Matty was currently over an hour late to the tattoo shop but it was Monday and dreary and that accounted for his mood and being slightly hung over wasn't helping either but that's another issue for another time. He had lost his phone somewhere within the cabin or the vast countryside that surrounded the property. He sipped the hot coffee in his hand as he pulled open the shop door with the other and George was sitting at the reception counter.

"I called you like a fuckton of times."

Matty rolled his eyes."I've lost my phone."

"New guy's suppose to be arriving today."

Matty nodded as he sat his coffee down."I liked his portfolio." He shrugged as they were such a close crew and welcoming anyone new was an affair but the shop was becoming more well known and the demand of customers was overwhelming so it was needed to add another artist.

"Hey." Her voice rang down the hall, her eyes roaming the now empty entryway. A soft sigh leaving her lips. Shaking her head she knew she'd be making a stop by his shop. Alvina dropping the black book down on the table before she headed back to her room to dress. Tate her boy friend of two years had convinced her to move out here for his job. She didn't mind it that much though she was the one footing the bill till he could get back on his feet. But that's what you did for the ones you loved. However she still couldn't get over the nagging voice in the back of her mind telling her he wasn't ever going to change.

Shaking her thoughts away she moved to her closet and pulled out some cloths for the day. After pulling her shirt over her head she grabbed a pair of black skinny jeans and squeezed her way into then. Happy with her choice of clothing she grabbed his book he headed out the door and set off for his shop. She knew he didn't like it when she crowded around the shop he worked at, but she'd been thinking about getting some ink for a while so she figured why not look into the guys there and see if she liked their stuff. The distance to the shop was a quick one as they'd chosen an apartment location based on the location.

Stepping through the doors she smiled brightly. Receiving a greeting from the guys in shop. "Hey." She breathed out softly, before noticing Tate already chilling with the guys around the shop. "You're an idiot." She told him before tossing his book at him.

The afternoon had been pretty slow and Matty sat in the front lounge area with his feet propped up on a table as he browsed the internet while George showed Tate, the new guy, around their shop and how they chose to operate which wasn't anything out of the ordinary like most shops so at least he wasn't some newbie who had never worked in a real shop before.

The door flew open and a girl came in and chucked a book toward Tate and Matty couldn't help but let out a startled laugh with wide eyes as he closed the laptop and sat it on the table in front of him, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees.

A light laugh left her lips as Tate barely managed to catch the book. "I yelled at you letting you know you dropped it." She'd found it outside the door of the apartment. It was important enough that if someone else found it they could steal his work. "Yeah I thought I left it." He said before getting up and heading over to George. "Yeah so this was what I was talking about." He said to the other male as they started to get into his art.

Rolling her eyes Alvina, turned letting her eyes trail over the walls and all the display of art. She loved that every time she entered a shop there was something new and interesting to find. Moving around she brushed off the fact that he'd not bothered to talk with her. After all she wasn't as important as his work. And she couldn't really remember the last time they actually showed they liked each other. She felt like she was just with him out of obligation. Waiting till he was able to take care of himself before she decided what she'd do with her own life. Grabbing one of the books on the table she started flipping through the work. Wonder who's book would just be laying around carelessly.

Matty watched as the girl sat on the opposite sofa and could tell from the book in her hands, it was all his work and for some reason, it intrigued him of what she thought about his work. He glanced to George who was still in a in depth conversation about Tate's book so he stood up and wiped his hands on his skinny jeans as he sat next to her."See anything interesting?" He asked her as he drummed his fingers on the table.

Alvina pulled her eyes from the book to look to the person next to her. "Your work I take it?" She asked as she continued to look through it. Not feeling like she needed to validate his work for him. However he had asked her a questioned, "some." She said not knowing the love of drawing like him and Tate. But she loved the way tattoos looked on human flesh, or they way the told stories. "Do you free hand?" She questioned him, wondering if she could trust him to make her a piece or not. After all trusting someone to put art on your body usually wasn't a big issue for most people. But for her she had to live with it for the rest of her life. And even though Tate had offered to do free ink for her. She didn't trust him enough for that, also she didn't want to have a piece on her body that reminded her of him if they ever ended. So she wasn't about to let him do that. Also she knew that most people wouldn't attempt to free hand as it was hard.

Matty nodded as he watched her flip through the book."I do a lot of free hand, why? Are you interested in something?" He asked even though he was really curious as to why she didn't let Tate who he assumed was her boyfriend if the display from earlier was anything to go by and he was wondered how his new co-worker would feel if it was him doing work on his girlfriend.

A sight bob of the head answered his question of her wanting to get work done. However she didn’t have any idea what she wanted. She just knew she wanted to get inked. There was so many thing she wanted to get done but narrowing them down was her issue. “I’ve been looking into getting a new piece,” She started before looking at him. “Finding an artist who’s piece I want on my body is difficult.” She told him, hoping he’d understand why she was curious of his work and not looking to her boyfriend to get worked from. “Because honestly any douche can tattoo, it takes an artist to satisfy.” She smirked at him.
