Standing in the doorway and just blinking confused was just about the only thing that Alex could do at the moment. He could not believe that Crystal was standing in front of him. In front of his apartment none the less. The varied one that she told him looked like shit when she left. Why the hell was she even here? She told him that she never wanted to see him again once he kicked her out.

Then, Alex developed a hitch in his throat as Victoria came into view. "Oh shit." He mumbled as he looked between both girls. He did his best to try and keep things between the two of them civil, but he seemed to be failing. As his words and his actions were being completely ignored. They were like wild animals, getting ready to attack each other or something.

Looking towards Crystal as she started to take her earrings out, Alex saw something. Her eyes, did they just flash? Confusion filled Alex for the briefest of moments before he slowly started to understand everything. Crystal wasn't really here of her own accord. This had to be some sort of plot that Victoria had thought up to get back at the girl. Or something.

"Hey, hey, hey. No entering unless invited. This is against the law." Alex said and quickly moved to wrap his arms around a raging Crystal as she tried to get past him more and attach Victoria. "Fuck the law, let me get that stupid bitch!" Crystal told as Alex held her back. The enraged woman was getting quite hard to hold, almost like she was developing superhuman strength or something. "Fucking A Crystal! Stop!" Alex yelled as he pulled hard on the woman and pulled her away from Victoria. "Will you both calm down! Handle this shit like adults damnit!"

glancing towards Victoria, Alex couldn't help but send a glare her way. "Knock it off Victoria. That is not how we handle things here!" Alex told the Princess, his glare then being sent towards Crystal. "An you, I don't want you near my fucking apartment ever again! We're through! We were through the night you left, we were through the first time you decided to screw my best friend! WE. ARE. THROUGH!"

Her nose wrinkled as she watched the situation escalate in front of her. Honestly, it would have been better if Alex just let the girl come at her. Crystal would have never made it to her before passing out and Alex wouldn't have to be restraining her right now. Though, she was a little pleased that Alex was yelling at the woman, even if that had not been her intention, there was something about it that felt right.

Still, she let out a small huff knowing that the spell needed to be removed. It was clear that Alex had figured out her little ruse and was getting annoyed about it. All she wanted to do was punish the woman who deserved it for what she had done. She hoped that Alex was able to see that.

Victoria mumbled a few words under her breath, causing Crystal's eyes to glow a bright neon pink. The glow slowly faded and soon the woman was no longer fighting against Alex. Confusion moving over her face before pulling away from Alex quickly. The woman was embarrassed over what was occurring and she looked between Victoria and Alex a few times before taking another step back. "I-I I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me... I just saw you yesterday, at the restaurant and... well it brought up old feelings but I-" Without continuing on, Crystal was quick to turn around and hightail it out of there.

Once the woman ran off, Victoria let out a small 'hmph' before she turned and headed back to the table. She sat down at her seat and took another bite of the bacon that Alex told her that she needed to try. Things hadn't gone exactly the way Victoria wanted but she was still happy with the results.

Once Crystal was out of his apartment, Alex calmly closed the door. Although, as soon as he heard the familiar click of his lock, his eyes closed. Leaning forward, Alex rested his forehead against the cool wood for a few moments. He had no idea how he should be reacting right now. So many different thoughts were running through his mind. Crystal missed him, she didn't want him back though. She was pissed he found someone else, it didn't really bother her though. What the hell was he supposed to do?

Breathing in deeply through his nose, Alex stood up straight and exhaled through his mouth. Opening his eyes, Alex made his way over towards the kitchen table once again. His eyes narrowing as he watched Victoria eating as nothing had happened. Like she didn't do anything wrong. Like she didn't start this whole shit show.

As he got to the table, Alex placed both hands on the table. His head facing the young Princess as she enjoyed the bacon that he had made for them. "Do you want to explain what the fuck you just did to Crystal?" He asked, a hard edge in his tone as he looked at the woman. He was trying to not get overly upset, she wasn't from this world, she probably won't understand the severity of what she had just done.

