It seemed that no matter where the Princess was, she always found trouble. Not even leaving her around for a couple of moments, and Gio saw that she had gotten into a fight with another vampire, one that looked a little drunk as well no less.

So, shoving his hands back into his pockets as he approached the two. Gio did his best to keep his cool. Being a Prince, Gio had done through rigorous training to learn to control his emotions. Plus, it was quite amusing to watch people getting angry when he just looked at them with blank expressions. This situation called for the Prince to be on top of his game. He couldn't allow for the man who was handling Arielle roughly to get away with handling her like he was.

"You know toughing a royal without their permission is considered a criminal offense, right?" Giovanni said as he stepped towards the two and placed a hand on the man's shoulder. His fingers digging into the man's arm ever so slightly to give him the hint that he wasn't in a very good mood over him manhandling his soon to be wife. As well as the future ruler of this Kingdom.

"Release her now, or I will be forced to take the matter into my own hands and have you arrested," Gio spoke, his tone holding command and authority to it. Two things that were usually not associated with the usually calm and playful Prince in the public's eye. His eyes narrowed ever so slightly as he waited for the vampire to obey his orders

The fake Giovanni froze in fear when the real prince headed over to the both of them. It was swimming in his eyes, and only grew worse as Gio's fingers dug into his shoulders. There was a moment of hesitation before he slowly released his grip on the princess, having needed a moment to process the exact situation he had gotten himself into. His eyes shifted from Arielle and looked to Giovanni, seeing how his eyes narrowed at him. "M-my apologies, Prince Giovanni. I was speaking to the princess and I accidentally frightened her. I didn't mean to..." He petered off.

Once the man loosened his grip on her, Arielle was quick to pull away and make some space between herself and the stranger. Arielle held onto the hand that he had been gripping her with and, immediately moved behind Giovanni for protection. She reached out and held onto the back of his shirt loosely as she pressed her head against his back. Arielle could feel tears welling up in her eyes as the anxiousness she felt filled up her small frame. "That is not true!" She gasped out. "He kissed me a-and his fangs bit my lip."

The stranger was quick to turn his head to look at Arielle. Though he could not see much of her when she was hidden behind Giovanni's body. His eyes narrowed for a moment before he looked up and shook his head. "That is not true. I would never do som-"

Arielle was quick to interrupt him, even tugging on the back of Giovanni's shirt a little as she did so. "Yes, he did! Giovanni, I swear he did." One of her hands dropped his shirt as she reached up and touched her bottom lip, shuddering a bit as she did so. "He sat down next to me and started talking. Before I knew it, his lips and fangs were on me. When I tried to get away from him, he grabbed me!"

Eyes narrowing ever so slightly in concentration. Gio looked back and forth between the two. Seeing the anxiety on the male's face was enough of a give away for the Prince to know something was up. Plus the fact of how hysterical the Princess was only adding fuel to the fire. Something had been going on and had he not intervened so soon, something else was bound to have gone further and he wasn't sure if he'd of been able to fix it then.

Clenching his hands into fists, Gio so desperately wanted to attack this guy. He wanted to smash the guys face in, leave a couple of nice sized bruises on his skin for the world to see. But he couldn't do that. No, Giovanni was supposed to be the crowned prince of this Kingdom, he couldn't risk the press getting whiff of this. At least, not of him doing the beat down at least.

So, even thought it was freaking killing him, Gio stood up straighter. His hands were at his sides in clenched fists. "Leave." Was the only word that escaped from Gio's lips as he stared darkly into the man's eyes. His eyes narrowing every second that past. "What, are you deaf? NOw!" Gio said a little bit louder and forceful once the man hesitated to move.

Pulling his lips back, Giovanni bared his fangs at the lesser vampire. A sign of intense anger in the vampire community. Then, as the man practically peed his pants as he turned and rushed away, Gio lowered his lips and turned around towards Arielle. His hands resting lightly on her shoulders as he leaned down ever so slightly as he checked her lips and face for any other sort of injuries that she could have gotten from the man.

