    Mooni

"Wow, Mom's going to kill you," Taehyung peered at Mooni's new tattoo with wide eyes; just a simplified portrait of her small kitty Luna right on her bicep, on display for the world to see. "Then dad's going to have a heart attack, and there goes half of the family." Despite his predictions, he continued to examine the fresh piece of art, which was among many that she'd been hiding from her parents. It wasn't as if she weren't an adult; nearing her University graduation, she'd earned the right to express herself, but didn't want to piss off the conservative parents she shared with her brother Taehyung. "Looks cool, though."

"Perhaps now they'll get off your ass about pursuing acting instead of something-"

"Secure," they mocked their mother in unison, laughing directly after. Mooni and Taehyung had always had a very close knit relationship, having been born only a year apart and growing up together. Taehyung was the older of the two, and always made sure he looked after Mooni. Lately, he'd been doing a lot to try and include her on his plans, considering how much she'd being holing herself up in her room to study for her upcoming finals.

"I'm going out drinking with some of the guys tonight. You should come, get a break from that prison," he gave her a wide and boxy grin.

"My room is not a prison," she muttered, even though she couldn't wait until the day she could retire from that room and upgrade to her own apartment out of her parent's house, "but fine, I'll come."
    Jimin

"You can't wear that!" Jin nearly screeched as Jimin opened the door for his hyung. Unamused, Jimin looked down at his ensemble; over-sized t-shirt, sweats, and splayed hair.

"I haven't even showered yet," Jimin grumbled, stepping aside for the older man to walk in and kick off his shoes. He had been exceptionally early, and perhaps even over-dressed for a night out at one of the local bars. It was just a couple of them drinking, likely with a female to male ration of 1 to every 30. Even after he'd showered, his outfit probably wouldn't be too much of an upgrade. At least he'd smell better.

"When was the last time you did shower?" Jin questioned skeptically, as if he were scared of the answer. Working from home, Jimin spent a lot of time in front of his computer set up, coding as fast as his small fingers would allow him. The best part of his job was it didn't require a lot of leaving his flat, so he had to think about his answer. "Never mind, I don't want to know. Please go, use all of the soap you own." Jin was now pushing Jimin towards his small bathroom with force.

"I hope you know I'm missing out on precious sleep just to go out with you guys," Jimin lectured as he was forced into the small space, the door closed behind him. Ah, sleep, one of the only other activities he managed to do with his 'busy' schedule.

"You're starting to sound like Yoongi. Wash. Now."

    Jungkook

Jungkook had just gotten home from the gym, giving him enough time to shower and get ready before he headed over to Taehyung's to play some video games before they went out later that night. This was usually what his schedule consisted of: going to the gym, playing video games, hanging out with his friends, and then using what little free time he had left to do his homework. He was going to school for film, something he'd always loved and been passionate about since he was younger. He loved to film things, and create his own little movies or music videos. A lot of the time, he even asked his friends if he could film them. He decided against bringing his camera with him today, though, because he just wanted to chill and spend time with his friends.

He walked inside, dropping his bag with his gym equipment by the front door as he kicked his shoes off, ignoring his mom's call to clean his mess up as he rushed up the stairs to go shower. His mom was probably tired of him leaving his things around, and he knew he should be more considerate, but after all, he was still a kid at heart. He grabbed a towel and quickly showered, making sure he scrubbed well and washed all the sweat and grease from his hair. When he was done, he stepped out of the shower and began drying off, looking at himself in the mirror. He was unable to help it as the thought of Mooni crossed his mind, wondering if she would be joining them for the night. He hated to admit it, but sometimes he hung out with Taehyung just to see his sister. She was pretty, but Jungkook was too much of a wimp to say anything to her. He thought she was out of his league anyways. And she certainly didn't have feelings for him, that much was true.

He dressed himself and sprayed on a bit of cologne before grabbing his phone and his wallet. He headed downstairs, hoping to make it out of the front door before his mom caught him, but he couldn't be so lucky. He sighed heavily, picking his things up and taking them to his room before he rushed out the front door. The ride to Taehyung's wasn't that long, so he was there within 10 minutes, walking up to the front door and knocking on it.
    Mina

Mina sighed as she finished hanging up the final picture for her new apartment that she was sharing with her sister. They'd just moved in about two weeks ago, and unpacking had been going a lot slower than expected. She was the type of person that liked to get things done so she wouldn't have to worry about them later, whereas her sister was the exact opposite. The situation wasn't ideal, she would rather be living by herself, but she couldn't afford the rent on her own. She'd just moved back to town after being gone for seven years, and she'd just started her new job, so money wasn't coming so easy. She walked over to the empty box sitting on her bed, folding the flaps in and carrying it into the living room to put with the rest of the empty boxes. Her sister was sitting on the couch, her eyes glued to her phone. "Who are you talking to?" she asked curiously.

"Nobody important," Lia said, putting her phone down. She looked up at Mina, grinning. "Wanna go out tonight?"

"I don't know, Lia, I'm kind of tired," Mina mumbled, pushing her hair out of her face.

"Oh, come on. You rarely go out. You need to have some fun. Live while you're young," Lia insisted.

Mina sighed. Usually, she wouldn't give in so easily, but her sister was right, she hadn't gone out in a while and maybe taking a small break wouldn't hurt. "Alright, fine. I'll go."

"Great! I'm leaving in an hour, so go put on something sexy. You might find your future husband."

Mina rolled her eyes playfully before she wandered back to her room to find something nice to wear.

