Jasper stretched lazily as he stood, ready to head to his room to eat a quick dinner before retiring for the night, it having been a long, stressful day. He looked down at her when she asked about what he did when he was away from her, he shrugged. "Not really. There are a few things that I attend to, but nothing very important has come up recently. I've mostly been speaking with Artemis about helping you, or my parents, trying to convince them not to marry me off to some stupid bride instead." He explained with a little shrug.

Meredith frowned as he smoothed back her hair and said that she had to wait, nodding a little in understanding as he spoke about seeing her in two days time. "Alright.. Two days.. That's not so bad." She forced a little smile, although she knew that she'd barely be able to manage it.

Emberly stood slowly as he did. He explained what he had been doing and she bit her lip. "How are those conversations with your parents going?" she asked him her bare feet hitting the cold floor. It was the oddest sensation to know he had ice magic and hers fire. It made her want to press into him and feel the magic calm one another. She could melt his ice and he could cool her fire. It seemed almost romantic to think of and she blushed. She didn't know what changed from this morning til now but suddenly it wasn't just friendship she could see them creating together though she wanted to start there first of course. "When will I see you tomorrow?"

Leo grinned and stood offering her his hands. "Let me get you back to the village before I have to leave. I do not want you stumbling in the dark." he said and smiled down at her. She was so stunning. He hated to have to wait but would not risk her safety or the possibility of the potion not working. He would not put Meredith in danger.

Jasper winced a little as she asked about his parents, giving a little shrug. "Not.. not great." He sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "They want me to marry their political match, and are threatening to skip me and give the crown to my brother if I marry you instead. They'll come around, I'm sure. Especially since Leo's fallen in love with a girl from your village too, and he's not wasting any time on trying to get her here " he explained as he walked toward the door, shrugging when she asked what time she'd see him in the morning. "What time do you want to see me?"

Meredith stood with his help, nodding a little as he began to lead her toward the village. Once at the edge of the forest she pulled him into a loving kiss, her arms wrapping around him for a moment before she forced herself to pull away, tears in her eyes as she looked at him. "I'm sure that my mother won't be happy that I've been missing all day.."

Emberly walked with him. she frowned as he said the negotiations weren't going well. She tilted her head as he said Leo was falling for a human as well. She wondered who it was in her village that Leo was in love with but returned her attention to what he was saying. Emberly took his hand squeezing it gently. She was sure it would work out. Emberly bit her lip as he asked what she wanted and she looked down thinking about it. "Can we have breakfast outside?" she asked him. She wanted to go outside and breakfast was a good point to meet him at.

Jasper frowned at Meredith's tears. He caressed her cheeks and kissed a tear. It was weird to him that they where salty but she was still human so he guessed it made sense. "In two days time I will see you again after the afternoon so next time your mother won't get so upset about you missing all day." he said and kissed her softly. A gently kiss that he hoped would linger on his lips and take her through the next few days.

Jasper blinked in surprise as she took his hand and asked for breakfast with him, a slow smile spreading across his lips as he nodded, squeezing her hand. "I can make that happen.. You'll have to start your lessons with Artemis after, though, so I hope that's alright." He told her, reaching up to tuck a strand of hair away from her face. "I'll see you in the morning, sweet Emberly."

Meredith clung to his jacket slightly as he kissed away her tears, nodding a little as he promised when he would come see her. Her heart skipped a beat or two as he kissed her, happily returning it before reluctantly pulling away to let him leave, even though she wanted to hold onto him and beg him not to go.

Emberly smiled and nodded gently. She knew she needed to start to get a control of her emotional fire before anything set her off again. He said goodnight and then left. She sighed and went to get ready for bed. She was going to wake up early in the morning and check the closet to see if she had anything fun to wear. It wasn't long until Emberly crawled into bed and closed her eyes to sleep.

