"Now listen up guys, I'm no happier about everything that's gone down between us and The Northsiders on the other side of these doors, but we're here regardless of the past and well as much as I would love for our time here to go forward without any bumps along the road we all know that won't happen. So don't start any fights. And don't go looking for them either. Also if you do end up in any kind of altercation make sure it's off the school grounds is possible. We can't let anyone get suspended because I'm sure that will lead to being split up and that can't happen. Now don't forget that if anyone catches wind of anything out of the ordinary at all especially regarding the southside report it back to me. Because something fishy is going on around here, and I have a gut feeling we'll find our answers somewhere in this school with someone," Blair said before she tossed her hair over her shoulder and turned back towards her new school. Riverdale High.

It actually felt very surreal to be standing there in front of such a pristine school, though anything would be considered pristine compared to Southside High which was long past its glory days. Sadly SSH had been falling apart for a while now. Most of the teachers didn't care enough to keep anyone in check so there was hardly any teaching that ever got done, plus apparently, some of them had been selling drugs to and with the students. Most of the lockers were pretty beaten up, there was always a weird smell that took over the entire school. The ceiling leaked, the food couldn't even be described as mediocre. And there weren't very many good qualities about the place at all. But it had been home. Blair and the rest of The Serpents could count on Southside High being awful, it never let them down because it never changed. Plus this kept well all of them old enough to be enrolled in school off the streets. Though Blair was really trying to turn things around for them all. She wanted to be a better leader than they'd ever had. She wanted to lead The Serpents down a different and better path. One that didn't end up with them all dead or in prison by the time they were 30. And she felt like she could with the few people she had on her side. Because they could easily convince everyone else if she couldn't, the only issue that she had to face really was if she trusted Jughead or not.

"So Jug, you plan on showing at least a couple of us around right? I mean you have, after all, gone to school here while I don't think any of us have even stepped foot in this place," she said as she walked up to Jughead planning to keep him at her side as long as possible to keep an extra close eye on him. Mostly as a promise to Sweets and Fangs that she'd vet him as well as only she could, but also because she did want to make sure that allowing him to stay part of the gang wasn't a bad choice.
Sweet Pea soot outside of Riverdale high only halfway listening to Blair give her 'I'm the leader so do as I say speech'. Hell, he'd helped her figure out the best way to say things a couple of nights ago when she'd called him to come over. And he was very thankful that she'd called him too because it gave him a reason to get out of his house and away from his dad. But he was pretty sure he knew that Blair hadn't called him to help her figure out how to keep everyone in check at their new school. It was because she knew all about his home life and cared too much to let him suffer. Though it was likely neither of them would ever admit to that. After all, Sweet Pea had an image to uphold being tough and not letting things drag him down, and Blair had always had his back for everything. So he knew that he could trust her with his life because she would never betray him.

But he also knew that Blair was correct in how she wanted things to go down. They did need to go into Riverdale High on their best behavior really. They couldn't mess around here and there was no way they'd all survive if they ended up being split up because someone made a stupid choice. "Dude, are you going to be okay seeing her here?" He heard Fangs ask as his hand also slapped his shoulder.

Sweet Pea rolled his eyes and nodded his head. "Of course, I'll be fine. Why wouldn't I be? I mean just because we are inevitably going to end up running into Aurora while we're here means nothing. She made her choice to abandon us when she moved here and I have nothing to say to her other than clearly we all know where her loyalties lay and it wasn't with her friends. Plus I don't think it's me we should be worried about if you get what I'm saying," Sweet Pea said eyeing their fearless commander Blair and Jughead walking into the school.

"You really think we should be worried about Blair? When have we ever had to worry about her? She's never had any problems holding her own. Hell, she's probably the best member we have to vet people before deciding if they're good enough to stay or not,"

"I know that. I'm not worried about Jughead anyway. I mean that we both know Blair probably better than anyone. And while she's not someone to be trifled with, she's also very protective of her friends and I just think we should keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't let herself get out of hand. Because we both know what she's capable of,"

Aurora Sharpe was just as well-versed in all things Southside as Jughead Jones was. However, the difference was that she had pretty much immersed herself in all things Northside since her family moved into the two-story home on Elm Street the summer before her freshman year of high school. At first, she’d resisted, insisting on spending as much time with her friends on Southside as she possibly could before school started back up just after Labor Day. All that changed on the first day of school when Cheryl Blossom approached her during lunch and thrusted a flyer for cheerleading tryouts into her hands, insisting that the petite blonde would make the perfect addition to the River Vixens.

