Kendra has woken up in the morning. Her body was now completely healed from a job she did last night. Kendra was a succubus that even though her kind fed on humans, she protected them and even befriended one. She fed on energy and sex. With monsters she fed on their energy but with humans she was careful and only fed on them when needed; making sure she didn’t hurt or kill them. Her abilities made being a hunter easy since she was able to charm a man or woman to get what she needed. There was one man she never used her abilities on but that was because she had fallen for him. He was a fellow hunter but it would never work due to the fact she wasn’t a human. She had a hard time pushing him out of her mind. It didn’t help that she happened to have one of his shirts that she wore to bed. It smelled like him. It was comforting and heartbreaking at the same time. She often wondered how he was.

They were now in a town not to far from where their last job was. Young women were going missing. With a sigh, Kendra sat up in bed and grabbed her phone when she noticed that Ava wasn’t in the room. She figured that Ava had went to go get coffee. ‘Morning. Coffee?” She texted before getting out of bed and making her way to the bathtrom. She then jumped into the shower.

Dean sighed as he drove. His mind was lost in thought, thinking about what they came across. It was monster that was clearly fed on by a succubus which meant two things; it was either Kendra or a differnet succubus. Both were problems in their own way. If it was Kendra that meant that his younger brother would be upset and torn again, not that Sam had gotten over her. If it was another one, it could be feeding on humans and monsters which would be bad. Kendra also meant that Ava would be with her and he didn’t know if he could face Ava after the last time. He had feelings for her but he wanted to protect her. This job didn’t have happy endings. It was easier for dean to be alone and be a flirt then to fall for Ava and then lose her.

With another sigh, he pulled up to a motel which had a diner next. They were in town for a case of missing women. He wasn’t sure if it was their thing but he needed a distraction and knew Sam needed one as well. “We are here” he said as he shut the car off which caused his brother to wake up. “Let’s go get some grub then get our room” he had suggested before getting out of the car.

Ava smiled and sent back a confirming that she was getting coffee. It was the only way for her to get around in the morning. She grabbed the two cups, heading back to the car. She had been exhausted after throwing herself into the job so much. It was just how she was. As good as Kendra was with the hunts because of what she was, Ava wasn’t going to let her do all the work. It just wasn’t how she was. She had to prove herself to everyone. She couldn’t allow herself to be viewed as just a girl for eye candy. She wanted to be viewed as strong just like every hunter out there. Then she remembered the one hunter that she had tried to keep out of her head since she had met him.

Sometimes she hated that she was like this because it was part of the reason why she wouldn’t just let herself miss Dean. Or at least openly. She had started to feel something for him when he had been out flirting with other girls, and she swore him off and other guys for that matter. She couldn’t let herself get hurt like this again, knowing that if it happened and went wrong, she would feel a thousand times over.



Sam followed his brother into the diner and tried not to think about what they had come across. He was still conflicted about how he felt about Kendra. He knew he had feelings for her, but she was a succubus even though she wasn’t bad and even fought to protect humans. There was a part of him that didn’t know how to handle that even though he missed her. He wanted to talk to Dean about it but knew he wouldn’t open up about it. He knew that if it was Kendra, then there would be Ava who was someone you didn’t bring up to Dean. Sam didn’t blame him. He didn’t want someone to bring up Kendra in conversation for no reason.

He sat down across from Dean. “Let me guess. Pancakes?” he asked. He glanced around the diner seeing who were around them. He didn’t like to be unaware of what is going on around him. “Or is it waffles today?”

Kendra got out of the shower and slipped on tight jeans along with a cami. She then put on sams flannel shirt. She read the text before responding. “Im about to head there. I want some breakfast x” she sent the text before walking out of the hotel room, making her way to the diner. She then froze when she saw the impala, that meant the man she was in love with was here. Oh shit Ava she thought to herself before making her way in. Curiousity got to her and she looked around before finally spotting Sam. He wasn’t exactly hard to spot, he was tall. She stared at him for a moment before moving her eyes to find her best friend. She then quickly went over to Ava. “So the boys are here” she whispered to her best friend as she took one of the cups from Ava. She took a sip as she waited for her best friends reaction. They were at the bar so their backs were turned to where the guys were sitting.

