Unexpected Love

Steve felt bad. He sighed, going to sit on her couch, ‘I never can get things right with women. I messed up countless times on dates you set up for me, I couldn’t talk to Peggy without messing up countless times, the same thing with her granddaughter and now with Ella. It’s like I’m cursed with not being able to do the right thing or say the right thing when it comes to the opposite sex.’

Bucky sat down next to him, ‘I know. That much I can remember,’ he teased.

‘Bucky...’

‘I’m sorry,’ Bucky smiled.

‘I can make myself look normal,’ she closed her eyes and a moment later, her hair turned black, her skin tannish and her lips a rosy red before she opened them, ‘see.’

Ella couldn’t help it, she just wanted Steve to like her, the way Bucky seemed to like and care for her. She cried silently in the tub, “ugh I am such a cliche,” she mumbled. After her long bath, Ella got out and put on a long T-shirt and some panties before walking back out. “I guess I’m calling a night, good night.” Ella managed to squeak out before going in her room.

Ella sighed softly lying on her back in bed, she wanted to ask him all kinds of questions but she guess Steve didn’t want to open his heart to her. Which Ella felt weird about because she shared a lot of personal stored with them.

Carol had totally forgotten about this, “wow I forgot you can do that, I wouldn’t have you doing that all day though it’s exhausting. » I prefer you minty green” she smirked .

Bucky got up and knocked on her door before poking his head in, ‘Okay let me explain about Steve. It’s not that he doesn’t want to open his heart to you. It’s that he’s a big moron who really can’t speak to women without messing up. He could barely talk when he asked me out. I love him but when it comes to romantic things, it’s like he can’t function. He needs help.’

She smiled, letting herself change back to her normal look, ‘your so sweet,’ she told Carol, blushing, ‘but I’ve actually been able to do that for weeks or months on end. It can be exhausting but I don’t do it often which helps.’

Ella jumped when Bucky pokes his head she shook her in amusement. She stared at Bucky, “let me ask you this..” she sat up straight and looked at Bucky, “if I kiss him, is he going to react the same way you did?” She laughed a bit. “I kinda enjoy leaving you speechless” she teased. “Well, obviously not anymore.”

Carol smiled “I just care a lot about you and people down there can be really cruel I just don’t want them to say anything mean. I might blast them into space” she laughed. “Ohh okay. Well when weeee alone you can be yourself then:”

‘He might go bright red and gape like a fish for a few moments trying to regain his motor functions,’ Bucky told her leaning against the frame of her door, smirking. He could hear Steve in the background yelling his name and telling him to not embarrass him. Bucky just smirked, ‘oh you know I’ve been embarrassing you since the 40s man but you know I love you.’

She smiled, ‘thankyou,’ she smiled. She was feeling very happy and very victorious that she had won that one, ‘I am very excited and I cannot wait until I can try the earth food and the milkshakes.’

Ella bit her lip fighting back a laugh and she let out a giggle, “okay. If I’m being honest with you I really want to kiss both of you..” she blushed deeply. Standing up, “okay let’s see if you’re right..” she giggled softly and walked out the door. Sitting next to Steve, “hey, I’m sorry I’ve been so cold towards you, I just didn’t think you liked me..” she put her fingers up indicated to let her finish. “I get it Steve I really do, Bucky was just telling me..that you’re not good at talking to pretty women or women in general, but I want to make you feel comfortable so..” she leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his lips pulling back with a soft smile on her face.

Carol chuckled, “you’re going to love ice cream I already know, it’s cold and sweet what’s not to love about it. We should plan this trip” she nodded. Kissing her hands gently.

Steve looked at her, his cheeks bright red and mouth gaping like a fish, trying to speak to her but no words would come out. He was trying to say something but he couldn’t. He could just stare at her, gape and blush.

‘I told you that is exactly what he would do,’ Bucky smiled at her.

She blushed, ‘okay. So where are we going to stay when we get there? What are we going to see? What are we going to do first?’ She started asking question after question, excited.

Ella blushed and let out a soft giggle escape her pink lips, she reached to touch his blushing face. “You’re so cute” she leaned to kiss him again, then stood up to give Bucky a soft kiss. “You two make my heart flutter,”

Carol laughed “you’re so cute and we’ll probably stay with my friend and her daughter she’ll think your cool.. we are going to see where I grew up, play some games let you try foods..”

Steve’s blush darkened even more and he looked down at his lap. He still couldn’t form any words to say anything to her. All that came out was attempted words and sentences. Bucky smirked from his spot by the end of the couch, ‘you okay there Steve?’

‘I...um...I...s-she...’

Bucky smirked, ‘Steve baby are you okay?’

Steve looked at Bucky then at her then back down at his lap.

‘That sounds wonderful. I’d love to meet them. They sound nice and I’d love to see where you grew up and try all the wonderful food and drinks. Oh I’m going to have so much fun. I want to go now.’

