A small sigh escaped from Giovanni and he could feel his head starting to throb from a migraine that the Princess was forced onto him. Her constant loud voice, her anger over something that he couldn't fucking control. It was all seriously getting on the Prince's nerves. How the fuck did they get into this mess? Why did he have to be stuck with a fuckling human in the first place anyway? Life wasn't fair, especially when it came down to royals. Having your parents being the rulers of a Kingdom, a third party that helped rule said country and ultimately the heir's life until they come into position, and not to mention having to hold onto reputations. It was all so god damn annoying.

"I need a drink," Giovanni mumbled quietly as he stood from Arielle's bed. "Come and find me in the dining room once you're done. Then we can talk about this shit more." Gio mumbled quietly as he moved towards the door. The Prince didn't even glance towards Arielle as she talked on her phone. There was nothing her parents or country could do. They agreed to all of the terms, rather Ari knew about that or not. She was destined to be bonded and she will be bitten sooner or later. He just had to be smart about the whole fucking thing. The last thing Gio wanted was to be bonded to a woman who wanted to fucking kill him.

Making his way towards the dining room, Gio instructed a bottle of wine on ice and some maccoran's to be ready for him. The staff rushed to go and tell the kitchen staff his instructions as Gio made his leisurely way towards the dining room. An just like clockwork, as soon as Gio sat down. A couple of servants came out with his wine and a tier of the maccaron's that he had requested. On a normal basis, Gio never ate sweets, but today he felt like he needed something sweet. Especially when he had to deal with a human with a wave of bitter anger that left a foul taste in his mouth.

Relaxing back in his seat, Giovanni waited for Arielle. Wondering how the call went and if they managed to tell her a lie that would calm her down to make her bearable once more. Raising his glass to his lips, Gio took a small sip. He wished he could go out to a party right about now, but he was still on fucking house arrest.

It was a little over a half an hour before Arielle walked into the dining room. Her eyes were a little red from crying but she had managed to cover it up rather well with some makeup. She walked slowly over to Giovanni, a deep frown on her face. Once she slid down into the seat besides him, Arielle leaned forward and laid her hands on the table before laying her head on top of them. This day was certainly not going the way she wished that it was.

"They said they were going to respect the vampire's council's wishes on this matter." Arielle whispered to him before letting out a sigh. This was certainly not what she had been expecting. While she had known that her parents might be fine with her getting bitten, she had at least hoped that they wouldn't want to do it until the marriage had occurred. The thought being that at least she wouldn't be bonded to the prince if for some reason the wedding was cancelled completely. But apparently, they just saw the bite as a guarantee of marriage happening.

The anger that had filled Arielle's being earlier was now gone and replaced with despair. She was beginning to feel powerless. If her parents and her country were not behind her on this issue, that limited her options greatly. There was only so much that she could try against governing officials in Giovanni's kingdom. Plus, the few ideas that Arielle did have to get out of it were probably going to get her into a lot of trouble. She was going to try and avoid getting bitten as best as possible but she also needed to consider the repercussions of her choices.

"I don't have any good ideas," Arielle mumbled. She had ideas but they were all troublesome. And she was sure that Giovanni wouldn't do any of them.

On a normal day, human food, in general, had no taste or very little. Macarons were no different, but the subtle sweetness in them was enough to caress his tongue. Allowing for a small taste other than the mouth-watering taste of fresh warm blood, or the cool bags of blood that they often have stored to feed on. Human blood goes bad quickly, so the vampires often have to add something to it and it tastes a little boring if it sat too long, otherwise, it tastes the same as fresh blood.

It was quiet in the dining room. The wine glass in Giovanni's hand had been filled twice already as he waited for Arielle to come and visit him. He was far from tipsy, but Gio still stated at the table and few missing places on the tier where a cookie once sat. His right pointer finger tapped the white-clothed table in a slow beat. Every couple of seconds, he's tap, wait a couple of seconds and then tap once again. His mind wandering over multiple things. How could he stop the bonding? How could he talk Arielle into allowing for the bite to happen? What could he have done differently? So many questions and so few answers.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the door creaked open and in walked Arielle. Giovanni's eyes slowly dragged up as the young girl sat next to him. He stared at her for a moment as he took in her posture and then looked ahead of himself once more. Staring at that same spot on the table. A little piece of lint that was laying so helplessly on the table. Waiting for someone to just pick it up or wipe it off of the clean table cloth.

