Arielle clasped her hands together tightly in her lap as she looked out of the plane window. They were beginning to descend now into vampire territory. How in the seven Hells did her parents think that this was a good idea? Marrying her off to their sworn enemy for some fake sign at peace. Humans and vampires had been fighting for as long as she could remember, and some marriage was not going to fix that. In fact, Madeline thought that it would only make the divide worse.

Unlike her family, Arielle was sure that this would be the death of her. Somehow, it was her parents belief that they would treat her well. And despite her fears, her begging, her fighting, or any of her other attempts of convincing them, they continued to believe it. But to Arielle, this all felt like a death sentence. Maybe it was a trap by the royal vampires themselves. Once they had her, there would be little her family could do for a while. They could easily kill her, the next in line for the human throne. Or, maybe, his own people would kill her in retaliation. It was not unlikely, considering the public on both sides did not like the idea of their lines mixing with the other.

Yet, it was her parents' attempt at peace with them, and her attempts to stop it had been futile, for now. Arielle would continue to try once she was in the Dawn's grasp. But, for today, it was best to stay quiet and keep her head down. She would not want them to think she was unwilling to the idea on her first day here. If they actually wanted peace as well, they would be more willing to protect her if Arielle was good. And if they wanted to kill her, well maybe they would wait a bit longer if they saw she wasn't here to cause trouble.

A heavy breath of nervousness came from Arielle as the plane landed. Six months. For now, that was all Arielle needed to last for. Six months in vampire territory and then she would be brought back home (with Prince Giovanni, unfortunately). At least that was what the Kings and Queens had agreed on. First, Prince Giovanni and Princess Ariellewould celebrate their engagement and get to know each other in vampire country before heading back to her own for the other half.

As Arielle stood up on the plane, her eyes now scanning the landing strip, looking to see if the royal vampire family were out yet. They were suppose to meet them at the airport. It was a sign of good faith to meet them when they land. Also, it would give her and Giovanni a chance to meet for the first time without prying eyes. She would prefer if it was not that way. Chills were running down her spine at the thought of coming face to face with a vampire.

How in the world does dirt get under one's fingernails? Especially when the world around you is crisp and polished to a T. Not a single speck of dust in the place that the Prince calls home, and yet. There was a small dark spot under his pearly white cuticle. Gross. Raising his other hand, Gio dug a nail under the one that had dirt under it and started to pick at it till the dirt was no more.

"And then you need to- Gio are you even listening to me?" A feminine voice cut into Giovanni like a knife and he looked up. A look of confusion on his face, followed by a blink indicating that he had paid little to none at all to what his mother had been going on about. He probably heard it all a thousand times by now anyway, so what was ignoring her for a few moments going to do?

"Sorry, I zoned out," Giovanni said as he offered his mother a small side smile. The signature smirk that got him out of more drama and trouble that he cared to admit. A loud sigh escaped from his mother and he watched as she once again rolled her eyes at her oldest son. Annoyance was written all over her face. "This is no laughing matter, Giovanni, you really need to make this work, or-" Gio started to speak, cutting the older woman off. "Or we could be entering yet another war with the human Kingdom. Yes mother, I know."

The Queen opened her mouth to speak once more, but then quickly shut her mouth. A shake of her head was all she decided to give her eldest instead, not in the least bit happy with it, but accepting it. Gio was a smart boy, he knew when to act his age and not fool around. At least, that's what the queen constantly told herself. Even when she hears about all of the rumors that her son was involved in. Sleeping with multiple women and going to parties to do god knows what.

As the car pulled into the lot of the private airstrip. Gio sat up straighter and fixed his jacket. His mother licked her thumb and tried to wipe invisible dust off of his cheek, but Gio moved out of the way and gave the older woman a look that told her that he was too old for those sorts of things. The Queen sighed, but let the action slide. Like she does with most of the things her kids do these days.

