would see her running form people. There was no place called Andia, Alex was sure of it.

Silence filled the car as Alex drove the two of them back to his place. His grip on the steering wheel was tight as he drove. A thousand things were running through his mind and he could feel his blood pressure slowly raising as well. Then, a small idea filled his head as he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and looked through his contacts. Once he spotted the one he was looking for he pressed call. "Hi, I'd like to place an order for delivery," Alex said, glancing towards Victoria for a moment before he started to order a few things.

"I hope you don't mind Chinese," Alex said as they pulled into his apartments parking lot. His dark eyes looking around slowly as he looked for an open spot and then pulled into one that was in front of his complex's door. "Looks like we got lucky with parking, now come on." Alex murmured as he parked and got out of the car. He went around and opened the door for Victoria like he's done the past few times.

"Dinner should be here soon, but before that, I want to show you a few things." He said as he motioned for Victoria to follow him towards the building. Alex pulled out his key card and pressed it to the building's security door then opened it as the light on the side turned green. "My apartments on the second floor, to the right." He said as he stepped to the side, holding the door open for Victoria as he stepped to the side.
Then, he walked up after her and pulled his key out of his pocket. "You can stay in the room to the right." He said as he opened the door and motioned for her to walk in. "Feel free to look around," Alex said as he walked in after her and closed the door before he headed towards his room. Emerging a few moments later with a globe that he kept in his room. "Now, I want you to look at this." He said as he placed it on his kitchen table. "What do you see?"

As they walked into the door, Victoria was on high alert. Though it became clear that nothing was going to happen rather quickly. The place did look like somewhere someone would stay, but there were a lot of very odd things about it. It was small, and there were things there she had never seen before. She also found it odd that they had gone in such a large building but he apartment only had a small portion of it? She also hated that their rooms were so close together...it didn't feel safe. But she knew better to open her mouth and complain about his home. That would be rude.

So she continued inside and took a moment to peer down the area that he pointed out to her. To be fair to Alex's home, there were things about it that she liked. The design of it was actually rather nice and everything was definitely rather interesting and impressive. She just wished that there was more of it. Her head lifted up as he walked back into the room.

"I know what a globe is, sir." Victoria said as she walked up to the item. Of course she knew what a globe was! Though hers was much better than is - and larger. Goodness, she even had a whole map room in her castle. It was important that every inch of her land was mapped out. Not to mention, they had maps for her trips to other countries as well. A royal needed to know where they were going and how they were getting there (and any possible escape routes if needed).

Her eyes glanced over it before she reached out and spun it slowly under her fingertips. A little hum came from her before she shook her head. "Did a child make this?" Victoria asked, her voice unimpressed with the item. "This is completely incorrect...What even is -" Victoria leaned in a bit, looking at one of the country names before trying to pronounce it. "Aaa-merci-aaa?"

A small snort escaped from Alex, he couldn't help it. He didn't ask if she knew what a globe was but went along with it. Glad that he didn't have to explain the simple thing to the girl who seemed utterly confused about everything already. This was just one thing that he didn't need to worry about teaching her, or explaining it like he was talking to a five-year-old.

Yet another snort escaped from Alex as he slowly shook his head. "It's just old, the newer models didn't catch my interest as much." He explained as he took off the suit jacket and folded it nicely before he placed it over the back of a chair. "It gets the job done, and that's all I need it for." Alex stopped talking then and looked at Victoria with an arched eyebrow as she said it was incorrect. Which it was not, it was one of the most accurate globes on the market. Alex did his research before buying it on eBay for ten bucks.

"America." Alex corrected calmly as he crossed his arms over his chest loosely. "It's the country you're in." He explained before he slowly walked towards her and leaned over a little on the table. "An we are here." He pointed to the state that said, New York. "That is the state that we are in." He glanced towards Victoria to see if she was following him. "There is no place on this globe or any map called Andia."

Slowly, Alex's tongue slid out of his lips and wetted his lips. "I think you're getting places confused." He told her, his tone quiet. "Do you think that these men could have hurt you at all before you got away? Do you remember any pain anywhere? Suppressing any sort of memory?"

