The last year of Bailey's life had easily been the hardest year ever. She'd found out she was pregnant, lost the man she loved before she could tell him, had a baby, and then moved in with her baby's uncle. It was best this way though. Bailey knew that Dean would want them to stick together keep each other safe, and even more so now that Baily was a mom with a child barely approaching a year old. And she was thankful that she'd had Sam. He'd helped keep her in check over the last year, she felt like she'd done the same for him as well. They'd been there for one another making the year a little better than she supposed it could've been. Of course, every day she wished that things could be different, that Dean was there with them that she and Sam could just figure out a way to bring him back but so far nothing had worked and they were both starting to lose hope of ever seeing Dean again.

"Hi sweet boy," she said smiling down at baby John who was just starting to roll over and literally the cutest thing she'd ever seen. "Mommy loves you," she said playing with his little belly finding it hard not to fall more in love with her son every single day. And she was sure Sam and his girlfriend felt the same way. They were after all always doting on him and watching him for her so she could work and try her very best to support herself and her son. But it was hard and she was thankful every day that she had Sam around still because it kept her mind at ease a little bit.

"Oh, you wanna go to Uncle Sam, well you just love him don't you?" Bailey cooed softly as he reached for Sam which always brought a smile to her face as well. Even though she knew that everything could change for them in a heartbeat thanks to the life that they'd lived before Dean's disappearance they still took the time to find moments like this and enjoy them while they lasted. And she hoped that even if she did ever see Dean again they'd be able to reach an agreement to try their best to raise John right. Like she and Sam had been attempting to do now. Because even though she knew all about the life the boys lived and she'd been a part of that life for a while now she didn't want to raise a baby that way. She didn't want John to wonder if he'd ever see Sam or Dean or even her again because they'd run off to hunt some monster. She just wanted him to be happy and know he was loved.

If anyone knew anything about Dean Winchester, they would know that he was a fighter. Through and through, Dean would battle through Hell and back if it meant protecting his family and his friends. If it meant getting one step closer to defeating the demons of the world. And fight was what Dean Winchester had done for the past year and he tried to find a way out of Purgatory. He owed his life to Benny more times than he could probably count. The idea of owing his life to a vampire was certainly a strange one but nothing really made sense in Purgatory. The monsters were always just around the bend, hunting him, waiting for Dean to slip up. Benny had proven to be a good man, a man that Dean could rely on and so he had.

When Dean realized that he had managed to make it back to the real world, he had laughed and he'd taken a moment to celebrate with his new found brother. The pair had agreed to go their own ways but knew if they were in trouble, to contact the other. Dean had meant it when he said he would come running and he was sure that Benny would do the same.

Dean set off to find his brother and Bailey, or so he hoped. He wasn't sure where to even begin but he was hopeful that he could find Sam. He had hoped that Bailey would be with him because they had all been so close, Bailey had all but been adopted into the Winchester family. Dean had been searching for the better part of a month, desperate to find the two people that he hoped were still alive and strong. He'd been gone for so long, not there to protect them... anything could have happened.

Dean stumbled upon a good lead and just a few, short days later he found himself standing in front of the home that he believed Sam and Bailey were sharing. He was relieved to find that his hopes had come true; the two had stuck together despite his absence.

Clearing his throat as he stepped up to the door, Dean found himself wondeirng if he should simply walk away. He had no clue what he was going to find on the other side of the door. Things could have changed so much that maybe it would be better if he just left. Swallowing around the lump that formed in his throat, Dean pushed away the doubt as he raised his hand and knocked heavily on the door.

    {I had written this before I noticed Sam had a girlfriend... If you want me to change the fact that Sam/Bailey live together, lemme know... but i mean if the girl is super understanding of everything, I think it could work }

[ no it's fine, I was thinking they'd live together anyway so it works out Lol. ]

Bailey and Sam shared a confused look when they heard an unfamiliar knocking sound. They didn't exactly get a lot of visitors, actually, they never got visitors. It was only the three of them plus Sam's girlfriend. But Sam and Bailey weren't exactly trusting people so even though they'd settled down the best they could they didn't give the address to people unless they knew they could trust them. And even then most hunters weren't going to stop by for a visit. It just wasn't a normal thing so hearing someone knock was a little weird for them.

