Fake Love

Elkie sighed as she walked the wooded path towards the warehouse where her and her friends always hung out. She had a bottle of whiskey in one hand, it was almost empty; but she continued to get the last bit of the liquor out, and a cigarette in the other. She didn’t know why or what came over when she woke up that morning at her boyfriend Seungwon’s. She stole the bottle of whiskey before leaving, even though she was still hung over from last nights drinking.

She finished the whiskey before tossing the bottle into the evergreens and continued puffing her cigarette. She didn’t even bother covering up the bruises on her pale skin now. She had been dating Seungwon for four years and a year into their relationship he began beating her for the dumbest shit. First she was scared, and then she began fighting back. Of course, he always won, just like her father.

She hiccuped as she approached the clearing, seeing the warehouse. She wasn’t ready to go inside just yet, entering the empty pool and lying down on the mattress as she finished her cigarette. She was dressed in shorts, her thin pale legs decorated in different colored bruises, a tank top and a flannel, which she had rolled up to her elbows.

She stared at her arm, the bruises on her wrists from where Seungwon grabbed her last night, forcing her to have sex with him, when she didn’t want it. She had another bruise on her cheek. She sighed and put her cigarette out before heading up to the door of the warehouse.

As Elkie walked in, she could hear her friends talking. She entered the living room, seeing Namjoon, Yoongi and Hoseok seated at a table, talking quietly, probably about music. They wanted to make it big, everyone knew that.

Jungkook, Tae and Jimin sat on the floor, Tae and Kook playing a video game while Jimin cheered them on. She smelled kimchi fried rice and figured Jin was cooking. Jimin was the first to notice her. “Elkie.” He smiled, avoiding looking at her bruises.

“Morning.” Elkie said, walking to grab a bottle of water.

“It’s 2pm, kiddo.” Joon sighed.

“Afternoon then?” Elkie shrugged and sat down.

“Well, now that Elkie is here. I have news.” Joon said.

“You’re gay?” Jimin giggled.

Joon chuckled, “no, I uh, I have a girlfriend. We’ve been dating for the last four months and I’m ready to introduce you guys to her.” Joon said, waiting for everyone to react.

When everyone heard Namjoon's news, there were some mix reactions to it. Yoongi just scoffed and rolled his eyes. He pretty much thought that relationships were pointless and that it always leads to someone getting hurt. The youngest three boys, Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook, paused the game that they were playing and gave their attention to Namjoon.

"Oh what's her name?" Taehyung asked.

"I bet she's really pretty. You seem to know a lot of pretty girls Namjoon-hyung." Jimin commented.

"Is she nice?" Jungkook smiled softly.

While the youngest three boys took the news well, Jin and Hoseok was also happy for their friend, however, they were still a little concern. The last girl he dated really broke Namjoon's heart leaving him depressed for months, but then again the two of them did notice how happy their friend has been as of late and maybe this new girl was the reason for his happiness. However, it wouldn't be the first time Namjoon became a lovesick fool when is dating someone new, but Jin and Hoseok wanted to support his happiness. "When can we meet her? And shall I make Kimchi stew when she does visit?" Jin suggested, knowing that he only makes Kimchi stew for special occasions. "Tell us about her, hyung. How did you two meet? How did you ask her out?" Hoseok asked, his cheerfulness radiated off him.

Jia was staring at the clothes in her closet, trying to figure out what to wear for when she meets her boyfriend's friends tonight around dinner time. Namjoon had always talked about them and how they were like a little family and she couldn't wait to meet them, but she wanted to make a good impression on his friends. Although Jia had been dating Namjoon for four months and she will be just meeting his friends now, she knew why they waited so long. Apparently his ex before he started dating her, had treated his friends, especially the younger four in the group, horribly. Not only that, his ex had Namjoon strung out in drugs, heroin to be exact, and it had gotten so bad that he had to distant himself from his friends so they wouldn't know.