Once the car came to a stop, the driver came around and opened the door for the Queen. Helping her out of the car. Gio, on the other hand, got out on his own and looked towards the plane that was slowly getting closer by the second. His soon to be wife, was coming today, and to be honest, he could care less. She was a human, there was no way that she'd fall for a man like him. A man who relied on her kind of blood to survive. This whole thing was doomed to fail, and yet. Their parents were eager to try and work something out, or else. The Vampire Kingdom was sure to wipe out the whole human Kingdom in a matter of days.

Arielle took a deep breath in as the door to the plane opened. It was time and there was nothing the princess could do at this point to delay it any longer. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to find the strength to keep her composure together. Surely, they would not try to kill them right after landing. It would happen later.

Once her father and mother started down the steps of the plane, Princess Arielle slowly followed suit. Her heart was beating wildly now, her fear creeping up through her body. Though despite her deep-seeded concerns, and worries, she was able to keep a straight face. At least she was able to do that, all of her training and experience paying off in that regard. But did it matter? Were they able to hear her heartbeat as the rumors suggested? Was there a point in attempting to hide her fears when they could just hear it anyways?

The Human King and Queen walked up to the Vampire Royalty. They had met many times before this to discuss the treaty and how peace would be settled. It seemed that both parties were more relaxed than Arielle had expected. There were minimal formalities as they greeted each other. That just made Arielle all the more uncomfortable. Clearly, her parents had lost their mind. Though she already had known that to be true when they told her of her new engagement.

Queen Vivian placed a hand behind Arielle's back, gently leading her forward. "This is our daughter, Princess Arielle."

Arielle came forward to the vampire royalty and curtsied to their Highnesses, for now ignoring the elephant in the room, Giovanni. It was only proper to acknowledge the rulers first anyways. Anything else would surely be rude. Besides that, she wished to keep as much distance between her and them as possible. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance," Arielle said as she came up from her courtesy. She tried her best to make herself sound welcoming and warm though it was hard to hear herself as her heart was beating so loudly in her ears. While she had wondered if they could hear her fear, she now as worried that they could see through her lies as well. Was that even possible?

Throughout the whole introductory thing, there was only one thing on Gio's mind. What did he feel like doing when he got home? There was a pretty blonde that was new to the court. She was a servant girl, quite new to the royal palace, and boy did she smell delicious. Then again, most human servants did to Gio. He could drain one dry in an instant if it wasn't against the law of the Kingdom to kill a human by draining them. Although, he also promised his friend Rook that he'd come by and they could have a few drinks.

Yeah, it's been a while since Gio had a good chat with his best friend, and subsequently, his half brother. His mother was his father's mistress for years before his other found out that they were both with a child around the same time. Gotta love family drama.

The sudden smell of a human girl caught Giovanni's attention. He usually could ignore the little blood bags when he was in the middle of something important, but he had forgotten who they were meeting. Which was why a slight look of surprise flashed across his eyes as he watched the young human girl courtesy towards his parents. Though as soon as it appeared, it disappeared.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Princess Arielle." Gio's father said, giving her a little nod of his head in approval. A small smile playing across their lips, happy to see that she was acting ladylike and not acting out. Which is what Gio had been expecting, and hoping for, to be honest. He liked a little flare in his women.

"This is our son, Prince Giovanni." His father introduced the Prince, and knowing his queue, Gio bowed respectfully towards the human royals. One arm crossed over his stomach as he did so as a sign of respect to them. "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintances." He spoke, his voice deep and to be honest quite monotone as he spoke. Then, he slowly stood up and looked straight at the Princess and reached out to gently take her right hand. "I look forward to getting to know you, my Princess," Gio said quietly as he placed a light kiss to her hand before standing up completely.

Radiance of approval washed over Gio's parents. He could practically smell the approval coming from them. That he was acting as the true Prince that he was. "Now that introductions are out of the way, care to head on over to the Palance? Our chefs are preparing a lovely early dinner for us all." His father said, motioning for everyone to get back into the car to head back and so that they could have a nice conversation off of the private runway.