"No, Andia wouldn't be on your dumb fake globe." Victoria said as her eyes narrowed at him. "And there is no country called America, I can assure you of that. I have been to almost every country in the world and we have trade deals with everyone - either directly or indirectly." The princess turned and grabbed one of his books from a shelf, opening it to an empty page. "I'm not the one who is confused, sir. Maybe you hit your head on something." She grumbled a little. She was sick of playing this game with him.

Victoria lifted the top layer of her dress to a middle layer of tulle and grabbed the large cloth bag, untying it before setting it down on the counter. She opened it up and pulled out a few things out of her bag, coins, a compass that was spinning wildly, an iridescent quill and her family creast wax seal. She took a moment to look in her bag before nodding and closing it up.

The Princess picked up the quill, and without dipping it into ink, started to draw quickly a rather detailed map onto the page. Her hand moved so quickly and gracefully that it seemed that she knew exactly what she was drawing, not needing a moment of hesitation to think it over. It took her some time, but soon enough, Victoria leaned back and turned the world to him. "This is Donjon."

After a moment, Victoria wrinkled her nose a bit before taking her bag again and starting to go through it. Why was she even trying with him? What was the point? Perhaps she had really run into someone who had lost some of their marbles... Today was really not going well for her. "Please tell me that this place at least has a protection charm on it."

An annoyed groan escaped from Alex as he raised a hand and gently ran it over his face as he listened to Victoria. His head shaking back and forth as he tried to allow for his anger to not get the best of him. She was a very stubborn woman, which just made a stark reminder for him as to who he didn't want to date. He could not stand someone who held such a different opinion then he does.

"Yes because I was the one standing in a wedding dress in the middle of the street--" Alex stopped himself and quickly turned his back to Victoria as she started to lift the front of her dress. Sure, he loved seeing a woman's body, but, it just felt wrong looking at them in front of him like that. His cheeks turned a light pink color and he couldn't help but let out a few nervous coughs. It's surely been a while since he's had a woman in his apartment.

Then, he slowly turned around after a moment. Just about having a heart attack when she had laid out some weird things and was starting to draw in one of his law books. "You couldn't have just asked for some paper?" He asked, sounding rather annoyed that she was using his book as paper. Then, Alex couldn't help but to close his eyes and let out a tired sigh. This is what he got for taking in a strange girl off of the streets and not handing her over to the police when he had the chance. Curse him and his sense of wanting to help people.

Looking back towards the book that Victoria was ruining with her little scribbles, Alex watched and couldn't help but to give her props for being a good artist. Although he'd never actually say that to her face.
"Donjon... sounds like a brand of underwear," Alex mumbled once Victoria was done with her little sketches. He slowly reached over and pulled the book to himself and tilted his head to the side. She did some good detail of it, that's for sure. "Good drawing, what book is this place from?" Alex asked as he glanced back up towards Victoria once he had looked at the whole map. "Protection charm? Do you mean a security system? Yeah, that's what that keypad downstairs was for." He gave her a weird look. "Don't tell me you think magic is real too."

(just to be clear, Alex wouldn't have seen any of her skin when she lifted the top layer of her dress up to the tulle in the middle!)

"It's not a wedding dress!" Victoria told him as she pulled out an Emerald Gem from her purse. "I appreciate all of your help, I really do Sir. You have been very kind to me but you're clearly a bit off your rocker!" The woman took a moment, taking a deep breath before letting out a small sigh. "I am sorry, that was extremely impolite of me...All of this has been rather stressful today."

She saw no point in arguing about the globe. It was clear that he had no idea what he was talking about. Donjon was not a brand of water but the planet that they lived on. And she had no idea what was going on with his little fake globe and odd country names but it certainly was not correct. "It is home." Victoria said softly. "It doesn't come from any book...You said we're in America?" Victoria asked as she looked back at him. Maybe he was under some kind of curse?

Turning her back towards him, Victoria placed the gem in between her lips and lifted her hands up over the door. She started to quietly hum a song into the gem as her hands made very precise movements. A few little sparks of magic came off of her finger, her eyes turning a warm green as she set up the protection charm. Slowly, she turned and faced the rest of the home, doing the same thing before her eyes went back to normal and she dropped her hands down.

Taking the gem from her lips, Victoria wiped it off with a handkerchief from her bag before setting it down on the counter. "Your home is now hidden from any unwelcome guests. At least we should not have to worry about the men after me tonight."