Looking at her closet once more, Jia finally picked out an outfit. It was simply casual yet cute and she thought it would be perfect for her to wear when meeting his friends. Laying the articles of clothing on her chair, she decided that she would take a nap since she has a few hours before she had to get ready and go over to Namjoon's hangout spot and to calm her nerves .

Namjoon chuckled, “she’s very beautiful and yes, she’s sweet.” He said, sitting back down and nodding towards Jin hyung, “kimchi stew would be great.” He said and turned his attention to the others.

“We met at one of my events, where I was rapping. She’s a singer, so she sings there a lot. I approached her one night and told her she did a good job and we exchanged numbers and started talking.” He explained.

“I finally asked her out after seeing her at the club we were preforming at again.” He shrugged, “nothing really special.”

“Aww! That’s cute, hyung!” Jimin grinned, clapping his hands together.

Elkie remained silent. She was happy Namjoon had met someone else but she was also worried. She didn’t know if this girl would turn out to be like the last one, she hoped she wouldn’t, Namjoon deserved to be happy.

Elkie got up and headed into the kitchen where Jin was now getting things out to make the kimchi stew. Elkie helped herself to a bowl of kimchi fried rice, sitting down at the makeshift table as she watched Jin move around.

She watched him, knowing he wanted to say something to her. She sighed and raised her head, “you keep staring, oppa, so what’s up?” She finally asked, after swallowing her first bite of rice and taking a sip of water.

Back in the living area, Namjoon pulled his phone out to text Jia. Hey babe, I told them about you coming over and they’re all excited. Jin hyung is making kimchi stew, it’s his special occasion dinner, haha. What time are you going to be coming, love? he sent the text before putting his phone down.

“Yoongi hyung, What’s on your mind? You’ve had a pissed off look on your face since Elkie walked in.” He asked.

He knew he didn’t have to ask, everyone was thinking the same thing; why couldn’t Elkie just leave her piece of shit boyfriend. Namjoon recalls many times where they would have to intervene, especially Yoongi. He knew his hyung disapproved of Elkie’s choice in men, and as much as they tried to convince her to leave him, she was an adult and could make her own decisions.

He hoped bringing Jia around would help Elkie realize she wasn’t doing herself any good by staying with Seungwon. Jia had been in a similar situation before Namjoon, that’s how they started dating, but he didn’t tell his friends that. He didn’t feel like it would be right to Jia if he had told them the truth, that was something he wanted Jia to open up to them about.

Yoongi looked at Namjoon and rolled his eyes, "Why do you even bother asking when you and I both know...hell everyone else knows how that mother fucker keeps laying his hands on her." He said and then took a big swig of his soju, ignoring the concerned look on his friend's face when he saw him drinking. "But she's so fucking stupid to even realize that she needs leave his ass and now I'm at the point where I'm trying to not give a fuck anymore since she keeps letting the fucker beat her." Yoongi growled lowly in annoyance, now seeing that his soju bottle was now empty.

Getting up from the couch he was sitting on, he began to head towards the refrigerator to get another bottle of acoholic beverage, slapping Namjoon's hand away from his when he tried to express his concern for him. Yoongi walked into the kitchen, not caring that he walked into the middle of Jin and Elkie's conversation as he opened the fridge.

"We're just worried about you, Elkie. Seungwon is not a nice guy and I'm sure you already know that, but we're just afraid that if you don't leave him soon that he will hurt you so bad that we might be too late to save you. Of course I don't want that to happen." Jin continued, sighing sadly.

As Elkie was about to speak, Yoongi interrupted by letting a scoff escape his lips. He took out the lighter that he hand in pants' pocket and used the flat end of it to pop open the cap of the soju bottle . He took a swig of the alcohol beverage before slamming the bottle down on the counter.

"Don't bother even trying to convince her dumbass to leave that fucker anymore, because we all know she won't." He said and then looked at Elkie, glaring at her. "It's obvious that you two are made for each other since you seem to love being abused. You keep asking us for advice, but you just completely ignore every help that we offer and continue to let him leave marks on you. I don't even understand why you are here? Because we don't owe you any empathy."