Arielle forced herself to lay her hand atop Giovanni's, freezing as he pressed his lips to it. For a moment, a small frown came over the princess' lips. Though as he let go of her, her face shifted back into neutral. Her hands moved behind her back as the Kings and Queens moved towards the car. Thinking that no one would notice as their backs were turned to her, Arielle rubbed her hand against the back of her dress as though it was dirty.

How was she going to stop any and all contact from them? That would be difficult, especially with Giovanni as he was meant to be her future husband. Though surely there was a clever, unsuspicious reason to provide? It would take some time to think of it, but there had to be something she could offer that would allow some distance. Perhaps if she bathed in Holy water they would want to keep her distance anyways and say she didn't know what was causing it? That would be too odd... besides were they actually afflicted by such things?

In reality, it would be best to just get over that little inconvenience. The less reason she gave them to suspect her, the better. Arielle needed to look like the perfect, most well behaved and obedient princess. That would stop them from looking her way when this marriage arrangement came crashing around them. And, if her worst suspicions were true, it would hopefully cause them to delay their plans of killing and taking over.

Following them into the car, Arielle sat down next to a window. The princess crossed her legs at her ankles before turning her head and looking out of the car. The parents were speaking and Arielle felt no need to join in on the conversation, especially since they were speaking of the last time they met. It had nothing to do with her. Though, Airelle did find interest in the country she was in, watching everything that passed by. Even if her plan worked, it would be a while until they sent her back home... Unfortunately, she was in a long con situation.

Awkward would be the best word to describe the way back to the Castle. Gio sat next to the Princess on the way home and copied her. His head facing the window as the car moved through the city, acting like he was paying attention to the scenery that they were driving past. Except, he actually wasn't. No, instead he was looking at the reflection of the girl next to him. Watching her, taking in her features, her expressions, her everything. Not many humans dared to pay little attention to the Prince. He was the Prince after all, who wouldn't want to be boned or fed by the Prince?

    Not one, that's who.

From where he was sitting, if Gio focused hard enough he could hear the human Princess' heartbeat. She was nervous, which was understandable. She was in a car surrounded by vampires who could rip her head off in a second and drain her bone dry even quicker. This wasn't the stone age though, so that wouldn't be happening, but still. He had a feeling that's what she's probably thinking about this whole thing,

As the car pulled to a stop in front of the Castle's doors, Gio got out of the car and walked to Arielle's door. He opened the door for her and offered a hand to help her out. His dark eyes watching the girls every move. If they weren't in the presence of her parents or his, he'd move the happily have just walked into the Castle and went to do whatever he felt like. Of course, though, he was so he had to play Prince charming and shove his charm so far up his as that he was sure he could shit sparkles if he really wanted to.

Once the Princess was out of the car, Gio shut the door and shoved his hands into his pockets. "I don't have cooties, love." Was all that he'd say to her before offering a small wink and moving to walk into the Castle to head to the formal dining room that was for the royal family only. Earlier, on the runway, Gio caught the slight movement of her reflection as she wiped her hands on something. It was amusing to him but held in the teasing til he was sure no one was paying attention to the two of them.

Chills ran down Arielle's spin as Giovanni started to walk away from her. She had not been expecting that. The princess had thought she was careful, thought she only did it when the others were looking. Apparently, she had been wrong in that matter. Arielle would need to be more careful. Especially since so many eyes would be on her. It was important that she followed protocol to the t, even if she didn't want to.

As she clasped her hands in front of herself, Arielle followed a few paces behind the others. She was still part of the group but at least she had some distance between herself and Giovanni. It gave her the opportunity to think, and to glance around the grand palace. Why would the prince confront her about her action? Perhaps it was weird but nothing more could be pulled from that moment, surely. And did she now have to worry about the prince keeping a close eye on her?

Arielle had been hoping that Giovanni would keep his distance from her. Best case scenario would have been that he was against the arrangement as well. That he would act out or, at least, show no interest in her. Now the princess had to worry that would not be the case. Otherwise, why else would he say anything to her about cooties?