Then, a small sigh escaped from the Prince as he raised his hands and rubbed tiredly at his eyes with his pointer finger and thumb. "You and me both." Giovanni murmured, tiredness filling his voice as he spoke. Lowering his hand back onto the table, Gio sat silently for a couple of seconds more before he parted his lips to speak. Closed then for a couple of seconds then opened them once more, getting the courage to speak to the young Princess. Saying something that he knew she would probably hate and start yelling at him for. "It's not bad to be bitten you know, we do have people who come to the castle regularly, or to our specialist bite clinic's to be bitten and fed on," Gio said his words quietly, slowly so that he didn't sound like he was pushing his words onto Arielle. "Plus, the bond grows weaker over time. Couples who bond tend to bite each other every few months or so."

As Gio spoke of getting bitten, Arielle's body immediately became tense and her heart rate shot through the roof. Her arms curled up tighter around herself, wanting to hide suddenly. The anxiousness that was already in her was rising back up fast. She could feel her eyes beginning to water up. The anger that had been at the forefront not long ago was now gone and she didn't currently have it in her to bring it back. What she felt was hopeless, feeling as though she was getting backed into a corner and the one person who had been on her side seemed to be flipping.

"Stop, Gio." Arielle said, her voice was strained as she spoke. "You are not going to change my mind on this. In this matter, I don't care about how others feel. I know how I feel and I am terrified. The thought of fangs cutting into my skin makes me feel physically ill. A-and then adding the fact that my blood will be drunk. That there will be holes in my skin afterward. And I am not foolish enough to believe that they won't make us do it time and time again to keep the bond that they are desperate for." Arielle stopped for a moment as she reached up and wiped some of the tears that were sliding down her cheeks. "Not that there is anything wrong with you but I don't want to be bonded either. I don't even fully grasp but it means but I know it's not for me."

Arielle slowly lifted her head from the table until she was sitting upright. Her body was shaking lightly now. "I understand that there is nothing more that I can reasonably ask you to do to help me get out of this. I have my own plans, and I know they are crazy and they might get me into a lot of fucking trouble but I am willing to do them by myself. I won't bring you down with me but...But please remember that you said you wouldn't do anything to hurt me."

The princess reached her shaky hands up again and wiped off a few more tears. "Unless there is something more you wanted to talk about, I want to go to my room now. I-It's been a horrible day." With the bite becoming a larger issue, Giovanni acting like an asshole in the morning and her parents basically betraying her for the fucking vampires, Arielle felt drained. "Can I go or are you going to be upset?" Arielle asked, her voice sounding tiny.

Never in his life did Giovanni feel as cold as he did right now. The warm iron liquid that granted him a life that he took from another pumped through his veins. His fists clenched tighter together, turning white at his knuckles. His head felt like it was swimming. It was a terrible feeling. It was terrible to be feeling like this, and the Prince didn't like this. They did something to his meal. A when Giovanni found out, he was going to make sure that they paid.

Pacing back and forth slowly, The waiting room that he was in was locked from the outside. There was no way out. Even with his vampire strength, the damn door held its ground. The windows were basically missile proof and he wasn't about to go and crawl through the fucking air ducts of his own fucking home. That was just preposterous! Who the hell does that sort of thing anyway? Who the fuck locks a person in a room of their own house?

A deep growl emitted from Giovanni's throat, vibrating through his chest as he stopped walking. His hands raised and he used the bottom part of his hand, just above the wrists to rub at his eyes in annoyance. He could feel a cold sweat breaking out. Something that only vampires that were under an opioid that was accepted for use in the need for extreme emergencies where information was required. The drug pumped through the vampires' system, making them feel like they're losing blood like they're being ripped apart from the inside. The only way to stop the madness was to drink blood, fresh, hot human blood. Right from the source if possible.

The sound of the doors locks caught Giovanni's attention. His arms pulled away from his face as he turned his head rapidly towards the door. His eyes were wide as he saw the door open. Ready to make a bolt and find the nearest human that signed a work order to say that she was okay to be fed from. Or guy, at the moment Giovanni wasn't picky about who he bit. As long as the burning and the pain disappeared. Then, at the sight of Arielle stepping into the room. Gio could have sworn that his dead heart had stopped beating completely. "No, no, no, no!" He repeated over and over. Stumbling back as he watched the door be pulled shut. Giovanni tripped over the coffee table but acted like he didn't care. He just kept scooting back as he stared wide eyes at Arielle.