Jia had just finished applying her lipstick to complete her makeup when she she heard her phone pinged, notifying that she had a text message. Putting the lipstick away and checked herself in the mirror to make sure that she didn't have any unwanted smudges and smears, Jia picked up her phone and saw that the text message was from her boyfriend, Namjoon. She read the message with a smile, feeling a tiny bit less nervous about meeting his friends.

I'm finished getting ready, so I'll be leaving shortly. So I'll see you soon, my love. She quickly responded back, putting her phone in her in the pocket of her jacket and turned off the lights in her single bedroom apartment, before grabbing her keys and heading out to her car.

Twenty minutes later, Jia arrived to the abandoned looking park that Namjoon had given her the address too. She parked her car next to her boyfriend's car which was facing a cabin where she could see Namjoon and his friends mingling around inside. Jia was now too nervous to even leave her car and go to the door, so she took out her phone and texted Namjoon. Hey, I just pulled in...but I'm to nervous to go up to the door and meet your friends...come out and walk me in, please?.

Elkie looked at Yoongi and made a face. “First of all, fuck you. You act like you’re so goddamn innocent, Yoongi.” She said before getting up.

Joon could hear the arguing and got up, already going into the kitchen, in case it got nasty. He watched Elkie step up to Yoongi, “you’re so fucking drunk all the time, you don’t even realize what the fuck is going on around you. No wonder they banned you from doing your rap battles at the club, you can’t rap correctly if you’re stumbling all over the place and knocking people down.” She snapped back.

Joon stepped in now, when he saw Yoongi’s fist clench. He pulled Elkie back, “you two need to relax.”

“Whatever. I’m out of here.” Elkie said, pulling away from Joon and walking out of the kitchen. She walked out the front door, letting it slam behind her as she walked down to the pool.

“You need to go chill out before I bring Jia in.” Joon told Yoongi before going to the front door and walking out.

He walked up to Jia’s car and sighed, “I’m warning you now, two of my friends are arguing so, I wouldn’t say much to them, at least for now.” He said.

He was disappointed in Yoongi and in Elkie. For once he’d like them all to be sober and have a nice time together without the two of them going at each other, trying to hurt the other one worse than before.

"Fucking Bitch" Yoongi mumbled to himself as he watched Elkie leave to go outside.

He gulped the last bit of soju from the current bottle in his hand before trashing it only to get another one from the fridge. Popping the cap off the new bottle, Yoongi took another gulp, not taking in as much as the last one. He saw the concerned look on Jin's face, as he took a small break from making Kimchi stew, and rolled his eyes at his oldest friend. "Shut the fuck up, Jin." Yoongi gowled out rudely, before Jin could voice his concern.

Yoongi grabbed his bottle of soju and started walking away to head towards his makeshift studio room. "I don't fee like meeting Namjoon's new bitch. So don't let him, better yet, don't let anyone come into the room to bother me." He barked at Jin before slamming the door shut and locking it so that no one could walk in.

Jia could tell that Namjoon wasn't happy like he usually is and that something was bothering him. "What's wrong, love." She asked once he was in front of him, cupping his cheeks. When he told what happened, she nodded and pressed her lips to his. "Do you want me to come over another time when everyone is fine? I don't want to make the situation worse." She told him. Although she really wanted to meet his friends, or what he would call his little family, Jia didn't want to turn an already sour mood into something worse, especially when Namjoon already has a lot on his plate as it is.

"No, no. I still want you here. Besides the other five are really excited to meet you, especially the younger three and I want to show you off. Who knows, maybe the other two will get their act together and will introduce themselves to you" He reassured Jia, which made her blush but smile.

Letting out a small giggle, Jia leaned in once more and kissed him a few more times before moving her hand down to his and intertwine their fingers together. "I'm still a little nervous about meeting your little family, but more excited. So show me the way, my love."

Namjoon smiled and led Jia up to the building. He noticed Elkie was still sitting in the pool, so he hoped she was planning on coming back in after she cooled down.