Pushing her thoughts out, Arielle headed into the dining room. She followed the others' lead and sat down in one of the chairs, across from Giovanni. Hopefully, the dinner would be short, and that they would be escorted to their rooms after. Arielle wanted to keep contact as short as possible. Though as she thought about it, it seemed odd that they were all eating together anyways. Vampires didn't eat human food, right? Why would they even have a chef or a kitchen? And Arielle was rather sure, despite their monstrosities, that they would not be bringing out a human to feed on or blood... The Princess was sure she would be sick if they did.

Taking his seat at the table, Gio leaned back in his chair. Completely relaxed. He could tell from his small little comment that he had hit some sort of nerve with Arielle earlier. The thought of making her nervous caused a small smile to slowly pull at his lips, but, he quickly extinguished it as he didn't want to be found out. No woman went under Gio's radar, no matter how little he cared about them.

A few moments later, the chefs started to have the servers bring out the meal. Roasted lamb with broiled red skinned potatoes. Gravy, grilled vegetables that were seasoned to perfection and a side salad for each to have. A nice small meal for the Royals to enjoy, and surely, one of the few human dishes that his father actually enjoyed indulging in. While human food did little to satisfy a vampire hunger, it was enough to fuel them for a while. Surely though, by the end of the day, they'd need to have a glass of blood at least to not go mad with hunger.

"I hope the meal is to your liking." The vampire King said as he looked towards his human guests. Then, he raised his glass of sparkling champagne and started to make a toast. A proud look in his eyes as he talked about how he was happy that they were finally going to be having some peace between the two kingdoms. Excited that wealthy items could start being exchanged with each other.

Bringing his glass of champagne to his lips, Gio glanced towards Arielle as he took a sip. "What were you expecting we'd be having?" He asked her, truly curious about what she'd tell him. Probably something silly like human hearts that were just ripped from one's ribcage. Or that a human would just walk over to him and he'd bend her backward as he'd snap her neck in front of his guests and drain the human dry. Funny how one's lack of knowledge could make one's mind run.

Arielle lifted her glass up with the others as the vampire King made his toast. It was nice enough, she supposed. At least there was nothing suspicious within his words. Two countries, at peace, able to trade and make each other wealthier was typically a good thing. Too bad that her parents thought that working with monsters was worth it. Sure, they worked with other nonhuman creatures but vampires were different. Vampires ate them. They weren't the faeries or elves or werewolves...

Her eyes shifted from the King to the Prince as Giovanni started to speak. The Princess' face stayed neutral as he asked his question. What was he trying to do? It would have been a strange question at any dinner party. Though it was more so considering she understood the implication behind it. Was Giovanni rude, stupid or trying to threaten her?

"I was expecting dinner," Arielle said lightly before motioning down to her food. She did not know what kind of response the Prince had wanted, but it seemed best not to poke at the beast. And, she figured, keeping her responses rather plain would make him lose his interest in her. Despite what his or her parents wanted to believe, Arielle was positive that Gio would not want this arrangement either. Hopefully, he would be quick to move on from the human princess to whatever it was he typically enjoyed doing.

"What were you expecting for our meal?" The princess asked him, glancing at the prince for a moment before turning her eyes to the meal in front of her. As much as she would have preferred to sit in silence, for her plan to work, she had to act sociable with him and the others. Even if that meant having a dull conversation with a nightmare.

It took almost everything inside of Giovanni to not burst out laughing. It would seem that the pretty little Princess had some bite to her after all. Raising his glass to hide his amused smirk, Gio took a few small gulps before lowering it. His gaze looking down at the meal that was placed in front of him instead, thinking about what he was asked in return.

"I was expecting something warm." He started, acting calm as he slowly started to cut into a piece of lamb that was on his place. "A little salty, a little savory, and most of all. A little bit raw and bloody." He said, just as some of the red juice came out of the cut meat as he separated it from the larger chunk. Raising his fork, Gio stabbed the piece of meat and eyed Arielle as he ate from his fork.

"Delicious." He said, once he chewed and swallowed the bite. Gio then slowly stuck his tongue out of the right corner of his mouth and licked his lips till he got to the other side. "Just how I like it." He murmured, offering a small smirk in return.

