At the sight of Daniel, an excited smile came over her face. "I have been quite well, thank you for asking. I hope that you are in good spirits for your first day?" Giselle motioned for Daniel to follow her from her office as she started to head down the halls towards the library.

Daniel nodded, "yes I'm looking forward to it," he said softly. He followed behind her, conscious of the weapon now hanging from his side. He was used to walking around with a dagger at hand, but a full sword, was a little different

"I am glad to hear it." Giselle told him as she walked into the library. Once he was inside, the door closed behind them. Giselle stopped at the front of the room, letting out a small hum before heading between the many bookshelves towards the back of the library. "I was thinking that we should celebrate your first day!"

Daniel smiled softly, "really what did you have in mind?" he asked curious. He followed behind her, keeping an eye out for potential threats, not that it was very likely.

Once they reached the back of the library, Giselle took a moment to ensure that no one was around. She then pull back a tapestry and pushed open the wall, revealing a secret staircase. "I was thinking a trip into town." Giselle said excited before turning to step inside.

A huge smile came over Giselle's lips, both pleased and surprised that Daniel was so willing to go into town with her without a second thought. Any of the other guards would have given her a huge hassle. "Well it is a good thing I thought about that then." Giselle said as she threw a pack Daniel's.

Daniel looked caught the pack and watched her, "I'm not supposed to let you go into town, but the way I see it, I'm supposed to protect you wherever you are," he commented. He looked through the pack, "this would work, I do have a simple request, listen to me and follow my directions, I know the streets of this city," he added

Giselle was quiet for a moment as Daniel told her his simple request. In her eyes, it wasn't all that 'simple'. There was really only one person she listened to and that was her father. Even that was difficult some days. But she had to remind herself why she wanted Daniel as her guard. It was to be safe and to finally be able to go into the city without all the fuss. "Very well."

Daniel smiled softly and watched her. He tapped her shoulder lightly, "I'll only give you directions if you are in danger, my hope is that we will be able to prevent that," he said softly. He stepped back, "shall we keep moving?" he asked

A light smile came over her lips as he explained a little more. "That sounds good to me." She then glanced down at herself before stepping into the secret staircase. "Just a moment." The princess closed the door. Minutes later, she opened it up, wearing a new dress that was more 'noble' and less 'princess'. "It was all I could find but this should work, right?"

Daniel smiled at her as she reappeared, "for the upper part of the city, that will be fine," he said softly. He looked her over for a moment, "so where exactly in the city did you want to do princess?" he asked

"Oh, I just wanted to explore all of it. Though I went to the markets the other day so let's not go there." She was quiet for a moment before looking up with a huge smile on her face. "I want to go to one of the taverns that the guards are always talking about!"

Daniel nodded softly, "that sounds good, perhaps not all in one trip, though," he jested. He looked at her, "I can find a tavern," he said lightly.

The smile across her face grew when he insinuated that there would be multiple trips. Hiring him was certainly one of her better decisions. "Then lets go," Giselle said as she started to head into the secret tunnel. "Make sure to close the wall behind you."

Daniel nodded and slipped into the tunnel closing the wall behind him. "Just be careful Princess, I can't have you getting hurt on my first day," he said

"That is why you are here. To make sure that I don't get hurt." Giselle teased him gently. Though she took note of his request. It was fair so she would try not to get herself into any trouble like last time. As they moved through the tunnels, they went rather deep, the stone of the walls getting quite cool to the touch. Giselle continued to lead the way, stopping as some light peeped through around a corner. Giselle turned her head around it, making sure no one was there before taking Daniel's hand and hurrying him out of gate entrance, locking it up once they were through. It led them right past the servant's entrance to the castle at the back. Giselle was quick to merge themselves with the crowd.

Daniel followed along behind her, she moved with such grace even in cramped tunnels. He looked around to see if anyone noticed as they came out of the tunnel exit, and merged into the crowd. He pulled her close, "okay, take my arm, Giselle," he said softly, "pretend were a couple out for a stroll," he added

At his words, Giselle was quick to follow suit. She moved into his side and took his arm. Her fingers lightly laid on him. She looked to Daniel for a moment to confirm that he was satisfied with how they were walking before she started to look around. "It is quite a lovely day."

Daniel nodded walking with her close to his side. "That it is, Giselle, shall we find someplace interesting to visit?" he asked softly. It felt odd, to be so casual with the Princess, but Daniel quite liked it.
