Reun sat underneath the moonlight, her legs crossed underneath her, connecting her to the dead grass she sat on. The moon had been her only source of light this deep into the woods, five unlit candles placed around her in a circle. Her eyes were closed as she prayed to the goddesses, he palms up as she quickly chanted. She didn't have to open her eyes to see the candle in front of her light up, and then all the other ones following one-by-one.

Of all the witches in her sisterhood, she was the only one practicing black magic. She'd wanted to be powerful from the moment she had been raped as an adolescent girl. She would never let another person, another mortal, overpower her that way again.

Jimin hid in the shadows of an alleyway, blending in with the pitch black of the building's shadow. He had been stalking his prey, now, waiting for the perfect moment to get them alone. His hyungs were out, stalking their own food. Jimin could smell the young girl, walking down the street. He could hear her heels clicking against the concrete. Saw her long black hair swaying as she walked. Soon, he would feel her skin, and taste her blood. He used the shadows to travel to the next alleyway, and as she passed, he grabbed her at the speed of light.

He didn't waste any time breaking her neck and sinking his teeth into it. No screams, no mess. When he was done, he dumped her body in a dumpster.

Jungkook could smell his food as she walked along the streets of downtown Seoul. He inhaled, growling deeply. It felt like it had been ages since his last feeding, when really it had only been a few days. He used the shadows to blend in and sneak into different alleyways as he got closer to the girl.

As she passed the last alleyway, Jungkook grabbed a hold of her, breaking her neck before she had time to utter a scream. He fed until he was sure he drained every bit of blood out of her body, and just left her there, cold and dead.

Hani closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath, before lifting her hands up, she could feel the objects in front of her shaking. She was trying to practice levitation. A sudden noise caused her to break her concentration, the items clashing to the ground.

She cursed as she got up, going to the door. She didn’t open it though, just flicked her wrist, the door opening itself. Of course, there was no one there. She sighed and closed the door before going to sit back down, trying to pick up where she left off.

Reun concentrated on her chanting before she lifted off the ground, remaining in the same position. Suddenly, her head went backwards, and her eyes opened, revealing they had been only irises. She couldn't do this at home, couldn't show the girls in her sisterhood what she had been doing. They'd all thought she was just connected to the Earth, but she was doing a hell of a lot more than just making flowers grow. She hid her abilities at home, so nobody would know, risking her place in the sisterhood. Black magic was strictly forbidden. Along with fraternization of other supernatural entities.

Blood began pouring out of her mouth and nose, her body barely able to withstand the ritual, but this is what empowered her. As she got older, the stronger she would grow, and this would be child's play. The dead body, strategically placed ten feet in front of her, began to dissolve into the ground; an offering for the goddesses, and incentive to give her stronger powers.

Jimin used the shadow to travel back to the old abandoned house him and his brothers stayed at. They weren't really related, but changed by the same master vampire. In their eyes, that made them brothers, family. Technically, they all had that same vampires blood running through their veins.

The house had been abandoned long ago, and thanks to numerous rumors of it's haunting, nobody ever went near the place. He was the first one back, finding the place completely empty, until Taehyung showed up not long after with blood all over his face. "You're so messy," Jimin joked, using the sleeve of his shirt to clean his face.

Hani began putting her things up, realizing it was almost dinner time. She had to get supper started. She wondered when Reun would be back, but decided to make her her favorite anyways. She would use her mind to alert to her that dinner was ready once it was done.

She hummed a song as she began cooking. Even though Reun and her didn’t live in the sisterhood anymore, they still met them weekly for updates. Hani was worried about Re lately, she had been acting weird and Hani knew she would have to sit down and have a talk with her before the next meeting.

Taehyung smiled, “Thanks hyung.” He said as Jungkook and Hoseok walked in, soon the rest of their brothers returned and Jungkook gave them all a smile. “Another successful night.” He said, wiping the remaining blood off of his face.

“Jungkook, did you dispose of the body correctly this time?” Namjoon asked. Jungkook shook his head, seeing his brothers’ groan. “You idiot, you’re going to get us caught again.” Yoongi said. Jungkook pouted, “I’m sorry, I was just overcome with hunger.”

Reun levitated for a few moment, feeling her body absorb something new, something she hadn't felt before, before she came crashing down on to the ground, all of the candles flickering out at once. She used the back of her hand to wipe away the blood from her face; if she had been human, she would have felt lightheaded. Because she was a witch, the loss of blood didn't phase her. The only difficult thing would be getting back into the house without Hani seeing her like this. Despite Reun's calm, collected personality, Hani could see right through her lies. She'd also learned at a very young age that witches do not lie to other witches, remembering watching her close friend being burned at the stake.