"I'll go get the door," Bailey said smiling at the sight in front of her, Sam really was good with John. "Maybe you can get him to go down for a nap," she joked before she made her way to the door not exactly sure what to expect on the other side. Though what she opened the door to wasn't even on the list of who it could've been.

She was silent for a moment as she stared at him just trying to wrap her mind around everything. "D- Dean?" she asked feeling her voice crack and tears swell up in her eyes. She had spent the last year dreaming of this day, the day that she would see Dean again, and here he was standing in front of her fresh from wherever he'd been over the last year and she didn't even know how to react. She questioned if it was really happening that was for sure. He had been gone for a year now, and she and Sam had done everything they could think of to get him back. But that was hard when they hadn't even known where he was. It also didn't help that Cas had vanished with him. Not even Bobby had been any help. And now here he was.

"Is it really you?" She asked softly covering her mouth to try and muffle the sob that was escaping her. She couldn't even help herself, surely God wouldn't torment her further by putting Dean right here in front of her only for it to not be him, so without giving it a second though Bailey all but threw herself around him so she could bury her face in his neck.

Oddly enough he still smelled like himself and it was the most comforting thing Bailey had ever smelled in her life. "I've missed you," she mumbled before another sob escaped her. Right now as much as she wanted to control herself for Dean's sake she couldn't, her emotions were too heightened to be in control of them right now. Of course, she had been slightly sleep deprived lately given she had a barely four-month-old baby which only added to the inability to control herself.

    {excellent tehe feel like this is kind of off, I'm sorry. It's been a long time since I rp'd SPN... or watched it. i need to watch it}

Dean wondered what would happen once the door opened in front of him. If his brother and Bailey were smart, they would demand to test him. To ensure that he wasn't a demon or anything else that could have tricked them but then the door was opening and all his hopes went right out the window. He didn't care about the logical side because he was laying his eyes on Bailey for the first time in such a long, long time. Dean had let his hope start to dwindle toward the end of his time in purgatory, to the point he'd wondered if he would ever get to see Bailey or his brother again.

The only thing that he found himself truly longing for was that they would both find peace and happiness. Whatever that meant to the two of them, Dean didn't care. Dean just wanted them to live their best life. They had all fought so hard and so long that Dean just wanted them to be happy. It killed him to think that maybe they wouldn't ever make it there. Maybe they'd never be able to be happy.

Dean blinked, nodding his head numbly as Bailey spoke. He exhaled slowly, reaching out to wrap his arms tightly around her form. He let out a soft laugh, burying his face into Bailey's hair. His hand cupped the back of her head as he let out an inhuman noise, one that wasn't common for Dean. "Thought I was never going to see you again," Dean mumbled into her hair. His fingers massaged designs into her scalp, pulling away only when he finally did so that he could press a kiss to her forehead.

"I missed you so damn much, Bailey," Dean declared, running his fingers through her hair. He let out a laugh, shaking his head. "You're so damned beautiful," he said, leaning down to press his lips to hers. Dean captured her lips in a heat kiss, his grip tightening around her waist.

    [ it was fine! ]

Bailey kissed Dean back melting into him until she had to will herself away from him so she could catch her breath, and actually have a moment to gather her thoughts. "I just can't believe you're really here," she said softly resting her head against his chest and taking a moment to just listen to his heartbeat which was the most calming thing she'd done in a while. But she knew that this couldn't last for long, it probably wasn't a good idea for them to stand outside of the house in the open where anything could happen. She also knew that she needed to prepare him for what was on the other side of the door, though how he was going to react was a little bothersome. Though she couldn't keep it from him forever.