Dean sat down and grabbed the menu. “I’m thinking waffles” he said before putting the menu down. He ordered coffee and noticed his brother was quiet so he looked around. He then noticed someone who looked like Ava. It can’t be he thought to himself before he saw Kendra sitting right next to her. He then looked at Sam. “Do we need to go?” He then asked, not knowing if Sam had seen Kendra. Kendra was in Sams shirt of all things. He knew how painful it was for Sam to let Kendra go, how torn he was. Plus Dean couldn’t face a hurt Ava again. He loved her but couldn’t let her know

Ava looked around trying not to be obvious when Kendra said that the boys are here. She froze for a second seeing Dean. The one person she missed the most in the world. She sat next to the bar, not sure what to do or say. She took a sip of the coffee in her hands. “What are they doing here?” Ava said more to herself than to Kendra. It wasn’t hard to figure it out, but why would they have to run into them just when she thinks that she might be over Dean. Now she started of thinking of their time together before he broke her heart. “Do you want to stay?” she asked, looking at her best friend. She knew that Kendra was getting torn up just as much since where Dean went Sam followed. Or vice versa. And they had comforted each other over this so many times, trying to get over them even though it seemed impossible.



Sam looked up to where Dean was looking and saw Kendra. He sucked in a breath, not knowing how to react. He didn’t want to leave because a part of him wanted to see her again, and at the same time he didn’t want to because he didn’t want to drag up old feelings. He saw Ava sitting next to Kendra and turned back to Dean. “I, uh.... I don’t know,” he said, stuttering a bit. “Are you wanting to leave?” He looked at his older brother trying to get a read on him. His eyes were locked on Ava and didn’t seem to hear a word he just said. Sam wanted to roll his eyes. It was like old times. Dean would keep his attention focused on Ava that he lost interest in her world. Sam knew he was the same with Kendra. Clearing his throat, he called out for Dean to look at him. “Were you listening to me?”

Kendra heard Ava ask why they were here and she was wondering the same thing. “They are probably here on the case” she said before sipping her coffee. This life they were bound to run into each other eventually. Old feelings coming back, thinking about the last night they spent together. She had gotten in front of Sam when a monster went to stab him, making the blade go into her stomach instead of possibly killing the man she loved. He had stayed with her that night and they had sex. That was how she healed quickly was through sex. Then they went their separate ways. With a sigh, she got up. “I’m probably going to regret this” she whispered as she bit her lip. “I’m going to stay” she then said to her best friend before grabbing a menu and making her way to the booth Sam and Dean were in. Turn around Turn around she found herself thinking but her body was in control. She needed to be near him. She stood at the booth. “So what brings you guys to town” she said with a sweet smile, feeling Sams eyes on her body.

Dean snapped out of his staring at Ava. God damn she was gorgeous. He then looked at his brother. “I have no idea what to do” he admitted, curious to know if Ava would leave. He then saw Sam stare off, figuring he was staring at Kendra. “Do you think you they will leave?” Dean asked, trying to grab Sam’s attention. Then he heard Kendra. “Oh just here for a case” he responded. He hoped Ava would come over but at the same time he didn’t.

Ava sighed and followed after her friend. As much as she hated to admit it, she had wanted to see Dean again if only to get another shot at being together even if that was wishful thinking. She straightened her back. “Well, are you guys going to make room for us or what?” she asked, standing next to Kendra. Ava just looked directly at Dean waiting for him to do something. He just stared at her and then as if something finally clicked in his brain, he scooted over and patted the space beside him. She sat down and looked at them. “So what’s new?” she asked, trying to sound confident and cool about running into them again. She was sitting next to Dean again their legs were touching for how close they were.



