"Now listen up guys, I'm no happier about everything that's gone down between us and The Northsiders on the other side of these doors, but we're here regardless of the past and well as much as I would love for our time here to go forward without any bumps along the road we all know that won't happen. So don't start any fights. And don't go looking for them either. Also if you do end up in any kind of altercation make sure it's off the school grounds is possible. We can't let anyone get suspended because I'm sure that will lead to being split up and that can't happen. Now don't forget that if anyone catches wind of anything out of the ordinary at all especially regarding the southside report it back to me. Because something fishy is going on around here, and I have a gut feeling we'll find our answers somewhere in this school with someone," Blair said before she tossed her hair over her shoulder and turned back towards her new school. Riverdale High.
It actually felt very surreal to be standing there in front of such a pristine school, though anything would be considered pristine compared to Southside High which was long past its glory days. Sadly SSH had been falling apart for a while now. Most of the teachers didn't care enough to keep anyone in check so there was hardly any teaching that ever got done, plus apparently, some of them had been selling drugs to and with the students. Most of the lockers were pretty beaten up, there was always a weird smell that took over the entire school. The ceiling leaked, the food couldn't even be described as mediocre. And there weren't very many good qualities about the place at all. But it had been home. Blair and the rest of The Serpents could count on Southside High being awful, it never let them down because it never changed. Plus this kept well all of them old enough to be enrolled in school off the streets. Though Blair was really trying to turn things around for them all. She wanted to be a better leader than they'd ever had. She wanted to lead The Serpents down a different and better path. One that didn't end up with them all dead or in prison by the time they were 30. And she felt like she could with the few people she had on her side. Because they could easily convince everyone else if she couldn't, the only issue that she had to face really was if she trusted Jughead or not.
"So Jug, you plan on showing at least a couple of us around right? I mean you have, after all, gone to school here while I don't think any of us have even stepped foot in this place," she said as she walked up to Jughead planning to keep him at her side as long as possible to keep an extra close eye on him. Mostly as a promise to Sweets and Fangs that she'd vet him as well as only she could, but also because she did want to make sure that allowing him to stay part of the gang wasn't a bad choice.
Sweet Pea soot outside of Riverdale high only halfway listening to Blair give her 'I'm the leader so do as I say speech'. Hell, he'd helped her figure out the best way to say things a couple of nights ago when she'd called him to come over. And he was very thankful that she'd called him too because it gave him a reason to get out of his house and away from his dad. But he was pretty sure he knew that Blair hadn't called him to help her figure out how to keep everyone in check at their new school. It was because she knew all about his home life and cared too much to let him suffer. Though it was likely neither of them would ever admit to that. After all, Sweet Pea had an image to uphold being tough and not letting things drag him down, and Blair had always had his back for everything. So he knew that he could trust her with his life because she would never betray him.
But he also knew that Blair was correct in how she wanted things to go down. They did need to go into Riverdale High on their best behavior really. They couldn't mess around here and there was no way they'd all survive if they ended up being split up because someone made a stupid choice. "Dude, are you going to be okay seeing her here?" He heard Fangs ask as his hand also slapped his shoulder.
Sweet Pea rolled his eyes and nodded his head. "Of course, I'll be fine. Why wouldn't I be? I mean just because we are inevitably going to end up running into Aurora while we're here means nothing. She made her choice to abandon us when she moved here and I have nothing to say to her other than clearly we all know where her loyalties lay and it wasn't with her friends. Plus I don't think it's me we should be worried about if you get what I'm saying," Sweet Pea said eyeing their fearless commander Blair and Jughead walking into the school.
"You really think we should be worried about Blair? When have we ever had to worry about her? She's never had any problems holding her own. Hell, she's probably the best member we have to vet people before deciding if they're good enough to stay or not,"
"I know that. I'm not worried about Jughead anyway. I mean that we both know Blair probably better than anyone. And while she's not someone to be trifled with, she's also very protective of her friends and I just think we should keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't let herself get out of hand. Because we both know what she's capable of,"
[ I hope this didn't suck! ]