"So there's something you should know before we go inside," she said pulling her head back to look up at him and biting her lip. "A couple weeks before you vanished I found out I was pregnant, and I was going to tell you but I wanted to time it right. So I thought that I would get to tell you after you dealt with The Levithans, because that seemed like the least stressful time, only you didn't come home. Anyway, Sam and I have stuck together over the last year, he's been very helpful. And what I'm saying is that you're a dad, or at least can be I guess if you want that," she said pushing her fingers through her hair.

This was the hardest thing she'd had to do in a while, and she hated it. If Dean just wouldn't have been gone for a year this wouldn't be happening this way. He would already know and that would be that. And she knew that this was never a life that he wanted, the two of them had talked about what the future looked like more than once and it never ended with children. Because the life they lived always on the road, hunting monsters ect, was not a life Dean wanted to bring kids into. And Bailey understood that, she didn't want her son to grow up like that, so as much as it pained her to think of Dean leaving she'd come to terms with the fact that if Dean wasn't ready to be a dad she wasn't going to force him to stay. She couldn't.

"Started to think I was never going to see you again..." Dean trailed off, letting out a dry laugh. He shook his head, cupping her cheek gently. He brushed his thumb over her skin. "But then I remembered I'm Dean fuckin' Winchester. Can anything keep me down?" Dean joked, feeling the tension in his shoulders relax for the first time in a year. It had been so long since he had held Bailey in his arms. It had been so long that he had begun to forget her smile, her laugh... everything that made his heart ache when he thought about her. The things that had made him fall in love with he.r Something that he had thought was impossible for someone like him - he was a hunter, he was never able to settle down. And yet, he'd managed to find someone who cared about him regardless of all of his flaws. Maybe that was what had made him fall for her. Because she'd been so open about his own faults that Dean started to feel less like a weapon and a bit more like a human.

His brows pulled together when Bailey said she had something he needed to know. Dean's back straightened as he listened to her speak, the color slowly draining from his features. He had a child? Dean opened and closed his mouth several times over, having no clue how he was supposed to even respond to that. Logically, he knew he was excited. He was but then the nauseating reality sunk onto his shoulders. Dean had been gone for the child's first few months of life. Just like his father had been - his father had always been off on a hunt. That wasn't what he wanted for his child. It wasn't fair to such a young being.

"I... okay," Dean breathed slowly, nodding his head. "Okay," he repeated, trying to force his mind to clear. Dean's eyebrows arched as he exhaled slowly.

"Can I... meet him?" Dean asked, suddenly feeling rather foreign despite this home never being his in the first place.

Dean took a few steps into the house, his eyes locking on Sam almost immediately. Sam stood in the doorway, clutching a baby to his chest as he held a angel blade in front of him.

"Sammy," Dean spoke, his hands raised in surrender.

Sam's eyes narrowed as he sneered. "Who sent you? Who are you?" He growled, turning his body so that the sleeping baby was further away from Dean's form.

"Sam it's okay, it's Dean," Bailey said after she walked inside and saw him clutching John close to himself as if trying to hide him while holding onto the angel blade as well. She walked over to Sam and took John out of his arms before she looked up at Sam and nodded her head. "It's really him, I know it is," she said softly. Bailey knew that Sam was going to be skeptical about this whole thing, and she wouldn't put it past him to pull out all the stops to make sure it was him, but Bailey didn't need to do to that. She knew it was him, even though she knew it was always smart to check she just had a feeling deep inside of her that this was really Dean. On top of that, she'd been so lost and broken without him that she wasn't sure she would even be able to bear it if the Dean who stood in the room with them was an imposter.

Sam gave her a hard look, "how can you be sure? Bailey we have to be extra careful with this, I mean you know we both looked for him and Cas for months and we never found anything. Yet here he is without Cas out of the blue? How do you explain that?" He asked glancing at the man standing in the room claiming to be his brother.

