Himchan smiled as he looked at his beautiful daughter playing with her toys from his spot on the couch with his laptop in front of him. She was so sweet and kind. He loved her to bits but his new job required a lot of his attention and he had nobody else to babysit her. Her mother had left her with Himchan before vanishing. His parents were on vacation. He had nobody.

He started to type up an ad. Babysitter wanted. I have a beautiful five year old little girl who needs to be watched during the day and sometimes night. Will pay 500 a week. Himchan wrote his name, his number and a bit more about himself and his daughter before he posted the ad.

Youngjae sighed as he sat down in his college dorm. He needed a new job to pay his tuition or else he’d be kicked out.

He saw an ad on Craigslist and immediately texted the number.

‘Hi. I saw your ad about needing a babysitter.’

‘Yeah I need somebody to babysit my daughter during weekdays and weekends. I work a lot and I need somebody to start immediately. Would you mind if we met in person and had a discussion before this goes any further?’

‘Of course. I’m free right now, where would you like to meet?’ Youngjae sent back before getting up to change out of his school uniform and into some casual clothes, his ripped skinnies, and one of his oversized sweaters and some beat up converse.

‘The coffee shop across from Seoul’s law office building,’ he texted back before picking up his daughter and walking out to his car. He strapped her in before getting in the car himself and driving towards the coffee shop.

Youngjae replied with a quick ‘okay’ before leaving his dorm and going to his car. He drove to the coffee shop, wondering if he should text Himchan.

‘I’m here. Do you want me to go inside or wait outside for you?’

He didn’t text back until he got there. He got out of the car, after texting him that he would meet him inside before he went and got his MoonByul out of the car. He walked inside the coffee shop, balancing her on one hip, realizing he didn’t know what this guy looked like or his name.

Youngjae had already went inside and looked up whenever someone came in. He wondered if this was Himchan, he was the only person in here with a small child. ‘I think I just saw you walk in. I’m sitting in the back in the light pink sweater.’ Youngjae tester him.

Himchan looked down at his phone before looking up, scanning the shop until he saw a young male in a pink sweater. He walked over to him with MoonByul clinging to him. He sat down across from Youngjae, ‘hello. My name is Himchan. This is MoonByul. What’s your name?’

“Youngjae. It’s nice to meet you, both of you.” Youngjae said, standing to bow to Himchan before giving Moonbyul a smile.

MoonByul looked at Youngjae.

‘Tell me about yourself Youngjae. Also do you have childcare experience?’

“I’m a part time college student, studying to be a teacher, and yes, I do. I used to babysit kids in my neighborhood and also my brother’s kids back home.” Youngjae explained.

Himchan nodded, ‘well what’s your availability because I need someone to watch MoonByul while I work during the day and sometimes I work at night.’

“I can switch my classes to online courses for now. I’m always available at night though.” Youngjae explained.

He nodded, ‘MoonByul can you say hi to Youngjae,’ he smiled down at his daughter.

Youngjae smiled, “hi, you’re just too cute for your own good.” He smiled at the little girl.

She looked at Youngjae, smiling sweetly.

‘She likes you.’

“Does she?” Youngjae smiled, straightening up.

‘She only smiles at people she likes.’
