Ezra sighed and nodded, “I guess that was s stupid thing for me to say,” it was obvious they were friends and Evie didn’t want to mess things up with Ella bit what did he know? He pulled Evie closer to her and pressed his lips against hers.

“I want to stay... let me text her real quick.” Ezra grabbed his phone and started messaging Ella, coming up with some bullshit excuse.

Evie smiled in the mirror as she finished applying her deep red lipstick before heading out to the living room. "How do I look" she asked Ezra with a soft laugh as she twirled around in her new Dress. One of her friends had just got engaged, and she was looking forward to bringing Ezra to the party with her and showing him off. She knew several of her mates were surprised to hear she was beginning to settle down with someone but she had good feelings about him.

Ezra looked in the mirror making sure he didn’t have a hair out of place, he had just shaved so he was good to go. His tux was a navy blue that matched his tie. He wasn’t usually such a formal dress type guy but this was for a ln engagement party so he hoped this wasn’t too over the top. He walked out after spraying some cologne. Ezra walked out and smiled at Evie, “yeah babe you look great.”

He walked over to her placing his hands on her hips, pulling her close “do I look okay to you?”

"You look great Ez, and you smell better" she commented with a soft chuckle, placing a gentle kiss on his lips not wanting to smudge her lipstick. "Although... Maybe lose the jacket and tie? It's not too formal" she told him kindly, gently unwrapping her arms from around him and fixing her hair.

She could feel slight nerves settling in, she really hoped everyone likes Ezra. She was also a little paranoid that people at the party would know Ella and how her and Him had broken up. She tried to shake the thought from her head plastering on a bright smile.