Namjoon opened the door for Jia, before leading her down the narrow hallway and into the living room. The kids were no longer in the living room, but he heard dishes being used in the kitchen so he figured everyone went in there.

Namjoon held Jia’s hand as he went to the kitchen. Namjoon cleated his throat, getting everyone to look at him. “Guys, this is Jia. Jia this is Seokjin, Hoseok, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook.”

“She’s so pretty hyung!” Jungkook smiled. Jin walked over and gave her a smile, “it’s nice to meet you, Jia, we were just about to sit down and eat.” He said.

Namjoon smiled, seeing Taehyung switch places with Hoseok so he could sit on the other side of Jia. “Come sit with us, noona!” Tae smiled.

Elkie eventually started getting hungry again and decided to go back inside. She saw Yoongi’s door closed, which meant he was hiding in his studio. Elkie shrugged before going to the kitchen.

“Elkie, there you are.” Jin said, getting up from his spot to fix the younger girl a bowl of stew.

Elkie grabbed a can of sprite before sitting down across from Jia. She quietly thanked Jin when he placed the bowl in front of her.

“Elkie, this is Jia, Namjoonie hyung’s girlfriend!” Jungkook said excitedly.

Elkie looked up, making eye contact with Jia. She didn’t say hi, but gave a slight nod. “Elkie and Yoongi hyung got into a fight earlier. That’s why you haven’t met him yet.” Jimin told Jia.

“It wasn’t a fight, Jimin. We argued.” Elkie said, as she concentrated on eating her stew.

Jia blushed when the youngest of Namjoon's group of friend told her that she was pretty and she felt pretty relieved when all smiled at her and wanted her sit with them and join in with their dinner. "You guys are so sweet and making me feel no longer nervous." Jia said as she sat down next to Taehyung, while Namjoon sat down on her other side. Jin had placed a bowl filled with the kinchi stew inside of it, in front of her and Jia couldn't help but smile warmly.
"Oh this smells so delightful, Jin, and I'm sure it tastes even more wonderful." She complimented before taking her soup spoon and chopsticks and began eating. "Oh my God Jin, this amazing." She cheered.

"I like Jia noona a lot Namjoon-hyung." Jimin cheered while the other two younger boys nodded in agreement, causing Jia to blush.

"You guys are so sweet and adorable. I just wanna put you three in my pockets." Jia cooed. She then saw a girl sit down in the empty seat in front of her with a bowl of her own filled with the Kimchi stew. She knew that this girl was Elkie, so she smiled and introduced herself.

"Hi Elkie, I'm Jia. Namjoon has told me s lot about you." She greeted the younger girl, but she only recieved a look and a small tilt of her chin in her direction.

“Elkie and Yoongi hyung got into a fight earlier. That’s why you haven’t met him yet.” Jimin told Jia.

“It wasn’t a fight, Jimin. We argued.” Elkie bit back and then focused on eating her stew.

"No worries, I will meet Yoongi when he is ready and I will also wait until you are comfortable to talk to me, Elkie. I dont want to force you guys into liking me." Jia offered a friendly and reassuring smile to the younger girl.

Yoongi had his headphones on while he was working on this melody that he created. So he couldn't hear his friends talking among each other over kimchi stew since the music blocked any outside noise. The melody that he was working on was dark and somber, however, Yoongi couldn't figure out the next part to flow with the melody. It was like the melody was being stubborn and doesn't even take the help that it's being offered to make the two bar melody to a whole song. Almost like how Elkie wont take the advice from him about leaving her abusive ex so she could be with a better guy who could love her, someone like him.

Yoongi grunted in anger at the thought and threw his headphones at the desk when he took it off his ear. He reached for the bottle of soju needing the alcohol in his system, but it was empty. Yoongi grunted in annoyance once more, knowing that he would have to go into the kitchen and possibly get seen by Namjoon and he will want to introduce him to his new bitch, which is not what he wanted at all. Sighing to himself, he really wanted another drink, so he decided to take the risk to get another bottle of Soju, hoping that he could sneak by without any of his friends noticing.

