‘Babe are you okay?’ Jake asked his wife when he saw her tense and the annoyance in her eyes as she turned to go to their car with Emily following behind them.

Kayla got into the car but not before Emily explained that she’d follow them in her own car. “Okay.”

Kayla started the car and pulled out of the parking lot. Driving in silence, well rhe radio turned on.

‘I’m not trying to play the victim Kayla,’ he felt really bad and she wasn’t making him feel any better. He didn’t know why she was so damn angry. He just looked out the window, watching the buildings, trees, cars, houses and businesses pass them by as she drove.

Kayla stopped and parked somewhere, getting out, “here you take her somewhere.” She threw the keys at him and walked away. More like running away.”
