Dangerous

Gray walked down the hallway to get a snack to at least put something in his system for the time being until he finished his work at the studio when he heard a cry of frustration come from a room just opposite of the vending machines. He walked over to the room and knocked. A few moments later, the door opened to reveal a beautiful woman. The same beautiful woman that Simon and Jay signed not to long ago.

‘Are you okay in here? I heard you’re cry of frustration on my way to get a snack.’

It has been a week since Somin has been signed to AOMG after spending a couple years trying to make it in the music industry after being kicked out of JYP Entertainment. Somin was in one of the few private studios in the building, working on writing new material for her debut album. She pressed the keys on the keyboard trying to play a melody that matched the chords that were playing, but Somin was finding that difficult. She clenched her hand into a fist and banged it on the keyboard, which played an unpleasant sound, while letting out a cry of frustration. Soon a knock rapped on the door, causing her to sigh. Somin got up and opened the door to reveal Gray. She had met the handsome produce afew days ago when Jay Park and Simon D introduced her to the AOMG crew.

Somin nodded, but sigh once again. "Yeah I'm trying to write a melody for this song I'm working on, but I can't come up with anything." She said with a shrug.

‘Do you want some help? I mean I can try and help you find the melody for you’re song,’ he gave her a smile as he spoke. He wanted to help the woman with her career but this was a nice excuse to be near her. He noticed her when Simon and Jay signed her and thought she was beautiful and her music was great. He hasn’t heard any of her music yet but he wants to. She must’ve been good for those two to sign her as quick as they did.

Somin blushed slightly, covering her face partially with her hair. "Yeah sure if you want to take a whack at it." She said softly, stepping out of the way so Gray could walk in. Somin closed the door behind them and then sat at the edge of the desk, allowing Gray to sit in the chair which gave him access to the keyboard and other gear. "This is what I have so far." She said and played the track, bopping her head to the beat. "It's this part where I'm stuck." Somin pointed out, tugging on her bottom lip as she was trying hum a melody.

Gray listened to the everything she had. Once it ended, he started going over possible melodies in his head, trying to piece one together for her. He was quiet as he thought. Some time went by before he started what she had up from the beginning, adding what he thought fit what she had. He didn’t notice the way she looked at him as he played along to her song.

Somin watched Gray as he started piddling around with the equipment as he worked on her song. Once he finished, he played the track once more, letting play through without stopping. Somin was shocked at how he was able to find that perfect melody that she wanted and made it work. Then again, Somin knew that he was good at this since he is the lead producer for AOMG as well as being one of the top producers in the hip-hop scene in Korea. "Wow this sounds perfect. Thank you so much helping me out." She said and stood up and moved over to the screen to see what he did. Playing the track from the beginning she started to sing some of the lyrics that she had written for the song, softly under breath.

He smiled when she moved closer to him and that smile widened when she started to sing some of her lyrics softly under her breath. From what he could hear, she sounded amazing. The girl had a voice. He wanted to hear more of it. He wanted her to sing louder so he could hear her voice louder.

‘Somin can you sing louder? I mean if you want to. I’d really like to hear you sing along to the song louder. From what I can hear, you sound amazing. You really do have a voice. Jay and Simon did a great job by hiring you but anyways would you mind singing louder so I can hear you? Again only if you want to.’

Somin blushed but nodded. "Sure." She agreed and sang louder with the track for him to hear. She paused in the middle of the song, seeing that Gray was actually listening to her. "What do you think?" He asked.

‘I like it. I like you’re music. I stand by my earlier statement, even more so now that Jay and Simon made a great choice with you. If the rest of you’re album is as good as this song, then you are going to be a huge hit.’

Somin smiled, "You think so?" She asked. She had been receiving lots of compliments ever since she was discovered by Jay Park and Simon Dominic. "If it wasnt for you, I would still be stuck on this song." She laughed and sat at the edge of of the desk. "You wanna help me record this album? I know what you are capable of and I think we would make a good team." She suggested.

‘I have a few other projects I’m working on the moment but I can make some time to help you with you’re album,’ Gray smiled at her, looking up at her from his position, sitting down in front of her keyboard. He did have a lot of other projects that demanded his attention but he could make time for this beautiful talented woman.

Somin nodded, understanding that he is a busy man. She knew that he had other clients outside of the label that he was working with. "I understand. I have a general idea on for the direction I want to take this album. But whenever you have free time and bored, don't be afraid to come hang with me." She offered. Somin played the track once more and smiled as she bopped her head to the beat. "I'm obsessed with the melody. You're really good at what you do, then again that's why you're heavily requested."

He nodded when she told him she had a general direction she wanted to take her album before he smiled at her telling him to stop by whenever then smiled wider at the compliment, ‘I will definitely take you up on that offer Somin. You can count on that and thankyou. When people start to hear you’re music, you’ll be as heavily requested as I am to collab with other artists. Thinking on that, would you want to do a song with me?’

Somin smiled when he asked her to collaborate with him. She was a fan of his music and just him helping her with that small part for her song was already a dream come true, but actually working on the song together with him was even better. "I would love that." Somin agreed, smiling wider. "We can work on it whenever you're finished with your other projects, or whenever you want."

‘I can do it now. I would love to do it with you now but I understand if you already have enough on you’re plate with you’re debut album. I can wait until you’re finished if you would like. That’s not a problem,’ he told her. He hoped that she would say they could work on the song now because he wanted to spend more time with her but he would understand if she wanted to focus on her album.

"I don't mind working on it now. Maybe we can put the song on the album and make it the first single." Somin suggested as she pulled another chair next to him and sat down in it. She grabbed her notebook so she could jot down some ideas. It was her strategy when she write new music. "What ideas did you have?"

‘What is the direction you’re taking this album in? We can go based on that. Does the album tell a story from start to finish or does each individual song have its own story and meaning?’

Somin looked at him, "I want to tell a story about about life struggles to success. Something I know about since I've gone through it, but is also relatable to others." She said, hoping he would like her idea.