"Casting spells on people is not how you handle a problem here Victoria." Alex continued, not letting the young woman speak as he was on a mission to get through to the younger girl. "That was irresponsible of you, thoughtless even! You aren't from here, how the hell can you predict how people will or will not react to something like that? That could have been really dangerous! You could have been hurt, she could have gotten hurt! This is no laughing matter, this is serious Victoria." Alex breathed in deeply through his nose, then slowly exhaled through his mouth once more.

"After breakfast I want you to write an apology," Alex told Victoria. Treating her like a child since he had no idea what else he should do. He couldn't outright yell at her continuously. This was not a confrontation between two people from the earth. This was something from an earth guy and a girl from another world.
"In the letter, I want you to explain why you did what you did, I want to know why you've gone to such lengths and then, I want you to read it out loud to me. I want to know you've thought it through." He told her before he went to his living room and sat down on the couch. His head going into his hands as he tried to calm himself down.

The princess was taken aback when Alex started to furiously lecture at her. This was not something that she had expected. It had crossed her mind that the man would be confused by it all, but she had thought that he would be thankful once he understand. Though, as Victoria opened her mouth several times, trying to explain, Alex just kept steam rolling her, not allowing the woman to get a word out.

By the time that he was done, Alex was heading out to the living room and Victoria was absolutely steaming. She dropped her fork on the table and marched to her bedroom. Emerging several minutes later, Victoria was fully dressed and was making a bee line for the door leading out of the apartment.

She didn't know who Alex thought he was but he had no right yelling at her. And he especially had lost his mind if he thought he could demand an apology from her. The man was barking far up his rank, and there was no way Victoria was going to apologize when she was positive she had done that man a favor.

Slamming the door shut behind her, Victoria quickly made her way down the stairs of the apartment building, heading off to the sidewalk. Victoria had been looking forward to her quiet, peaceful day of relaxation and she was going to fucking get that day even if it meant having to leave Alex stewing in his own anger. Besides, Victoria didn't want to wait around for him to come yell at her again.

With annoyance still radiating from every pore in his body, Alex leaned forward in his seat and held his hand. His eyes closed as he tried to calm his rapid breathing, He had no idea how he should be feeling right now. He was glad for the payback, but he was angry that it was conducted in such a way. Victoria had not even asked him if she could put a spell on them. It was just an invasion of privacy. If everyone just randomly put spells on each other, then Alex really didn't want to go there to see what it was like.

The slam of the door caught Alex's attention, causing him to open his eyes and look in its direction. "She going somewhere?" Alex mumbled quietly to himself as he glanced towards the spare room that he told Victoria that she could use. "Well, whatever. She can have her damn little temper tantrum." Alex mumbled quietly as he sat back in his seat and relaxed. Trying to not worry about the Princess that was roaming the streets. Being clueless as to what a lot of things were and where she could possibly end up.

As soon as Alex's mind traveled to Victoria ending up in a sex shop or being kidnapped crossed his mind. He was up and out the door in seconds. Victoria was too much of a good girl, she did not need to see those sort of stores. Oh god, he knew she could probably deal with people trying to kidnap her, she knew magic for crying out loud. The sex shop on the other hand. He really didn't need to think about her asking about the toys there. Why his mind went to sex as he was thinking about Victoria was weird in the first place. They were just friends, just friends.

So, as Alex got to his stairs, he took two at a time and ran out of the building. His dark eyes looked back and forth as he got to the sidewalk. "Victoria!" Alex called out as he looked for the Princess, a little scared that he had already lost her in the new york hassle.

Victoria went rigid as she heard Alex calling out for her once she was out on the street. Slowly, the princess turned and looked at the man that was looking out in the crowd with a frantic look in his eyes. The princess hesitated for a moment as she looked back at the crowd. Surely it would be easy for him to lose her in this, to not be able to find her... Though something tugged at Victoria's heart, telling her that she couldn't just leave when Alexa was looking for her.

As angry as she was, it didn't feel right. So, the princess turned around and made her way back to Alex, only stopping once Alex caught sight of her. Victoria eyes downcast as she let out a sigh. "Well? Did you just want to yell at me some more before I left for the day?" She asked, a little bit of anger still clear in her voice.