Opening his mouth, Gio was about to taunt Arielle once more with some sort of comment that could add more fearful ideas to her head. But the look he got from across the table from his mother stopped him. She had apparently caught a few of his words to the Princess and silently told him to not push his luck at the dinner table.

With his little bit of fun ruined by the woman with a stick up her ass, Gio lowered his gaze. His focus on his meal instead as he poured some gravy on top of the lamb to give it a bit more flavor before just focusing on the food. He'll need to stuff himself if he wanted to not be tempted to rip anyone's throat open in hunger later.

A deep frown moved over Arielle's face as Giovanni spoke. She found it too difficult to look away from the show that the Princes was putting on. Why he was doing it was a mystery. Though it felt as if the man was just playing some kind of sick game with her. Was it just for show or was he already making his intentions clear? Their situation was already painstakingly obvious for anyone with half a brain. The vampire prince had the upper hand. It would be easy for him to turn her into his next delicious meal.

Goosebumps ran down her skin as the Prince smirked at her. The fear she felt was rising back again, her heartbeat pounding in her ears. She didn't believe it would happen so quickly, getting shown that this was a terrible mistake. That the Princess really did need to get out of this arrangement, this country as soon as possible. Arielle was already quickly regretting packing her protecting away. She thought it better to put away for the first night, but now the princess would be sure to have it on her at all times.

By some grace of God, Giovanni stopped and focused on his own food. She took that moment to glance down at her plate. When it had first arrived, she thought it looked rather good. But now, the lamb was less than appetizing. The rest of the food looked fine as well but her stomach was now too twisted up with fear. Getting anything down felt like it would be a struggle. Arielle moved her hands into her lap, deciding it would be best to skip dinner after Giovanni's little show.

Not wanting to seem rude, however, Arielle turned her attention to others. She listened intently to what they had to say, doing her best to seem interested in the conversation while also trying to ignore the Prince. Though as they spoke, she could only hope that dinner would be coming to an end soon. And if any of them asked why she wasn't eating, Arielle would be sure to say that while the meal looked delicious, the flight had ruined her appetite. She figured that would be a good enough reason for now. One that even her parents might buy.

The rest of the dinner seemed to fly by in a blur. The parents talked as if they were in their own little world. Ignoring the two whose lives were being forced to change. Pretending like everything was going to be right in the world now that a treaty had been settled on and new alliances were on their way to coming true.

Once the plates were picked up, the King let out a small sigh. "It seems to be getting late, allow our staff to show you to your rooms." The King said as he motioned for the Princess and the King and Queen to follow the two servants that had arrived to show them their rooms.

Last week, Gio's father had the south wing of the castle temporarily modified for them. No signs of blood that might have dripped from a feeding or signs of struggles when they had unwilling humans trying to escape. Any sort of handcuffs or medical supplies for the human feeders were all put into storage. The rooms no longer looked like the guest rooms that were used as the feeders living quarters, now, they looked just as nice or nicer than a room at a four-star hotel.

"Have a good night, Princess," Gio said as he glanced towards Arielle before getting up himself and going off in a different direction. He was more interested in relaxing by the pool for a while as the human food worked its way through his system. Plus, he wanted to think of how else to annoy his soon to be lover.

Arielle was more than ready for dinner to be over once it was finally called. She took a moment to glance back at the prince as he told her goodnight. The man was suspicious. Though she had learned a lot about him in the little amount of time they had together. At this point, she was rather sure Giovanni either wanted to eat her or mess with her head. Either way, she didn't like it and would try to stay away from him as much as possible... if that was even possible.

Once settled in her room, Arielle locked the door and started to go through her things. Most of it was the typical: clothes, makeup, books, personal items and the such. Though there was one box that held a few unusual items. The princess had brought a few weapons with her, things that she hoped would assist her if she was attacked. Though, she didn't know which myths were real and which were fake. There were three items that she was counting on the most.

