"The movie was wonderful," Savannah was quick to speak even as the credits began to roll. She turned toward him and smiled brightly, leaning up to kiss Jason's cheek. She squeezed his hand gently, only moving to stand when Jason had. She leaned against his side, quiet as Jason started to speak. The tone of voice he used was enough to send fear shooting through her, despite how eager Jason's friends seemed. She doubted they realized it but with the way Jason's arm didn't leave her waist, it was enough to tell Savannah something was wrong.
Her breath caught in the back of her throat as Ben was all too eager to jump in. Lifting her gaze long enough to look at Jason, even as Gal and Ben encouraged them to join them, Savannah wasn't sure what she was supposed to do. She just knew that whatever was going on in his thoughts, Savannah didn't want to make it any worse.
"What do you think?" Savannah asked, brushing her hand against Jason's arm in a weak attempt to help calm him down. Her smile grew a bit because she remembered all too well that she had to play the part of an excited woman. Someone who was happy to be by Jason's side instead of completely and utterly terrified of so much as breathing in the wrong direction.
Whatever Jason decided on, Savannah was all too eager to agree with. She was pressed against him as they started toward their car to head to wherever Jason had decided on. It wasn't until the door closed on the vehicle that Savannah smile fell, dread filling every fibre of her being. "J-Jason.. is.. is everything.. okay?"