The princess wrapped her arms around herself, the deep frown coming along her lips. She didn't want to do this, to wait for Alex to explode on her again. Victoria wasn't even sure why she was doing this to herself. He was probably just going to steamroll her again, not let her speak and then stomp off. Or worse, grab Victoria and force her into the house while still demanding an apology.

Shifting uncomfortably on her feet, the princess continued. "I was just going to go for a walk." She mumbled before letting out a sigh. "I was going to come back in a couple of hours."

"Victoria!" Alex called out once again as he quickly looked back and forth, wanting to desperately find the girl who had left his apartment in a hurry. Then, as soon as his eyes landed on her, it was like a weight was lifted off of his chest and he couldn't help but rush to her side.

As soon as Alex was close enough to Victoria, he couldn't help but to wrap his arms around her and pull her into his chest for a tight hug. He barely heard her words as he squeezed her tightly, his face burying into her hair as he held her close to him. "You had me worried." Alex mumbled against her head once she had finished speaking to him.

Then, he slowly let her go, but kept his hands on her shoulders as he looked at her. "You might of gone for a walk, but this is New York, you don't know all of the dangers that are here." He told her and then told her to not speak because he knew she'd say something about being able to take care of herself. "I know you have magic and all, but, some of the things here are things that you wouldn't see coming. Like, pick pockets, and kidnapping, and people offering free candy that turns out to be drugs and then you'll be hooked for life." Okay, that last part was one that he hadn't originally thought up, but as soon as it slipped from his lips, more dread slowly filled him.

"Just, just let me take you to the park, then you can have some peace walking and I'll feel more comfortable being able to keep an eye on you. Please?" He asked as he looked at the Princess, hoping that she'd at least allow that.

The moment Alex wrapped his arms around her, Victoria completely melted. She closed her eyes, laying her head against his chest as she wrapped her arms around him. As he pulled away, Victoria's hand slid down and grabbed onto his shirt lightly. The frown on her lips, worry in her eyes as she started to talk quickly washed away with the words he ended up saying. It didn't seem that he was upset anymore and that was all she really wanted.

"I don't want to go to the park." Victoria said softly, holding onto his shirt a bit tighter. "Can we go back to the apartment, please? I just want to lay around today and do nothing." The princess just wanted to spend the day resting, and while Victoria was sure the park was nice, she had never wanted to leave the house in the first place. She moved herself back in, wrapping her arms around Alex into a tight hug.

Before Alex was able to do much through, Victoria pulled him back to her and looked up at the man. "Before we go... Are you still angry?" Victoria asked him softly. As much as she did want to go back, Victoria did not want to go back to the apartment if it involved more of Alex fuming. Though she also asked because her heart was tugging a bit with guilt. She had never planned to upset Alex. That wasn't her intentions.

A quiet sigh escaped from Alex as she looked down at Victoria. A small smile playing with his lips. "Yes, we can go back to the apartment." He told her as he allowed her to hug him once more. It was a strange feeling, but, it felt right as he wrapped his arms around the Princess from another realm. Like she belonged in his arms.

Glancing down, Alex watched as Victoria held onto him. His lips pursing as he thought about her question. Was he mad at her still? Yes. Was he worried about her? Yes. Though there were quite a few other things that ran through his head as well. "Yes." He told her, his tone showing that he was serious but he wasn't about to snap at her again. "But, I think I went about it the wrong way."

Slowly, Alex licked his lips as he looked at Victoria. and examined her beautiful features. "Do people put random spells on people who made them upset in your world?" He asked her. His lips moving into a slight frown as he watched her, trying to make sure that she didn't lie to him as he waited for an answer.

"Why don't we just have some tea and talk about things? I promise not to go off on you." He reassured her, offering a small smile as well.

"Not exactly." Victoria said softly. "There are a lot of people who have magic in my world but it is not everyone. Though, those who do have it know when others are under a spell. Because it is easy to tell, it's not common for others to put each other under a spell when they are upset. Normally, they get the consent of that person. Also, it's against the law to use hurtful spells against others." The woman paused for a moment before continuing. "That being said, we have laws and punishments. Some of those punishments include spells."

