Meredith listened curiously as Mab explained where he was from and how his people lived, her eyes widening a bit in excitement. She was fascinated by the way that they lived, and she wanted to know as much as possible about his people. She wondered if maybe Leo would take her there one day, wondering what the homes underground would look like. She blushed a bit when he asked where she was from, glancing up at Leo nervously, seeing how he rubbed the back of his neck. Perhaps he was ashamed of her being a human... It was probably best to lie, his sake. "I was born in a small village nearby. Nothing as fancy as this, and I'm sure it doesn't compare to your home." She said as calmly as she could, offering the other man a small polite smile.
"Our kingdom is centralized, and is where the most powerful Fae tend to come from. Our powers generally aren't tied to one specific element, like mine or my brother's, and my father's magic, which will one day be mine." He explained. "That's why we look a bit different, we're not tied to any one element, but we have strong magic." He smiled down at her as he sipped his drink, looking around the room. He spotted his brother over by the balconies talking with his old friend Mab, glad to see that Meredith seemed to be doing well. "Perhaps tomorrow you and Meredith can meet for lunch, catch up. It's been a crazy few days, and I'm sure getting a chance to speak with each other alone would be good for you both."
