Matthew smiled when got the news that he could offer the job of K.A.R.D’s make up and hair styling gig to his girlfriend Jaelyn. He immediately pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed her number, waiting for her to pick up. When she did, he rushed out that whole thing in a sentence without a breath, ‘hey Jaelynn. I miss you. How are you? Oh yeah you remember how I told you our make up artist and hair stylist left. Well I asked the groups manager and he said we could hire you. Would you like to come to Seoul to take that job?’

Jia was on her lunch break when she got a call from her boyfriend, Matthew, who was in South Korea. She thought it was weird that he was calling her at this time, knowing that they talked when she got off work, but she answered it. "Hello?" She spoke and then Matthew immediately rambled out a bunch of words.

"Woah, babe. Breathe." She said and let out a soft laugh. "Okay repeat that one more time, but slower and more coherent." She teased.

He blushed and smiled, ‘sorry. You know our make up artist and hair stylist Hani quit to go marry her girlfriend Somi. Well I asked my manager if you could fill the spot and he said you could. Would you want to come to Seoul and take the job? Also I miss you and love you. Sorry for bothering you during work, I just excited and I love you.’

Jaelynn bit her bottom lip nervously. It was a lot for her to just pack up her things and move to the other side of earth to live in Seoul. She had been wanting to quit her job and find another place that would value her talent and overall appreciate her, plus she would be able to see her boyfriend all the time now. However, her life was here in California. She would be leaving the one place she has ever known and leaving her family behind. "That's so sweet of you to look out for me, but this is a big decision for me to make. It's a lot for me to think about in a short moment. Besides I'm at work and I dont want then suspect anything. But I love you and miss you too, my love. I gotta go though. My break is over. But I'll call you when I get off and we can discuss this more." She said softly, playing with the ring he got her for her birthday, on her finger. "I love you Matthew and I miss you so much."

‘I love you so much more baby. I’m sorry for unloading that on you while you were working and no pressure on the answer. We don’t need a replacement for another week,’ he told her before telling her he loved her one more time and to have a good rest of her shift before he hung up the phone and went back into the practice room to rejoin his group.

After her call ended with Matthew, Jaelynn went back to finish the last four hours of her shift, which was hell due to the nasty clients she had to work on, plus her coworkers were trying their hardest to piss her off by talking about her boyfriend and how she didnt deserve him, but she ignored them until it was time for her to leave.

A few hours later, Jaelynn was now in her apartment that her and Matthew used to share before he left to go to Korea. She was in the living room eating her takeout dinner while watching TV, before her phone rang. She saw it was Matthew and smiled. "Hey, I hope it's not too late over where you are." She said, talking about the time difference between them. "I miss you so much Matthew."

‘Well it is kind of late but not to late for you baby. So how was work? I hope your co workers weren’t talking shit again and your clients weren’t being nasty but if they were screw them and don’t listen to a word they say and that is in no way supposed to influence your decision about the job offer. That’s just because I love you so very much and that will never change.’

"They were, but you know I usually ignore them. I always tell myself that they are jealous of what we have." Jaelynn said and smiled as she held a small picture frame with a photo of Matthew holding her with them both laughing. It was her favorite photo of them. "I want to take the job as the new hairstylist and makeup artist, but where am I going to live? I'm sure that the agency is not going to let me stay in the dorm with you and your group mates. Will I be on a super tight schedule? Because I want to have some time off every now and then to visit my family here. If course taking this job means i get to spend every day with you, and I miss that, even if I'm pretty much working for you."

‘You’ll be staying with the girls of the group. They won’t let you stay with me and J.Seph but they have assigned you to live with them. Their super nice and friendly. Don’t worry they will help you with anything you need and so will I and J.Seph. No you won’t be on a super tight schedule since we’re not touring right now but once we do, then you will be. Well get to spend a lot of time together. I can’t wait to see you Jaelynn. I’m so excited. I miss you so much. I love you.’

Jaelynn laughed, "I havent even said yes yet." She teased. But she thought about it more and she was ready to move on from her current job and travel around the world, and she would get that if she took up on the new job. Sure she would miss her family and friends, but this opportunity was a once in a life time thing. "Okay, okay. I'll take the job. I guess I gotta start packing soon? Jaelynn smiled, hearing the excitement in her boyfriends voice.

Matthew pulled the phone away from his ear and said yes really loudly without hitting mute. When he put the phone back to his ear, he smiled, ‘yes. You should start now. I don’t think I can wait a week to see you. I haven’t seen you in months and I want to kiss you, hold you and talk to you so bad.’

Jaelynn smiled as she heard the excitement in his voice. It was one of the things she loved about him. "Dont worry you'll get to do a lot of that when I'm there. Hopefully the agency will let you fly down to help me pack, but if not. I'll get it all done."

‘Hold on....manager can I go get my girlfriend. I’ll be back in a few days...thanks...yes I can come down and help you pack Jaelynn. I’ll be there tomorrow,’ he smiled wide as he grabbed his keys and walked out of the form he shared with J.Seph to go to the airport.

Jaelynn blushed, although she knew he couldn't see. "I didn't expect you to go ask right away. But I'm glad they are letting you fly down here. I can't wait to see you, If I'm not home by the time you land, come to my job. Love you!" She said and then the phone call ended. Jaelynn smiled and did a little happy dance. She was excited about her new job and moving to Korea, but more importantly she would be able to see her boyfriend tomorrow and everyday at her new job.

Matthew drove his car to the airport before going inside and buying a ticket to Jaelynn. When they called for his flight, he got up and walked on, sitting in his seat in the middle. He couldn’t wait to see her. He hasn’t seen her in such a long tome and not he will get to talk to her and kiss her, hug her and hold her.

Jaelynn woke up the next morning and began to get ready for work. She was extremely excited to see her boyfriend once he lands. She wasnt going to beat work by the time he arrives, but she told him to come over to her job so they could go to lunch together. She also told him to get some rest at her apartment before coming over, knowing that he would be feeling the jet lag and he already had a key to her apartment.

When he landed, he got off the plane when allowed and got a taxi to Jaelynn’s apartment where he slept for a few hours before he left and went to her job. When he got there, he walked in and looked around for her. When he saw her, he walked over, ‘Jaelynn.’

Jaelynn had finished cleaning up her station after her previous customer when she heard her name. She looked up and saw it was her boyfriend, she put the broom and dust pan down before squealing as she ran to hug Matthew. "You're really here. I missed you so much Matthew." She squealed in happiness as she kissed him.

He kissed her back before spinning her around, ‘I can’t believe I’m really holding you, kissing you, hearing your voice that’s not a phone call or video chat. I missed you so much baby,’ he told her once they broke the kiss.