Leo left slipping into the forest and he was nearly home when the change started. He stashed the cloths then flew to his room and slipped inside. He felt a little better for having seen Meredith but felt bad for having to leave her again. He knew they would have two more visits though and on the last visit he would be able to take her home. If all went well that was. He would tell Artemis in the morning to make sure the potion was ready for him but to let him know if she needed another day. Meredith wouldn't be happy about it but he had to make sure it was all right.

Jasper headed to his room, where he ate a quick dinner before bathing and climbing into bed, sighing as he relaxed in the sheets. It was a while before he fell asleep, busy thinking about Emberly, but once asleep he slept soundly through the night. He awoke at dawn, and decided to go for a short flight to help clear his head before breakfast, although time got away from him, so when he finally returned to the tree to meet her for breakfast, he landed on her balcony gracefully, wings fluttering and his hair windswept, quickly adjusting his clothes before lightly knocking at the balcony doors, waiting for her to answer.

Meredith returned to her home quickly, changing into her nightgown before curling up under the blankets in her little cot, looking out the window toward the woods. She hoped that Leo was still thinking about her, just like she was, and she ended up drifting off to sleep thinking about the lingering touch of his lips on hers.

She'd tried to wait the full two days, known she could have waited to speak with him until then, but she finally gave in to her panic and went to the woods hours before their meeting was supposed to take place, hanging a lantern in the tree before pacing the clearing, fidgeting with her fingers nervously. Her mother had given her two choices for tomorrow: Marry the butcher's son, or pledge to become a healer.

Emberly had woke the next morning and gotten dressed with he intention of turning heads. The back of the down dipped low in a v mark to allow for her wings to the keep the dress clinging to her body. She wore simple white sandals and her hair down with little flowers tucked into the crannies so anyone close enough would be graced with them. she had just been tucking the last flower in when she heard the knock at her patio. She frowned and walked tentatively over opening the door. She giggled and brightened seeing Jasper looking free and energized at her balcony door. "How did you get over here?" she asked knowing he had wings but hadn't thought about him landing on her patio. She leaned up on her toes and grabbed a leaf from his hair. She twirled it before him smiling. "You where flying." she said a little jealous.

Leo saw the lantern from his bedroom and frowned making his way to Artemis. "Please tell me you have the transforming potion already ready?" he asked trying to remain calm but the panic in his voice. "The one for me I mean." he said and rubbed the back of his neck. He had not expected there to be an emergency. He was not prepared for one. "Meredith put up our emergency signal and I must get to her." he said and ran his hand through his hair. He could not stand each second that passed. He needed to get to her, to calm whatever worry was in her mind even if he couldn't fix it he had to be there for her.

Jasper's grin only widened when he took her in, starting to reach his hands out to rest against her waist, although he stopped himself before he could, not wanting to scare her. "You look beautiful, Emberly." He smiled, laughing when he picked a leaf from his hair before moving inside. "Yes, I was flying. It helps me think. Maybe once your wings are stronger, I'll try to teach you." He grinned, ghosting a kiss to her cheek before moving over to the table where a servant had set up breakfast for the pair.

Artemis looked up from her work when. Leo came in, frowning as he spoke, unamused. She simply turned and grabbed two potions from her shelf, one the usual one she gave him to transform himself to human size, but the other the same she'd secretly given his brother a week ago the night of the festival. "You may have both. I think you've suffered waiting to be with her long enough. Now hurry up and bring her back, I want to see if she possesses any powers like dear Emberly." She grinned mischievously, as if up to something, before shooing him out of the room.

Meredith was still pacing in the grass when he arrived, too worked up to sit, but when she saw him she couldn't speak, only bursting into sobs as she dropped to her knees. The moon was just starting to peak over the horizon, and she'd dressed in her nightgown, as she'd been trying to sleep before she decided to come see him.