The first being a small wooden stake. Arielle did question if it had needed to be a wooden stake at all, surely plunging a weapon into anyone would hurt or kill them? The second was a blessed silver coin, hitting two myths in one item. Apparently blessed items hurt vampires, as well as silver. The last was a flask full of holy water, which could burn them? She had a variety of other items but those three were the most common in myths. It wouldn't be possible to carry all of the items with her everyday, but the variety should make it possible to carry something. Arielle thought she would have an easy enough time hiding them on her person.

Taking the stake, the princess moved it under her pillow before curling up in the bed. She had a difficult time falling asleep, but once she did, she was out for the night. The last 24 hours had been stressful and her body was trying to catch up on the rest she needed.

Once morning came, Arielle took her time getting ready for the day. She was in no rush to leave her room and spend time with the vampires. Perhaps it was possible to skip out on the rest of the day and stay in her room? She let out a sigh and shook her head. It wasn't possible and definitely not a good idea if she wanted to start working on her plan. Once ready, Arielle put the silver coin in her pocket before heading out to have breakfast with her parents. At least none of the others would be joining them this time. Though, who knew what the plans for the rest of the day were.

After an interesting dinner, Gio had done to his office. A nice glass of scotch rested next to his opened desktop as he watched the video call thing saying it was receiving a call. "Hello, brother," Gio said as he raised his glass to his lips and took a sip of it as he leaned back in his leather chair.

After sitting by the pool for a while, he had gotten a text from his brother to skype him. It was stupid that he couldn't just call on his phone, but Giovanni figured it was because he wanted it to be private. An nothing was more private then the offices of the Royal Heir and the King's.

"Hey, she arrive yet?" Gio's brother Jax asked. "Who?" Gio faked confusion just to annoy his slightly older brother. A snort escaped from Jax. "You know who dumb ass. The human girl. Aurora, or whatever her name was." At that, Gio couldn't help but snort. "Arielle." He corrected, then scowled because his brother had that look that told him he was just tricked. "Ha! So you do remember her name! You never remember a humans name!"

"That's because mom wouldn't stop talking about her since this engagement was announced." Gio fired back at his brother before he took another sip of his drink. "Anyways, what the hell do you want? You know we can't talk long or someone could find out we have contact." Gio reminded Jax. Their relationship was a difficult one. While Jax was the older one, his mother was a mistress. A noble lady who had slept with his father, the king, a few times before he married the current Queen. When Gio's mother found out about the woman and the child, she forbid Gio ever finding out about either of them. They weren't even allowed inside of the castle. Hell, Jax was only allowed to visit once, and it was when Gio was named the heir.

"Oh, yeah. I just wanted to know how things are? Is she nice? You fuck her yet?" Jax asked, a light tone in his voice as he spoke. Gio snorted at his brothers' peppy questions and set his drink down. "She's okay, I've seen better and no. I did fuck with her mind though. Freaked her out." He told his brother, smirking a little bit at the memory. "Dude, you're going to marry her." Jax reminded him. "Shouldn't you try and get to know her or something?" Jax pressed, which made Gio roll his eyes in response.

"Like hell, I'd do that. We all know this isn't going to work. She's a hu-" Jax cut Gio off. "But you're already engaged to her!" A roll of his eyes was Gios answer. "That can change at any time!" For the next ten minutes or so, the two brothers argued back and forth about the subject. Each one having a different thought on the topic.

"I bet you can't make her fall for you!" Jax randomly inserted, causing Gio to freeze. The thought of having a human fall for him sounded disgusting. "I bet this girl won't even look your way if you try and make a move on her." Oh, that got Giovanni's attention. "I could so easily get this girl to fall for me," Gio interjected. "Oh please, I bet you can't even get a fuck me from her."

"Want to bet?" Gio asked, narrowing his eyes at Jax. The boy really knew how to get under the Prince's nerves. "I do actually."

Last night, Jax had called and set up a bet with Gio and now time felt like it was of the essence. Giovanni needed Arielle to fall for him. He just didn't know how. Like last night he was pretty sure he had fucked that up by teasing her and getting under her skin.
Now that it was morning, and a hot cup of tea was in front of him. This was the perfect time for him to try and figure out how to make things work.

