Cheryl had a seemingly normal life until a vampire nest came to her town and started killing people. She had no idea vampires existed until she came face to face with one. Sam Winchester, the man she fell in love with, had saved her. He stayed with her for almost a month before he said he had to leave in order to protect her. Shortly after he had left, she found that she was pregnant with his child. She wanted to call him so many times and tell him but could never bring herself to do so. 9 months later she gave birth to a baby girl named Lana. Now someone or something had broken into her house and tried to take her 6 month old baby. She was able to fight it off enough to be able to run out and not look back. It had been 2 hours and she felt herself getting tired, pulling off the road to a motel. Thankfully she had emergency cash in her car. Once she was checked in and in the room, she pulled out her cellphone and sent a 911 text with her location to Sam. Her and Her daughter needed protecting from whatever was coming after them. She then sighed as she carefully got Lana out and laid down with her in the bed, waiting for a response from Sam. Maybe he had forgotten her or maybe he just didn't care anymore. She tried to relax as she comforted Lana back to sleep, holding on her.

Sam had been in the middle of nowhere, literally, when his phone went off. They were out on yet another hunt, not that he was complaining. He rather liked the distraction of hunts. They kept his mind from wandering and wondering how Cheryl was, how she was doing. He had only spent a month with the red head but she'd stayed on in his mind for far longer than he had cared to admit, especially with Dean constantly being on his ass about Sam finding himself someone new to obsess over. It was all part of the job, after all. New job, new town, new chick. That was Dean's motto. And now, here they were, sitting in a motel somewhere he didn't even bother to remember, for the first time in a while.

Glancing down at his phone, he frowned. He hadn't heard from Cheryl in over a year and yet, now, she had reached out with nothing but a location. The 911 was what got his attention, though. Jumping out of his seat, he quickly scribbled a note for Dean, placed it on his pillow, grabbed the keys to the Impala and headed out. It would take him few hours but, if he drove through the night, he'd easily get to the redhead by first light. Already in the car with the key turning in the ignition, he quickly typed out a reply to her, letting her know he was on his way. Whatever it was, if it warranted a 911, it was definitely important. And he'd be damned if he ignored it.

Cheryl felt her phone vibrate and she looked at it, seeing the text from Sam. Relief filled her when she read that Sam was on his way to her. Guilt also filled her since she had been hiding Lana from Sam. She didn't know how he was going to react to having a daughter with her. Maybe he would stay with her and never leave again but maybe he would leave forever. She finally texted back, Room 101, letting him know what room she was in. Tiredness finally swept over her as she held on to Lana. She fell asleep rather quickly. A few hours had passed and she woke up to find her daughter still sleeping, She checked her phone to see if Sam texted her. There was no text but she figured he was still driving. She closed her eyes, relaxing in the bed still holding on to Lana. She hoped that Sam would be there soon.

It took him a few hours but, as he pulled up outside the motel, he let out a breath. He hadn't seen Cheryl in over a year and, he had to admit, he was nervous. Sure, the 911 was what brought him here, but it still meant he had to see the redhead. Reaching into the glove pocket for his gun, Sam closed his eyes, mid-shutting the glove box. His mind wandered, for a second or so, to the time he had spent with her. And then, just like that, he straightened up, got out of the car, and made his way to the room. She had already told him her room number, so all he had to do was get there, and knock.

Standing outside the door, he glanced around, weary of even the shadows around him. He'd dealt with a lot of shit over the years, and that had made him suspicious of everything around him. Rapping his knuckles on the door, he waited, his gaze still darting around occasionally, in case whatever this 911 was about was waiting and watching.

Cheryl opened her eyes when she head the familiar sound of the impala’s muffler. It wasn’t exactly the most quiet car in the world. She carefully got out of bed, making sure not wake up their daughter who was still sound asleep on the bed. Nerves filled her as she walked to the door, breathing and taking a moment before opening it. “Hey” She said softly as she looked up at the man she loved. She then moved to the side to let him in, knowing he was going to to see the baby that was on the bed. She closed the door behind him and locked it quickly. “It’s good to see you Sam” she said softly as tears began to form. Year and almost 4 months of guilt building up inside. Before she said another word, she hugged him tightly and didn’t let go. She was unsure how he was going to take the news of their daughter. “Me and my daughter Lana ...Something came after us” she said softly before pulling back to look up at him, tears falling. “I should have told you this sooner but I found out I was pregnant after you left. Lana is your child” she said softly before looking down, more tears falling from her brown eyes.

Stepping into the room, Sam stopped short. A baby lay on the bed, asleep. Cheryl had a kid? The confusion was clear on his face. Before he could say anything though, the redhead had pulled him into a hug, and all his questions melted away. His arms wrapped around the female and he bent his head, breathing her in. She smelled like herself, though not quite. There was a little baby powder in the mix, which wasn't all that surprising anymore, since the baby was right in front of him. Baby. That snapped him out of his thoughts and he dropped his hands to his side, just as she pulled away. His gaze kept darting between Cheryl and the baby, Lana. That was her name. With a breath, he focused on the redhead, on her words, and the shock and surprise took over.

He had a daughter. And something was now after her. He had so many things to say to Cheryl, but he knew now wasn't the time. Instead, he let the hunter in him take over. Taking a step further into the room, he reached for Cheryl. "We'll discuss this later. Right now, if something is after the two of you, we need to figure out what that is so I know how to stop it from coming at you again."