Sam watched Ava sit down as he scooted over for Kendra to sit next to him. He glanced at Dean who was just in awe of Ava’s calm demeanor, making it hard to figure out what was going through her mind. He glanced at Kendra and just didn’t know how to react. She was sitting next to him and was having to be extremely close since he took up so much space. “Uh, nothing really. Just working cases, saving the world, you know?” Sam replied to Ava. His eyes didn’t leave Kendra’s face, memorizing her features all over again. “What about you guys?” he asked. He hoped he didn’t stutter with the amount of nerves going through him at the moment. He felt like a kid around his first crush again. He looked over at Dean, trying see what he was thinking.

Kendra sat down in the booth next to Sam. She placed her hands on her lap, wanting Sam to grab them but doubted he would. There was barely space between them. She felt his eyes on her, goosebumps going all over body which caused her to think about that which made her hungry and not for food. Her brown eyes went a very vivid blue. She closed her eyes quickly, hoping that no one saw. She was pretty sure that Sam saw since he was studying her so closely. Being a creature who fed on sex and energy was not easy especially around Sam. Sam sent electricity through her body when they were together. A connection they couldn’t deny. Her eyes opened again, chocolate brown as they normally were. “The same pretty much” she said softly as she sipped her coffee and looked over the menu. Her hand had moved when the hunger hit her, getting close to Sam’s thigh.

Dean scooted and watched Ava, not being able to take his eyes off her. He did for a moment when Kendra spoke. The booths were smaller than normal ones it seemed like. Ava’s body was so close to his and he had to fight the urge to grab her hand or thigh. “Maybe we could help each other?” He then suggested before looking at Ava, studying her face. He knew this could be bad for both him and Sam. Ava thankfully was human but still didn’t change the fact that it was going to be hard not to give into her. God he loved her and wanted to be with her so badly, it hurt.

“It wouldn’t hurt to have someone on our team,” Ava said, smiling at Dean. She liked the thought of going on a hunt with him again. She didn’t know if it would be like old times when he would joke around with her flirt with her. All those thoughts sent her back to one Dean was the first person she had sex with. She could still remember that night and how they celebrated a successful hunt. She looked down at her hands, and wondered if she had made a mistake back then. Maybe she should have held off and she wouldn’t have missed Dean so much. “I mean, the more the merrier, right?” Ava was trying to keep her emotions in because she didn’t want to break down right then and there in front of strangers in the diner.



Sam smiled. “Yeah. Plus, I know I have missed our hunts together. It was easier to have each other’s backs and made the research so much easier,” he said, wanting to keep Kendra nearby even if they would just part ways after this was over. He just wanted her here. He looked at her and noticed the change in her eyes, but didn’t say anything. He knew that she couldn’t really help it, and he would rather have her feeding off of his energy than some random stranger even though he still couldn’t tell how to feel about her not being human. “I don’t know how much I can speak for Dean, but I know I liked having you two with us even if you both could kick our asses without breaking a sweat,” he commented.

Kendra looked at Ava before looking at Sam. She was a little surprised by what he said. It made her happy that he seemed to want to be around her. Her hunger built as she sat with him. She tried to focus on other things as her placed her hand on his thigh. “I’m game with working together” she said before adding. “I do need a time out thoug before we go anywhere”.Everyone at the table meant that she needed to feed either on sex or take someone’s energy. She would rather it be Sam but she didn’t want to upset him.

Dean smiled. He was happy that Ava seemed to be okay working with him. “Great sounds awesome” he said as he took a sip of his coffee. He then looked at Sam when Kendra said that she needed a time out. “Oh great lost my appetite. Just what I want to hear at breakfast” he teased with a smirk which turned into a laugh when Kendra rolled her eyes and threw a napkin at him, calling him a perv which Dean winked at Ava. “Only sometimes” he said in Ava’s direction. He loved giving Kendra shit for being a succubus.