Emberly smiled and blushed looking down as he called her beautiful. "Thank you." she said. She loved his laugh. They walked into her room with him as he was talking. When he mentioned teaching her to fly her eyes shinned and she grinned just thinking about it. She blushed as he kissed her cheek. She felt her wings flutter and bit her lip. It was almost terrible to have her wings reacting so easily to her emotions. she would have to ask Artemis if she could control them better. They sat down and she looked at her room. It was beautiful but she was going to loose her mind if she stayed here today. She needed to get out of the room so she was glad she was going to training after breakfast. She took a bite of something that looked like yogurt and giggled. They had the strangest food even if it was the most delicious thing she had ever tasted. "What else do you enjoy doing?" she asked him. He probably knew she was drawn to swimming with now that she was a fire fairy it was weird and her wings getting wet she was sure was a bad combination.

Leo looked down at the bottle slightly confused. "You said it wouldn't be ready..." he shook his head and hugged her. "I have to go but you can explain it later." he said and whipped out of her room and towards the forest taking care not to be seen. Once he was safely out of the tree he took the potion. He waited anxiously for it to work.Once he was dressed in the human cloths he shoved the tiny vial in his garment bag then set off at a run to Meredith. Before he even got to her she was falling to her knees sobbing. Leo moved to her and pulled her into his arms soothing her hair back. "I am here Meredith." he said and kissed her head. "Shh I will fix it. Whatever it is I will take care of it." he said and rocked her. He just wanted the salt water to stop flowing from her eyes. It broke something inside of him to hear her cry. He would give her a better life. "My love all of this will go away when you come home with me it is okay." he said and turned her into him more so he held her tight his hands in her hair. His lips peppered her face with tender kisses just wanting to stop the tears. He would do anything.

Jasper sat and helped himself to breakfast, smiling over at her as they are, chiming in to tell her what the different foods actually were. He blinked a little in surprise when she asked what else he liked to do for fun, shrugging. "My brother and I got into mischief a lot when we were younger, but I don't know if that counts as fun. I also like sparring, although I'd probably hate to ever have to actually fight someone." He said with a shrug as he finished his meal, sitting back in his seat with a sigh.

Meredith sobbed weakly as he held her, but feeling him holding her was enough to get her to calm down soon enough, although she was still shaking. "M-My mother is making me choose tomorrow.. M-Marry the butchers son, or swear the oath to become a healer.. I-I know you said it was impossible for me to come any sooner, so I just... I guess I just came to say goodbye." She frowned as she looked up at him, fresh tears filling her eyes.

Emberly smiled softly. "Oh well that could be fun then... just for fun not serious battle." she said in agreement. She bit her lip. "The Fae don't normally have war do they?" she asked not sure of how things where done here. she finished her food as well and hoped that they could walk and talk a while longer before she went to magic practice. "How do the Fae normally learn magic?" she asked him thinking that Artemis didn't seem the type to be holding classes on magic for the young Fae of the kingdom.

Leo shook his head. "No Meredith we will go and gather anything you need tonight and you will come with me. I will not let you see a life of sadness when I would be there for you. We will make it work together." he said remembering the conversations him and his parents had been having. "I will take you home tonight." he said and cupped her cheeks. "We will never say goodbye." Leo said and kissed her lips then with the heat of his passion. He was just relieved that Artemis had the potion ready already.

"We've gone to war in the past, but not for a very, very long time." Jasper reassured her, giving her hand a gentle squeeze after reaching across the table to take her hand in his, although he released her quickly once he realized the touch might be unwelcome. "As for magic, we're normally taught when our powers begin to show, which is usually during childhood. Don't worry though, Artemis will help you. She's a little... eccentric.. But she's nice, and very smart, and I owe her a lot for her help." He explained.

Meredith looked up at him with wide eyes when he said he'd take her home tonight, choking back a sob as she buried her face in his chest, sobbing out of happiness. He'd take her away, right now. She wouldn't have to marry that cruel boy, or swear an oath as healer. She could be with him. Once she finally calmed down enough to look up at him he was kissing her, and she returned the kiss before reluctantly pulling away, squeezing his hands. "I.. I don't really have anything at my home worth bringing.. Only clothes, but I doubt any dress I have is really worthy of being brought with me.. Most have holes in them." She frowned, wiping at her eyes as she looked up at him.

