Rian took a deep breath as she sat in the backseat of the limo that was driving her to new home. She was nervous about this whole situation. This would be the first time she was going to meet her future husband. Her father was sick and so he thought it would be best for her to be married to a rich man before he died. Her heart began to pound as the car stopped and the driver came, opening the door for her and helping her out. He then lead her inside the house.

Jensen sat on the couch of the home of his soon to be in-laws. Today he was going to meet his soon to be bride. It was something that he was nervous about. It’s was about 2 months before the wedding but he wanted her to get settled in before so they could get used to each other. He had been in the market for a wife and her family needed money, not wanting their daughter to be left with nothing.

Looking at her reflection in the mirror, Samantha sighed and headed towards the door. If she was honest, she didn't want to get married and especially not to some stranger that she hadn't even met. Money... she was being given away for money and that isn't how she saw herself living.

His parents had told him that he would love his bride to be, they'd described her as pretty and intelligent. So she was good looking and had a brain, but would there be a connection. He didn't really agree with arranged marriages, but it was his families way of doing things and he wasn't one to argue against tradition. Hearing the front door, Jared stood and watched as their driver led the girl inside.

"Hi," Jared greeted with a soft smile, nodding at his driver and motioning for the nervous looking girl to sit, "I'm Jared."

Rian followed the driver. Her heart still beating fast as she made her way inside, looking around as she walked. “Hello” she said sweetly as she sat down across from him. “I’m Rian” she then added. She wasn’t sure what to say. “This is a beautiful home” she then added.

Jensen waited patiently for Samantha. He was looking around the small room. This was a strange situation, pretty awkward. He stayed silent as he sat alone in the room.

"Thank you," Jared replied with a small smile, "It's home."

Although Jared loved his parents, being made to stay at home wasn't exactly his idea of a future and he had plans that would take him away from them. This marriage to him was much more than a piece of paper, it was freedom and the chance to share his life with someone that he truly cared about.

Knowing that she couldn't keep her suiter waiting forever, Samantha took one last look in the mirror and made her way downstairs. There was no denying that the man sat in her parents living room was handsome, but she was unsure to whether there was much else beyond looks and that scared her.

"Hi," Samantha greeted as she joined him.

Rian smiled softly as she relaxed against the chair, playing with the hem of dress. Their wedding date was already set for 6 weeks which caused her some anxiety since they were strangers. “So what would you like to talk about?” She asked as she looked down at her hands.

Jensen stood when Samantha walked downstairs. “Hello” he said before gently grabbing her hand and kissing it. “How are you doing?” He asked. He knew this must be awkward since they were strangers that were going get married.

Jared could tell that Rian was nervous, he was too and wished that he could make things easier on her. Thinking for a few seconds on how he could answer her question, he smiled to himself and spoke.

"I want to take you on a date, but you choose what we do... go see a movie, mini golf, dinner."

"I'm okay," Samantha replied, although her stomach was twisted in knots and her hands were trembling from nerves, "Sorry for keeping you waiting..."

Rian smiled a little when he mentioned a date. “That sounds nice. I would love that” she said as she relaxed a little in her seat. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad

Jensen smiled. “It’s okay. Are you ready to go?” He asked her. He was going to try to do everything in his power to make this process easier for her.

Relaxing as Rian agreed, Jared smiled and noticed how the tension in her shoulders seemed to lessen slightly. Everything about this was awkward, being thrown together and he just wanted to at least do it the right way.

"Yes," Samantha replied with a small smile, collecting her denim jacket from the back of the sofa and following Jensen outside.

Rian watched him. “What would you like to go do?” She asked, wanting him to decide. She was fine with going on a date. She figured it would make things less awkward between them.

Jensen opened the door for her and walked with her outside. Once outside, he opens the car door. He didn’t get in the car until she got in. “Would you like to go to dinner or maybe a movie?” He asked, not wanting to force her into anything.

"How about mini golf?" Jared suggested with a shrug, "Let's have some fun... who wants to be stuck in some restaurant."

Climbing into the car, Samantha offered Jensen a grateful smile and nod in response to his question. "Dinner sounds great."

Rian smiled. "Sounds good" she said. She was in a sundress that her mother had picked out for her. It complimented her skin tones, features and her body type. "Is this alright to go in?" she then asked. She had never been to play mini golf before. She wasn't sure if there was dress code that needed to be followed.

Jensen smiled and started the car. "Dinner it is then" he said as he pulled out of the driver. He couldn't help but think about how beautiful Samantha was and hoped they had a connection. "So tell me a little about yourself" he then said after a few moments of silent driving.

"You look great," Jared reassured her with a smile, leading her outside to his own car and opening the door for her, "Let's go have some fun."

"Erm... I'm from a small family that owns a small farm that's seen better days," Samantha said, unsure what he wanted to know and trying to think of things that weren't too boring, "I've helped my family out since I was young, but what I really want to do is study to be a journalist and report on things that are real. Not celebrities, or politicians... just ordinary people with problems."

Rian followed him outside to his car, butterflies going crazy in her stomach. She smiled at him as she got into the car.

Jensen listed to her telling him her story and about herself. "That is great. I won't keep you from becoming a Journalist" he said. Samantha would be free to go for her dreams. She was not a prisoner; she was going to be his partner hopefully.

The drive over to the mini-golf place was quiet, but comfortable and Jared couldn't help the excitement he felt. He didn't know Rian as much as he would have liked just yet, but he definitely felt a connection and that was somewhere that they could start to build.

"That's good to know," Samantha replied with a smile, feeling comfortable as they hit the road and listening to the music that played quietly in the background, "So, what are your dreams for the future?"

Rian looked out the window at the passing surroundings. She had never been in this town before. “Is there any place do you like to go around here?” She then asked, breaking the comfortable silence.

Jensen smiled. “Just to be happy with someone. Maybe have a small family of it it’s something my wife would be infested in” he said. He wanted a family but wasn’t going to force it on her.

Jared thought for a few moments, before smiling and taking a right turn. There was a mini-golf place a little out of town, far enough that nobody knew who he was and didn't stare.

Samantha smiled, she'd always wanted a family and it was nice knowing that her dream was shared by the man she was going to marry. Jensen ticked a lot of the boxes she had mapped in her head, supported her dreams, intelligent, handsome, sweet and she knew that he was perfect match for her.

Rian was a little confused when he didn’t answer her. Maybe he didn’t hear her or he didn’t want to answer it. “Was my question okay?” She then asked, looking down at her hands.

Jensen smiled as he pulled up to his house. Which was a large but beautiful house. Once they stopped, he got out and opened the door for her.

"I'm sorry," Jared replied, glancing over and offering her a smile, "I wasn't ignoring you... I know a place that's a little out of town."

Samantha climbed out and stared up at the house in awe, glancing over at Jensen with a frown. "Is this your house?"

Rian nodded. “Alright. Sounds good” she said. She looked at her hands. She wasn’t sure what to say or do next.

Jensen nodded. “Do you like it?’ He asked. “You will have your own for a time for your comfort” he then said as he lead her inside.
