THE “I’LL FINISH IT LATER” CHALLENGE
Almost everybody has one – a story that you started with such gusto that you were convinced you’d have it finished within a week, a story that you suddenly lost interest in. That same story is probably rotting away in your hard-drive, floundering around with half-finished one-shots and story ideas you thought up years ago. Occasionally, you might even open the document and write a few words for old time’s sake, before shutting it down and thinking “I’ll finish it later”.
We owe it to these stories – the stories left untold – to finish them. We owe it to them to wipe away the rust and write until our fingers bleed. I am challenging as many Mibbians as possible to pick a story – any story, any length – that they’ve forgotten and finish it by the time 2019 draws to a close. You can focus on one story, or complete more than one – the only stipulation is that it must be an existing story. Nothing new allowed!
To join, simply create a post in this thread to track your progress. Each story completed by the end of the year will receive a comment and a recommendation.