"Are you alright?" He asked quietly, although the music and everything seemed to have quieted down around them, Gio still felt like it was too loud. So, he slowly snaked his arm around Arielle's shoulder and started to lead her towards the place where he had parked his car. Wanting to her somewhere where people weren't constantly staring at them.

As Giovanni started to yell at the fake, Arielle's grip on the back of his shirt loosened. She was concerned that Gio was going to start fighting him and she didn't want to accidentally get pulled into it by holding onto the prince. Though it seemed to end quickly with Giovanni scaring him off without even having to throw a punch. When the prince turned to her, Arielle looked up at him. Her tearful eyes meeting his. She let go of him completely as Gio moved his hands onto her shoulder, feeling safe as long as they had some sort of contact.

Besides being shaken to her core, Arielle wasn't really injured. The nip to her lips was nothing more than that, not having broken the skin. Though a small bruise was beginning to form around her wrist from the stranger's grip as he had not been gentle nor held onto her lighter to care for her delicate human skin. "I want to go home." Arielle whimpered lightly to Giovanni as she reached up and started to wipe the tears from her eyes.

Her eyes closed for a moment as Giovanni wrapped his arm around her shoulder. Leaning into it, she laid her head against him as well as lightly holding onto the side of his shirt. Soon, they were heading out of the party towards the parked car. As the doors closed behind them, the party became much more muted and the further they walked, the quieter it became. Though eyes were still on them, some heading in and out of the house, curiously looking at the prince and his new fiancee.

Once they arrived at the car, Arielle waited for Giovanni to open her door before she slowly slid in. Though once she was sitting down, Arielle leaned forward, pressing her hands against the sides of her head. She could feel herself lightly shaking, the thought of his fangs running along her lips moving across her mind. And how he was able to grab her so easily, to stop her from getting away. Arielle didn't want to think about what would have happened if Gio hadn't been there but it made her sick to her stomach.

At times like this, Giovanni was glad that he had tinted windows, because as he leaned back in his seat and watched Arielle. He felt his calm and Stoney expression slipping. He hated that he fucking brought her to this party. That he had allowed for her to get manhandled by a fucking stranger, well he wasn't a stranger. He was an acquaintance but still.

"Damnit." Gio breathed out as he lightly smacked the steering wheel with his right hand. Then, he slowly sank in his chair and rested his left elbow on the window as he rested his hand on the side of his head. his gaze was on Arielle as he rested against the door. It pained him so fucking much that she was having a panic attack because of him because he couldn't take her fucking with him to say goodbye to his fucking friends.

Slowly, with slow movements, Gio reached out and lightly placed his hand on Arielle's back. He kept his hand still for a couple of moments before he slowly started to rub soothing circles into her back. Trying to offer her a little bit of comfort as she got herself under control after what had just happened.

"I'm sorry," Gio said quietly after another quiet couple of moments. "I should have never allowed you to be alone. I'm fucking sorry, Ari." He said, using the nickname he's adopted for her.

At first, Arielle could feel herself growing tense as a hand was suddenly pressed against her back. She felt very jumpy after what had happened. Though, as Giovanni started to make soothing circles, Arielle's muscles started to relax. Though it took her some time until she finally stopped shaking. But it didn't help with the thoughts that were running through her head. There were so many things that could have happened and it seemed each scenario got worse and worse. But, by the same token, they also became more ridiculous and impossible.

"It's not your fault," Arielle whispered to him once Gio tried to apologize for what had occurred. Though, she did blame him a little. Like 5% was Gio's fault but the majority of it was that asshole. Arielle didn't want Giovanni blaming himself for the other 95%. "You're right, I should have gone with you but how were either of us suppose to know?" Her fingers pressed harder into the sides of her head, wanting to calm herself down the rest of the way. The liquor was definitely helping with her thoughts but it only made the sick feeling in her stomach worse. "I don't know what would have happened if you didn't come back...I even punched him but he didn't even flinch..."