"This, this can't be happening," Gio mumbled as he felt his back press against the wall. His head hitting the wall at the same time his back met it. "Stay. stay away from me!" Gio mumbled as he looked down at the ground. His eyes wide and his breaths coming in pants. It shouldn't be like this. This was blasphemy!

Arielle didn't think much of it when she was requested to speak with Gio and some of the council members. The princess was quite certain that she knew what this was going to be about and was more than prepared to speak her mind about it. Of course, Arielle wasn't going to mention that she was fearful of being bitten but she felt as though she had plenty of good points that might get them to agree to at least wait until the marriage had occurred.

One of the guards opened up a door and motioned for Arielle to head inside. It was a room she had never been to but once again, she didn't think anything of it. After all, the palace was quite large and she didn't just want into random rooms. As the door opened all the way, Arielle was able to see that Gio was inside but she was only able to take a step before she realized that something was wrong. The look on his face, the way he kept saying no, how he stumbled away from her. Arielle didn't know what was going on but she knew she needed to getaway.

The princess was quick to start backtracking but one of the guards was quick to press a hand against her back and shove Arielle in. As she fell to the floor, the man threw the door closed and locked it again. A little 'oof' left her as she hit the ground. Though with the panic now running through her body, Arielle was quick to get onto her knees and scramble back, her body pressing against the dor as Gio told her to stay away.

Worry for Gio was filling up Arielle's chest but she thought it was best to stay away and not to ask based on how the prince was acting. And, based on his words, it seemed that she needed to hightail it out of there. Arielle tried to open up the door, but once found that it was locked, started to hit her palms against it keeping an eye on Giovanni as she did so. "Help! We need help!" Arielle yelled, the stress clear in her voice. "Open this door immediately!"

Her chest grew tighter as she stood up and kept pounding at the door. Arielle didn't know what was going on but this sure as Hell didn't feel like an accident. Especially with the way a fucking guard pushed her in and locked the door.

This is bad, this is really fucking bad. How could this happen? Why did he accept the drink with his father's assistant. The damn man never offered Giovanni a drink in his life. Hell, til today he always thought that the man didn't drink. Seemed like that was still true though. Thinking back on it, did he even take a sip of the scotch that was offered? Had he even raised the drink to his lips? Had Gio just wondered into the trap like a little lamb that was being led to slaughter? DAMN IT!!

Blinking his dark eyes, the Prince focused his attention back onto the human princess that was across the room from him. Her panicked screams catching his attention first. Followed by the banging of those soft-skinned hands-on that reinforced door. Blook leaving those parts of her body and causing the body part to become discolored with a bruise that would surely hurt once she started to realize it was there. To Giovanni, Arielle seemed like a cry baby. Once she noticed her bruises she'd probably break down crying and realize that she hurt herself. A then beg the staff to get her something for the pain. Then cause hell to break out as she blamed everyone else for her misfortune.

Another growl escaped from Giovanni as he watched Arielle screaming for help. Her blood was pumping so fast through her veins that he could hear it a mile away. She was not helping her case in this situation. The damn idiot was making it harder for Gio. She was getting her heart pumping, allowing for all of that red liquid gold to flow through her veins. BEGGING for him to suck it from her body. Open an artery and drain her dry. To clear his system and become who he was, not this crazed monster.

"Ari." Giovanni's voice was deep, husky as he spoke. His head tilted downwards as he hid his darkening eyes from the young lady. The lighting was starting to cause his eyes to water and sting. Causing the headache he was feeling to intensify. Slowly, Giovanni licked over his lips and stood. He swayed back and forth a couple of times but eventually managed to stand up tall. His head was still downwards as he slowly stumbled towards the young human female. His fangs extended slightly, poking out of the corners of his lips. He needed a taste, just a small nip. It's all he wanted. It was all he needed. Her blood. All Giovanni needed at the moment was Arielle's blood and he'd be fine. He settles things with everyone out there. Just a drop. A small taste. That's all, that was all.

Arielle turned her head fully back to Giovanni when she heard another growl escape from him. It set her further on edge. There was something wrong with him. What, she didn't know but Arielle sure as Hell did not feel safe locked in a room with a vampire that seemed like they were losing it. She hit her hands harder against the door, now screaming at the top of her lungs. "There's something wrong with the Prince!"

God, she was sure that they knew but was hoping that there was some magic word to get those fuckers to open up the door. If she screamed hard enough, long enough? Maybe someone passing by would hear her. Someone who could help. Besides this though, she didn't know what else she could do. Giovanni told her to stay away and Arielle could see that something in him was shifting.