Ava chuckled. “Still always a mess,” she muttered to Dean as she leaned into him. She could feel his body heat, and she just about melted on the spot. As much as she knew that she shouldn’t do this and that it would be safer for her to just walk away. Dean always pulled at her, and she couldn’t help herself. She reached up and traced her fingers across his jaw. His stubble scratched across her fingertips. Ava turned to look at Kendra and nodded. She knew that Kendra had to do what she had to do. She just wondered if Sam would help her out not.



Sam looked at Kendra and didn’t know what to say without pushing himself at her. “Do you, uh, need me to come with?” he asked, nervously. He made a point at not looking at Dean because his older brother would only embarrass him more than he already did. He just knew that he didn’t want her to find some stranger who would have his hands on Kendra. He couldnt imagine it, so he didn’t want to become a reality even though he didn’t want to make her choose him because he is being possessive for no good reason. He looked at her waiting for her answer.

Kendra couldn’t help but smile. He had been this way since day one, getting jealous even when she took energy from someone which was basically just kissing. “You can if you want” she said sweetly. She never used her “charm” on Sam. They didn’t have to have sex. He could have kissed her and got the job done but she was sure that he didn’t want to kiss her in public especially in front of Dean. “I am going to go to the room” she as she got up and began to walk out, figuring that Sam would be behind her to make sure that no one else had hands on her.

Dean laughed softly and looked at Ava as she ran her fingers against his jaw. This was going to be hard. He looked at into her eyes. “I missed you so much beautiful” he found himself saying. He wanted to kiss her so badly but wasn’t sure if she wanted him to. There was a part of him that told him to stop and just focus on the case. This was bad for both of them. He didn’t know if he could leave her again.

Ava smiled. “And I missed you, sweets,” she commented. There was that old pet name she had for him. She knew that this could end badly for them both, and there was the fact that they could get used to blackmail the other. It was just at that moment she didn’t think she could let him go again. And they needed to talk about how they parted, but it was going to wait. “Dean, are you going to take me somewhere for us to be alone?” Ava asked leaning in and whispering in his ear. As much as she was fine with PDA with him, she didn’t want to go overboard like he tended to do in front of others.



Sam followed after Kendra, wondering just what she had in mind. He knew that she didn’t have to have sex to do what she needs and he wasn’t going to force her. He just knew that he didn’t want another guy near her. He held the door open for her and took her to the hotel she was staying at. He smiled looking at the generic motel room.

Kendra was glad the motel was not far, just next door. She walked to the hotel room and let Sam in. Her eyes watched him as he walked in. She was going to try just to kiss Sam but deep down she knew it would escalate. Once he sat down on her bed, she walked over to him and got on his lap. She normally would let Sam take control but she needed him so badly right now. Sam was the only man that could dominate her. Dean smiled when Ava told him that she missed him too. He was about to respond but simply nodded when Ava asked if he was going to take them somewhere to be alone. “Of course babe” he said before getting out his wallet and setting cash down for the waitress. Once Ava got out of the booth, he took her hand and lead her to the hotel room that he had just gotten. “Pick a bed” he said with a playful wink. He wasn’t sure how far Ava wanted to go but he wasn’t going to pressure her to do more.

Ava grabbed onto Dean’s jacket, pulling him towards the closest bed in the room. She moved back with the back of her legs hitting the bed. She leaned in and kissed him deeply. She pulled him back as she slowly climbed on the bed. She wasn’t sure if she was go further than kissing, but she needed the intimacy that he always offered her. She needed him close after all these years. She smiled when he followed after her on the bed. She wrapped her arms around his neck and parted her lips and licked at his lips. Her hands grabbed at his hair, causing a moan to to escape him.



Sam wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to him. He could his energy draining from him, but he didn’t care. He just couldn’t help himself, wanton her close to him.
