As they walked down the halls together, Alex was completely quiet. Absorbing everything that Victoria said like a sponge. His head nodding ever so slightly as a way to show that he was paying attention to her. Pure interest in his eyes as he glanced down at the slightly shorter woman. Everything that escaped from her lips was new to him. Never had he dreamt of meeting someone who was an actual Princess and lived in an actual Castle. Much less one that was filled with magic and could do magic just as easily.
As Victoria spoke of her childhood, a small hum escaped from Alex. His head nodding ever so slightly. It was understandable, what she was saying about loving it and also feeling like it was unfair. He could see how it could weigh a person down. Having to always push themselves to be greater and perfect in everything that they did.
As they reached the large double doors, Alex opened his mouth to ask another question but stopped as Victoria pulled him aside. A look of confusion appearing on his face as he looked down at her. His lips parting as his eyes widened. He wasn't sure what Victoria was doing. Sure, she was quite a beautiful young lady, but. He wasn't sure he felt the same way about her. Sure, her eyes were quite nice to look at, and she had an amazing body not to mention their personalities were almost the same which meant that conversation flowed smoothly between them, but. He wasn't really looking for a relationship. He was still dealing with his bad break-up not to mention he was going to be going home soon. To his realm, his plane of existence.
A twinge of pain at the back of his neck snapped Alex out of his thoughts. His dark eyes blinked in confusion and then watched as Victoria slowly moved away from him. His right hand instinctively going to the back of his neck as Victoria started to explain what she had just done to him. "So, I'm like a Christmas tree." He murmured as he glanced up and around himself as he looked at all of the random letters and strange symbols floating around him. "This spell makes me feel like I have little fairies floating around me." Alex murmured, thinking about the old folk tales his grandfather used to tell him.
Pursing his lips together, Alex glanced down towards Victoria once he had enough of examining his new protection spell. "Let's get you something to eat before you faint from exhaustion." Alex murmured as he looked over the Princess. His lips moving into a frown as he saw how much it took out of her. "You know, you didn't need to do that right now. I'm with you right now, so I dought someone would something at me from across the dining hall." Alex offered Victoria a worried look. "I am grateful for it though, thank you." Sometimes Alex worried that Victoria was going to overdo herself. He didn't want a repeat of what had happaned when they had gotten here.
Once they started towards the double doors once more, Alex stopped walking and turned towards Victoria. "How about an ambassador?" Alex asked, glancing towards Victoria. "Why don't you name the ambassador of the Earth realm? That shouldn't be a title that needs to be noble or commoner, right? Just someone different." Alex waited for Victoria's answer before opening the door for her like the Earthen gentleman that he was. Ignoring the sound dying as they entered and followed Victoria as she walked to where ever it was they were to sit and eat.