Bailey rested her hand on Sam's arm, "I know we have to be careful, but I also know that this is Dean. If you need to check though I won't stop you because I know how you are," she told him trying to keep Sam at bay because she knew if he did test Dean and he wasn't really Dean that it would not end well. "Though Sam you do realize that we're all hunters here right? Everything we do on a daily basis is pretty hard to explain," she added knowing that it was possible for Dean to be brought back to them. After all, she knew he'd been brought back from Hell and if that could happen then why not this too?

"How can you believe this is Dean so easily Bailey?" he asked shaking his head as he went to grab a few things to make sure Dean was in fact who he said he was.

Bailey laughed somewhat bitterly, without meaning to, "how can you expect anything different from me, Sam? I love your brother, I had his baby for crying out loud, and if there was ever a chance that John would finally get to meet his dad I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't take it. Now you can do whatever you need to but I believe this is Dean and he's going to meet his son," she told him before she smiled down at the little bundle in her arms.

"That's right, daddy's come home," she said tapping his little nose playfully before she took him over to Dean so they could finally meet. "Dean, this is John your son," she said holding her arms out for Dean to take him. "Sam and I were in agreement when he was born that he should be named after your father to honor his memory,"

Dean didn't move from his spot in the middle of the doorway, his eyes trained on Sam. He was admittedly relieved that his brother was willing to question if he was really himself, even with the excitement of him potentially returning. It had been so long, they'd both grown so differently. It seemed like both Sam and Bailey were comfortable living an almost normal life. The thought was enough to warm Dean's heart and it was a sharp reminder of everything that he had been through in the last year. The doubt that he would ever make it out of Purgatory had long since sunk into the very depths of his soul. Even as he stood in front of her, Dean wondered if this was some sort of sick joke. Maybe it was a trick he'd stumbled into and he was going to be killed - only to wake and realie this was all one big trick, orchestrated by a monster lurking in Purgatory.

Listening to Bailey talk to Sam, he was reminded of why he'd fought so hard to get back here. She loved him and he loved her and she had his baby. She had his baby. His baby. Realization dawned on his features, sinking into his stomach as he blinked. For a moment, all Dean could do was stare at Sam and Bailey as they went back and forth. Dean had a child. He hadn't been here for the past year. He wondered how much he had missed. Was he worthy of raising a child? Dean nearly laughed at the thought because he was sure he wasn't - Dean was a lot of things but he wasn't a good man. He was willing to kill just about anything to get revenge on his parents' behalf. On Adam's. And to protect those that he held close.

Dean swallowed as Bailey started approaching her. His lips parted, his brows pulling up in a silent question. Was this reality? Dean wasn't sure. He exhaled, his eyes dropping to the little boy in Bailey's arms. His eyes widened, flying up to meet Bailey's again. "John?" his voice was low, almost like he was afraid to speak too loudly and wake from this dream.

Dean breathed out, reaching out to delicately take John from Bailey's arms. He let out a gentle laugh, brushing his thumb over his cheek. Dean's apprehension seemed to melt away in the same moment a smile split his cheeks open. "Daddy's home," he murmured, holding John to his chest. Tears pricked the corners of his eyes as he looked up, catching Bailey's gaze.

"I'm not going anywhere. Ever again. Do you understand me?" Dean's voice came out hard despite his happiness, a promise that he was never intending on breaking. After everything that they had both gone through, Dean could feel it in his gut. He was ready to give up everything else if it meant living a normal life. So that his son didn't have to grow up the same way he had.

Bailey smiled at Dean and nodded her head, "he seems to like you," she said as she gently ran her hand over the top of John's head before it rested on Dean's hand. She wasn't sure if Dean realized just how happy everything in front of her unfolding made her feel. This was all she had wanted since before she'd even had him, she'd wanted Dean with her so they could raise their son together. Even if Dean chose to work on cases just knowing that he was out there would make her feel that much better. She just wanted John to have a chance at least to get to know his father. And now here he was finally getting to hold John for the first time and she couldn't have been happier about that because even though she knew things were likely not going to go how she wanted them to at all, Dean was there and that was all that could bring herself to care about.