Elkie looked at her, but didn’t say anything. She finished her stew and got up to put her bowl in the sink as she noticed Yoongi trying to sneak in. She knew what he was here for and went to the fridge, grabbing a bottle of soju and then a bowl, pouring some kimchi stew in it.

She turned and gave Yoongi a look, before grabbing both items and walking towards him, before anyone else noticed him, and handed him the bottle. The stew was for him, she knew if someone didn’t bring him food, he’d forget to eat.

She walked to his studio, sitting the bowl down on the desk, before looking at him. “You need to eat.” She said, watching him, waiting for him to kick her out, but hoping he wouldn’t.

“So, Jia, how’d you meet this ugly dude when there are so much better looking people in the world, like me?” Jin smirked.

Namjoon rolled his eyes, knowing Jin was just playing. “I don’t think she could handle you, hyung.” He teased back.

“We barely can.” Taehyung snickered, blowing the eldest a kiss whenever Jin glared at him.

Jia laughed as the boys teased each other. Although, she could see the brotherly love they have for each other, she was hoping that they will like her enough so that she could be a part of this little family. Growing up, Jia had always been alone. Her parents didnt want anything to do with her that they ended up giving her up, so she spent most of her life just going in and out of foster homes enduring all kinds of abuse. It wasn't until she met Namjoon that she actually felt real love and a real friendship that she had been missing.

"I met Namjoon at a show that we were performing at. I had performed first, but I stayed for the rest of the show to hear the other talents. So when I saw Namjoonie on the stage rapping, I couldn't help but think how talented and cute he was. However, he was the one who made the first move that got us to start talking." She explained to the guys as she felt Namjoon's hand rest against her thigh, which she placed her hand in his intertwining their fingers with one another.

"Us dating has been good for us. We're helping each other forgive and forget the people and things that hurt us. I cant imagine being with anyone else but him." Jia continued before placing a soft kiss on his cheek.

Yoongi sighed in slight annoyance when Elkie slipped into his room, but when he saw the bottle of Soju and a bowl filled with the kimchi stew that Jin made, he relaxed a little. "Thanks" he mumbled and took the soju bottle and pop the cap off. He found a cup nearby him and poured half to alcoholic beverage in it before giving the bottle back to Elkie. "Look I'm sorry. What i said earlier was fucked up, but I wish you would see that your loser boyfriend is hurting you." He said but then stops, not wanting to get into an argument.

"I see that you met Namjoon's girlfriend...is she like his ex?" Yoongi asked, changing the subject.

“Awww! So cute!” The three younger boys cooed. “Well, there goes my appetite.” Hoseok joked, to which Namjoon flipped him off. Hoseok just smiled before getting seconds and sitting back down.

“Noona, did you see Yoongi hyung rap? He’s good too! So is Hoseok hyung.” Jungkook grinned.

“Yeah, she did. That was the last battle he was at before they banned him.” Namjoon sighed.

“I wish Yoongi hyung didn’t drink so much.” Taehyung sighed.

The table went quiet after that but Tae knew all the boys were thinking the same thing.

Elkie didn’t even bother mentioning her boyfriend. She didn’t want to fight with Yoongi anymore. She shrugged when he asked about Namjoon’s new girlfriend.

“She seems okay. I didn’t really talk to her.” She admitted. “I just hope she isn’t like his ex, that dumb bitch...I still wanted to kick her ass after what she said about Jiminie.” Elkie mumbled.

She looked around the studio, “Are you working on a new song, oppa?” She asked, seeing his stuff laying about.

Jia felt the unsaid sadness among the boys, which she felt bad too. She didn't know the whole story behind Yoongi's drinking problem, but from what Namjoon had told her it was because of his depression. It was just like Namjoon who was struggling with his drug addiction to heroin which was created by his ex, but ever since Jia came into his life she has helped him kick his addiction and now he has been happier since the day she has met him. Of course, none of his friends knew he had picked up his addiction only Jia did. "Just be patient with him, Yoongi will go back to being his happy self soon. He just needs that one person or multiple people to be there for him and motivate him to get better, but to also not judge him when he is having an episode or breaks down." Jia offered as she gave Namjoon's hand that was linked with hers under the table a light squeeze, knowing that was what she did for him.

