Wake Me Up

Haewon sighed as she entered the apartment that her and her boyfriend Yongguk shared. She wasn’t surprised when she saw him passed out on the couch with another woman laying beside him. She pulled the woman up, grabbing her clothes and shoving her out the door of their apartment and locked it.

She then began cleaning up the empty beer cans and the takeout boxes that were left out. She looked over as her boyfriend woke up, but she didn’t say anything, just continued to clean.

Jongup opened his eyes whenever he heard the front door to his apartment open and he cursed. He quickly woke the woman up that was in his bed and told her to leave though the fire escape.

Once she was gone, he made the bed before throwing the used condoms away and changing his clothes. He walked into the bathroom and sprayed some cologne and brushed his teeth before going into the living room. “Welcome back.” He said to his girlfriend.

Yongguk rolled his eyes as he watched Haewon was ignoring him while cleaning up. He really didn't care that she caught him cheating on her, because it was her fault that she wouldn't do thing that would please him. Getting up from the couch and stood behind his girlfriend, Yongguk roughly grabbed a fistful of her hair, forcing her yo look at him. "The room better be spotless and dinner be ready and cooked to perfection by the time I'm out of the shower. Hopefully you can be useful for once." He demanded before shoving her as he let her go.

Yes had arrived home to the apartment she shared with her boyfriend, exhausted from working an unexpected double shift. She dropped her work bags on the floor and immediately went into the kitchen with take out from Jongup's favorite restaurant since she was too tired to make dinner. She had hope that he was in a good mood and would be okay with takeout tonight instead of her cooking. Recently Yezi had been afraid to make any sudden movement since Jongup tend to snap easily which ends up him abusing her, usually it was physical. Hearing him greet her, Yezi's body tensed slightly out of habit and of fear. "H-hey...I uh brought dinner. I'll fix your plate if you are hungry..." She said, not making any eye contact with him.

Haewon rubbed her arm as she watched her boyfriend leave the room. She finished picking up the living room before going into the kitchen and sighing. He had forgotten to go grocery shopping, again. It was one thing she asked Yongguk to do, since she worked so many hours, and he couldn’t even do it.

She decided to just order from their favorite take out and once she placed the order, she went upstairs to change her clothes. She looked over as he walked into the room with just a towel on. “I ordered take out, since we didn’t have anything to make..” she said, trying to word it correctly so it didn’t seem like she was blaming him which would set him off.

Jongup nodded, “Sounds good.” He said. “I’ll take a beer too.” He said, before sitting down on the couch, propping his feet on the coffee table, as he grabbed the television remote and turned it on, finding a drama to watch while he waited for Yezi to get his food.

Yezi nodded silently and went to grab him a beer and his food. Although she hated when Jongup drank, Yezi knew not to say anything about his drinking or else she would receive another bruise to add to the collection that is already littered on her body. "H-here you g-go" she said as she handed him his requested items. "Do you n-need me to do anything else?" She asked, her eyes still avoided looking at his. To say she was scared of her boyfriend, was an understatement. Yezi always felt like she was walking on eggshells whenever she would approach him, never knowing what would set him off.

Yongguk finished his shower twenty minutes later and walked into their bedroom. He saw Haewon was in the room as soon as he walked in. He then leaned against the door with his arms crossed against his chest, trying to keep his anger down. "Can you do anything right for once?! You cook, you need to make sure the fridge is stock. " His voice began to raise but he stopped himself with an annoyed sigh. "You better have ordered the right meal." He demanded and walked away.

“For you to go away.” Jongup shooed her away with his hand. He started eating and drinking his beer as he turned on an anime he’s been watching lately. When he was done eating, he yelled for his girlfriend.

“Here.” Jongup said, basically thrusting his empty takeout boxes and beer can into her hands.

Haewon looked down, knowing it wasn’t her fault, she knew she asked Yongguk to go shopping this time because she had a busy work schedule this past week and even this week. She knew if she said that though, he’d go off on her and she was trying to prevent that.

“I’m sorry, I’ve just been busy with work but I’ll go tomorrow...I’m off..” Haewon said as she followed him out of the room and downstairs.

Yezi frowned as her boyfriend told her to go away then to just call her back later on and shoved his now empty plate at her. Jongup has been treating her more like his maid than his girlfriend and Yezi hated that, but she also didnt know why he became so cold to her. After washing the dishes and putting away the left overs in the fridge, Yezi walked back into the living room and sat next to Jongup as he watched the anime series. She leaned closer to him, hoping he would cuddle with her.

"Shut up with the excuses. I don't give a damn about you being busy with work. You are still responsible to make sure the house is clean, the fridge and pantry is stocked and dinner is ready for me at all times." He growled, getting really annoyed with her. "Get out of my face and do something useful for once. Or are you to stupid to do anything right." He insulted as he pushed her aside when he was trying to watch tv.