Shortly after that, Gavin Sommers, the boy every girl at Riverdale High School wanted, happened. He was the epitome of Northside royalty: just the right mixture of perfect grades, athletic ability and boyish charm. Nothing like anyone Aurora had ever shown any sort of interest in in the past. They spent hours talking and laughing over milkshakes at Pop’s one night after school. That was all it took for Aurora to get hooked on him. In just a few short weeks, she had completely rebuilt herself and all but forgotten those she left behind at Sunnyside Trailer Park.

Unlike Cheryl, Aurora wasn’t phased by the integration of some Southside High students at their school. She knew that there was a good chance that she would know a few of them, more importantly that he might be one of them, but she wasn’t the same girl she’d been back then and she doubted that he was the same boy she grew up with either. She had moved on from her life on the Southside over a year ago, and she had zero intentions of going back.

A startled shriek escaped the blonde’s lips as she stopped at her locker to grab her books for a first period and a pair of arms wrapped around her waist, twirling her around for a moment before setting her back down on the ground. Aurora whirled around and hit her boyfriend lightly in the chest as he laughed and leaned against her locker, pulling her petite frame closer to him. “Oh my god, don’t do that!” She exclaimed, though a laugh escaped her lips as well. “I missed you.” Gavin said, sending one of his charming smiles her way. Aurora rolled her ocean eyes slightly in response though a smile tugged at the corners of her lips. “It’s been like ten minutes.” She countered. “Tell me about it.” Was Gavin’s response before he pulled her in for a kiss. Yep, her life on the Northside definitely wasn’t half bad.
Jughead honestly didn’t know how he felt about returning to his old high school. A couple of weeks ago, he would have been thrilled, but he was barely talking to Archie, and things with him and Betty had been super tense since she broke up with him amidst him completing initiation for the Serpents. On top of that, there was the fact that he’d have to deal with the likes of Cheryl Blossom and Reggie Mantle again. Needless to say, Riverdale High was honestly probably one of the last places he wanted to be. He knew that he didn’t have a say in the matter, Southside High was going to be demolished any day now, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t wish that things were different.

The school might have been a major eyesore, but he liked to think that it had its own charms. He knew that most of the Serpents, like Sweet Pea and Fangs, were thrilled to get out of the school they had deemed a hellhole, but Jughead had grown accustomed to its graffitied halls and espestis-filled walls.

Truthfully, he had tuned out most of Blair’s speech. He knew that the redhead meant well, and if there was anyone in the group of younger Serpents likely to give some sort of a motivational speech it was her, but he didn’t really think any amount of words would get the likes of Sweet Pea not to punch Reggie Mantle in the face should the football player choose to run his mouth. He still gave Blair props for trying though, someone had to do it.

He offered the redhead a nod when she asked if he was planning on showing some of them around the school. “If anyone wants me to give them the grand tour I will.” He told her. There wasn’t a whole lot to see, Riverdale High wasn’t huge by any means, but he figured that it still had much more to offer than most of them were used to. He also knew from experience how daunting starting at a new school could be, regardless of its size. “We should probably head inside though, the bell for first period is going to ring in a few minutes and Weatherbee won’t hesitate to give us all detention if we’re late.”

    [Hope this was okay!!]

Sweet Pea walked into the school with Fangs by his side and tried not to let himself feel overwhelmed. It was completely different than Southside. There was no graffiti on the walls or weird smells that seemed to linger. All of the lockers had doors with actual locks, the bathrooms were very clearly labeled men and women, there weren't strange stains on the floor that had been there so long no one was sure what it was any more blood or ketchup. There weren't guards at the doors directing traffic pretty much to make sure no one had any weapons on them, though Sweet Pea had a feeling they hadn't ever really cared because so many people always had their knives on them all the time, so maybe they were just checking for guns, either way, Riverdale high was already ranking much higher than Southside ever had. Even though Southside High was his home school, it had shockingly enough been a semi-safe space for him, he had a feeling Riverdale was going to be much better.