Looking up at Alex, Victoria wondered if he knew where this was heading. Though she decided to continue anyways. "At home, people who cheat on their soulmate get punished. It isn't a common situation but I used the spell that they would use. You had told me what they had done to you and I had known what I needed to do."

Victoria let out a small sigh as she held onto his hand a bit tighter. It was difficult knowing that Alex was still upset with her and what she had done, but Victoria knew that she did the right thing. Cheaters deserved to get punished. She didn't understand why they would turn their backs on someone they knew was their true love. It just didn't make sense.

Once they got back to the apartment, Victoria let go of Alex's hand as she went in. She turned back to him, her eyes gentle. She waited for him to respond.

The silence was the only thing that Alex offered Victoria as he listened to what she was telling him. He didn't want to interupt her and ask questions, knowing that this was a learning moment for him as well as a way for Victoria to open up and actually speak to him. To get what was going through her mind at the time out into the open. Although, he did offer a small nod of his head every now and again as he listened to her explination of everything.

A small sigh escaped from Alex as he felt Victoria let go of his hand. He kept his eyes away from the young Princess as he went towards his Kitchen and started to get some things together to make tea for them. "That's the thing though." Alex started as he filled a kettle with some water to boil for their tea.

"She wasn't my soulmate, sure I thought we were in love at the time, but that ships sailed." Alex said, using an analogy that he hoped she understood. Once the Kettle was on Alex turned to look towards Victoria. His hands resting on the counter as he looked at the young girl. "I appreciate you trying to help, but, I'm not interested in pressing charges or anything. If anything, It's made me a better person, more mature." Alex told her, his shoulders shrugging as a sign that he didn't care.

"Although, the thing that's bothering me most is that you didn't ask me. It was an old relationship of mine, you should of asked if I wanted something to be done instead of just rushing in." Alex slowly licked his lips as he silently waited for any sort of reaction from Victoria, not sure what could be going on through her mind now.

"All I'm asking for, is that you ask me before doing something like that again. Okay? Please?" Alex added the last part as an after thought, wanting to try and clear the air between them. "Now, want to get some cups for us? The tea should be done in a few moments."

Victoria dropped her head a bit before giving him a small nod. "Okay, I can do that." She whispered softly. Victoria thought it was best to leave the conversation there. He was right, Victoria should have asked Alex if that was something he wanted her to do. The woman knew it was something she would want but it was unfair to assume the same of him. And she felt as though there was nothing she could say to make it better. She had only wanted to make things right but it seemed that her reasoning didn't apply to the world here. Relationships in his realm weren't anything like home. It was hard to wrrap her head around the concept, she had to accept that it wasn't what she was used to.

With his request, Victoria headed to one of the cupboards and pulled out two cups for the two of them. She set them down in front of Alex before settling into one of the stools. Her attention shifted from Alex to the window of his apartment. The princess took a moment to watch the world go by before she let out a small sigh. She missed home. Victoria missed her family, her friends. She missed being able to understand the world around her. Earth was a strange place, and while she had enjoyed it, she found it confusing.

Her eyes dropped down to the rings on her fingers. Victoria wondered if they knew she was still alive. Could they track her, even if she was in a completely different world? Or were spells unable to work between worlds? Victoria hoped that they knew she was okay. In the least, if they ran some spells, she was sure they would come back with some confusing results.

The princess moved her attention back to Alex as he moved her cup of tea in front of her. Victoria took the cup in her hands, pulling it closer before taking a small sip of it. A small hum coming from her, pleased with the taste. Admittedly, Victoria thought the food from his world was amazing.

As Victoria brought over the cups, Alex made sure to say a small thank you to her before he started to fill the cups. Adding a little bit of honey to them to make sure that they're not to bitter. Then, he placed a cup in front of the young Princess before he rested against the other side of the counter and started to slowly sip on his tea.

After a few moments, Alex cleared his throat to gain Victoria's attention. His arms crossed on the counter lazily as he waited for the young girls' attention to be on him. "Question." He said, waiting for her full attention to be on him. "Since you're royal, are there certain things that I need to remember? Greeting wise? What about your parents?" He asked, his lips moving into a slight frown as he didn't know how she felt about them.

