Savannah had her life together, kind of. Okay, not really at all. She found herself in a sticky situation, that only seemed to get worse the longer the day went on, and that's the very condensed version of how she'd ended up leaving someone at the altar. But the thing was she didn't even feel bad about it. At least not for him, more for herself. She'd given him everything, they'd been in agreement that they wanted to spend their lives together, they wanted to start a family, today was supposed to be a big deal. A huge day. She was supposed to be married by now. She glanced at the clock on the cab she was in and sighed. Right now she should be home packing her bags to leave for her honeymoon, but instead, she found herself in a wedding dress, in the back of a cab, on her way to NYC. And the city was in the totally opposite direction than her house. But she needed to leave. She had to get away from it all. There was no way she was going back there. Savannah would much rather run away from this small problem than face it head-on. She didn't even know how to face it at all really. How was she supposed to explain to people that she couldn't marry Michael because she'd literally walked in on him and her maid of honor getting down and dirty with each other? Or how she had a feeling this wasn't the first time they'd been together?

She did not want to start off a marriage like that. And Savannah refused to 'love him through this' as some people might tell her. But she'd been burned before and not again. She shouldn't have to love him through something stupid like this. He should've learned to keep it in his pants, and he should've been honest with her from the get-go. If she didn't make him happy, and he didn't really want to marry her then he should've told her. Because she wasn't about to play second place to her own husband, so it was a good thing she'd left when she did.
Charlie leaned back into the chair he was sitting in with his coffee in hand perfectly content with how life was at the moment. Things were going well for him, his job was booming he was still in good standing with his small group of close-knit friends, and things were just good overall. He would've been fine if things never had to change if they could just stay like this forever. That thought was cut extremely short however when they all noticed it, Savannah Johnson, rolling into their coffee shop in a wedding dress clearly distraught.

He knew this was when it was all over for them. Maybe that was aggressive, but he knew that everything was going to change for them because this girl was the only girl ever that Austin wouldn't shut up about. He'd totally had a thing for her since they were in high school, though he'd never acted on it. Probably because she was Ava's best friend and there was some unspoken thing there. But still, Austin didn't shut up about her. Charlie wouldn't say that Austin had been talking about her a lot recently, but they'd all kind of lost touch with her about a year and a half ago. She'd met some dude her family was really connected with and that was kind of that. She went on her way and next thing they all knew she was getting married, which clearly today was the wedding day. So he was a little shocked and concerned that she was there rather than at her wedding.

"I wonder what's doing here?" He said hopefully soft enough that she wouldn't hear him.

Austin groaned as he walked into the coffee shop wondering where his life had gone wrong. He had good grades in high school and went to college and became a paleontologist . He dated his college sweetheart and even married her, it was all great until he found her making out with some random man who he was sure Emma was sleeping with. That made him angry, thinking about it. Needless to say they got a divorce, things were just not meant to be. Here he was finding himself thinking about Savannah again, that beautiful woman he had fallen for ten years or so ago. He couldn’t get the guts to ask her out though. Now he was here sitting with his sister and bet friend debating on what they were going to do for their free weekend. Austin was still kind of depressed over his failed marriage, how could he have been so damn stupid? Everything else was great, he was doing what he loved he moved into a nice apartment but his romantic life seemed to be falling apart. Maybe if he wasn’t so awkward at times and didn’t soar out random trivia he’d be fine.

Austin was just dwelling as he drank his cup of coffee when he had noticed everyone’s attention go elsewhere. He looked up confused, was that Savannah in a wedding dress? How could he forget she was getting married today and apparently it hasn’t happened. She was very upset and normally Austin would go and ask if she was okay but this seemed more appropriate if his sister Ava took care of it. They had been best friends after all, he looked over at his sister who was organizing some papers, she was OCD about keeping things clean and organized.. “Ava..” he whispered trying To catch her attention without being so loud m.
Ava was too busy looking over her resume, she hoped this restaurant would hire her, Ava needed a different scene. Her current job was just not working out for her, it didn’t let her try to make new items or experiment with the menu, she huffed as she continue to write things down. Ava needed a new job somewhere else, “what do you guys think? There’s a new French restaurant opening up maybe I could start there,..” she looked up wondering why no one was talking to her. Ava took notice though they were looking at a bride whose dress was completely soaked. Ava tilted her head wondering who the hell would come to a coffee house like that. It didn’t take her long to figure out that it was Savannah Johnson. Ava almost spat her coffee out.

Growing up Savannah had always been the more popular and pretty one out of the two. Ava was overshadowed by her best friend but she didn’t mind, she didn’t want the attention, especially since had been a little bigger back then, but Savannah didn’t care she treated her like a normal human being, foe the most part. Even though they had moved in and Savannah didn’t incite Ava to the wedding she would still go and help her. -Ava hit Austin telling him to shut up before getting up and walking to her. “Oh my god Savannah?” Ava walked up to her former best friend wondering what happened with her wedding.

(Hope this was okay. I wasn’t sure how to go about it lmfao Unsure))

Savannah covered her mouth to try and hold back the soft sob she let out when she saw Ava. If she hadn't already felt like a total jerk before she would've now. Ava had been her best friend all throughout their school years. Really they'd been pretty much inseparable until Savannah had gotten engaged then things changed between them and Savannah wished so badly to go back to how things were. "Ava, I never should've abandoned you for Michael," she said shaking her head, "he's such a pig," she cried wondering how she'd let her life get like this. How had she let herself become such a shitty friend? They have one disagreement about if Michael was a good guy or not and Savannah just throws her friendship away because she's too blind to see what is apparently right in front of her.

