"This is final." His words still rung out in his head, causing a sigh to pull from his lips. It had been over six or more months since his father threat. Kihyun looked around the room, shaking his head. He'd been lucky Jooheon had let him crash at his place till all this mess had been cleared up. Though per his dad's instructions he had to pay bills, rent and buy food. It had been hard at first, but he'd managed to cut his expenses down. However it sucked when he was trying to get laid. Taking a girl who was used to the finer things in life back to a pad where his roommate could catch them didn't really scream fun. Luckily Jooheon was pretty busy running the bar. However on nights like this he really didn't like his friend. Making him come in on a shift he was even schedule to work. Because he was hoping to get lucky tonight with the girl he'd was suppose to meet up with. Now he knew it was never going to happen, because when he called and canceled she wasn't happy. Though he was nice enough not to stand her up. Shrugging it off he headed out and got into his car. The drive to the bar was a short one, but that didn't make it an easy task as he didn't want to go. "Fucking idiot." He screamed at no one, as a driver cut in front of him causing him to slam on his breaks. Once he was parked he grabbed his apron from the passenger seat. Then got out of his car. At time like this he wished he'd listened to his father and gone to business school. At least then he'd be able to do whatever the fuck he wanted. Just as long as he passed his classes.

Stepping into the building he quickly moved to the bar wrapping his apron tightly around his waist as he went. He knew the night shifts were different than the day, but he was going to do his damnest to try not to get fired. "Sup." He greeted Jooheon. Knowing he'd need to be given a run down on everything, before the rush.
The harsh wind blew through the streets, knocking into bodies that loitered the streets. Yoonja shuddered as she pulled the collar of her coat closer to her neck, hoping to keep her warmth trapped in. Nibbling on her lip she kept her eyes focused on the paved road before her. It had been rather cold this month and shown no signs of warming up. But she rather enjoyed doing numerous activities in the cold, however since her grades had dropped her father had started to lash out. She wasn't allowed to do anything remotely fun. He'd taken her phone and her computer was only for school work. So tonight she found herself alone and looking for some place to just escape to. Wrapping her arms around her waist she sighed as her destination came into view. She'd been looking forward to going home and relaxing after finishing school. But when she got home her parents were at each other's throat. She'd lied and told them she be studying at the library to keep her from being targeted. Pushing the door open she smiled as the warmth hit her in the face. Since this was one of her favorite places to visit with her friends she didn't have to show ID much anymore. The guys at first had been suspicious about her age matching her ID. But they stopped worrying after the time went on. She was always coming in and they never got to trashed, it was a calming place to come and chill. And since most of her friends had parent who were strict like hers it was best to never get drunk. They'd just meet up and have a few drinks while poring over their books about the next assignment or on nights they just wanted to have fun they'd put on some music to dance to and the girls livened the place up. Slipping into her normal booth she didn't see the point of taking the big thing up, but it was rarely used unless they showed. It also gave her a chance to get away from the noise.

"Fuck you, Jongup!" Soyeon screamed at her boyfriend, before slamming the front door as she walked out of their shared home. How did they go from having a great day together as a couple strolling around town to Jongup ignoring her and them arguing? Oh yeah, Jongup is all about his appearance, always wanting to look good in front of the public, but behind closed doors, he treats Soyeon like she doesn't even exist or treats her like she is a burden. Her friends keep telling her to leave him because she deserves better, and deep down she knew that they were right, but she couldn't muster up the courage to leave Jongup. Right now she didn't want to think about her boyfriend and she really needed a drink. Soyeon took an uber to the bar she normally goes to near downtown, not taking her car because she didn't need Jongup to try and track her down.

When she arrived to the bar, Soyeon noticed that it was more packed than usual. She squeezed past around people until she was able to get a spot by the bar top. "Tequila soda, please." She requested and handed some cash to the bartender once he placed her drink in front of her, "Keep the change." She said giving the guy a good tip. Soyeon stirred the drink with the straw that was in the glass before taking small sips while tapping her fingers of her free hand against the counter to the beat of the music playing in the background.
Jooheon saw Kihyun walking into the bar, letting out a sigh in relief. "Thanks for coming in man, I honestly do not know how I would have been able to run the bar being shorthanded on staff." He said as he fist bump his friend. "Come on, let me give you the rundown. It's not much different from the day shift, but we offer more products and we let our customers to keep their tabs open if they are paying with a card. Plus some other details that I will go over" He explained as he began to rundown the nightly bartending duties and rules. "if you do well tonight, we can just keep you at night instead of looking for someone else to replace Shownu. Besides, you'll be making more money with the tips." He gave Kihyun a pat on the back.