After another moment had gone by, Arielle took in a deep breath as she sat up straight. She glanced over to Gio, a deeply upset look stuck on her face. "I just want to head back now...please, Gio." The princess glanced down for a moment before slowly leaning back and laying her head against the headrest. Her eyes briefly looked back at the party before she shook her head a bit and closed her eyes. "Thank God I'm drunk," Arielle mumbled to herself. She knew this would have been way worse if she was sober.

If Gio started to drive back to the palace, it didn't take long for her to fall asleep.

Pressing his head against the back of his seat, Gio let out a small sigh as he listened to Arielle's words. His eyes closing as he let everything she said sink in. She tried to defend herself, but she couldn't, because the guy was a fucking vampire. Stronger than any mere human. Which should of been a fucking red flag for Gio to not leave the Princess alone. A party full of bloodsuckers? That was a disaster waiting to happen, and it did fucking happen.

Retracting his hand slowly from the Princesses back, Gio turned the car on and started to slowly drive back to the Palace. Being careful to not drive over any bumps in the road, or slam on his brakes. He didn't want to wake Arielle as she started to slowly fall asleep in his car. She needed some rest after a night light tonight, that's for sure.

    --

The next morning, Gio sighed quietly as he sat in his office. Two royal guards were standing in front of his desk. Their arms crossed behind their backs as they listened to the Prince's explanation of what needed to be done. They needed to arrest the guy who had harmed the Princess. He was going to be used as a way to show to the other vampires of the world that if they are to mess with the human princess that something will happen to them.

"Dismiss." Giovanni said quietly as he ushered the two men out of his office and leaned back in his chair. A small sigh escaping from his lips as he slowly turned to the side and looked out the window. It was around ten, so the garden that was outside his office looked bright and beautiful. The light shining in through the windows felt warm, and Gio wondered if the Princess was going to find it beautiful or if she was going to be annoyed with the light.

Arielle woke up much later than normal due to what had occurred the night before. They had been out late, and on top of that, Arielle felt like she had never been drunker in her life. She had dealt with hangovers before but never one like this, and the odd thing was, she didn't even remember drinking that much. Though, to be fair, she didn't remember most of the night. With how she was feeling, the princess had no intention of getting out of bed anytime soon. She felt fucking terrible.

Though, that decision was quickly thrown away when one of the servants knocked on her door, letting Arielle know that the King and Queen wanted to see her. She let out a groan before responding back, saying that she wouldn't be able to meet them for another hour. It didn't seem like an emergency and she certainly did not want to go out in this state. So, after a quick shower and getting dressed, Arielle was ready to leave. She didn't look her best, but it was decent. Though, her tinted glasses probably hinted towards her hangover. As she made her way towards the office, she asked one of the servants to bring her a glass of hot chocolate.

    ---

One of the servants knocked on Giovanni's office door and waited for him to let him in before he did so. "The King and Queen would like you and Arielle to join them in your mother's office in an hour." Once he was dismissed, the servant headed on his way, closing the door behind him.

When Giovanni made his way into their office, there was a few things he was able to notice right away. The first was the completely disappointed and displeased looks on his parents' faces. The second was a small stack of tabloids and newspapers on his mother's desk. Lastly, he could see a very hungover Arielle sitting at the small table in the room. Her tinted glasses on, lightly rubbing the side of her head as she sipped on a rather large mug of hot chocolate. Though, while his parents were clearly upset, they were still having a pleasant conversation as they waited for Gio to join.

(I am assuming that Giovanni would go if called)

Just as he had expected. Gio had hoped to have had things covered up before his parents caught wind of things, but it seemed like the local news outlets caught wind first. Fuck, that means that he's going to be in for talking and that was not something he wanted to have. He was having such a good day. Damn.

Slowly, Giovanni shoved his hands into his pockets before he walked towards the three that were sitting at the table in the office. His eyes glancing between Arielle, his father and his mother. Then, he glanced towards the stack of papers that were on the desk at the other end of the room. Yup, they were in for a talking. Great, just great. Maybe he should of did as Arielle did and ask for something to drink while his parents talked, it'll deffinitely give him something to do while they talked.