She was able to travel through the breeze, almost as if jumping into it and traveling like a balloon. Before she knew it, she was back at the small house she shared with Hani. She climbed through her window and cleaned off her face in her bathroom before changing and joining her friend for dinner. "Kimchi fried rice," she said, happily digging in. Hani had been an amazing cook.

"Don't worry," Jimin patted Jungkook on the back, "You'll get there." With Jungkook being the youngest, the rest of the guys felt a responsibility to look after him, especially because he seemed to be fucking up a lot. "Tomorrow, I'll go out with you and we'll double team. I'll make sure everything goes smooth."

"We really don't want to have to move again," Namjoon said, heavy context between his voice. It was a warning to Jungkook to get his shit together. "Jin, Taehyung, go find the body, clean it up before anybody else sees it."

“Did you have fun in the woods?” Hani smiled as they sat down to eat. She was planning on having the talk with Reun after dinner, if nothing fucked it up before then.

“I’m still working on my levitation, I can get small things to move but nothing bigger than the coffee pot or the tea kettle.” Hani sighed.

“Okay, daddy.” Taehyung snickered and moved out of the way as Joon tried to hit him. He loved teasing their leader. He left with Jin to go find the body that Jungkook had left.

Jungkook nodded at Jimin, “Okay hyung.” He said as he looked at Namjoon. “I’ll try better, Joonie hyung, I promise.” He said, giving him a slight bow.

"Try expanding your core out to the objects, and focus on keeping them calm and peaceful," Reun offered, ignoring her question about the woods. The less she had to lie around Hani, the better. "That is the only thing that helped me." Reum knew they had a meeting with the sisterhood tonight, really just to check in on everybody. She was always worried about these meetings, because she was treading such a fine line between being caught and keeping her magic a secret.

"One day you're really going to need his help, and are you really going to refer to him as 'daddy' or 'Joonie hyung' then," Jimin joked, plopping down on the crappy couch they had found already in the house. At this point, Jungkook was just being tolerated by the master's orders, but Namjoon was close to kicking him out of their group. He could go out on his own and get caught, it didn't matter much to the rest of them.

Hani nodded. “I’ll try that, thanks Re.” She said as she finished eating and got their empty dishes and put them in the sink. “I suppose we should get ready. We have to meet at midnight.” She said, before walking upstairs to her room. She showered before looking at her clothes, trying to decide the perfect outfit. She finally decided on something and was just going to wear her boots and cloak with it.

Jungkook sat down beside Jimin. “What do you suppose I should call him, hyung?” He asked, clearly annoyed. “Taehyung only calls him daddy because he has a crush on him. Oops, did I say that out loud.” Jungkook snickered.

Reum decided to shower at the same time as Hani, even though she had already changed. Every witch in the sisterhood had one thing in common, they loved dressing up for their meetings. They weren't stereotypical witches, but boy, was it fun to dress up like one. Reum put on a dress she had really loved, also wearing chunky platform boots and a black cloak.

Jimin smirked at Taehyung, knowing that despite how much he denied it, they all knew it was true. Namjoon had become uncomfortable with the conversation, and once again left the house. After all, it was still night, which is when they loved to play.

"We should go out," Jimin offered to Taehyung and Jungkook. "The night's just began, there's no reason for us to sit inside."

“Ooh, Reum, you look sexy.” Hani complimented her friend when she saw the outfit she had chosen. “Maybe we can go for drinks after the meeting?” She suggested to the fellow witch. “Or if you don’t want to go to the bar, we can come back here and drink wine and watch cheesy rom coms.” She giggled.

“Let’s go. Hobi, Yoongi, you want to come?” Jungkook asked. “Sure.” Hobi said and stood up. “Yoongi hyung?” He asked the older vampire. “Nah. I’ve had my fun, I’m going to sleep now.” Yoongi said. “How are you even a vampire?” Jungkook teased. Yoongi just rolled his eyes and shrugged.

Reum twirled around for Hani to show her the outfit. "Why not both?" She plopped down on the couch next to her friend, "We go for drinks, then we come back and drink more while watching a movie?" Reum liked that idea, happy to share her evening with her house mate. She wondered if they'd meet any guys out at the bar; just because she was a witch doesn't mean she didn't have an interest in a romantic relationship. The issue is she could peer into mortal minds, and what she usually heard disgusted her.

"So, clubbing?" Jimin asked, shaking his hips at Hoseok, "Or more food?" He asked, getting up into Taehyung's face.

"I mean, we could go clubbing and find food there?" Taehyung suggested, which seemed to be popular among the guys.

"Now I can drink as much Soju as I want and I won't even get drunk," Hoseok chimed, happy.

"Your face still gets red, though, hyung," Taehyung pointed out, poking at Hobi's cheek.