After giving Kihyun the run down of his duties, customers were starting to piling in. "Show time." He said before taking drink orders and making them. The drink orders were coming in non-stop for at least an hour and a half, but now it was starting to slow up as the customers were either talking with one another, playing games, or dancing. Jooheon was wiping down some of the vacant tables and booths, when out of the corner of his eyes, he saw the auburn beauty that he has been eyeing for a while. This time, he noticed that she wasn't with her group of friends. It was then, Jooheon knew that this was the perfect opportunity to finally talk to this girl. So he walked back to the bar, to check on Kihyun. "Yo, bro! You good keeping things in line here? The girl is here, and she is alone. It's the only chance I may have to finally talk to her." He explained. Kihyun just rolled his eyes, but shooed him away with his hand. "Thanks man, I fucking owe you one." He said pounding fists.

Kihyun nodded as Jooheon prattled on, most of the things the man before him said was things he'd already known about. Sure they weren't suppose to do those things during the day but that didn't stop people from doing it. "Yeah, I got this, enjoy." He smirked happy that Jooheon was finally stopping and let him get to work he was thankful for the time away. He knew Jooheon was only trying to do his job right. But the guy forgets to turn the training off, so every time they work together no matter how many time Kihyun's done task, Joohoen still felt the need to show him how to do it one more time. Chalking it up to stress, nerves or both, he let it alone and stated to work. The one thing he loved about this place, was if they didn't have it on tap or it wasn't a straight shot they more than likely didn't make it. Sure Kihyun could mix a rum and coke, one of the most popular drinks foreigner enjoyed. Though one thing he was happy about was all their drinks came pre-made, unless it was some off the wall things foreigners asked for. Most of them in the city wanted to order fruity or mixed drinks. But that wasn't what this place was about. Sure it had a more modern appear to it, but they were very set in their own ways when it came to service. When he heard a customer order a Tequila Soda he turned his attention down the bar. A soft smirk pulling at his lips at this beauty. Waving off the waiter, who liked to pretend he was a bartender, he moved up to assist this pretty lady. Quickly grabbing a glass he started to mix up her drink. Placing a lime and grapefruit wedge into her drink. It was the best he could do. Since they didn't really make mixed drinks. But it was one thing the rats that tried stealing his tips didn't understand. Was you never turned a beautiful lady down when she ordered a drink. "Here you are love." He told her, placing her drink down in front of her. A soft smile pulling at his lips as she handed over a rather sizable tip. Shaking his head he quickly made change and started her a tab on the money. As he moved around the bar he clean and filled orders. Once things started to die down he moved back to the young woman at the bar. He took notice that she'd barely touched her drink. "You know doll most people come to a bar to drink the things they buy." He teased her lightly. Waiting until she gave him her attention. "Rough day?" He used the classic line of most bartenders, smiling slyly at her.
Yoonja hadn't been seated for very long, before a waiter had arrived at her table and questioning her on ordering. Most night she'd share bottles of Soju but her friends were MIA and tonight she was rather stressed and wanted to relax and maybe sink her teeth into something. Smiling lightly she turned her attention to the guy before her quickly ordering Mandu and Sansachun. She then pulled her books from her bag and spread them over the table. Astronomy was her least favorite subject and it was something she didn't think she'd ever need to learn, but her father thought other wise. For some reason he felt she needed to take extra courses. It was his way of making his child perfect on paper. She couldn't count the times she'd been dragged to an event to volunteer. It didn't make since to her what he was trying to prepare her for. But it was something she wasn't privy to. It seemed like she'd been poring over her book for hours, before her food and drink was delivered. Though that was how she always felt when she opened this book. Lifting her eyes to guy who placed her food before her she couldn't help but smiling. "Thank you." She told him, shifting her book aside so that she could eat and study at the same time. Not wasting any time she quickly dug into her meal. Grabbing her pen back up she quickly started to jot down her notes, before she lost her fleeting thoughts.

