"Everything is fine," Dean reassured Hannah, "I was just wondering what Sam and Layla were up to... It's a really bad time, but I worry about my brother." He hoped that she understood, Sam wasn't normally on his mind after sex and he knew that the fact he was must mean something.

"I'm not the sort of girl that throws herself at guys, but I've had a few flings in the past and each time it's always felt as though the feelings weren't mine," Layla explained, "Kissing you... that was all me and I'm just worried that it won't stay that way for long. I want to be present for this one, I want the feelings to be mine and mine alone."

Hannah nodded in understanding, looking up at him. "Do you need to go check on him?" she asked softly. Of course she wanted to stay in bed with him. She didn't want this feeling to go away since she wasn't sure how long it would last. They had a connection but he was a hunter and she was monster. She felt tears began to build behind her eyes, a few stray ones falling at the thought of her being a monster and him leaving her for that reason. Maybe this was a mistake.

Sam listened to her words carefully. "I understand that. I feel a connection with you Layla, a connection I have never felt before. I promise to do whatever to help you" he said before leaning in and gently kissing her cheek. He hoped his words brought comfort and some ease to her doubts.

"I think we're okay for a little longer," Dean added, kissing Hannah's head sweetly and tightening his hold on her, "Why are you crying?"

"What about Hannah?" Layla inquired with a frown, looking over at Sam and noticing a man watching them from a distance, "Sam, I think we're being watched... definitely a hunter."

Hannah looked up at him when he asked her why she was crying. "I am a monster and I feel you may leave me again because of it" she admitted softly as she looked up at him. She was vulnerable right now and she was scared to lose him again

Sam was confused when she brought up Hannah. "What do you mean?" he asked her. Before he could figure out what she was talking about, he heard her mentioned they were being watched. "Stand up and walk with me. Act natural" he said as he got up and grabbed her hand, leading her towards the motel.

"I'm not going anywhere," Dean promised without hesitation, "You're not a monster, Hannah... you're someone who just happens to be different and that's okay. I've seen monsters, Sam and I have sent them back to the pits of hell, none of them remind me of you."

Layla tightened her grip on Sam's hand, anger boiling in her chest and the urge to attack the hunter strong... but she wasn't going to do that. She refused to be a monster... she refused to give in to the darkness that was always lurking on the edge of her mind and perhaps Sam was the one to help her with that.

Hannah nodded, pushing her fears aside. She hunted monsters too and always protected humans. When she needed to feed, she only fed enough to keep her satisfied but not enough to kill them. She kissed him gently. “Okay I trust you” she said softly.

Sam walked with her, trying to act natural. He was going to defend Layla from this hunter. “Is there a place we can hide near by?” He asked as they lost the hunter for now in a park.

Dean smiled, all he wanted was for her to trust him and he knew that, although she'd said it, it would take time for her to truly trust him.

"I know a place," Layla stated, "Let's go."

Hannah relaxed in his arms. “Do you think we could relax for a little bit?” She asked. She was feeling a little tired.

Sam nodded and followed her closely, keeping her hand inside his.

"Of course," Dean replied with a grin, kissing the side of her head and tightening his hold on her a little.

The house soon came into few and Layla led him round the back, pulling him through a door at the back. At first glance the place looked abandoned, but then hushed voices reached his ears and he realized that there were people scattered all around.

Hannah closed her eyes as she tried to relax. She knew that there would be hunters coming so it worried her.

Sam followed her inside the house. He looked around, figuring out that this was her nest. He didn’t want any trouble.

"Layla," came a familiar voice, causing her to turn around and smile, "It's been a while?"

"I know," Layla replied with a sad smile, "This is Sam, we need somewhere to lay low... just for an hour or two."

"Anything we can do to help?" another voice asked from behind them.

"We don't need anything from you, Lucius," Layla practically growled in response.

Dean listened to Hannah's breathing as she relaxed, tracing patterns on her skin and allowing his mind to wander. It had been a while since they'd heard from Sam or Layla, and he was beginning to get worried.