Though as her name left his lips, Arielle stopped banging her hands against the door and turned slowly to look at him. Fear was setting in and she could feel her body shaking. The adrenaline in her body was rushing through her and her fight or flight response was kicking in. Arielle wanted to run but there was nowhere to run to. She watched as the prince stood up and started to sway. "Gio?" Arielle whispered, not sure what he was going to do next. But the moment he took a small step towards her, she pressed herself hard against the wall.

"Stop! Don't you come any closer, Giovanni!" Arielle tried to command, tried to make her voice sound strong but it was riddled with fear. The princess looked around frantically and quickly noticed a vent above her. Grabbing a chair close by, Arielle pulled it close to her. "I'll get you help just stay where you are! I-I'll climb through the air ducts. It's going to be okay, I promise. Please, Gio," As she spoke, Arielle reached into her pocket, using the chair in front of herself to block Giovanni from seeing that she was pulling out a blessed silver coin. She had no idea if it was going to work but fuck, she might need to try. Arielle shifted, ready to jump onto the chair and try to scramble herself into the ceiling as fast as possible.

In the blink of an eye, Giovanni moved across the room. Going from the far corner of the room to where Arielle stood against the wall. His head was still held down, and he swayed a little from that exertion of power, but he still stood. He still had the energy to clench and unclench his fists. Ready to reach out and attack anyone that was in front of him. Ready to take what was rightfully his. What he craved. What he NEEDED.

"Ari, Arielle," Giovanni mumbled, then let out a small dark chuckle. A sick and twisted smile displaying on his lips as he slowly raised his head. Revealing his eyes that had gone black like the ferals that they ran into when they first met. Except, this was an induced feral reaction. Not an actual feral, so he had control of his speech and motor skills. Giovanni cocked his head to the side and grinned. His tongue darted out like a snakes and lapped at his lips. Tasting the air that was around them. They weren't even bonded, but he could taste the fear as it washed over Arielle. Her words were meaningless to him.

Then, without breaking eye contact with the human that was in front of him. Gio swept his arm out, throwing the chair that was acting like a little shield for the little human out of his way. Ignoring the sound of the wood smashing against the wall. Or looking at the damage that he had now caused. A small chuckle escaped from Gio, small and deep, the sound so unlike Gio that it was like he was possessed rather than drugged.

Raising his hands, Giovanni placed them both on either side of Arielle's shoulders as he stared at her with his cold dark eyes. "You smell delicious." Giovanni's tongue darted out once more, wetting his lips. "Your fear is slowing out of you in waves. I love it." Giovanni moved to lean in close to the Princesses neck. His head tilting to the side as he went in for a sniff, and if she didn't move, then he'd just get the bite over with and sink his teeth into that pretty little skin of her.

Arielle was sure that that dark chuckle alone was enough to kill her. Just the fear that was pumping in her, how fast her heartbeat was running and the blood rushing through her. It was too much for one human to handle and Arielle felt sure that she was going to have a heart attack. That the feeling that was consuming her would manage to shut her body down for good. For better or for worst though, she stayed standing and alive.

Although she tried her best to back away, all she met was the wall. Her eyes glanced over the smile on his face, god how she wanted to rip it off. And as he lifted up his head to reveal his eyes, a gasp left her lips. Some idea of what was occurring crossed her mind but what was happening didn't matter as much as trying to figure out how to getaway. Though she couldn't help but question horrifyingly if this situation was supposed to just hurt her, scare her or kill her. And it was hard to piece together if Giovanni was doing this willingly or not. "You don't want to do this," Arielle whispered to him, her voice cracking. "Please, you promised. You promised"

As he threw the chair to the side, Arielle shuddered and in a moment, Giovanni was on top of her. Her hands started to ball up into fists as she tried to make a quick decision of what to do. But it was hard to think as the prince was talking about her fear. But the moment he leaned into her neck, Arielle sprung into action. She refused to stand there and be bitten. The princess was ready to fight until she died to keep those fangs out of her. "Gio, it doesn't have to be like this."

Her hand flew forward, pressing the blessed coin against Giovanni's cheek. She tried her best to shove his face away from her while also hoping that the coin would do something to the prince. Arielle had no idea if it would work and now was the time to find out. But the moment Giovanni moved in reaction, the coin slipped between her palm and his face. Not taking a moment to see what it did, if anything, to the prince, Arielle shoved her shoulder into his chest as hard as she could.