Although Soyeon was upset, she couldn't help but let a small smile pull at her lips when she heard the bartender tease her a bit but also using that typical bartending line. "I'm sure you already know the answer to that, before you even asked the question." She answered, sipping her drink. Soyeon wasn't big on tequila, but she needed something strong to keep her mind off of Jongup, and this was it. Hearing the bartender chuckle once more, Soyeon looked up, surprised to see how handsome her bartender was. His hair was a fiery red that was obviously dyed, simple ear piercings, and was wearing something casual, but it suited him. He had a small smile that pursed his lips, but Soyeon could tell that he was now showing his real smile, which she imagined to be big and wide, showing his pearly whites.

"Sorry," She said, apologizing for her rude behavior. "Not really a bad day, more so relationship troubles, but I'm not going to trouble you with that." Soyeon sighed and finished her drink, pushing the now empty glass to the side. "You must be new here, but I've never seen you around and you're the only bartender that has ever spoken to me, beside Jooheon, but everyone know he's friendly."
Jooheon smiled as he placed the plate of food that the red hair beauty had ordered. He still had not gotten the courage to make conversation with her, besides using typical waiter prompts. He was about to give up and go back to working at the bar until he saw Kihyun look at him. 'Go talk to her, bro.' He saw his friend mouthed before tilting his head in the direction of the girl. Jooheon nodded and gather the courage he needed and went back to the table. "You know, I noticed that you and usually your friends are here studying at least once a week. Do you actually get any studying done, or is it a front?" He started off the conversation with a light joke, hoping that the girl didn't wave him off.

Kihyun chuckled softly at her rebuttal for his question. His eyes trailed her face as he before settling on her eyes. He watched her openly check him out, and to say he was faltered was an understatement. She was gorgeous, and if he was lucky then she might just be in the mood for revenge sex. It had been easy for him to get laid since he started working here, though most nights were spent in between his sheet instead of at work. It was one of the main reason why his father was so upset was his inability to think about consequences. He loved a challenge but when he was done with things he dropped them, women included. Though he knew he needed to start thinking more about his future he just didn’t see it happening right now, especially when this beautiful woman before him was in need of cheering up. “I’m not new, just new to this shift.” He informed her smoothly pouring her a new drink. Blue Raspberry Vodka, it was a new addition to the shelves here but the ladies loved it. “On the house.” He informed her sliding in her way. He took a step back before leaning against the wall behind him, careful not to bump any of the shelves. His arms crossing over his chest as he looked at her. “Well there’s only a few things that makes a woman come in to drink, either he cheated, and telling by your mopey demeanor it’s not that one. So it has to be a fight about him working to much and never showing you enough attention.” He offered, smiling brightly at her. “There now you don’t have to trouble me with that.” He threw he words back at her. Running his hand through his hair he looked back at her, “though the one thing I’d like to know is, if it’s enough to push you to drink, where the hell are your friends?” He chuckled looking around. He wasn’t about to give her relationship advice as he wasn’t good with that shit. But he did know that girls flocked together like crazy. And looking at her she wasn’t short on anything, friends should be plentiful. Of course Kihyun didn’t really care one way or another, she was a paying customer his job was to make her want to spend more money here.
Yoonja looked up as her food was placed before her. A soft blush pulling at her cheeks as she noticed it was the cute bartender, she tried to stay away from them as she wasn’t suppose to be in the bar, but he was so cute and she couldn’t help but notice. Thanking him she turned back to her books and quickly finishing up where she left off, she wanted to get to a good stopping point before she started eating. Closing her book she froze before looking back up to find the cute bartender standing there, she couldn’t remember his name. “Uh it depend on how well the service is that night,” She told him honestly. She knew he wasn’t one to bring theirs orders to them. They’d normally get stuck with this rude guy who only cared about tips. He would hold his hand out expecting it every time he delivered a drink. It got tiring so they stopped ordering. Then it would be up to one of the girls to head to the bar to get a drink. And since the guys that usually ran it were very flirtatious it made getting drinks quickly a bit of a challenge. So they normally order once for the entire night and then nursed it. So it depended on how much stuff they had to do, and she wasn’t about to explain all that to some random guy. Which she believed was either looking for tips or was being friendly in a sexual way. She knew that either was an option however she was never that good at reading guys. Smiling softly at him she wonder what he was playing at.