Ella bit her lip and reached for Steve’s hand, “hey, if you didn’t like it I’m sorry I won’t do it again unless you want me to okay?” Ella could tell Steve wasn’t used to this kind of attention. “You want me to leave?”

Carol chuckled shaking her head “you’re so cute you know that right? Like your excitement is beyond adorable” she grinned.

‘No I don’t want you to leave,’ he told her finally able to construct complete sentences again, ‘and I liked it but as Bucky told you and embarrassed me was I’m not good with talking to women and even asking Bucky out was really difficult even though I wanted to so badly.’

‘So can we go now?’ Angelic bounced up and down like a five year old child, she was so excited. She has never left her home planet before and to do so excited her more than anything else in the world, well almost anything. Carol was more exciting than seeing earth.

Ella’s face soften, reaching out to touch Steve again, “you don’t have to be nervous around me, you’ve seen me right? I’m clumsy and goofy I just happen to be a woman .. who is attracted to the both of you? I’m an awful person”

Carol laughed shaking her head, she was too damn cute, “all right but we gotta make sure to leave the planet in safe hands. Then we can go okay?”

Bucky looked at her, ‘Ella if Steve is okay with this, would you like to join our relationship? You haves helped me so much in the past few months. I’m barely having any episodes because of you. You calm me down each time I did and now I barely have them but still whenever I do, your there. I would like it if you became a part of my relationship with Steve but only if he’s okay with it.’

‘I am,’ Steve said nervously, still blushing, ‘I would really like you to join my relationship with Bucky, Ella.’

‘My team of advisers, royal guard, and Silver can watch the planet. I trust them to do the job and to protect our world. They know what to do. We’ve all grown up, trained and learned together. Trust me Carol.’

It was Ella’s turn to blush, they really wanted to do this, she had never been in a relationship like this. She nodded “I would like that; I mean this is new to me so you’ll have to explain it to me.. is just like a normal relationship?”

She sat closer to Steve as Bucky took a seat next to her, she smiled widely, “You two have made me so happy.. I’m glad I could help you.:”

Carol nodded she was just worried. She did that a lot, not a lot of these planets have heroes and she wanted to make sure they’d be okay. “Okay I guess let’s pack up then?”

‘Yes it’s like a normal relationship just with an extra person that the other two love just as much as each other. I feel really strongly about you Ella. I wouldn’t say I love you just yet but I really really like you and I think with a bit more time, I will love you just like I love Steve,’ Bucky smiled at her.

Angelic beamed as she ran off toward her cottage in excitement. She came back a few moments later, taking Carol’s hand before running off toward her cottage again.

Ella nodded, “okay,” she snuggled up against the both of them, “this is all new to me so I’m not even sure how to act.” She laughed, holding both their hands. “So you guys.. what did you want to do?”

Carol couldn’t stop giggling this woman was driving her crazy but in the best way. Carol loved her but wasn’t going to tell Angel just yet. Too early,!still she cared so deeply for Angelic,

‘I don’t know. What do you want to do?’ Bucky looked at Ella, squeezing her hand lightly with his nonmetal arm.

‘We can always tell you what the forties were like,’ Steve smiled lightly.

She pulled Carol into her cottage, rushing around, grabbing things to take with her. Enough outfits to last a month, toothbrush and toothpaste and some other necessary items and things she wanted to bring with her before finally stopping and looking at Carol, ‘I’m ready.’

Ella beamed, “yeah, tell me about your golden age era” she giggled. Biting her lip, “fill me in on all the forties slang and everything,” she pressed her head against Steve’s shoulder.

Carol couldn’t believe how fast she did that, Angelic had been wanting to travel outside her home more. This was going to be quite the trip though earth was kind of far away. “All right is we’re set let’s go.”

‘Well back then Bucky would have called you a beautiful dame which means your a beautiful woman. If we called somebody cheesy, that meant they were cheap. If we said that you had Moxie, it meant you had courage or really strong nerves to do something,’ Steve looked at Bucky to continue.

‘If we asked you what’s buzzin cousin, that meant how’s it going. If we told you that you were a jive bomber, it meant your a good dancer. When we asked for the lettuce, we were talking about money. Snap your cap meant you were angry or got angry. A swigger was a drinker. There’s a lot more.’

Angelic beamed as she walked outside with her small bag that fit everything she put in it. It was a huge bag inside a small bag. A friend of hers gave it to her a long time ago. She had gotten it from a magic realm. It was a very handy bag, especially on a trip. You could pack your whole place inside the bag. It was great.

Ella listened and nodded, “wow, so much to take in, but awesome stuff” she nodded. Ella bit her lip, “so what do you guys like about the 21st century?” Ella was very smitten with these two, she couldn’t help herself. They were both gorgeous she let out a yawn, “oh no I can’t be getting tired “ she laughed

Carol smiled “what a small.. bag..” she smiled but remembered what Angelic has told her. “Never mind figured it out “ carol chuckled getting into her ship, “okay lets do this!”