The princess managed to scramble under his arm and to the broken chair, Arielle grabbed onto a piece of it, holding the back support of the chair out. Two breaks where the chair was attached to the seat almost were like stakes. Shitty stakes, but nonetheless, hopefully, enough to keep him away. "Come closer and I'll stab you!" Arielle threatened. Although, she wasn't sure she would actually stake him if he did take that bet but she would sure as Hell hit him with it.

An irritated sort of growl escaped from Giovanni when Arielle pressed something against his cheek. He raised his head ever so slowly, a look of irritation appearing on his face. The little coin dropped to the floor and revealing that it did little to nothing to the young man's face. It was a useless piece of trash. Something a scam artist must have sold her because a real blessed cold would have sent the Prince screaming for the hills.

"Oh, little princess." Giovanni murmured as he slowly turned around as Arielle ran for the broken chair pieces in the corner of the room. A small smirk playing along his lips as he watched her try and protect herself. "You really think that'd protect you? Little Human?" He mused, standing up straight. Giovanni cracked his head to the right side and then to the left. The sound of his neck cracking echoed slightly in the room, then in an instant, he was once again in front of her. His right arm reached out and he easily smacked the chair out of her grip.

Reaching out, Giovanni grabbed onto Arielle's wrists and held them above her head as he pressed her back against the wall. Making sure to step onto the wooden chair pieces and having their deafening cracking sounds fill the air. "You're so pathetic, Arielle. Was that all you could do?" He asked, leaning forward once more and taking in a deep breath of the young woman's delicious scent. Intoxicating, hypnotic, a plethora of yums and they all made the young male's mouth water with the need, the desire to sink his teeth into her flesh. So, he did.

Without any warning, Giovanni opened his mouth and sank his fangs into the side of Arielle's neck. The warm liquid from her veins washed into his mouth and caused a low moan to escape from Gio. His eyes rolled back into his head in pure bliss as he slowly started to drink in her blood. The taste was like everything he's ever dreamed of an more. So rich and creamy, so unique. So, Arielle. Moving closer to Arielle, Giovanni pressed his body against hers to keep her from moving as he drank. Wanting to feel her body's reaction as he drained her of her precious life source.

A squeal of terror left her lips as Giovanni smacked the chair out of her grip. And, before she knew it, her wrists were being grabbed and her body pressed against the cold wall. The tears that had been threatening to bubble up under the surface were now at the forefront as Giovanni taunted her. She wasn't pathetic. It wasn't her fault that she couldn't protect herself against a literal killing machine. Though still those words sunk deep into Arielle, only solidifying the fears she already had. She couldn't stop a vampire from having their way.

Arielle tried her best to pull out of his grip that were around her wrists. She tried to slide away from the wall, so she was no longer pressed between it and Giovanni. Though she could barely move an inch with how Giovanni had her pinned. He was too strong. "Please," Arielle cried out. "Please don't d-do this. Gio...Gio just let me go. God, please. I-I'll do anything. Just don't bite me. Please, Giovanni. PLEASE." Arielle begged to him, hoping it would do something.

Suddenly, Arielle felt his fangs sink into the side of her neck. A scream of pure, unadulterated agony left the woman. Streams of tears ran down her face and Arielle did everything she could to get Giovanni off of her. At first, she seemed stronger than before as she threw her whole body this way and that to get out from under him, to get his fangs off of her. She tried kicking him and even throwing her body down but even with all of that, Arielle felt like she was going nowhere. And soon she felt the energy draining from her body, growing weaker with every gulp the vampire took. Even her screaming became less intense until it stopped completely and Arielle was just choking on her tears.

"I. Hate. You." Arielle managed to choke out. Although her voice wasn't very strong anymore, the words were potent, coming out hard and harsh. Slowly, her body grew limp against him, her head falling forward as she could barely lift it up. Though, without warning, Arielle felt the prince getting ripped off of her, which caused her to get dropped onto the group. She couldn't even look around, instead, using the last bit of energy she had to reach up to her bleeding neck. Her nails started to dig into her skip, visibly trying to rip off the part of her neck that had been bitten as she sobbed. Scratching at it. Pulling at her skin. Trying to literally take out a chunk of her neck. The last thing she felt before passing out were hands wrapping around her wrists again, pulling them off of her body.

Sweet, warm, savory, salty. Those were the main factors in how Arielle tasted to him. The Prince of the Vampires. The soon to be the ruler of the darkness. The iron in Arielle's blood washed away everything that's wrong with Giovanni. He could feel his body cooling down. His body coming back together. The feeling of going crazy ebbing away by the warmth that came from Arielle. She was saving him, and she didn't even know it.

