Taehyung smiled as he walked arm and arm with Jungkook into the room, big hit wanted them and the rest of their group to meet in. Once they walked in, they saw a new guy sitting on the couch, looking nervous. He nodded at him before he sat down on a chair before Jungkook sat down on the arm of the chair.

Once the rest of the guys arrived, PD Nim walked in and began telling them how he had found the 8th member for their group, before pointing to YueYue.

“This is Yue Minghui. He’s a popular rapper from China, but after his agency went bankrupt, he came to Korea to look for a new agency. I hope you all will treat him with respect.” PD Nim said.

Minghui was still nervous, but he stood and bowed, thanking PD. He looked at the boys, who eyed him up and down. He was rather tall, standing at 6’0 and probably looked pretty mean, but he was the sweetest person ever.

“Thank you and I look forward to working with all of you.” He said in Korean.

The guys didn’t say anything, just looked the man up and down. Who the hell was this guy? They didn’t need an eighth member. They were fine with seven. They worked well with seven. Once PD Nim left the room, all the guys except for Taehyung started to voice that thought.

“Why couldn’t you find some place else in China?” Hoseok spoke first.

“Well...uh...no other agencies wanted to take me.” Minghui admitted.

“You must be terrible then.” Yoongi said before standing up, “I’m going back to my studio.” He mumbled and walked out of the room.

“Can you even rap in Korean?” Jimin asked.

“I can.” Minghui nodded, as he sat back down. He could already tell the guys didn’t like him.

Jungkook scoffed, ‘like yoongi hyung said you must be terrible if no other agency in China wanted you. Also let’s get one thing straight, we don’t want you here and we will make sure that you know that every single day until you quit and give us peace.’

Taehyung didn’t say anything. He just stayed silent while the guys harassed the new member.

Minghui didn’t say anything, and the guys started leaving one by one, some even muttering racial slurs about him under their breath as they left.

Minghui looked up at the one boy who remained. He tried to give him a smile, but he was on the verge of tears. “You’re not joining them?” He finally got out, choking back the tears.

Taehyung looked up at the boy who looked like he was about ready to cry, ‘no,’ he told him before leaving the room. He felt bad for the boy. He didn’t deserve to be treated like that. The guys we’re being mean for no reason what so ever. It’s not the first kpop group that would have a non Korean member and it wouldn’t be the last so he didn’t know why they were giving him that kind of treatment instead of welcoming him.

Minghui sat there for a moment, mostly so he could cry without being bothered. He pulled his phone out to text Ziyang and Lingchao, his two best friends who were also in his group back in China.

He, of course, lied and said that everything was great and that he was welcomed with open arms, because he didn’t want them to worry.

“Taehyung ah...can you believe PD Nim?” Jimin asked as Taehyung walked through the dorm living room.

‘What’s the big deal?’ Taehyung asked Jimin because he didn’t see the big deal about having a Chinese member, ‘I don’t see the big deal that you guys are making. Lots of Korean groups have Chinese, Japanese, Thai members.’

“Yeah but we’re not lots of groups.” Jimin said. “Jiminie is right. It works for other groups like EXO, but then again, all their Chinese members left now, and they’re doing better than ever.” Hoseok said.

“Lay is still there, but he’s cool.” Namjoon said.

‘I don’t see the big deal but whatever,’ Taehyung told them before leaving the building. He was goin to head back to the dorms to relax. He didn’t exactly want to be around them right now and start an argument so he left.

“He’s not joining.” Jin said as soon as Taehyung left. “I’ll make sure of it, even if I have to do something drastic.” Jin said, as he watched the new guy come out of the room finally.

“Jimin, go pretend to be nice...see if you can find anything out about him that can help us get rid of him.” Namjoon whispered in Korean.

“Yeah, see if he has any allergies or something, who knows, I might accidentally poison him.” Jin said, seeing Namjoon roll his eyes.

“No, hyung. We don’t want to kill him, we just want to scare him off so he won’t join us.” Namjoon said.

Jimin walked over, ‘hey about before. I’m sorry. That was incredibly rude of me. Of all of us. I’m sorry,’ he told him, putting on a fake apologetic smile, hoping that the new guy would buy into his nice act. Jungkook joined him, ‘Yeah I’m sorry man. Welcome to bangtan.’

Minghui looked up from his phone, placing it in his pocket. “Oh, it’s okay...I appreciate you guys apologizing.” He said, giving them a smile. “I really do look forward to working with you all.”

They nodded. Jimin gave him a hug and laid his head on the others shoulder, ‘you know your really cute. Would you maybe want to go on a date with me?’

Minghui blushed before nodding. “Sure, I’d love that.” He said. He thought Jimin was cute to, but he wouldn’t say that out loud.

Jimin smiled, ‘great. Tonight, eight o clock,’ he told him before kissing his cheek, ‘I can’t wait.’

Minghui blushed as Jimin walked off. He looked at Jungkook, “is he always that up front about these things?”

‘Yes. If Jimin likes somebody, he’ll tell them. He’s very blunt. He doesn’t beat around the bush with anything.’