Emberly bit her lip as he took her hand to comfort her. She smiled softly as he let go of her hand. she knew he was trying but she didn't know what to think of it all yet. She hoped that meant that they would continue to be a peaceful people. When he told her about the magic she nodded and smiled. She chuckled thinking about Artemis. "I think I will like her." she said and smiled. "Will you walk with me? I think this room is starting to make me feel claustrophobic." she admitted and smoothed her dress as she stood.

Leo smiled as she seemed to relax. He soothed her and when she told him that she had nothing back home to get. He nodded and rubbed her arms. "You won't be wearing anything with holes in them from now on Meredith." he said and smiled. "I need you to do something for me Meredith. First you have to think about this because there is no going back. I want you to tell me you want this knowing that. Then I want you to drink from a vial and I will tell you my secrete." He said.

Jasper smiled as she asked to go for a walk, nodding as he popped one last piece of fruit into his mouth before standing and moving to her door, offering her his arm as he led her out into the hall. "Where would you like to go? Anything in particular that you would like to see?" He asked with a smile. There was still time before her magic lesson, so he figured he'd try to show her around a little.

Meredith looked up at him with a small smile as he soothed her, resting her forehead against his with a happy sigh as he rubbed her arms and spoke to her. She looked up at him in confusion when he asked something of her, gently running her fingers over his jaw, his lips as she looked up at him. She nodded slowly, raising up on her knees to press a loving kiss to his lips. "I want this. More than anything. I'll do anything for a life with you." She murmured, looking at the vial a bit nervously as he held it up before looking back at him and nodding. "Alright.. I trust you, Leo." She murmured, pressing another kiss to his lips before taking the vial and drinking it, blinking a little at the odd taste, and the funny feeling that spread through her.

Emberly walked out into the hall with him and this time took his arm not out of necessity but out of desire. She wanted to be closer to him. "Could you take me to your favorite spot?" she asked and looked up at him. She wondered if he had figured it out yet. She was trying to figure him out and who he was. Yes he adored her and had for a long time but that didn't tell her who he was if she was to tell anyone about him. she couldn't fall in love with him because he was in love with her. She wanted to love him for him if that was how they where going to love.

Leo sighed softly as she said she wanted this still. He took the small vial out of his bag and handed it to her. She looked confused at it and he was sure she would be confused for only a little while longer. He knew she would wake up in the morning a changed woman, or rather a new fae. He kissed her lips gently as she kissed him. He watched her drink the sweet potion. It was strange but oddly sweet he had heard. He kissed her hands. "Meredith I love you and this will be a lot to take in. We don't have much time until the potion starts to work." he said and untied his wings pulling off his shirt letting his large wings spring free. "I am a fairy price and when you wake up next you will be a part of the Fae as well. By telling you my secrete I have sealed your fate to a life as a fairy. I am sorry I could not have told you sooner. I did not want you to be hindered in your decisions to stay or come with me."

Jasper grinned a little, nodding as she requested to see his favorite spot. He led her through halls and halls, winding their way through the tree as he led her out onto a balcony near the top, holding onto her tightly as he led her out, as the wind was strong. The last thing he wanted was her being whisked away. It was a beautiful view of the forest beyond, as well as a view of the Fae's sprawling city below them, and as he led her closer to the edge of the balcony, she could easily see the Fae fluttering about below as they went about their lives. "I like to come here to sit and think sometimes, and to just watch everything that's happening."

Meredith watched him as he began to pull off his shirt, blushing brightly as she started to shield her eyes, although when she saw his wings she dropped her hands as her eyes widened, staring at them in awe as he explained what he was, and what she was going to be. "You're... You're a Fae Prince.." She said in disbelief as looked at him, slowly shifting up onto her knees to run her hands over his shoulders, studying his wings closely. "Can... Can I touch them?" She breathed curiously when she was close enough that her breath tickled his ear, eyes meeting his for the first time since he'd revealed his secret.