A small groan escaped from Giovanni as he slowly detached his fangs from Arielle's neck. His tongue darted out and licked over his, savoring the last few drops that were resting on his lips. Then, he slowly opened his eyes and looked down at Arielle who crumpled to the floor. His eyes widened as he watched her silently. Sobbing, a wreck of the strong-headed girl that she had once been. Her words echoed in his mind as he watched her. She hated him, Arielle hated him. She really meant those words as well. Arielle hated him.

"Hey, hey, hey." Giovanni's words rushed out as he tried to stop her from tearing her neck open. "Stop, Arielle. Stop, you're going to hurt yourself!" Gio tried to get through, but it was seeming like it was almost impossible. "STOP!" Gio yelled as he grabbed her wrists once again and held them away from her neck. Trying to protect her from hurting herself even more than she had already had. Then how he had already done.

Acting quick, Giovanni put both of her wrists into one of his own. His body pressed against Arielle's as he kept her standing up. Reaching over with his free hand, Gio bit how to own wrist and brought it to Arielle's mouth. Smearing his own blood to her lips. It didn't matter how much she took from him, as long as she got a drop on her tongue, then the whole thing was a success. The mating bite was complete and they were now connected for the next few years to come.

"It's done! Let us out!" Giovanni called, his voice soft as he looked down at Arielle. A look of pain was evident on his face. He had no idea how to react right now. She looked do hurt, so betrayed. It sucked, it sucked really badly. Hearing the door open, Giovanni waited for the guards to come into the room, followed by the medical staff before slowly releasing Arielle. Helping to lower her body before the medical staff was able to get her restrained and take her to get treated for her blood loss and panic episode.

    -Time Skip-

Since Arielle had woken up from unconsciousness, everything had really been nothing more than a blur to her. There were just little things that stuck in her head but it felt like everything else had been moving too fast for her to concept what was happening. Like, she remembered waking up and just screaming. Screaming so much, so loud that her throat still felt sore now from it. But how Arielle managed to stop was out of her memory.

There had been someone sitting next to her, at one point. At least Arielle thought that might be the case. Her head slowly turned to the side of the bed to see that the chair next to it was empty. Perhaps no one had been there at all. She couldn't be sure, her head felt too murky. But Arielle did vaguely remember a woman speaking softly. Only a few words of that conversation stuck out in her mind. Something about a calming effect...Something else about an injury.

The princess tried to lift her hands up but found that something was keeping them down. She lifted her head up for a moment and glanced down, seeing that they were restrained to the bed. A whimper left her as she laid her head back onto the bed. Arielle wanted to rub her face, to try and wipe away the drowsiness that was overcoming her. And she really wanted to remove whatever was wrapped around the side of her neck. It was so uncomfortable.

Arielle couldn't even recall how long it had been since she first woke up. It had definitely been longer than minutes...maybe only a few hours? Or perhaps, was it days? No longer than a week, the princess felt somewhat sure of that.

When one of the nurses walked into her room, Arielle turned her head slowly to her, only able to keep her eyes somewhat open. The nurse smiled softly down at Arielle as she walked up to the bed and adjusted a few things so that the princess could be more comfortable. "How are you feeling?" The nurse asked, her voice sweet like honey.

"I want..." Arielle took in a deep breath before continuing on. "home. Go home,"

"Ah, I am sorry princess but I can't send you home yet. But we can take these restraints off soon, how would that feel?" Arielle nodded slowly in agreement. "Yes...please. Now?"

"Not yet but today." The nurse said softly, a gentle smile on her lips. "But I heard you'll have some visitors soon. Won't that be good?"

She was awake, Arielle was awake. It was such a weird thought to Giovanni, but he knew that Arielle was awake somehow. He could feel it, almost envision her being awake. Hoe awake though, he wasn't sure. He didn't know if she was still drowsy if she was fully awake. He could just feel her heartbeat change, alerting him to her. Letting him know that a change had occurred to her resting position.

Raising from his seat in the hallway, Giovanni watched as the nurse that was in charge of Arielle came out. He cleared his throat to get the woman's attention, and as soon as she saw him, she bowed. "Your grace, how nice of you to stop by." The woman said, speaking politely as well as quietly so that they didn't draw any unwanted attention from passing staff if there were any. "How is she doing? Is she awake?" Gio asked as he watched the woman with wary eyes.