"Who do you think is going to say something to us first?" He heard Fangs ask which brought about a sigh. Sadly, Sweet Pea knew that someone was going to have words for him because it was no secret that the Bulldogs and the Serpents did not get along. Of course, anyone who had words for him would get an earful right back. Because he wasn't the type of guy to back down, he wasn't going to just roll over or run away from a fight. Which was another reason he'd tune out Blair's speech, of course, he knew she was talking to the young ones. The Serpents who were still trying to fit into the group or who were finally being initiated, and of course the ones who were still trying to get out of Blair's dog house or trying to suck up to her. Because while Sweet Pea knew she was going to have a hell of a time convincing some of the elders to let her be 'queen', there was no one better suited than Blair to run the Serpents once it was handed to their generation.

"I don't know Fangs, but I'm sure there's a Bulldog or two that'll seek us out. And ya know technically as long as we don't seek them out then Blair can't be upset with us," he said shrugging his shoulders. "Though I'm sure it'll be that one douche most likely. Or I suppose it might be the redhead asshole who's like friends with Jughead. I need to know if he can be trusted or not. I mean I know he's Serpent blood and all but he's spent his whole life over here. He's friends with some of these people. And I need to know for sure which side he's on or at least going to be on if a war breaks loose. Ya know?"

Fangs nodded his head. "I know, but that's what Blair's doing. Making sure that he's really one of us and not one of them,"
Blair nodded her head in response to Jughead. That was something else she knew they were all going to have to get used to. At Southside High there may have been rules about being late but no one followed them. People would pretty much come and go as they pleased. There were some students who were late more often than on time and the teachers had simply come to accept it. There had also been just as many times when teachers would be late or just not show up at all, leaving their classes to be complete and utter chaos. Normally the issues with students weren't the Serpents. It was mostly the Ghoulies, who all seemed to think they were the most badass gang around town, trying to stir up trouble. Or it was the students who weren't part of either group and tried to go about things on their own. Not that the Serpents were perfect angels, because even Blair knew they weren't. But they did know how to pick their battles, and of course how to strike at the most opportune times. They were called The Serpents for a reason, after all.

"Well I know I would appreciate a grand tour if at all possible," Blair told him as they walked inside. "I know it's silly to hope that this all goes well, and there's no drama because that's not why we are here. But I know someone is going to say something and Sweet Pea won't be able to hold himself back and he'll probably end up in a fight. And of course, wherever Sweet Pea goes Fangs isn't far behind, so of course, I'll have to help them both get out of trouble, but I do hope that it can at least wait until tomorrow," she biting her lip and glancing back at her friends.

She worried about the boys probably more than she should, but she couldn't help herself. Sweet Pea and Fangs were her brothers. They had all grown up together and Blair had done all she could to help pull him off the edge when Rory bailed on them after she moved to The Northside. Plus over the last few months, she knew his home life wasn't getting better and someone needed to be there for him. He needed his family, even if he wasn't very keen on opening up to her, or anyone for that matter, Blair chose to stay by his side because Sweet Pea was her friend, her brother, and someone needed to look out for him.

Aurora was a bit...preoccupied by her boyfriend to notice the arrival of the Southside High students. A giggle escaped her lips as she placed her hand in the center of Gavin's chest. "We're going to be late for class." She said. "Since when has that ever stopped us before?" The Northside King sent her another one of his signature smiles, one that had her weak in the knees from the first moment that she met him, but in this moment caused her to send a playful eye-roll his way. "We have a history test." She reminded him. "And if I skip class, I can't go to practice tonight. If I can't practice tonight, I can't participate in tomorrow's gave, and Cheryl will murder me if that happens." A few months ago, she never would have imagined being worried about missing cheer practice of all things. A lot had changed since then though. Six months ago, she was living on the Southside of town in Sunnyside Trailer Park with her parents and two younger siblings. Now they had a house on Elm Street with a white picket fence and pretty much everything else one would imagine the picturesque cookie-cutter family to have.

The blonde was taken from her own thoughts when her boyfriend sighed and nodded his head in feigned defeat. "Fine, you win. But only because Cheryl Blossom is the last person whose bad side I want to be on." Aurora smiled and leaned up to peck her boyfriend on the lips when the ping of the speakers signaled an announcement was going to be made. She paused, eyebrows furrowing slightly as she listened to Weatherbee speak. "Good Morning students of Riverdale High, this is your principal speaking. Effective immediately: Southside High School is shutdown. The students will be transferred to other schools, including this one. We should be receiving them shortly."
Jughead wasn't really sure what to expect from today. When he transferred to Southside High, it was the last place that he wanted to be, but now that he was returning to Riverdale High, he kind of felt out of place. He should have been excited that he was going to get to see Betty much more frequently, but he wasn't. Maybe he had changed a lot more than he had initially thought. He was taken from his thoughts when the red-haired girl beside him started talking. He nodded in response to Blair's words. "I'll try to be the best tour guide you'll ever find, Harlow." He said, sending a faint grin her way. He had gotten to know Blair rather well since he started hanging out with Toni and the rest of the younger Serpents, and they got on a lot better than he originally thought that they would. Of course, Toni had been the most welcoming of the group to him initially, but that was likely because Blair was close with Sweet Pea and Fangs who both very obviously voiced their dislike towards him for a while.