After a few minutes of just soaking everything up, she had the realization that Dean was back and that it would probably be smart for them to find a place of their own. She was sure that Sam's girlfriend wouldn't mind them staying for a while as they figured things out, but she'd want them to leave. After all, she hadn't really had any free time with Sam unless they went somewhere and Bailey hated that for him. She wanted Sam to be happy and he seemed happy with this girl. Sam deserved a chance to live this life as much as Dean did, he deserved the chance to have a kid or two if they wanted and Bailey didn't want to be the one who stood in the way of that because she couldn't just pack up and live somewhere else.

"If you want you can put him down for a nap because he needs one soon otherwise no one is sleeping tonight," She laughed as she smile up at Dean. "I'm going to go talk to Sam real quick, then as soon as Sam and I are done and he's napping we can talk," she said suggesting that the two of them sit down and actually talk things through. Things were different now, and she was sure Dean had just as many questions for her about the last year as she had for him. There were also just things that needed to be put out into out there between them so they could figure out the best course of action.

Dean felt like this entire situation was completely unreal. The idea of holding his son after spending, well, he didn't know how long he'd been in there... this hadn't ever been on his radar. Dean had just wanted to go back home. He wanted to sleep in a bed, he wanted to eat a good cheeseburger, and a slice of pie. That was all Dean wanted in the world. He wanted Bailey pressed into his side, Sam sitting across from him at some shitty hole in the wall diner. As far as he was concerned if you went to a diner and they couldn't make a decent burger, Dean would never return. Either the diner could make a good burger and was worth noting down if he ever came back out that way or... they weren't. Dean had often dreamed of good food and his family. That had been all he wanted. Family was everything to Dean. Maybe family meant more than revenge could.

"Do I have to?" Dean asked with a small pout, as he looked down to John. He sighed, brushing his thumb over the baby's cheek. "Not fair," he grumbled as he followed Bailey toward what he assumed was John's room. Dean tensed slightly when he passed by his brother, keeping his head lowered. He knew how apprehensive Sam was; he was glad. Dean would have been in the same position if their oles had been reversed.

Dean set John down carefully, heading into the living room to give Sam and Bailey privacy to talk elsewhere. When he realized that the kitchen wasn't where they were, Dean all but rushed into the room so he could start looking through the cupboards and the fridge for something to eat.

Bailey had dreamt almost every night that Dean would return to the world of the living from wherever he was. She had dreamt that things would be as normal as it possibly could with all these changes. Dean would be with her again, John would get to grow up with a father, Sam would get to be with his brother, everything would be perfect. Maybe Sam and Dean would go on an occasional hunt here or there, but they'd always come back. She and Dean would have a place of their own and he would always come back to her. Then their little family of three would go and visit Sam and whoever he decided to settle down with. They would have a semi-normal life. Even though she knew they hadn't ever thought about having a normal anything. And maybe what she'd dreamed wouldn't happen would, maybe it would be much different than that. There was a chance she supposed that Sam and Dean could both decide they didn't want to be done with this life, the hunter life. They wanted to keep hunting and killing things and saving people until it killed them. Then they'd leave and Bailey wouldn't go with them because there was no way she could put her son through that. Or maybe as hard as it would be she'd part ways with John. Decide to give him a better life than they could ever offer him, give him to a nice family who'd care of him then go with Sam and Dean back on the road. All Bailey knew was that she had wanted the day when she would see Dean again to come soon, and now here it was.

"Fine," Bailey said throwing her hands up in the air done with the same fight with Sam. At this point, they were just going in circles about what to do in regards to Dean, and she didn't want to fight about it anymore. "We'll go about this your way, you do whatever you need to. But I promise you that you're going to come to the conclusion that the man probably in the kitchen right now looking for food is your brother."

Sam ran his hands over his face and sighed. "I hope I do Bailey," he said shaking his head, "really. I want that to be Dean almost as badly as you do. So I hope you're right, but I have to make sure. I can't take one single chance on it not being him. And I know if roles were reversed Dean would be the same way I'm being right now."