"She's doing great." The nurse said, offering Giovanni a small smile. "Her levels are stabilizing nicely, and she doesn't seem to have anything seriously wrong." That caused a small sigh of relief to escape from Giovanni. "She's currently still being restrained for her own safety though." That caused the Prince to wince slightly. "Can I go and see her?" Gio asked, feeling a little unsure now that he learned that she was still being restrained. That could mean many things, and none of the ones that filled Gio's head were ones that caused him to relax.

Glancing towards the closed door that belonged to Arielle, the Nurse debated for a couple of moments. Then. he slowly nodded her head in agreement. "Yes, but if any signs of distraught, you must leave her alone. Alright?" The nurse informed him. "Yes, ma'am." Gio murmured, reached for the bouquet of flowers that were on the bench he was sitting on and walked towards the door.

The nurse knocked a couple of times lightly before nodding for Gio to head into the room. "Thank you," Gio said quietly before he moved towards the door and opened it slowly. "Ari?" Gio asked, his voice quiet. His nerves through the roof. He was worried that she would be angry, that she'd not want to see him. Hopefully, she would listen to him before freaking out on him.

Hearing her nickname, Arielle slowly opened up her eyes and turned her head. She could see that someone was walking towards her and it took a few moments before eyes adjusted to see that it was a man. A familiar man... It took a few moments before it started to click in her head. The prince. Vampire prince. Gio...Giovanni. Prince Giovanni. Why was he here? Why was she even here? Arielle could feel herself mentally trying to pull it all together. Like she was trying to build a puzzle that she didn't have the image for.

"Gio," Arielle whispered back to him. She tried to push herself up a bit and move her hands into her lap. Though once again, she found that her wrists were strapped down to the bed, having already forgotten momentarily. "My hands." Arielle murmured as she looked down at them once again. It took a moment but she relaxed her arms again. The nice nurse said she would take it off soon. How long ago did she say that?

This sucked. Arielle hated how she felt. She knew that something was clogging up her head. Something there that was making everything feel surreal and out of reach. Arielle felt as though she was dreaming. As time wasn't real and anything that wasn't in front of her didn't exist. Plus there was an underlying anxiousness living in her chest but even that didn't feel like her own. But she knew what was happening in front of her was real and it was just her head that was messed up. Everything else, however, was a mystery.

Her eyes slowly lifted and Arielle turned her attention back to Giovanni. She blinked slowly, still feeling her brain trying to fit the puzzle together. "My head..." Arielle whispered after a moment before shifting her eyes down to the tube in her arm, hoping that Giovanni would see what she was looking at. She couldn't remember the words she was looking for. "They messed up my head," Arielle eventually got out, though that didn't seem quite right either. But she just wanted to get her point across.

"Something's not right," She whispered, the nagging feeling in her head was poking at her.

The sight of the Princess on that hospital bed tugged at his heartstrings. She was cuffed, restrained to protect herself. She looked so pale still, did he really take that much blood from her? Was it the medicine that was causing the paleness of her skin? He wasn't really sure, but he hoped that it was the latter. He couldn't bear with himself if she had been in danger because of how much he had taken from her.

"Yeah, it's me." Was all Gio said as he stepped into the room and quietly closed the door before he moved towards her slowly. Being careful to not cause any sudden movements in case it caused her to feel sick to her stomach or something. His dark eyes roamed over the young woman on the bed. His heart aching a little bit more as he took in the tubes, the bruises forming on her wrists. A small frown slowly appeared on his lips, this wasn't supposed to have happaned. Not like this, never like this.

Noticing the shifting of her eyes. A small sigh escaped from Gio as he pursed his lips together and looked back into her eyes. He moved towards Arielle and slowly sat on the edge of the bed. "It's to help the pain, you had an accident, but things are going to be okay." He said softly, and then held out the flowers that he had been hiding behind his back. Sunflowers and roses were supposedly becoming popular for gifts, so that's what he had brought for Arielle. He reached over and placed them on the side table before sitting up straighter. "Are you feeling okay? Any pain?" He asked, glancing towards the Princess's face, hoping that she wouldn't notice the sorrow that he was feeling yet. He couldn't tell her how sorry he was yet, he didn't know-how.

"Accident," Arielle repeated back to Gio slowly. She couldn't remember anything about an accident or how she ended up there. Though, still, she could feel her mind slowly shifting the puzzle pieces that were her memories. The only thing that slowly clicked was punching some strange man at a strange house. Did that have something to do with it?

