Impossible

Ella met Steve in 2012 as she was helping him settle into the 21at century, after the whole Loki thing. They became friends, but soon fell in love and became lovers. It wasn’t easy for Steve but Ella was patient and she knew how much Peggy has meant for him. Over the years there was a lot of hardship he was always busy with being an avenger but she understood. She told him time and time again how much she loved him. They moved in together even though he was always away. He certainly took his time to ask for her hand in marriage but he did and shortly married after the Washington thing.

It wasn’t easy but Ella loved her husband and would always help and love him and take care of him. She adores Steve and he adored her. They talked about children if was always so dangerous. The the accords happened and he was on the run and she missed him deeply. It was a few years since she saw him and she was upset and she shouted at him but he took it. She never once cheated or even thought about it. She loved Steve and he had stolen her heart, well, she gave him her heart. They were reunited and right before Thanos snapped his fingers she was very much pregnant.

Twins. James and Sarah names after Steve’s important family growing up it was wonderful. Until the snap, luckily she and the twins didn’t disappear.

Steve rushed to the house he shared with his wife Ella and their twins James and Sarah. It took him awhile to get back home but he went as fast as he could. When he finally got there, he hurriedly unlocked the door and rushed inside, ‘Ella! James! Sarah! Where are you guys!? Please be here. Please.’

Ella has just finished bathing her twins who were three years old..” she heard Steve and was surprised she hadn’t heard from him in months. She walked over after putting the twins to bed “Steve? What are you doing here? I mean..I thought you couldn’t come home?0

‘Oh thank god. You’re okay,’ he rushed over to her and pulled her into his arms, ‘You’re okay. You’re here. You didn’t disappear.’

Ella looked at Steve and knew what he was talking about she had witnessed it and it was scary but had to remain calm for the twins. Thank goodness they didn’t disappear. She hugged him “I missed you... I was scared you wouldn’t come back”

‘I missed you too. I was scared you wouldn’t be here. I’m so happy you are. What about the twins? Are they okay? Please don’t tell me.’

Ella touched Steve’s face “I like the beard” she kissed him softly “they’re fine, I just put them to sleep.”

He kissed her back, ‘oh thank god,’ he said when she pulled away, ‘I’m so sorry. I never wanted to leave. I wanted to stay or bring you guys with me but I couldn’t put you through that. I couldn’t put you in harms way. I’m sorry Ella. I’m so damn sorry.’

Ella smiled softly and pulled him close “we’ve talked about this before Steve, it’s all right, and I know you’re going to want to settle down and retire and just be with us all day.. we’ve been patient.. now come on.. you look like you could use a massage”

He nodded as she led him into the living room, ‘Ella. I lost Bucky...he disappeared when everybody started to do that.’

Ella looked at Steve and hugged him “I’m so sorry, I’m sure you guys will figure a way to bring them back.. you always do”

‘I hope so. Tony is trapped in outer space with Peter. Clint left. Carol is off planet. I don’t know what to do now.’

Ella pulled him close rubbing the back of his neck “talk to people like Sam used to do. Give them some form of peace of mind. You still have us, “

‘I’m glad I still have you guys. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I lost you and the twins too.’

Ella kissed his cheek, “Come let’s rest.. must have been a long day.”

He nodded as he followed her to their bedroom.

Ella helped Steve undress and she was behind him rubbing his tense shoulders. “I’ve missed you so much”

Ella kissed his neck “I know baby, we love you too, “ she pulled him closer “let’s get some rest