Shifting his gaze back towards the young Princess. Gio ignored his parents as they stopped talking and pretended that they weren't there to chastise him for being irrisponsible. "How are you feeling?" He asked Arielle quietly, wanting to make sure he didn't hurt her head anymore then it must already.

"Not good," Arielle whispered to him before she took another long sip of the cup she was drinking from. The princess was rather sure that she felt pretty close to what getting hit by a bus would feel like. But she knew better than to complain before they were about to get ripped a new one by his parents. While she was hungover, she wasn't so unobservant to notice that they were fuming. Admittedly, she wasn't quite sure what it was about so she could only hope that they would give Giovanni a harder time than her.

As they had their little chat, the King moved onto his feet and grabbed the tabloids from the desk. "How about instead of talking about all of that, we have a chat about this." The man said as he let the tabloids slam down onto the table in between them. "He picked up a cover and held it up, showing it to both of them. The front cover photo was Arielle getting kissed by another man with a caption on the side mentioning a throwdown between the prince and the princess's new lover. "Would either of you like to explain this?" He snapped at them. "Or, maybe, you can tell me about this." The man then opened up the tabloid revealing a different photo where it looked like Giovanni was biting Airelle at the party like he was drinking from her.

Confusion moved over Arielle's face at the sight of both of those photos. She really did not remember either of those things happening, but it seemed that there was photographic evidence that something had happened. But the princess grew tense at the second picture. Slowly her hand moved up to the side of her neck, making sure that no bite marks were on her before she checked her lips.

The Queen looked at Arielle, about to speak, but when she saw the confusion and anxiousness that was now entering the princess, the Queen let out a sigh before turning to Giovanni. "You should know better than this. It was one thing when you went out, which was already an issue, but you brought Princess Arielle with you? Just what were you thinking? Or were you not even thinking at all?" Grabbing one of the tabloids, the Queen started to read a part of it. "Secret lovers tear this royal couple apart. Find out more about the mystery man that the Princess can't keep her hands off of." She then grabbed another tabloid and read from that. "The princess and the prince get hot and heavy at exclusive party. Prince Giovanni drinks from the human princess as foreplay." The Queen dropped the tabloids back onto the table before pointing down at them. "This is a nightmare. And even if it wasn't, you shouldn't have brought Arielle with you. She is our responsibility. What would you have told her parents if something had happened last night?"

Not noticing how lost Arielle seemed, the King looked to Arielle. "And what do you have to say for yourself? You also should have known better than to go! And you certainly should be kissing other men while engaged to out son." Though his voice was still harsh, he was certainly going easier on her.

A deep frown came over the princess' lips as she looked to the King. It was hard to explain something she couldn't remember. "I... I don't kiss strange men sir..." She mumbled before looking to Giovanni to fill in the blanks for her.

Reaching out with a smooth hand, Giovanni grabbed the back of an empty chair and pulled it out for himself before he slowly sat down. His hands clasping together and resting on the table as he glanced at Arielle as she spoke to him and then looked towards his parents. His lips set into a pursed line as he took in the smoldering annoyance that was appearing in their eyes. Their features holding their dignified air about them that's been chiseled into them since the day they were born. The same sort of features that Gio, the sole heir, the crown prince had himself and was steeling as he waited for them to speak.

Then, when they did. It was like a dam broke and everything seemed to pour out into the open. The pictures, the tabloids spewing poison that they deemed as proof that what they were writing was the truth and that they should be believed. Like they were gods when in reality they were nothing but the dirt under people's shoes that couldn't be scraped off.

Shifting his dark eyes back and forth between his parents, Gio's discomfort started to slowly grow. The pictures, the articles and the reactions of confusion from Arielle were starting to slowly crack that carefully created disguise that the crown Prince creates whenever he is to speak with both of his parents at the same time. His lips were the first thing to start to shift downwards into a frown. Then, his shoulders started to slowly sag ever so slightly, no longer being held ridged and ready at attention. Then lastly, a small sigh escaped from the prince as he raised a hand and ran his fingers through his hair as he relaxed back against his chair ever so slightly.