Raising his cup to his lips once more, Alex took another sip before he cleared his throat and continued to speak. "In the old times, the Kings and Queens liked it when men bowed and women curtsied to them. People of lower status always referred to them and your highness, Majesty or your grace. Do you use those terms?" Alex asked, curious as to know if their worlds were similar in that aspect or not.

Victoria's eyes furrowed together as Alex started to talk about 'old times'. She didn't understand the words he was saying but she was able to navigate through it enough to know what Alex was trying to ask. He wanted to know the proper way to address them. It was as fair question but it wasn't something that she really wanted Alex to worry about. It was better if he focused his efforts on how to navigate a strange world and get her back to the palace. Especially if Victoria was correct about passing out from the magic use.

Though, nonetheless, Victoria stood up from her chair and moved over to the side that Alex was sitting at. "I don't understand the words that you are using. I suppose we do not have an equivalent to those at home. But I will show you how to address my parents. However, once I am home, I will be giving you a mark that shows that I am protecting you. I think most will let your lack of manners slide. As for my parents, they will know you are not from our world, and that you helped get me home. The worse that will happen from you missing some customs are complaints from the other nobles."

"Anyways, I don't expect you to address me formally. But I suppose it is better if you know how to address my parents formally in case I am not awake when you get to the castle. They are referred to Queen Azanna and King Arlen. It is important that you put the Queen's name first as she is the one of noble blood and my father was married into it. He was a high noble before. If you are speaking to them directly, when you are first brought in front of them, you will do this." Victoria's the moved her arms a few inches in front of her face. One hand was raised in front of her face. The other place underneath it, her fingertips touching the palm of her hand. Her head turned to the side as she did so. After a moment, Victoria turned her head back and looked straight at Alex, her arms dropping to the side. "If my mother offers her hand, you kiss the back of it. If my father offers his hand, you shake it. Both is unlikely. Though, when you are speaking directly to my mother, you call her the 'High Queen Azana' or 'Protectress'. You call my father, 'King Arlen' or 'High Guardian'. When leaving a conversation, you wait for them to dismiss you before doing the same motion as when greeting and you say 'May your light shine forever bright' before leaving."

The princess' head lifted and she looked directly at Alex, hoping he understood. "There is a lot more but this will get you by. It is important that you understand that all of that is only for my parents. Don't greet anyone else that way, not even me."

Victoria went into explaining everything to him. It felt like his face fell little by little. When Alex asked, he thought they'd have something simple and easy for him to remember. What he just saw though, really confused him and he couldn't help but blink blankly at the young woman in front of him.

"Holy cow, that's a lot to remember," Alex mumbled as he slowly raised his tea to his lips and took a few sips of it before he decided to speak once more. "What does that saying mean?" He asked, curious as to rather it was just something people said or if it had a special meaning or something.

Setting his cup down on the table, Alex sighed quietly and leaned back ever so slightly. "What about you then? How do I confront you?" He asked, arching an eyebrow as he tilted his head to the side slightly. "Will we get to talk this casually in your world? Or, will this be one of the last times where we can talk freely to each other?" He asked, his lips slowly falling into a frown as he started to slowly resent the idea of going to her world.

The world that Alex has known since he was a child, a place that he was comfortable in. To think, he'll soon be leaving it as he tries to help a young girl that he barely knows. To a place where he's not going to fit in, and possibly be alienated. Will he ever be able to get home after doing all of this? Will he stay in her world? Will he be able to settle down in her world? His college degree is bound to be worthless in her world. Right?

A small groan escaped from Alex as he closed his eyes and gently runs his fingers through his hair. "I'm getting a headache from worrying about things that haven't even happened yet." He mumbled as he continued to mess up his hair for a moment before placing his hand on the table.