Bailey nodded her head. She got it, they'd been hunters for a lot longer than she had been in their lives. There were certain protocols that the brothers always followed no matter what and this time was no different. "Well once you're sure that it's Dean I think we should all talk about what we do next." She said rubbing the back of her neck. "Because we can't deny that everything is even more different now, and our futures have all been impacted."

"Well let's see if it is Dean first then we can talk about what to do next okay." He told her as he walked around the room to collect everything he needed to go through all the motions of making sure Dean was really Dean before he walked out of the room and towards the kitchen, where the man claiming to be his brother stood looking for food.

It had been far too long since Dean had had a decent meal. His time in Purgatory and his time above ground had been far longer than he would have preferred; the moment that he'd been above ground, he'd started searching for his brother and his girlfriend. His meals had been nothing more than a quick bite at a fast food joint before he went on his way. Dean hadn't even bothered to stop at a diner for a halfway decent cheeseburger because he'd only been focused on reuniting with his family. Because that was what Bailey was to him; family. There was no escaping that truth. Bailey was it, there was never going to be another woman that stole Dean's breathe away the way that Bailey managed to.

Dean was sure that he knew what conversation was taking place in the other room. At least he hoped he did because Bailey had leapt into his arms and thought nothing of it. Had introduced him to his son without a second thought. Both of those things made him unbearably happy but there was also the underlying knowledge that had he been anyone else, that they could have suffered. They all could have suffered and there was nothing that Dean could have done about it if he was still in Purgatory. Dean didn't believe in much of anything anymore but if he had, he would have said an incredibly thanks to whatever God he still prayed to.

Settling on some of the leftovers in the fridge, Dean tossed the lasagna in the microwave. He tapped his foot impatiently, yanking it out and shoving a bite into his mouth almost before the microwave could finish it's little ding. Dean groaned, his brows pulling together as he realized just how hot the food was. He grumbled as he dropped down onto the dining room table. For the first time in a year, Dean felt like he could breathe. The exhaustion was catching up with him and it seemed to be leaking into every part of his being.

Dean looked up when Bailey and Sam appeared, offering them a tired smile. His eyes dropped to the items in Sam's grip and he breathed a small sigh before stabbing his fork in their direction. "Just... gimme a minute. Wanna finish this while it's still hot," Dean muttered, bringing the still scorching hot container up to his mouth to shovel the food inside.

Bailey understood what was about to unfold in front of her. She knew that Sam had to do this for his own peace of mind, and she was sure that Dean while annoyed about it also appreciated that Sam didn't just let things slide. But when it was all over and done with and Sam was convinced that Dean was, in fact, Dean, she couldn't help but be relieved herself. It actually was him. This was real. He was back from where ever he had been and she'd be damned before she let him disappear like that again without doing everything in her power to make sure she found him. After all, he'd been gone for a year and she didn't want to ever relive that.

"Well, now that that's out of the way and you've got a little food in your stomach I think you deserve a nap. You look worn out." She told Dean knowing that he was a fight until you couldn't fight anymore type of guy, but she felt like at least this one time he could give in and just not fight. And if Bailey had to she would find a way to knock him out herself because the man needed to sleep. He needed to rest. She didn't know how long he'd been 'back' or how long it had taken him to find her and Sam, but she knew that Dean needed to rest. Not a shitty half-sleep thing he did on the road in a crappy motel bed but real rest. One in a comfortable bed where he wouldn't be disturbed until he was refreshed. "I'll show you my room if you want and you can rest there, or there's a bed in John's nursery that's also pretty comfortable you can sleep on. But either way, you're going to bed because I don't want you to die from exhaustion."

God, she had missed this. She had missed seeing his face, hearing his voice, holding his hand, knowing he was alive and safe. She had missed it more than she'd even realize honestly because without even realizing it she'd started to cry she was so happy he was there. Dean was actually the love of her life, the only man in the world for her, and she had hated spending the last year without him.