Soyeon rolled her eyes at the bartender as he threw her words back at her. However, she couldn't help but find him interesting with the way he talked to her. She took the free drink he handed to her, swirling the glass for a second before taking a swig. A sound of content escaped her lips as she swallowed the drink, surprised that it was delicious especially since she wasn't a vodka drinker either, but she would definitely start drinking this more often. "You almost nailed it with the second choice. My ass of a boyfriend cares about what the public thinks of him. So when we're out on a 'date' and people are watching." She paused using her fingers as quotation marks as she stressed the word date. "He treats me like the only girl in the world, but I know it's fake because when we're at home he treats me like I don't exist. I try to make excuses for his behavior, but in reality I know better." She admitted, taking another swig of her drink. The tequila soda from earlier and now this new drink was starting to perk her up just a little. "As for my friends, I didn't bother to call them." A small smile pulled on her lips as she thought about her girlfriends. "If they were here, I would probably be on my 6th drink and listen to them as they encourage me to make bad decisions. So as much as I would love to have them here with me, I needed to be alone and not make bad decisions...well at least try not to." A devious smirk pulled at her lips, but then she just let out a small laugh.
Jooheon nodded, being the owner of the place it was his mission to make sure that his customers were leaving satisfied. He always' listened to the customers suggestions or concerns and then try his best to come up with a solution, even if that means firing some of his staff members. So when he heard girl said it depends on the service, Jooheon knew that her experience here has been a hit and miss, and he was not happy about that. He was going to keep a strict eye on his staff. "Well, I hope I'm doing you justice." He said and grabbed her empty glass. "Would you like for me to make you a drink? It's on the house." Jooheon genuinely offered. He wanted the beauty to be satisfied so that she would still keep coming here and so he could talk to her more.

Kihyun couldn't help but smirk at her. "Fuck not my friends they always talk me out of bad decisions." He couldn't help but chuckled. "But are you sure the reason isn't because they'd tell you to leave his ass, that you deserve better." He told her leaning his upper body on the bar, cocking his head lightly to look over at her. "Because that doesn't sound like a bad decision to me." He looked at her with no hint of smile. His eyes raking over her body openly, before letting his tongue rake across his dry lips. "You shouldn't be ignored, in fact he should be on his knees appreciating every inch of you." He told her, his eyes moving to hers. "At least that's what I would do." He couldn't stop the light smirk that formed on his lips. He was a player and being smooth was an art, of course he did his best to never let his cockiness over win him. It was usually a huge turn off for women. And his dick wouldn't let him forget blowing his chances. Pursuing the wrong person usually ended badly, but tonight however he felt that it wasn't about to end here. She seemed like she needed a man to show her what true attention could be like. Not just fucking, but hold this conversation with her was already opening her up to him by the second.
Yoonja nibbled on her lip as he spoke about doing better. Offering him an half assed smile she wasn't sure what she could say. It wasn't that he was doing a bad job, but she wasn't about to offer validation for his service. It was one of the main reason she wasn't satisfied with service in the first place. She raised a brow as he offered her a free drink. "Don't think it changes much, but it's appreciated none the less." She told him, knowing that words and action done by someone else didn't eraser the actions of others. Turning back to her food she picked at it as she popped open one of the books for her reading assignment. She felt a bit bad about how she dismissed the guy, he obviously wanted to talk to her. But she was no good at it, and felt like she always stuck he foot into her mouth. She hadn't meant to complain, but she was just answering his question. If he was to be their waiter she'd believe they'd never get any studying done. As he was friendly, cared what she had to say, and also seemed like he wasn't interested in just getting tips. However the night was a bit young and he may prove her wrong, though she didn't get that vibe from him.
