Jia smirked when she finally got him to listen to her. She rolled her eyes and smiled softly when she saw Yongguk immediately passed out when he laid down in her bed, and let out a quiet giggle. Jia then climbed into the bed and fell asleep shortly after.

the next morning, Jia woke up due to hearing snores in her ear as well a breath tickling her ear. Her eyes roamed down to her torso to see a strong man's arm wrapped around her waist and her back was pressed against his chest. She turned her head slightly to see who was holding her, without waking up the person. When she saw Yongguk was sleeping behind her, that was when she remembered everything that happened the night before. "I'm such a fucking idiot/" She said to herself.

Yongguk stirred but didn’t wake. He held Jia against him as he continued sleeping.

He woke a few hours later to an empty bed and a note. It said I’m sorry but I shouldn’t have. We shouldn’t have. You can have breakfast or lunch then please go. Yongguk sighed as he put the note down before getting up and leaving her place without food to go to his studio and continue to work on his music.

Jia was in her dance studio working on a new choreography for herself. The agency wanted her to start focusing on releasing a new album, now that she was no longer assigned to help Jongup with his comeback. Fortunately for her, Jia had already had a few raw recorded versions of her songs for the new album so all she had to tweak those recordings and record two more songs and she'll be done with the song writing part. However, right now she needed to clear her mind. She hated how she had gotten so drunk that she broke down and cried in front of Yongguk and then literally made him sleep in her bed with her. Jia knew that they didnt fuck, but she slept in the same bed with her ex boyfriend's best friend. Although she remembered that he told her that he was on her side, she still felt guilty and then she felt bad about the note she left and she hoped that he knew that she still appreciate him for taking her home when he did. Sighing, Jia stopped dancing and took out her phone and sent Yonnguk a quick text. 'I'm sorry for the note. I know we didnt do anything. Can we meet up for lunch and talk?'

He didn’t notice her text until that night when he finished working for the day, ‘sorry I worked straight through lunch. I had a lot to do on my album and I still do. If you want to that’s fine but I don’t want to overstep or make you uncomfortable because I’m Jongup’s friend.’

'You told me last night that you are my friend and that you are on my side of this matter, right? If that's still true, then I still want to talk to you. If not, then we can just forget everything that happened and go on with our night.' Jia texted Yongguk back as she was getting ready to leave her agency's building to go home. 'If you are free for a bit tonight, come over and I'll make us dinner...that is if we're on the same page.'

‘We are. I told you I’m on your side. I don’t think what Jongup did was right. I will defend him when I know he’s right but when he’s wrong, I will not stand by him. He knows that but yes I would love to have dinner with you tonight and talk.’

Jia read the text and nodded to herself. 'Okay. Come by my place in an hour.' She texted back and headed to her car and drove home to get a head start on dinner.

Yongguk went home to go shower and change before he got back in his car and drove over to Jia’s house. When he pulled into her driveway, he got out and went up to her front door before knocking.

Jia was just about done making dinner when Yonnguk knocked on the door. She put the noodles in the pot before heading to the door to let him in. "Hey" she said and gave him quick hug before letting him inside. "Dinner is almost ready. Just make yourself comfortable." She said and led him to the kitchen.

He nodded before following behind her. He was still so tired even though he slept so good in her bed last night. It was so soft and comfortable. It felt like sleeping on a cloud compared to her couch. That felt like a bed of rocks. You couldn’t get comfortable on that thing. He would be willing to buy her a new couch or give her his and get a new one because that couch was horrible.

Jia grabbed a beer from the fridge and offered it to Yongguk. "I wanna say sorry about the note from this morning. I know that we didnt do anything. I was more mad at myself for being vulnerable after knowing the truth to why Jongup cheated on me. But I do appreciate that you were there for me and kept me safe when I was drunk." She said and then hugged him

He hugged her back, ‘I don’t take advantage of people Jia. I wouldn’t anybody to do that to me and I don’t want to do that to people period. Plus I’m your friend, if you need me, I will always be there for you no matter what.’

"I appreciate that a lot." She said and then brought up her head to look at him. Jia saw that his eyes were looking at her lips. She stood up on the tips of her toes and pressed her lips to his.

His eyes went a bit wide when she kissed him. He broke the kiss, ‘no it’s not you but you kissed me. I don’t kiss just anybody Jia. I kiss people I like and I like you. Do you like me?’

Jia nodded silently but moved away from him to finish making dinner. She didnt want to embarrass herself again. She did like Yongguk, but she thought he wanted her to kiss him with the way his eyes kept going back to her lips.

He took her arm and pulled her back before she could get far into another kiss. Fuck it, he thought. He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her even closer to his body as he deepened the kiss.

Jia eyes closed as Yongguk kissed her. She draped her arms around his neck, pressing her body closer to his. She couldn't believe that she was kissing her ex's best friend, but she knew that Yongguk wasnt like Jongup.

He broke the kiss when he smelled a burning smell then a few moments later loud beep started, ‘uh Jia I think the food is burning,’ he told her.

Jia pulled away quickly and went to the stove. She turned all the burners off and moved the pots off the stove before fanning the smoke detector until it stopped beeping. Thankfully the food didnt burn. It was just the pot was just was empty and was sitting on the stove. She was to boiled water but forgot to add it to the pot. "The food is safe. I just forgot to put water into the pot so it just got too hot."