Wanting to lift up the mood, Jia started singing one of her songs, hoping to bring a smile to the boys faces. After singing a few lines, she noticed the boys were now focusing on her while she was singing. She smiled when Taehyung leaned against her, resting his head against her shoulder as he continued to listen to her sing.

Yoongi shrug his shoulders nonchalantly but nodded in agreement. He wanted to be happy for his friend's happiness, but it was hard to when he didn't know if he could trust his friend's new girlfriend. "Yeah that bitch almost destroyed our friendship with Namjoon and she had pretty much destroyed him." He paused and then thought about how Namjoon has been acting like his normal self recently. "Maybe Jia or whatever her name is, is actually a good person. I mean Namjoon has been his normal and annoying self lately." Yoongi commented but then dropped the subject.

Yoongi looked back to the semi messy studio that had papers crumbled up on the floor, music sheet papers lying on on top of the desk and the lights were powered on some music equipment. "Yeah, but I only have a short melody. I'm having a hard time trying to develop the melody into a full song." He said, a little frustrated since his writer's block has been severe and he knew it was due to him not performing on a regular basis.

“Jia’s right.” Jin said, seeing Namjoon nod in agreement. “That’s where Elkie should come in at, if she’d ever leave that abusive piece of shit she calls a boyfriend.” Hoseok said.

“I really thought Yoongi hyung And Elkie would be together by now, it’s obvious he likes her.” Jungkook sighed softly.

“Elkie’s dumb though and likes getting smacked around, I guess.” Hoseok shrugged, as he got up and put his bowl in the sink, before going into the kitchen.

“That’s a pretty song, noona.” Jimin told Jia once she was done singing.

“Maybe, He has been acting better since Jiyeon left him.” Elkie said, pulling her knees to her chest. “Well, I’m sure you’ll think of something, oppa.” She said.

“Why don’t you go to that place in Daegu you always used to talk about preforming at when you lived back home.” Elkie suggested.

When Jia heard the boys mentioned about Elkie and her abusive boyfriend, she immediately felt for the younger girl. Before dating Namjoon, Jia was in an abusive relationship that lasted about 5 years where it took until her ex literally almost killing her and left her for dead after brutally beating her, for Jia to realize that she needed to leave him. A lot of people had judged her staying as long as she did, but Jia didnt know at the time that this was not love, because all of her life she had been abused not just by her ex, but by the foster families that would take her in. Jia squeezed Namjoon's hand lightly as she tried getting rid of the thoughts of her ex. When she started dating Namjoon, he had truly shown her what real love was. He had helped her like she helped him.

"Maybe I can talk to her, I know what it's like to be in an abusive relationship." She said softly. "I just hope she'll let me talk to her."

Yoongi sighed softly, "I want to go back to Daegu and perform at my old stopping grounds, but I am afraid I'm going to run into the people and things of my past that I am trying to forget or push away." He sighed as he ran his fingers against the buttons on his mini keyboard.

Shaking his head, he didnt want to talk about him and his struggles anymore. "Are you staying the night with us tonight?" He asked emotionlessly, but he really wanted her to stay the night and not go back to her abusive boyfriend. He hated Seungwon so much that for hurting his friend and the girl he loved, which he wont admit to anyone. Yoongi wanted to get rid of him, even if that meant killing him, but it was hard trying to sneak out to take action because Elkie and the guys were always checking on him.

Namjoon nodded, “I’m sure she will, if you just approach the matter calmly. We’ve tried talking to her but she won’t listen to us, so maybe she needs to hear it from someone whose experienced it before.” He explained softly.

“I think it’s a good idea. And like Namjoon said, just approach her calmly and I’m sure she’ll talk to you.” Jin smiled, beginning to clean up.