Arielle had felt rather good going into breakfast with her parents. She was sure that it would be a calm time, no vampires there to try and freak her out. No need for any stress. Though, by the end of it, Arielle was feeling extremely tense. Her parents were pushing Arielle to try and spend the day with Giovanni. It is important that the two of you get along They said You should really try to get to know the prince before you judge him. Now that was the last thing she wanted to do. Though, as they walked out, it had been made clear to Arielle that her and Giovanni would be spending some time with each other whether they liked it or not.

Walking out of the room with her family, she took a moment to press a hand against the middle of her head. This was going to be a long and painful day, she knew it. They were heading off to meet up with the vampire family. The Kings and Queen would then take their leave to finish up aspects of the a trade deal, leaving her with the Prince. Who knew what he would even offer for them to do. Her parents suggested that he give her a tour, but she was sure that was not what Giovanni would offer up. He didn't seem like the tour giving type - unless he thought a tour of their stock of human meals would be interesting to her.

Perhaps there was a chance that Giovanni would head off on his own. Then Arielle could go back and hide in her room! Even if that didn't happen, the princess didn't need to spend the whole day with him, did she? Perhaps she could sneak out if it early. Once out of their wing, Arielle dropped her hand and followed them down to the meeting place. Arielle brought her back up straighter, her hands folding in front of her body. She needed to look a lot more confident than she felt, that was for sure.

Once they met up with the royal family, Arielle gave the King and Queen a small curtsy and a soft 'Good Morning'. The vampire King and Queen seemed pleased with her actions. After a bit of small talk, her father, King Richard thought it was time for them all to move on with their day. "Well, we should get to work." He said, nodding to the vampire King and Queen. Though he then looked down at Arielle and Giovanni. "Do you two have any ideas on how to spend your day?"

As girly as it seemed, Giovanni really enjoyed drinking tea and trying new flavors. Boiled leaves were just so tasty to him for some odd reason. Maybe it was the part of him that wished for some peace and quiet every once in a while. Which, he often denied as he kinda likes his parties and random hook-ups.

After he had finished his tea, Gio had joined his parents as they greeted the human royals. He did his part and played the perfect Prince. Saying all the right things, as he had practiced them since he was a young child. He'd been drilled in the art of sucking up and speaking the common Princely answers he was to give people.

"I was planning to take the Princess into town for a bit. Maybe show her some of the tourist attractions as well." Giovanni said as he offered the King a small smile, letting him know his attentions were nothing but pure. His own parents seemed to smile at what Gio had said, and nodded in approval. It wasn't often that Gio offered to take people into town with him, much less a human. So, this was a big improvement.

Then, the Kings and Queens said their farewells to the Prince and Princess, leaving them on their own. Turning, Gio looked down at Arielle for a moment then nodded in approval. She looked suitable. "Come on, let's go." He said as he motioned for her to follow him. They weren't going to be driven by a servant, Gio himself was going to be driving. He much preferred it as he could go where he pleased and not have someone's eyes on him constantly.

Leading the Princess towards the private garage that was in the east of the castle, Gio held the door open for her. "Which car do you want to take?" He asked once she was in the garage. "The ferarri, or the Bently?" Gio asked, pointing at her two choices. "Both go fast, and both are comfortable to sit in." He told her, offering a small smirk as his words could be taken in many different directions. "Don't know if you're a car girl or not, but the Bently was a last year model and the Ferrari has just released this ear."

Licking his lips, Gio would move to whatever car Arielle chose and open the passenger side door for her before going towards the drivers' side and hopping in. He barely gave Arielle time to buckle up before he started to pull the car out of the garage and out onto the street, taking her to their first destination. The waterfall at the capital city center.

Pure disappointment moved through Arielle as she realized the prince was serious about going into town. Part of her had hoped he was just saying that to entertain their parents.. apparently, that was not the case. And there was no good reason to say no. Not that she would have the chance to. Giovanni already was leading the way before she was able to get a word in.