"At the party last night." Giovanni started to speak. His gaze shifting between Arielle and his parents. "I left Arielle to dance on the dance floor while I went to greet the host of the party, Daniel McAbrem, and a few others. Then, when I turned around, I saw some dick trying to make a move on Ari. So, I stepped in and took Arielle off of the dance floor and led her towards a chair to stay at while I told Daniel that it was a mistake to have come and that we were leaving. Arielle was a little off steady, so I thought that leaving her to sit was the wiser choice." Giovanni said as he glanced towards Arielle as he started to finish his little recollection of the night. "On my way back, the dick that was dancing with her was trying to kiss her, so I once again intervened, and things got a little heated for a moment before the guy backed off. He never bit you, Ari. I stopped him before he got the chance."

Shifting his gaze back towards his parents, Gio's shield was completely cracked and he looked exhausted. "You were right mother, I wasn't thinking and I put the Princess in danger. I'm sorry." He said quietly and glanced at Ari once more before looking at his parents. "I accept whatever punishment you can think of."

As Giovanni explained what had occurred last night, some of it started to come back to her. It was like little flashes of images coming over her mind. Not enough for Arielle to be able to put it completely together for herself, but to make what Giovanni said seem true. Arielle lifted her head up to the King and Queen, looking to both of them. She still felt extremely anxious but at least she knew now that she had not been bitten as she feared. "A man tried to force himself on me," Arielle told them before looking back down at the tabloids. Her eyes glanced down to the bruises that were around her wrist. She had not been certain what they were this morning, but now she was sure it was from someone grabbing her. Who, she didn't know but it didn't matter.

Arielle lifted her wrist up to the royals, showing the bruises. "This is from the man who Gio was protecting me from. It may have been wrong of us to go to the party last night. Though we didn't do anything inappropriate while we were there. I was confronted and Prince Giovanni protected me." While Arielle was saying this, she didn't know exactly if it was true. It made sense that the bruises came from the man who tried to kiss her, but she didn't know. Arielle also didn't know if they did or didn't do anything inappropriate. But all of this sounded like a good thing to say when trying to get out of trouble.

The vampire king looked down at Arielle's hand and frustration continued to boil up in him. They even allowed Arielle to get marked in their country. This was unacceptable and looked completely irresponsible on their part. He looked the princess up and down for a moment before looking to his wife. It wasn't acceptable for them to punish the visiting princess when she didn't break any rules or laws, even if she had been irresponsible by going out with Giovanni. Though they could punish their son for allowing this to happen. He gave a nod to the Queen, who then spoke.

"Giovanni, you are not allowed to leave the palace grounds unless you are completing your duties and only your duties. No more heading out at night, and I don't even want to find out that you went an inch off without our permission. You are homebound until you can prove to be more responsible and not get your fiancee in danger." The Queen told him.

The King looked to Arielle. He was quiet for a moment as he knew something needed to be done but punishing Arielle was not an option. She was the princess of another country and their guest. "Princess Arielle, to ensure your safety, I am assigning personal guards to watch over you when you leave the castle. Furthermore, I would strongly suggest that you take your personal safety more seriously when considering when you spend your time. Do not allow my son to fool you into thinking that a house party is where you belong." He offered another sharp look at Giovanni before motioning them both to leave. "You both may go."

Keeping his gaze down, Giovanni took the punishment. Listening to his parents and keeping his head down. Being under house arrest was definitely a lot better than being sent into exile or being forced to give a public speech about how he planned to be a better prince. He's done the speech part before, so Gio saw the reluctance. The exile part was going a little far, so he saw his parent's way of thinking.