"I totally get it, I would love for things to remain drama free too, but the likelihood of that his pretty slim given how much of a hothead Sweet Pea can be." Jughead frowned slightly. Given Sweet Pea still kind of seemed to dislike him though, he wouldn't necessarily mind too much if the tall serpent's aggression was channeled elsewhere for a while. Not that he was going to tell Blair that. "A lot of the students here can be...judgy....but there are some who aren't so bad."

Sweet Pea could think of about fifty places he would rather be right now than walking down the halls of Riverdale high. Not because it was a bad school, and not because he was some delinquent who hated to learn. But because he actually didn't know if he could handle what they were walking into. They were walking into unknown enemy territory totally unguarded. Now he had complete faith in Blair, what he didn't have faith in however was the Northsiders. He knew they would play dirty and likely use their privilege to try and end the serpents all together, though he supposed that's what made them sticking together now most important. Fangs had made a point though, it was only going to be a matter of time before someone in this school came at them, and even if he wanted to control himself, Sweet Pea had a hot head that wouldn't allow him to. He was conflicted. Plus the farther into the school he walked the more it dawned on him that no matter how big this school was he was going to run into her. Rory. A girl he had all but convinced himself was dead. And he wasn't sure how he was going to handle that.

"Dude are you okay?" Fangs asked him, noticing the color slowly draining from his face probably.

Sweet Pea nodded his head, "yeah man I'm fine. Just realized how small this place really was and realized that we're going to have to actually try real hard if we want to avoid her. I mean look at this place, there are so many ways we could run into her. And I am not exactly prepared for that. I don't know how I'm going to handle it. I'm never like this. So I don't know what the hell is wrong with me now. Fangs, I need you to punch me or slap me, or something, snap me out of this weird mindset-"

Before Sweet Pea could say another word Fangs was already obliging and he felt his friends hand come in contact with his face.

    "Thanks,"
"Let me handle Sweet Pea. He is very hot headed and I'm well aware of that. I'm also well aware that the moment any Northsider tries anything he'll likely lose his temper and get himself into trouble. Regardless, he's like a brother to me so I will have his back. We're hoping that doesn't happen today though," Blair said smiling briefly at Jughead offering to be the best tour guide he could be. "Welcome to high school then, people are judgy no matter what school you're in. And we don't scare too easily. So let them come and let them judge, but most of us stopped caring about what the rich and privileged have to say about us and as long as we stick together and remember who are family is it will stay that way. But I can promise you that if we aren't careful and don't stick together it will be our undoing. Which I won't let happen as long as the rest of them are willing to follow me. After all, we are only as strong as we are united," she added before tossing her hair over her shoulder. Blair gave her heart to the serpents, she had been with these people for as long as she could remember and nothing was going to stand in her way of protecting them until the end. They were a family, the only family she'd ever really known, and the only one she felt like she needed. So of course, she would go to the end of the world for her people.

If anything the serpents had taught her so much, such as the meaning of family and being stronger together. She had a nearly unbreakable bond with Sweet Pea, Fangs and Toni and she wouldn't give that up lightly. At one point they had even felt that way about Aurora, but then Aurora had turned her back on them. And while Blair had wished things were different, or that she could mend things with one of her once best friends, she didn't speak such things into the world. Bringing up Rory anywhere near Sweet Pea caused a scene, so it was better left alone.

"I assume the not so bad kids you're talking about are your friends? So the blonde girl who left you the night you took your jacket and then the red headed kid who clearly needs to think things through a little better before he tries to start rebellions? Nothing against them or anything, because I don't know them. But if that is who you're talking about I admire your seemingly unwavering bond to them. Clearly you all made a vow to one another that you're still upholding. And that shows a lot about your character. And I hope that we can meet them under circumstances that will allow us all to see eye to eye about things."