Dean was covered in holy water, wearing various charms that were meant to make sure he wasn't another creature. He was exhausted - Sam's tests had taken nearly an hour. Despite the food in his system, Dean was ready to collapse. He leaned into the hug that Sam initiated, letting out a groan as he straightened when his younger brother pulled away. He turned back toward Bailey, a tired sort of smile settling on his features when she mentioned a nap. He nodded, turning away from Sam to reach out and wrap his arms as tightly as he could around Bailey's shoulders. He inhaled her scent, his shoulders sagging slightly as he sighed. "I fucking missed you," Dean all but growled, refusing to loosen his arms around her. Dean had started to think that he was never going to see Bailey or Sam again, he could hardly believe that he was finally here.

"Fuckin' missed you," Dean huffed again when he finally pulled away from her, his grip not quite dropping from Bailey's shoulders. He sighed, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. He did it again and again until Sam cleared his throat and muttered something about them getting a room. Dean rolled his eyes, fixing his brother with a faux glare. "Shove it. You weren't in purgatory for a year and up top for almost three months," he muttered, only half serious about his jab at Sam. Dean realized that he hadn't told either Bailey or Sam where he had been but he had just admitted it now.

Dean reached down, lacing his fingers through Bailey as he started toward the stairs. He gave her a tired smiled as he raised an eyebrow. "Lead me to your room. Let's just.. rest," he murmured, the promise of a nice night of sleep was enough to make Dean feel like a kid on Christmas morning. It had been far too long.

"Just wanna go to sleep with my favourite girl in my arms," Dean uttered as they reached the top of the stairs.

Bailey smiled up at Dean and have his hand a small squeeze when he laced their fingers together. She'd heard him mention he'd been in purgatory but she wasn't going to bring that up right now. She wanted to remind him that he was there with her and he wasn't in purgatory anymore. He was home, and Bailey would be damned before she let anything on the planet take him away from her again if she could help it. "Let's go to bed then," she told him softly as she lead him up the stairs and towards her room. They could sleep for the time being and deal with all the things that needed to be dealt with in the morning. Because everything Bailey needed to talk to Dean about wasn't things that should be discussed on an empty stomach or a tired brain.

"Do you want to change into something more comfortable than jeans?" She asked him once she'd made into her room. "I have some sweat pants and you could sleep in a t-shirt if you wanted or no shirt I don't mind either way," she told him simply wanting to make sure that he was comfortable. Bailey was aware that everything was different than when he'd disappeared a year ago. She and Sam hadn't been hunting for a while, Dean had a baby, Bailey had been trying really hard to find a way to support herself so she didn't have to live with Sam and his girlfriend. Life, in general, was much different than she was sure Dean had pictured it. But she and Sam had done alright over the last year. They were both pretty happy and still alive which she considered a win.

She wanted Dean to adjust and be comfortable too. And she knew that it was going to take a while for him to get used to everything, but she was going to do everything in her power to help him. No matter what it took she loved Dean and she would do anything to keep him in her life, even if that meant, in the end, giving him a little space to breathe and try to cope with whatever he might've needed to cope with.

Dean stood by the door the room, simply studying Bailey as she moved about the room. He was so utterly relieved that they were together again. He didn't think he would ever be so relieved as he was at the moment. He wasn't a man of emotions very often at all but Bailey offering him clothes and then looking up at him in the way she was, his heart was thundering in a way he hadn't been prepared for. He exhaled slowly, shaking his head. There was another beat of silence before he closed the distance between them, reaching out to wrap his arms around her waist. He pulled her to him, burying his face in her hair. Dean didn't know how to say what he needed to say so instead, he simply squeezed her tighter. He let out an indignant noise, pulling away from her just enough so that he could look down at her.

He didn't even notice that he had let out a few tears. Dean smiled, cupping her cheek as he brushed his thumb over the skin. "I missed you damned much. I thought I was never going to see you again. Never going to see you or Sammie again and that was the hardest fucking thing I've ever done," Dean uttered, swallowing around the lumpt hat had formed in his throat. Dean wasn't a man of emotions, no, but everything had built up over the year. Now that he was here again, now that he was safe, the emotions seemed to be pouring out faster than he could stop them.