Getting up from his chair, Giovanni offered Arielle a hand to hold her stand. Rather she took it or not, was up to her. Either way, he'd walk slowly towards the door with her and close it behind them. His hands moving to rest in his pockets before he turned his gaze towards Arielle. His lips pursed into a thin line. "Arielle. My apologies." Gio's voice was quiet as he didn't know if the Princess had a hangover or not. "I didn't think things would get so out of hand."

Slowly, Gio licked over his lips. "How did you get ahold of vampire wine?" He asked after a moment of quiet. "That stuff's usually locked in the kitchen's wine fridge and the chefs are the only ones with a code to it." He explained, wondering how a mere mortal was able to get ahold of something so strong.

As Giovanni offered his hand, Arielle laid her fingers against his palm and stood up. For a moment, she glanced over at Gio before glancing off another way and following his lead out. Once the door was closed, she felt the prince drop her hand which caused Arielle to press her fingers against the fabric of her dress at her sides. Her head lifted up once again as Giovanni spoke. Her tinted glasses, that she normally never wore, hiding her eyes behind them.

"I can't let you put all of the blame on yourself," Arielle whispered gently. "Though, admittedly, I don't remember most of it." Her eyes drifted down to her wrist as she lifted it up slightly to see the bruise around it. "I think it is probably best that I don't though." She murmured. The bruise would just be a reminder that she needed to be careful around vampires. Not all of them would be kind or gentle with her.

"Vampire wine?" Arielle murmured. A moment passed before a sigh left her lips and her head lifted up. "That explains a lot. I didn't realize that was what it was. I had only planned to have a drink or two... though I suppose one glass of that is three or four glasses of human wine. Anyways, I went into the kitchen and took it from the wine fridge. It wasn't locked." Arielle then gave him a small shrug. She didn't really care about how she got it but ensuring she remembered to be more careful next time. "I still have most of the bottle I drank from in my room in the mini-fridge."

As Arielle spoke, Giovanni wasn't very sure he was liking what he was hearing, but. He just rolled with the punches. "Yeah, it is better you don't remember." He murmured, remembering how pissed off he was when that man tried to lay a hand on her. It was not right, Arielle may be a human, but she was still a female. She deserved respect.

"I guess I need to have a conversation with the kitchen staff," Giovanni mumbled quietly to himself. He rubbed his chin in thought for a moment before allowing a small sigh to pass his lips. "You can usually tell when a wine is specifically for vampires if there is a gold crested V on the right corner of the bottle," Gio explained to Arielle.

Then, shifting from one foot to the other for a moment, Gio turned so that he was half facing Ari and half way turned down the hall. "If you don't mind, I think it'd be best if you didn't keep that bottle. Is it alright that I take it off of your hands?" Gio asked, arching an eyebrow. Wondering if she was going to tell him that she wanted to keep the extremely potent wine that got the both of them in trouble.

As Gio agreed that it was better that she did not remember, Arielle glanced up at him. It seemed that last night was that bad if even Giovanni thought it was best that she had blacked out most of it. Knowing that was uncomfortable enough that she didn't feel the need to know the rest of the details. She just needed to be careful. Careful about what she did and around the vampires, it seemed. Though she was rather sure the prince wouldn't appreciate her being more careful with his species than she already had been...

"I will make sure to remember that," Arielle told him. She didn't remember any kind of strange marking on the bottle but Arielle was sure that it would be there if she looked at it again. As Giovanni mentioned taking the bottle off of her hands, Arielle made a light face before glancing off to the side. In all honesty, she had liked the taste and the fact that it could get the edge off rather quickly... Arielle thought she could be more careful with it. Though it was probably better to just give Giovanni the bottle. She wasn't really in the mood to listen to him lecture her.

"Yes," Arielle said after a moment before turning slightly to make her way towards her bedroom. "You can come to collect it now if you want. I think I am going to lay down for a while. My head is pounding right now."

A small nod of his head was all the indication of agreeing with her was all Giovanni ended up giving. What more needed to be said between the two of them? They fucked up, they got in trouble, and Gio felt like everything was his fault. He was the one who took advantage of Arielle while she was drunk, and she was the one who got into the wine that was too strong for her. So, they were both quite screwed.