Hani smiled. “Sounds good to me.” She said, checking the time. “I guess we better get going.” She said. It takes them a little over an hour to get to the spot and the head witch didn’t like it when anyone was late.

“Soju?” Yoongi asked, perking up. “Let’s go get some beers.” He said. “Of course that would get his attention.” Jungkook chuckled, as the rest of the boys started walking out of the house.

Reum wanted to just jump into the wind and travel that way; she'd be there in such a short time, but Hani didn't know she could do that yet. None of the other witches could, because black magic wasn't allowed and that was a gift she had gotten through doing just that.

"What do you think tonight's meeting will be about? I swear, if they bring up fundraisers again, I'm going solo," Reum joked. Well, half-joked. She was a witch, not a girl scout.

Jimin always enjoyed the time with his hyungs, especially getting to go out to the clubs and dancing. In his former life, before he was turned, he had partied a lot. He still did party a lot, especially since he slept all day and was up all night. "Jungkook, if you decide to go after anybody, make sure you come get me," Jimin instructed, not wanting the youngest to get them all in trouble. If Jungkook fucked up on his watch, they'd all get banned from going clubbing.

“I don’t know, I hope not.” Hani made a face as they walked. As they walked, they passed a group of boys who were headed in the opposite direction. Something about them was off, Hani could sense it, but she didn’t know what it was.

“Promise.” Jungkook smiled. They passed two girls as they were walking, all the boys turning to catch a second glance at them. “They smell different,” Jungkook whispered to Jimin, as the girls got further away.

Reum could feel the darkness that clouded the group of boys that they had passed, but couldn't put her finger on what it was. They definitely weren't warlocks; witches had a magnetic pull towards other witches and warlocks, but these guys didn't give off that pull. She knew of other supernatural entities that roamed the Earth; demons; faeries, vampires, shape shifters, even werewolves. Still, only a few other entities put off that kind of darkness.

Reum wondered if Hani knew about them, but didn't want to ask in case she didn't. She looked at her, and saw the look of confusion on her face. She could sense that something was different about them.

---

For the first time in a while, Jimin didn't have an answer. He could smell the difference too, but he didn't know what it was either. "Maybe their coke addicts," Jimin shrugged it off. Whatever that scent was, it wasn't exactly appealing to him. Actually, it almost smelled nasty to him.

"Hot coke addicts," Yoongi muttered.

“I don’t think they were humans.” Hani finally said as they reached the woods. “I think they were something else but I don’t know what.” She sighed and stopped talking about it as they approached their coven.

“I doubt they’re drug addicts. I’ve smelled that kind of smell before, a long time ago, but I can’t put my finger on it. Namjoon would know.” Seokjin said as they continued walking.

Reum didn't want to keep her friend in the dark about all of the things she knew had been in the world, and decided that if she loved her friend as much as she claimed, she would need to talk to her about what she'd been doing. She'd kept it a secret for so long because she knew Hani would disapprove, and she didn't want to put the burden of that secret on Hani's shoulders.

She'd have to keep the black magic a secret; that was something that could get her burned at the stake and she couldn't risk it, but she could tell her about everything else.

Those were vampires, she was sure of it, but she'd just never been around one before.

"Oh yeah?" Jimin asked Jin, "Is it a smelly kind of smell, that smells...smelly?" Jimin didn't really care about those girls anymore, he just wanted to go clubbing, get to a bar, something. "Next time that happens, we'll just kindly pull them aside and ask them 'Hey, why do you smell like that? Also, we're vampires.'"

"You don't have to be so sarcastic, Jimin," Yoongi said, "We're just curious. Humans all smell the same."

The meeting was long and boring, Hani almost fell asleep, if it wasn’t for Reum. Finally, it was over and the girls said goodbye to their coven before walking off towards town again. “So, club or bar?” Hani asked her friend with a smile.

Jin stopped suddenly, “well, I’ll be damned.” He said. “What?” Jungkook asked. “Those were witches. I knew I recognized that smell.” Jin said.

"Definitely club. We look too good for a bar, and I want to have some fun," Reum smiled. "There's something I need to talk to you about, so please just keep an open mind. Witches are not the only non-human things walking the Earth. That smell from earlier...those were vampires. They were created by witches practicing black magic. I forgot where I read about it, but that's what they were. That feeling you had around them, that was their darkness." She was hoping Hani wouldn't push into how she knew, that she would just take the 'studying' excuse.

"Witches?" Jimin asked, "Those actually exist?"

"Asked the vampire," Yoongi joked.

"Yes, but like I said, Joon probably knows more about it." Jin said.

"Very interesting," Hoseok said as they all walked into the club. Jimin couldn't help but think of that scene out of Blade whenever he was in a club full of humans, but they had to be careful. They couldn't leave a scene like that.
