Ian smiled as he walked inside the arena where Taemin would be performing danger to watch. Ian spent weeks creating the dance and teaching it to Taemin. When they reached his table, he sat down and gave Taemin a nod and a smile, ‘you’ll do great Taemin,’ he told him before he was escorted away and to the backstage area. He pulled out his phone and started to text his friends Megan and Chachi back in Los Angeles.

Jimin arrived at the arena, eager to see his best friend Taemin preform, but also because he was performing right after. As he walked backstage, he saw Ian sitting at SM’s table and stopped. He hadn’t seen his ex fiancé since he stood him up at the alter years ago. He definitely didn’t expect to see him here in Korea at Taemin’s performance nonetheless.

Ian smiled at the conversations he was having with Megan and Chachi. They were telling him how proud they were of him and that they miss him a lot and want him to come home to them soon to hang out and maybe choreograph a dance soon. Ian put his phone down once the two girls had to go which was a few seconds after they told him they loved him.

Jimin walked over to talk to Kai and Baekhyun, who were also there to support Taemin. Jimin looked over at Ian, but didn’t say anything. He probably wouldn’t have known he was there until Baekhyun had to open his mouth.

“Jimin ah, do you know him?” Baekhyun asked, which caused Ian to look up and directly at Jimin, who quickly turned away.

Ian took a sip of his wine and sat there, looking around as he waited for Taemin to come out on stage. He turned when he heard someone ask Jimin ah do you know him. When his eyes landed on Jimin, he froze. It sounded like everything else went quiet around him and the only thing he could hear was the rushing of his blood and the pounding of his heart. He turned back around in his seat a moment later. He felt a lump in his throat and tears welled up in his eyes.

Jimin wanted to leave but Kai and Baekhyun pushed him towards the table where Ian was sitting and made him sit down. The two left right after.

Jimin stared at the ground, before clearing his throat. “How...how have you been?” He asked, wondering if Ian could even hear him since he spoke so softly.

Ian tensed up when Jimin’s friends forced him to sit down next to him. He heard Jimin when he started to speak and ask him how has he been. Ian wanted to curse him out for that, yell and scream at him but he didn’t, ‘why do you care?’

“I...I’m sorry..I’m sorry I left you at the alter, Ian...but I was scared..” Jimin admitted, still not looking at him. “I know you probably won’t believe me, and that’s fine..” he said and stood up as the announcer announced that Taemin was going on stage.

A tear ran down Ian’s cheek as Jimin stood from the table he was assigned to be at. He wanted to just leave but he couldn’t. He worked so hard with Taemin over the past few weeks and he had to see Taemin perform his new song on stage for the first time.

Jimin went to the side stage to watch his best friend but he kept glancing back at Ian. He was stupid to stand him up, but that was all in the past now. He hoped Ian could forgive him.

Ian tried his best to ignore Jimin who he could see standing side stage to watch Taemin and just focus on his friend but he couldn’t. He kept thinking about Jimin and the way he just left him at the altar with a half assed apology before running down the aisle and out of the church. Once the song was over, Ian stood and rushed out of the arena, back to his car.

Jimin watched Ian leave and sighed. “He still hates me..” he said under his breath. He quickly put on a smile as Taemin approached him to give him a hug.

Once Ian got into his car, tears streamed down his cheeks, ‘asshole! Who does he think he is!?’ He bowed his head forward to rest on the steering wheel. His body shook. After two years, he has the audacity to ask how he is. He should fucking know how he is. Hurt and angry, untrustful, scared.

While Jimin went to preform, Taemin went to look for Ian. After the crew told him he left, Taemin went to the parking lot, seeing Ian’s car. He went over and knocked on the window.

Ian jumped and wiped away his tears before he looked up at the person who knocked on his window. When he saw it was Taemin, he put the window down, ‘hey I'm sorry I had to run out like that. You did great. I’m so proud of you.’

Taemin smiled. “Thank you. Do you want to go get some food?” He asked, hearing his stomach growl.

Ian nodded, ‘sure get in man. We can go get whatever you want. I’m good with anything.’

Taemin got in the car and looked at him. “I was going to stay to watch Jimin but I wanted to eat.” He chuckled.

Ian tensed at the mention of Jimin’s name as he started up the car, ‘so where do you want to eat?’ He asked as he quickly composed himself.