"He's everything you said he was," she said sighing and running her hands over his face. "I left him though. At the altar," she said through a shaky breath. "But I mean how could I not? I went to find Wendy because I needed help with my dress and they were all over each other," she said pursing her lips together before she finally turned towards the counter when she heard someone behind her ordering. And she decided to order herself something nice and warm. It was kind of cold and wet outside, and maybe it would help not only warm her up but put her at ease.
Charlie tried to lean closer to the pair of old friends to see if he could hear any part of their conversation because he was rather interested. After all, Savannah had just walked into the coffee shop soaking wet and in a wedding dress, so there had to be some drama going on. And even though it was totally silly, Charlie totally lived for the dramatics. He wasn't the one planning to be an actor, but he totally lived for the dramatics of life. In his personal opinion though life was no fun if you lived it boring and without adventure. Charlie was all about exploring new things, totally showing off, and making sure that enjoyed being around him. And sure there were plenty of people who probably didn't think he was funny or didn't exactly like him. But he didn't care because he didn't live for those people.

"I think she stood up the man she was supposed to marry," he finally said shrugging his shoulders and moving down a little on the couch so the girls wouldn't see him, more than they probably already had anyway. "Which makes sense I mean she is in a wedding dress and she looks distressed so I'm sure I haven't told you all anything you hadn't already put together for yourselves," he said shaking his head and realizing that he wasn't helping in the situation at all. He should really just wait for them to come over to them and just let Savannah explain herself.

Ava watched as her former friend continued to go on about what happened and how she was wrong. Ava was really disappointed in her friend when she first told her to leave way back. She was sad and hurt that her childhood best friend didn’t believe her about Michael m. Here she was now basically apologizing and Ava wanted to be cruel and just let her have it. She didn’t. Ava didn’t want to put her through anymore shame or embarrassment. Ava sighed softly, “well, I can’t say it didn’t hurt when you left because it did but I’m over it, I know you had a lot going on. I was just trying to look out for you. No worries though, I’ve learn to mind my own business.”

Ava stood watched and listened to Savannah talk about everything and she simply nodded. “Come on, well make room on the sofa for you,” she waited until Savannah was done paying. Ava walked over to where her brother Austin and the rest where “you remember my brother Austin right? That’s Charlie and Emily and Andy.” She introduces all her friends to Savannah, Ava took a seat next to her. “Did you need a place to stay ?”
Austin watched as Charlie attempted st eavesdrop on their conversation he simply rolled his eyes. Austin wasn’t much into drama he just liked keeping to himself he didn’t care to have the spotlight on him, honestly he hated being out on the spot. He just didn’t seek attention, he was very awkward at times and didn’t know how to talk to women. He was interested in knowing more about Savannah’s whole situation but he didn’t want to freak her out. As his sister brought her over Austin sat up and greeted the bride. She was very beautiful he hoped she wouldn’t be too upset.

Austin just stared at his friend, Charlie wasn’t very smooth when it came to talking, he’d always trip over words, then again so did Austin. He watched and listened carefully as Ava introduced everyone to Savannah and he wondered if she’d remember him, she remembered Ava, she’d have to remember him too?

Savannah smiled softly at Ava and sighed. "I really am sorry," she said wishing that she could go back in time and change everything. Because she knew better than to trust a man over her best friend, which she should've known then but every girl makes at least one poor boy decision in her life some just sadly later than others. "Yea, of course," she said glancing around to everyone and smiling over to Austin. It had been a while since she'd seen Austin but she remembered him for sure, he'd gotten super handsome since the last time she'd seen him though that was for sure. From what she could remember he'd been a nerdy boy who couldn't ever figure out how to style his hair and who cared a lot more about dinosaur toys than anyone she'd ever met.

Though Savannah knew that people could change, after all, she wasn't the same girl she'd been in high school anymore. She didn't care about the same things she did then, well not all of the same things anyway. "I could actually," she said sighing. She truly hadn't pictured her life turning out like this. But maybe this was a good turning point, at least she hoped so.
Charlie smiled at Savannah as she and Ava came back to the couches and joined them. He didn't really expect her to remember him. Of course, Charlie had always just kind of ran in the same circle as Austin so they'd hung out all the time but he also was a weirdo in high school who never would've had a chance with a girl like Savannah Johnson so she probably hadn't even noticed him then. Now though they were all adults and even though he didn't want to date Savannah maybe he would actually be on her radar.

"So what happened?" He asked leaning forward hoping that he wasn't being insensitive, but he was also really curious. She had shown up in a wedding dress, after all, so she had to expect that someone would totally ask her about it. "Hope that's not to forward or anything but I mean you are in a wedding dress and I'm pretty sure you didn't get married, so I'm just curious," he said not wanting to offend her, but if he did well it wouldn't be the first time that Charlie was insensitive.

Ava was distraught when her so called best friend has ditched her for some dude and she had been bitter about it for so long. From the looks of it Savannah hasn’t really changed at all. Still high Maintenance at least from what Ava could tell but she wasn’t going to be rude about it. “It’s in the past,” she shrugged as she walked and took a seat next to Charlie and her brother. Andy just kept staring at her like a piece of meat that Emily he to slap him to knock it off. Maybe Ava still held some resentment towards her former friend, Ava had always been such a good friend to her after all. Ava handed her a coffee and glared at Charlie when he asked an obvious and rude question. “Really you don’t have to tell us, but you should probably change into something dry.”
Austin glared at his friend, “Charlie you don’t just ask people those kind of questions, what I’d she doesn’t want to talk about it?” Austin shook his head, he knew his friend was just being nosy, and Austin didn’t want Savannah to have to explain herself it was her business after all. “You don’t have to answer him sometimes he doesn’t have a filter..” Austin would always point this out to Charlie and tell him that’s probably why he was single. He knew nothing about women, neither did Austin but he knew what not to say.