As she gazed into his eyes it was like something ached in her chest, like someone had tied a string around her heart and tugged at it. As she looked at him she realized where the tugging was coming from, what she was feeling at the other end of that string. It was his heart, bound to hers, like hers was bound to his. She squeezed his hands as she smiled at him, leaning in to press a gentle kiss to his cheek. "You've gifted me with more than I could have ever dreamed of.. A new life, your love... It's only fair that I offer you my heart in return."

Emberly tucked her wings into her so that they didn't carry her away. Her hair whipped at the ends as she followed him out onto the branch cloning to him. She grinned wildly as she leaned into him as he stopped them at the spot and she looked down her stomach jumping. Without knowing how to fly it made her a little nervous to be up here. She looked out and around seeing her village out there and then around to the different parts of the forest and she knew she felt more at home here in the trees and the wind with wings on her back then she did with anyone in the village. She wasn't quite ready to admit that to Jasper yet though but she was overcome with the serge of emotions about it and for Jasper. She smiled as she looked over at him. He did a lot of thinking. "What are you thinking about so often that causes you to find and do things that take you away from your people?" she asked her eyes searching his. "Do you not feel like you belong here yet?" she asked him as she leaned in looking up at him glad for his arms and pulling them closer to her as her hands moved up his arms and over his chest with a tinting of her cheeks.

Leo closed his eyes content at her touch on his shoulders. She asked to touch his wings and his wings tinted along with his ears. "That is very intimate Meredith, you will see." he said and ran his hands up her sides. She looked down at him their eyes connecting and he felt a tug. It was there like he knew it would be the bond. He did nothing not wanting to bond her without her knowing it. He took her hands knowing the moments where growing short. she kissed his cheek and then he felt the offering. He was nervous she didn't understand but the bond could not be shared between two people who did not want it, even unknowingly. Leo accepted her bond and the mark drew itself on his chest. He placed her hand over it. "My Infinitum." he whispered and pressed his head to hers.

Jasper grinned as he felt her cling to him in the wind, and wrapped his arms around her tighter, holding her tightly against his chest as she gazed out at the city below and her village beyond. "I'll be taking the throne soon.. I have to decide what kind of a King I'm going to be. Do I sit back and let my advisers deal with everything, let them determine what is good for the people, or do I be more active, and make my own decisions." He sighed, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead as he pushed her hair back out of her face before looking back out over the city.

Meredith blushed as he said that touching wings was an intimate gesture, pulling her hands back as she sat back to look at him. Her eyes widened as she watched the mark appear on her chest, watching as her own mark appeared on her own wrist. She blushed as he placed her hand against his chest, starting to feel the world spin around her as the potion began to take affect as he pressed his forehead to hers. "Infinitum.." she whispered softly before she fainted in his arms, beginning to shrink as the potion took affect.

Emberly nodded. It was a complicated choice. If he chose to be involved it would rule his life but if he let the advisers choose his people could suffer. It was not something she felt like she could help him with just yet. She knew nothing about him, his people or advisers. Emberly hummed as he pushed her hair out of her face. "And these advisors do they also get a say in who you marry?" she asked him looking up at him. She might not be ready for the kind of a life he imagined for them but she wanted the option. Especially now that she was feeling something for Jasper that wasn't exactly friendly but not yet relationship.

Leo smiled at the mark that formed on her wrist. He couldn't help but feel complexity content when she said ti back to him. He cradled her to him and tucked her hair back behind her ear watching her shrink. Once she was small enough he picked her up and held her to him as he walked back towards the tree. Once his potion wore off as well he discarded the cloths and put on his fae cloths. He carried Meredith with him holding her to him to protect her modesty. He took her back to his room meeting up with Artemis. Once Meredith was cloths in a silk night gown and laid to bed Artemis looked at the mark on her arm and raised a brow at him. "She offered the bond to me." he said and she left him be. He dressed for bed and moved into his bed beside Meredith. She was his bond. It was deeper than marriage but he would respect her boundaries but he also didn't want her to wake up alone.
