Dean chuckled and shook his head as he pulled his iPod out and put his earbuds in. He turned on his K-pop station and leaned back. He kept the volume low enough so he could hear Alec if he tried to talk to him.

Alec leaned back in his seat, opening the book to the first page and started reading. He hadn’t read this book in a few months and now he’s going to reread it before moving on to read the rest of the series. He hasn’t read the rest of the series yet because he kept getting distracted by other books.

Dean bobbed his head to the music, looking over at Alec. “So what’s the book about?” He asked him.

‘It’s a mythical series about dragons and their dragon riders, elves, dwarfs. It’s an interesting read. The arthur Christopher Paolini wrote the first book when he was in high school?’

“Oh nice.” Dean smiled. “I’m glad you’re a bookworm.” He chuckled. He wasn’t much of a reader but he would read some things.

‘Remember I used to get in trouble for reading in class. I got my books taken away, I’ve been told to put them away. I loved reading, I still do. It’s exciting when you start reading an interesting book. You get lost inside their world, you feel what they do, you learn what makes up a character, their strengths and weaknesses, what they want, basically who they are. It’s a different experience with each book.’

“I wish I could get into reading as much as you do. I guess I’m more of the music guy though, I feel the same way about listening to bands as you do about reading, okay, well, maybe not the exact same thing, but you get what I mean.” Dean chuckldd.

‘I do,’ Alec smiled before looking back down at his book. He wished the movie was like the book. The movie wasn’t bad but the book was much better, more detail, things were drawn out so that they didn’t feel rushed and the story flowed better but Hollywood wants to Hollywood things up so because not everybody is into reading as much as he is but that’s okay. He smiles as he reads through the first few chapters, all the details coming back to him as he rereads it.

Dean closed his eyes as he leaned his head back and let out a soft sigh. Soon he was asleep, his head leaning to the side some to rest on Alec’s shoulder as he snored softly.

Alec turned and smiled at him. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the same man from earlier coming out of the bathroom before falling to the floor and start shaking. Alec stood up, waking Dean as he stood, ‘is there a doctor here? Somebody help him!!’

Dean pulled Alec back as someone came running over to the man. Soon chaos erupted as the man seemed to turn crazy and attacked the other man who was trying to help him.

Alec shielded Dean, pulling him behind him, ‘what the hell is going on?’ Alec’s heart was beating fast and loud.

“I don’t know but we better go hide before we’re next.” Dean said, grabbing his bag. Once Alec had his bag, the two climbed over the seats and made their way for the first bathroom, deciding to hide in there until whatever was going on stopped.

People were screaming and trying to fight against the crazy people who were trying to attack them while others hid and hoped the crazed wouldn’t find them. Alec held Dean close when someone started banging on the door. They heard weird breathing and scratching noises too. What the hell was happening?

Dean didn’t say anything, just pressed his foot against the door to hold it closed. Soon the banging stopped but they could hear people going crazy still. “What’s going on?” He asked Alec.

‘I don’t know. That guy at the airport didn’t look right. He was unnaturally pale, had blotches all over any inch of skin I could see, had a distant almost glazed over look in his eye and when we walked past him, his breathing was a bit off. I asked him if he was okay and he said yes. I don’t think he was but I don’t know what the hell was wrong with him.’

“This is kind of like out of those zombie movies my brother and I watch.” Dean gulped. “You don’t think? No, that’s only in the movies..” he quickly shook the thought from his head.

‘Zombies don’t exist. That man couldn’t have been a zombie,’ Alec couldn’t stop thinking about what Dean said being a possibility even as he said what he did.

Dean nodded, “I know.” He said. The plane began to shake and Dean grabbed onto Alec. “Are we crashing?!” He freaked out.

Alec cried out when the plane suddenly tilted downwards, causing him to stumble and hit the side of the countertop, ‘fuck,’ he hissed out.