Elkie nodded, “I planned on it. Seungwon and I got into a fight last night and I’m still mad at him. He’s been texting me all day but I haven’t replied.” She explained. She grabbed one of Yoongi’s sweatshirts and pulled it on as a low rumble of thunder could be heard.

“I guess we’re getting a storm..” she said and then looked at him, “can I sleep in your bed tonight?” She asked. She was afraid of storms and all the guys knew this, so she usually liked to be with someone whenever it was storming, just so she could ease her mind to sleep.

Jia nodded as she took in the advice on how to approach Elkie, when she'll go talk to her. "I'll do that, but I'm going to wait until things calm down. I dont want to cause more tension, especially since I'm a new face and havent been accepted by her or Yoongi." She said and went to grab all the empty bowls from the other guys and went to the kitchen. "I can clean up, Jin. I know you worked hard on this delicious meal and I just want to show my appreciation." She offered.

Jin tried to refuse, but Jia was adamant so Jin agreed to let her clean. So while Jia cleaned, Jin went back to sitting area where Namjoon and Hoseok were, while Taehyung, Jimin, and Jubgkook were playing videogames in their room. "I like Jia a lot. I can tell that she's really genuine. She's good for you Namjoon." He complimented.

Yoongi sighed in relief that Elkie agreed to stay the night here at the warehouse. Of course he hated that Seugwon was being an ass towards her. He couldn't wait for the day that Elkie would finally leave that son of a bitch or when he gets his hands on him and hurt him like he her his friend.

Yoongi saw Elkie put on his sweater, he wanted to compliment her in how sexy she looked in his clothes, but he didnt want her to reject him. He also wanted to smile when she asked him if she could sleep in his bed with him. Although he knew it was because of the storm that was start, he secretly loved having her lay next to him in bed. It was one of the very few things that took his mind off his depression and even drinking. He looked at the girl and gave his shoulders a shrug and lifted his chin ever so slightly, which was his way of saying yes.

“Me too.” Hoseok smiled. “Good, I’m glad you guys like her and I already know the kids like her, I just hope Yoongi and Elkie can come around.” Namjoon said as he heard the low rumble of thunder outside. “Better go ask if she’s staying tonight.” He said and got up, going into the kitchen.

“Hey baby, there’s a storm coming, do you want to stay tonight?” He asked his girlfriend, before kissing her cheek.

Elkie smiled, “yay. I’m going to get a drink, I’ll be right back.” She told Yoongi before getting down and going out to the kitchen area. She ignored the low rumble of thunder as she grabbed herself a drink before looking over at Namjoon and Jia. She was going to say something before a loud roar of thunder hit, causing her to jump and bump into the counter.

Jia was washing the last couple of dishes when she heard a low rumble coming from outside. She knew that a storm was going to be passing by soon, and wanted to be home safe when it hits. She finished washing the last soup bowl and put it in the dish rack to air dry when she heard Namjoon walk back into the kitchen. She smiled and dried her hands.

"That would be great, that way I dont have to rush home to beat the storm. Will the others be okay with me staying? I dont want to intrude." Jia said as she draped her arms over his shoulders before pressing her lips to his. "How are you feeling?" She asked softly. Although she knew that Namjoon has been doing well staying sober, she just likes to check on him and show him that she is there to support him.

Jia then turned when she heard someone bump into something. She saw Elkie rubbing her head, knowing that the younger girl had hit her head. "Are you okay, Elkie? Let me get you some ice." She said and went to the freezer to and grabbed a few ice cubes and put it in a small baggy before wrapping it around with a layer of paper towel. "Here you go" she said softly to the younger girl.

“Of course they will be.” Namjoon said and then looked over when he heard the table move. “You okay, El?” He asked, seeing the younger girl nod.

“Thanks,.” Elkie said as she sat down, putting the ice pack to her head. Namjoon looked at Jia, “you could talk to her now if you want:” He whispered to his girlfriend.

Elkie opened her water and took a sip with one hand as she held the ice pack against her head with the other.
