A small hum escaped from the god of the underworld as he moved towards where he had left his drink. Raising it to his lips, Hades turned towards the door as he watched Persephone rush through it. The little reveal of everything had gone as good as he had thought it would. He knew she'd run from him, but, what he wanted to really see, was that look of realization when she learned he was going to marry her. That look, was all it took to warm the gods heart and make him feel alive for the first time in centuries.
In a way, it was quite sick. Getting pleasure from others distress, from watching white turn to black, but it was just who he was. There was no changing Hades, he was the king of the underworld, he's been in the dark since the time he was conceived by his titan parents.
Finishing his drink, Hades casually set it on top of the fireplace. His servants were sure to pick it up eventually, or else. Then, he started to calmly walk out of his office, ready to trail behind Persephone to make sure that she didn't get herself hurt or lost. That was the last thing that the King of the dead wanted right now, a lost goddess in his realm? Ugh, Zeus would find that to be hilarious.
"Don't stray to far, the souls of the damn like to pull people in." Hades called as he spotted Persephone at the threshold of his palace. "They could very well taint your soul or worst, try to steal your powers." He told her, finding it pointless in letting her find out the consequences on her own if she fell in.
Slowly, Hades licked his lips as he slowed his walk. "Why don't you rest for a while? I can show you around once you've gotten a few hours of rest." Although the amount of light in the underworld wouldn't change, Hades knew that some gods needed sleep to recuperate their energy and get a clearer mind on things.
