Hearing the familiar footsteps of the human Princess, a small smile slowly danced along Gio's lips. He turned his head and looked towards the entryway of the gazebo as Arielle walked in. "Hey." Gio greeted back, a small smile upon his lips, although it slowly turned into a small frown as he saw what Arielle was carrying. Shit He thought to himself, as he quickly turned the frown into one of curiosity. Doing his best to play the confused fool.
"What's that?" Gio asked as he slowly got off of his spot on the bench and moved towards the little table in the center of the gazebo. Sitting down in the chair, Gio have Arielle a worried look before looking at the small gift once more. "Bossy," Gio said, teasingly and gave Arielle a small wink before opening the gift that she had gotten for him. His eyebrows rising in surprise as he took in the nice-looking dessert. Although, to be completely honest. He couldn't smell any sort of sweetness from the cream or the chocolate. His enhanced senses allowed him to at least be able to pick up the smallest hint of chocolate in things.
"Did I miss my birthday or something?" Gio asked as he slowly reached out to grab the plastic fork that came in the box, Gio took a small scoop of the sweet dessert and sucked up his nerves as he took the bite. He couldn't held his wince at the oddly sour and burnt taste that he got from the cake and the other two layers. "Ohh...." He mumbled and fought with his stomach to not throw it up all over the gazebo and Ari. Instead, he pursed his lips together to force himself to swallow the disgusting sweet and played that she didn't ask him to eat more of it.
Once swallowed, Gio let out a couple of choke-sounding coughs and covered his mouth with a fist. Still fighting to not throw that abomination of a desert up. "Was that a prank?" Gio asked, his voice quiet as he felt his mouth becoming incredibly dry. Damn, he felt like he could drink a freaking ocean after forcing that shit down.