"I can only imagine." Giovanni murmured quietly as he walked a couple of steps behind the human Princess. His arms hanging loosely at his side as he followed her. "Drinking half a wine glass of Vampire wine is like drinking a whole bottle of human wine. We're quite lucky that you didn't end up in a hospital." Giovanni told Arielle, his eyes glancing down at her as he spoke before looking ahead of them.

As they arrived at the Princesses room, Giovanni stopped walking. He didn't want to intrude, they didn't need any rumors going around that they're sneaking into each other's rooms now. "I'll have a servant bring you some peppermint tea, that usually helps with my hangovers when I drink too much of our wine," Gio said, trying to give Arielle a small smile, even though he knew that she probably didn't want anything to do with their servants in the castle.

For a moment, Arielle looked back at Giovanni, a little of a frown coming over her lips. She did not like the sound of that and only now was it beginning to hit Arielle just how strong the vampire wine was. "It sounds like I was lucky that you came to my room last night at all." Arielle murmured as she ran a hand through her hair. If Arielle was honest with herself, she knew she would have drank more than a few glasses knowing that she wouldn't have realized what she was getting herself into.

Once they were at her room, Arielle headed inside. Heading over to the mini-fridge, Arielle pulled the wine bottle out and then went back to the door where Giovanni was waiting. She handed him the still mostly full bottle of wine. Though while Arielle had not checked it herself, there was not a gold-encrusted V on the side of the bottle. "Here it is. I will avoid going into the wine fridge from now on. And I would greatly appreciate the tea as well."

The princess glanced down the halls, checking that no one was there before she turned back to Giovanni. She lifted off her tinted glass and looked up at him with her bright green eyes. Arielle then took a small step out and gently hugged the prince. "I know that it is kinda your fault for getting us into trouble last night but...thank you for not letting me get into more trouble last night. And I am grateful that you protected me last night." With that said, Arielle pulled away but gently squeezed his arm as she did so. "And I am sure that you won't be grounded for too long."

With that, Arielle smiled gently at Giovanni before sliding her glasses on and heading inside. She needed to rest.

Relaxing by the pool, Giovanni laid stretched out on the pool chair. His back against the cool material as he soaked up the last couple of rays of sunlight. While being a vampire made him more prone to getting tanned, it didn't stop him from accepting it. Every good looking person wasn't pasty white. So, Gio needed to keep up appearances. Even if he was grounded.

Resting on the armrests, Gio's hands hung over the edges ever so delicately. His eyes closed, breathing even. If any normal humans walked by, they would assume that the Prince was asleep by the pool. Yet, he wasn't. His slowed heart rate allowed for his kind to play dead so easily. Back in the feral years, Vampires used their lack of a heartbeat to catch humans off guard. Now, it was just used to prank the humans and get a good laugh at out of themselves.

Humans, weak dainty little creatures. Giovanni could break every one of their necks in a matter of seconds, and yet. He wouldn't dare. He was a Prince of a vast Kingdom, he knew how to act, even when he didn't want to behave. Humans, so lowly, so vulnerable. He didn't really care for them, yet. When that human Princess, Arielle hugged him, Giovanni couldn't help this random surge of protectiveness that swelled in his chest. She had thanked him. Gio, the man who put her in danger in the first place by taking the drunk girl to a party. Was thanked and hugged. Weird, Arielle was a weird girl.

Opening his eyes to small slits. Gio looked up towards the glass cieling. The last of the sun's rays were coming in and soon the lights for the pool room would come on. Gio's lips pursed, he wondered how Arielle was faring. He had sent a servant to offer her tea and hasn't heard from the Princess since. Usually, they were bothering each other. Well, since she's been there they've been doing that. An, to be honest, it was kinda, boring to not have a little human to tease mercilessly. He hoped she was alright, that the hangover wasn't too strong.

Slowly, Gio's pursed lips moved into a deep frown. Did he just confess to himself that he was missing the human Princess?