"It essentially means 'I hope your soul is an extremely bright one and that even when your body passes on, it continues'." Victoria was quiet for a moment before continuing. "Do you have souls here? When people die at home, their soul is removed from their body. The brighter the soul, either the happier that person was when they were living or the more happiness that they were able to cause while they were alive. So dark souls tend to come from people who were terribly depressed or horrible to others. The forever part is the hope that your soul doesn't die when your body does, or that something doesn't happen to it to cause a terrible death."

"And it is a lot to remember. That is why I told you that you don't have to worry about it. Nor do I expect you to do anything when approaching me either. I much rather that you focus on helping me get home safely, not learning what to do once we are there. Though I am showing you now so maybe you feel a bit more at ease. But I really think my parents aren't going to worry about it once they learn where you came from. But I'll show you how people greet me."

Victoria hand's moved down to her chest, her palms open face up and her fingers straight. "So once you were in front of me, you would do this. It's a sign of respect but it also shows that you don't have a spell saved up. It's the same reasoning for my parents. I would then place my hand into yours." Victoria reached over, taking Alex's hands and moved his hand into hers. "Kinda like this. And then you would do this." Her free hand moved up to her chest, covering her heart as she leaned down and pressed a light kiss against the back of his hand. She then stood back up. "I would then remove my hand. When people refer to me, it is Princess Victoria. Though when speaking to me, I am called 'High Heiress' or 'Golden Light'. When the conversation is over, you say 'May your light brighten our future' before leaving."

"We will be able to speak casually at home but you will need to be careful about what you say in front of others. But we will have time with just the two of us." Victoria smiled warmly at him. She would make sure of that. Victoria then moved into the seat next to him. "You are getting a headache from worrying about things that you shouldn't even be worrying about. Everything is going to be okay, I promise. And I'll take care of you there like you took care of me. I promise I'll protect you." Victoria smiled warmly at him. "Do you want me to get rid of your headache?"

"Some people believe in souls here, but they're nothing like that," Alex commented as he took another sip of the tea that he had prepared for the both of them before they sat down. "People believe that souls are just well, spirits that inhabit a body and that it'll either take you to heaven, which is supposed to be a holy place. Or hell if you're a horrible person. Everyone has their own belief about them, so it depends on who you ask really."

After Victoria explained how people greeted her, Alex was fairly certain that he was screwed. He wasn't sure how he'd be able to remember to greet her and her parents. So, he was quite glad to know he'll have some leeway on the matter since he's from the earth. "What do you call your planet?" Alex asked as he used his pointer finger and thumb to rub the soreness that was starting to pound against his forehead. "We are on earth right now, that's what we call our planet."

At Victoria's offer to get rid of his headache, Alex nodded his head. He knew that he could just take a Motrin or something for the pain, but. He wasn't going to turn down a quicker way to cure his headache.

"Do you have any random questions about the earth that you'd like to ask me?" Alex asked as he allowed Victoria to heal his headache before sitting back in his chair. His arms crossing over his chest as he relaxed. His dark eyes focused on the beauty that was in front of him at the other end of the table. "Can be as random as you want it to be." He told her, offering a small smile as he waited to hear what the strange girl could want to ask him.

"Well, it had taken a lot of time and effort for our knowledge of souls to come forward. Centuries upon centuries. It's truly difficult magic that even the most powerful magic users have difficulties with. It's something that I will never get to try myself, even if I wanted to. Though, now we have some certainties on what to expect after death. There are still things we do not know but that is for others to learn."

"Aliva is my Earth," Victoria told him. Leaning over, she pressed her hands against the side of his head. Her fingers started to slide along his head, through his hair. She murmured a few words under her breath, her fingers glowing lightly as she did so. A few moments later, Alex's headache was relieved and Victoria was sliding her hands from his hair. The princess let out a small hum as she did so, leaning back into her chair. "That should feel better."

Victoria folded her hands in her lap as she thought about what she wanted to ask Alex about concerning Earth. "I have a lot of questions... and there are a lot of things that I do not understand about this place. Like your... um... items? People looking the boxes? The little boxes in their hands. Or the item that you bought my clothes from." She made a small face as she glanced around the room. "Even your home is odd to me. But the things you use, none of them have magic. So these strange items, I don't understand how they work at all."