"You just trying to get my clothes off?" Dean teased, brushing the back of his hand along her cheeks. He couldn't help but let out a small laugh as he looked down to her, despite the wetness on his cheeks. "Because all you have to do is ask. You know that, right?"

Bailey could only begin to imagine what Dean had gone through over the last year. It had been hard for her and Sam here not in purgatory to figure out what to do. They’d kind of fallen out of the life, they’d had to readjust to things and figure out how to eventually move on from Dean if he didn’t come back. Though that had been hard for Bailey to even think about because she hadn’t wanted to give up hope. She hadn’t wanted to imagine what a life without him really looked like, and thankfully he had returned to them and she didn’t have to.

When she felt Dean’s arms around her again she melted right into him like before. There were so few things that had brought her the same feeling of comfort and contentment as this. Being enveloped in the arms of the man she loved was one of the best things on the face of the earth. “There were days when I thought the same thing about you. I was afraid you were lost forever. And telling myself that I might have to move on from you was impossible really,” she said reaching forward to take his hand again.

Bailey playfully rolled her eyes at Dean “good to know you haven’t changed on me,” she said before she took the clothes she’d gotten out for him with her to the bathroom. “So do you want to join me in the shower?” She asked over her shoulder with a smile before she disappeared and turned on the water.

Dean shrugged, jutting his bottom lip out as he held his hands out to the sides. "Hey. I'm a Winchester. I hear we're pretty damned stubborn. Even a year in purgatory can't change us," he answered simply, winking at her. Dean blinked as he watched Bailey disappear into the bathroom. That hadn't been quite what he intended but the promise of a warm shower with Bailey in front of him... there were plenty of things that could be enjoyed in the shower.

Humming to himself, Dean followed after Bailey. "Hey you. You don't get to run away on me like that," he joked, reaching out to pull her to him. THe warmth of the shower was already permeating the room and he found himself eager to step into the tub. "Wanna show you how much I missed you," he mumbled, ducking his head to kiss her neck.

Dean's fingers brushed beneath her shirt and he shivered despite himself, relishing in the feel of her skin beneath his hands. Instead of a weapon or a hard Earth that never quite allowed him to rest. He took the smallest step backward, tugging the shirt up and over Bailey's head. He dropped it to the side, stepping forward so his chest was pressed against her back. His hand teased down Bailey's torso, just taking a moment to enjoy the reminder that he was here and not there. "Don't ever want to leave you again," he added lowly, working open the button on her jeans.

Bailey smiled to herself at the feeling of Dean standing so close to her, at feeling his touch again, at this entire moment. “Good,” she whispered as she moved her hair out of his way and let Dean simply take the lead with things. “I don’t ever want you to leave me like that again,” she added needing him to know that it had been hard for her as well. Bailey was sure it pained him to know that she’d been here without him living in a world of hurt, but she didn’t want to hide that from him either.

“Mm, it feels amazing to feel you again,” she mumbled. It had been a little over year since she’d been with Dean. And she certainly hadn’t gone looking for comfort in that sense with someone else. Mostly because she had been pregnant most of the time he was gone which wasn’t exactly a turn on for most guys, plus everywhere she went Sam also went so people always thought they were together and no one was going to to even try to hit on her pregnant or not when Sam was around. Plus Bailey hadn’t wanted to be with anyone else. She hadn’t spent her year pining after Dean with hopes he would come home, but she also hadn’t been ready to even try and move on. Thankful though he had come home to her, and she could enjoy everything that meant for her again.

Bailey reached for Dean’s hands to help him undo her jeans so she could push them onto the floor and leave herself in just a pair of underwear, which she quickly took off as well. “I shouldn’t be the only naked one here,” she told him before she turned around to look at him with a crooked grin before she was helping him out of his own shirt and pants and trying to take his hand and pull him into the nice warm shower.