"I can't say that I am much of a car girl." Arielle responded as she headed over to the Bently. It was less flashy than the bright red Ferarri and would draw less attention. Though they were sure to attract more than enough attention as it was. The human princess and vampire prince out together for the first time? Yeah, that was going to be great.

As Giovanni opened up the car door for her, Arielle slid into her seat. She hadn't even gotten her seatbelt on by the time he was pulling out of the garage. Her nose wrinkled a bit before she clicked it in and leaned back in the seat. Her hands slid into her pockets, her right hand now flipping the silver coin around her fingers. If she had known they were going into town, Arielle might have bathed in Holy water.

Turning her head, Arielle looked out of the window, once again watching everything fly by. At least the land was pretty enough. After a few minutes had passed, the princess started to speak. She needed to appear like she was making an effort. "Where are we going?"

There was a chance that this was one big trap or a way for the prince to torment her away from their parent's watchful eye. At this point, she had no reason to believe they were in for a half decent day.

As Giovanni drove, the rolling hills started to appear on both sides of them. A sure sign that they were in a more secluded area then what one would think. The castle that the royal family resided was a fair distance from the capital. It was a safety thing that some King decided on many years ago.

"To do a public stunt." Was all Gio replied with as he relaxed in his seat, one hand on the wheel. "My people aren't too fond of our arrangement, but those that are, are extremely excited. I figured we'd give the minority something to grin about." He checked the mirrors in his car before he switched lanes as the one he was in was going to take him somewhere he was sure Arielle wouldn't enjoy.

"Is there anything that you want to do?" Gio pressed, casting a glance towards the young human. Trying to get her to speak to him, he might have been an ass to her last night but he was trying to make an effort today. After all, his inheritance was on the line here.

Pulling into the city limits, Gio slowed his car and started to drive the speed limit. His own eyes glancing around as they drove. It was a sunny weekday, so there weren't very many out and about at the moment. Many were probably at work or in school.
As they approached the fountain that Gio wanted to show Arielle, he pulled into a parallel parking spot and got out. Doing like he's been doing for her, he went around to her side and opened the door for her. "I thought you'd like to see something interesting," Gio said as he pointed towards the fountain that was in the middle of the small park. "Locals call it the alien fountain, because of the tendrils at the top," Gio explained, then motioned for the girl to head over to it. "It's cooler looking at night, but it's still an eye-catching sight in the day."

Arielle let out a small hum as Giovanni revealed that his plan had something to do with a public stunt. Now that made sense, and honestly kinda annoyed Arielle. His parents probably pressured the prince to make a public appearance of them together where they both looked pleased. That made more sense than him doing a 180 from last night and deciding to show her around.

"My people aren't particularly pleased about the arrangement either." As much as the princess was displeased with his decision to bring her out for show and tell, perhaps this was a good thing. His people and her people didn't approve of the marriage. Perhaps, with enough public pressure, their parents would cancel the thing altogether. Now how could she do that? Was there a way for Arielle to set this up to make it look like he did something wrong to her?

The princess glanced up from the window and looked over at Giovanni as he asked her what she wanted to do. What she really wanted to do wasn't a particularly kind thing to say. Though Arielle did wonder if kicking Giovanni in the crotch would actually hurt him... It probably wouldn't if the myths were to be believed. Besides, she had to give me an actual suggestion. "I would like to go to a Greenhouse if there is one close by. Otherwise, I think I will refer to my tour guide." He would probably find it too boring to bring her. And it wouldn't be the great photo op he was apparently looking for.

Sliding her hands out of her pockets, Arielle slid out of the car and walked up to the fountain as Giovanni motioned for her to do so. The princess' head tilted a bit as she started to slowly walk around it. Admittedly, it was quite an unusual fountain and something that was worth seeing. Very odd but it sucked Arielle in. She moved her hands behind her back, as she turned to look at Giovanni. "I can see why they call it that." Focusing back at the fountain in front of her, she continued on. "What is its real name?"