Slowly her head turned back to Alex, her eyes landing on his. "But I am also confused as to why you came to get me. Why you were worried that something would happen to me when I was out by myself. You have many strange things here but I have magic. Something it seems you all are defenseless to. Why did you think someone would be able to pickpocket me or even kidnap me? Is there something strange about your criminals here? Why did you think I would take candy from a stranger?"

It's quite interesting learning about Victoria's home planet. It sounds different from earth, but also seems to hold quite a few similarities as well. Which is quite surprising for Alex to say the least. With the way that Victoria speaks and acts sometimes, he assumes that they would be a hundred percent different, now thought. Alex was starting to see things differently.

"Thanks," Alex mumbled quietly as he allowed for Victoria to heal his head. It definitely felt a whole lot better now that she had used her magic on him. A small sigh escaped from Alex as he reached up and ran his fingers along where she had just touched him. The lingering feeling causing a odd sense of calm to wash over the man before he arched an eyebrow at what Victoria was asking him. A small amused smile tugging on his lips.

"You mean this?" Alex asked as he pulled out his iPhone and placed it on the table. "It's a cell phone. It connects us to other people." Pressing the home button, Alex then put in his code and went to his contacts. "All I have to do, is press on one of these names and I'll be able to talk to them through it, or I can write them a message that they'll receive in a few moments." Alex explained as he showed her a few of the common functions of the phone. "Some people also have small games on their phones. The most popular game is Pokemon Go right now, it's based off of a kids TV show."

Slowly, Alex crossed his arms over his chest as he leaned back in his seat. His lips pulled back into an amused smile. "That would be my laptop." Alex started to explain. "It's connected to the internet, which is a invisible sort of electrical wiring thing. I don't know everything about how it works electronically, but it's really good for looking things up." A shrug of his shoulders was a good enough excuse for Alex as he didn't really know how else to explain a laptop,

"What about my apartment confuses you?" Alex asked as he glanced around the place. "As for the items in my apartment..." Alex took a moment to think and look around. "See that black line that's connected to the wall and to my blender?" Alex asked, pointing towards the wire near the stove. "That's a wire, it provides electricity. A wire connects to almost everything in the apartment to make it work. An electricity is a charged particle that creates a charged current." Alex explained, then took a small sip of his drink expecting the questions to be over, but ended up coughing a little as Victoria threw a curveball at him.

"Oh uh." Alex mumbled quietly, not quite sure on what he should be saying to her now that she was bringing that up to him. "I-I guess it was just an irrational thought. Strange world and all, didn't know what would catch you off guard." Alex mumbled and let out another small cough as he pounded on his chest lightly. "You hungry? I can show you how to cook some earth food." Alex suggested, wanting to change the topic.

Reaching out to the cell phone that was on the table, Victoria took it into her hands and started to press random buttons. She didn't fully understand what she was doing or what was going on. Though, admittedly, she found it rather entertaining. At one point, music started to play from it and Victoria dropped it in surprise with a loud gasp, pushing away from it quickly. But once a moment had passed, she reached out again and started to mess around with the device again. "I don't mean this in a rude way, but in truth your explanations or not particularly helpful. You just keep saying more things that I do not understand."

She let out a small sigh before looking back at him and setting the black box down on the counter. "I mean I like the devices but I just find them confusing. Maybe if I keep trying to use them, I will start to understand." Victoria said before letting out a sigh. Even if she wanted to do that, she wouldn't be able to. At least they were going to her home soon and he would be the one who was confused instead of her.

Glancing back at Alex, a warm smile came over her lips. "I can understand that, but it is sweet of you to worry about me. I think I would be fine here now that I know what is going on but I prefer to have you by my side than to go alone. In truth, I am worried about you when we go to my world.... I do think that you will be able to handle yourself but there is much that you do not know there as there is little that I know about here. But you will stay with me and I will protect you like you protect me here."

Standing up, Victoria shook her head. "I would like to learn how to cook some earth food but I need to rest for tonight. Making the potion is going to take a lot out of me." Heading over to the couch, Victoria leaned back against the couch and closed her eyes. "Maybe I should sleep." She murmured.