A warm but drugged up smile came along Arielle's face as the flowers were pulled out from Gio's back. Her eyes glanced over the lovely bouquet, even her head slowly turning to follow the gift as the prince set it down beside her bed. Although Arielle's hospital room was nice, she felt more drawn to the flowers than anything else. Especially as it was truly the only bright thing in what was a rather calming and neutral room. "Thank you," She murmured softly as she fixated on one of the rose petals in particular.

Though as Gio asked about how she was feeling, Arielle's attention shifted back to the man in front of her. She was quiet for a long moment, trying to take a moment to evaluate how she felt. "I feel... seasick." Arielle slowly settled on that description of how she felt. "I'm floating, but my head it... my head doesn't fit." Arielle paused for another moment before continuing. "That's now right, is it? Not seasick but..." She let out a small sigh.

"Why are you here?" Arielle asked after a moment. Her glazed over eyes were filling with confusion. But not even a full two seconds later, Arielle was suddenly laughing. It was a bit rough because of her sore throat but still carried on melodiously. "I remember now." She murmured slowly, another piece clicking in as she remembered him kissing her on a couch. Something about fiance was ringing in her head as well.

As Arielle spoke, Giovanni's lips pursed together and his head nodded ever so slightly. His eyes glancing towards her bandaged neck every now and again before looking back into those beautiful eyes that she possessed. "No no, seasick is a good description for what you're feeling. I understand what you mean." He told her in a calming voice, trying to sound as supportive as he possibly could at the moment. "It's a good word to use, Ari, it's a good word."

Slowly, as Arielle continued to speak and tell Gio about how she remembered what happaned. He couldn't help the slight tension that formed in his body. If Arielle remembered, then she would really hate him. Then she would snap and try to possibly kill him, or herself. Or both of them. She would cause so much freaking havoc that he wouldn't know what to do with her. He very well couldn't keep her cuffed to the hospital bed and on drugs for the rest of her mortal life. That would be horrible, but, what else could he possibly do to her?

"Arielle." Giovanni started to say quietly and then stopped himself. His gaze looking down at his hands that were folded together in his lap. "Please don't think about it, alright?" He said quietly, hoping that their newly formed mating bond would allow for her to realize how deeply sorry he was about the whole thing. "Some things are better forgotten then being relived over and over. So please, don't think about what happaned." His eyes were focused downwards, refusing to meet Ari's eyes. His head hurt just thinking about all of the nasty things that she could yell at him. About how upset she probably was about the whole thing. As if it was his fault to begin with. Hell, he was on her side, but his hands were just as tied as hers were.

Another sudden wash of sadness came over Arielle as Giovanni was speaking nonsense about forgetting something. It was a strange feeling as she felt that the feeling hard in her chest while still having a distance to it. As though the emotion was heard but was not actually her own. Arielle's face contorted into confusion for a moment, not enjoying the emotion that was now in her for what it seemed, no good reason. Though her face relaxed after a moment as the feeling she described as the seasickness took over, making even that feel like just another random feeling that floated around.

"Don't think about it," Arielle repeated back to him after a moment. "You...want me to forget your my fiance?" Her head turned to glance up at the flowers for a moment. It was a long stare before her head tilted back to look along Giovanni's face. "At least I think you are." As she was saying those words, there was something about it that felt both like the truth and a lie. Her eyes shifted to the side before she spoke again. "Did I break up with you?"

Arielle turned her head to look at him again, feeling something wrong about this situation as a whole. "You look...." A small little frustrated sigh left her as she couldn't pull the word she wanted from her memory. There was something to describe his whole demeanor. Though she shook her head a bit, unable to get it to come to her mind. So she went with the second best thing that would come to her. "Wrong." When it left her lips, Arielle let out a small whimper of frustration. "No... that's not right... Like you.." Her eyes squinted. "Like you hit a cat....you killed the cat."

A frustrated whimper left Arielle again and she started to pull on the restraints around her wrist. "Enough," She said as she pulled a little harder. "I don't feel right. My head." When she couldn't free herself, Arielle's wrists fell back into the bed. Though she turned her head and pressed the side of her neck with the bandage against her shoulder. She then started to rub her head and shoulder together, now trying to get the bandage on her neck off. "Off."

She looked up at Giovanni, now beginning to tear up. "Gio... Get it off." She let out a shaky, upset sigh before she rolled her neck so it was open again. Then she lifted her wrists up as far as she could. "Off, please. I want to go home." She whimpered. "Help. Please help."