    Mooni

"I'm going to grab a shower," Mooni finally decided after sitting around and watching Taehyung play video games. Since the moment he'd gotten his own apartment, Mooni had been envious that he was able to get away from their overbearing parents, while she was still stuck there. He'd been clear about not wanting a roommate, but she had managed to stake her claim there anyways by stealthily bringing stuff over and putting it away in the guest room. The closet was full of her clothes, the vanity held many of her personal items and toiletries; she could basically stay here for two weeks straight without needing to go back home and get anything.

"Thank god," Taehyung groaned, "You smell, I just wasn't sure how to tell you." As Mooni walked towards the bathroom, she flipped off her older brother, ignoring the knocks at the front door. Of course, complaints emanated from Taehyung as he had to abandon his console to answer it. As exhausted as she was, she loved hanging out with Taehyung's friends, especially when they all went out drinking. They were funny, and not too hard on the eyes. She'd always been careful to maintain boundaries with all of them, and Taehyung had been adamant himself that none of them hit on her, but she couldn't help how her heart raced when she thought about him.

    Jungkook.

There wasn't a time she had known him where she didn't have some form of taboo feelings for him, but she'd always been either too embarrassed about them, or just didn't want her brother to know. After all, Jungkook was Taehyung's best friend, and that entire situation would be weird. At least for Mooni, it would.

Her shower was short, but the strong smell of body odor was gone, replaced by the subtle scent of vanilla. The only issue was...she'd forgotten to bring a clean set of clothes into the bathroom with her, leaving her with just a towel and her dirty laundry, and a clear view of the bathroom door from the living room. It would be fine, she thought to herself, she could sneak across the hall as Taehyung was too involved in a heated game of Overwatch to see her, not that he would want to look anyways. Not wanting to sit around in the steamy room, she took a chance and tiptoed across the carpet to the safety of the guest room.
    Jimin

"You should probably burn those clothes you had on," Jin suggested as Jimin emerged from the bathroom, his old clothes in his hands.

"I'll burn you if you don't shut up," Jimin warned playfully, in a better mood now that he'd finally gotten cleaned up. As annoying as his friends could be sometimes, he was really glad they came around and reminded him to take care of himself. He never made enough time for it, but he was extremely grateful that Jin had came over and commanded him around.

"I see you're feeling better," Jin smiled brightly, "So what do you say? We invite Namjoon and Yoongi over and pre-game a little bit? The lightweights always leave early and we end up sober at the end of the night." Jin suggested, which didn't sound like a bad idea to Jimin. Some of their alcohol tolerance levels - specifically Taehyung's - just wasn't that high. So while some of them were already drunk, that left Jimin and Jin sitting around, painfully sober.

"I have whiskey in the cabinet," Jimin declared, "Namjoon always brings bourbon. It could make for a pretty good pre-game." Overall, Jimin just wanted to have fun tonight. He never went out looking to hit on chicks, not that they were necessarily going out of their way to hit on him. He enjoyed the company of his boys, but really wanted it to be worth it.

"I'm glad you think so, because they're already on the way," Jin winked, causing Jimin to roll his eyes. "Oh, by the way, Lia is coming out tonight as well."

It had been a long time since Jimin had seen Lia, and even longer since he'd seen - or talked to - her sister Mina. Just about seven years, in fact. At one point, Jimin would have even considered her his best friend, until she'd abandoned them without a word. Ditched town without a goodbye.

Yet he still couldn't help but miss his childhood friend.

    Jungkook

Jungkook grinned when Taehyung answered the front door, pulling his friend in for a bro hug. When he pulled away, he followed Taehyung into the living room. He sat down on the couch in front of the TV, where the game that Taehyung had been previously playing was paused. “Do you want anything to drink?” Taehyung asked.

Jungkook nodded his head. “Yeah, maybe water,” he said. “And some chips? I haven’t eaten all day.”

Taehyung nodded and left Jungkook in the living room to go to the kitchen. Jungkook grabbed the controller from the coffee table, looking at the TV as he unpaused the game and continued playing where Taehyung had left off. He sucked his bottom lip between his teeth as he focused on the game, only breaking his eyes away from the screen when he heard a door open down the hall. He stared down the hallway, his eyes widening slightly when he saw who he assumed was Mooni, sneaking out of the bathroom and across the hall, only wearing a towel. He’d been so distracted by the sound that he’d gotten Taehyung’s character in the game killed.

“Aw man, Kookie, what the hell,” Taehyung groaned, setting the chips and the water down before snatching the controller from Jungkook’s hands. “Do you know how long it took me to get to that point?”

Jungkook blinked and looked up at his friend, who was giving him a sour look. “O-oh, sorry,” he finally stammered after a moment of awkward silence. “I looked away for a minute.”
    Mina

Mina shuffled through the dresses hanging in her closet, growing frustrated when she couldn’t find a dress that felt good enough. She’d been wearing the same clothes for what felt like an eternity now. She honestly couldn’t remember the last time she’d gone clothes shopping. She wanted to look good tonight. Maybe she secretly did want to meet a man. Who knew what would happen? She sighed before going through her dresses again, getting to the last one. It was a dress from a few years ago, one she’d worn to a dinner party that she had gone to when she was in school. She pulled it off the hanger, eyeing it over. The dress was one of her favorites, so she decided to try it on. It was a little tight and a bit shorter than she remembered, probably because she’d grown a bit since she’d last worn it. She looked at herself in the mirror, feeling sexy for once.

    This was the dress.

She turned on her curling iron and began doing her hair, thinking about all the things she’d missed while she’d been away. It was strange being back in her hometown now that she’d been gone for so long. But maybe this was what she needed to be happy again. Maybe she should try to contact some of her old friends, see if they wanted to meet and catch up. Or maybe she should just stick to her new life and not dwell on the past. She put the curling iron down and ran her fingers through the ringlets, shaking her head. She needed to stop worrying about everything and just be. There was one person in particular, though, that she just couldn’t get out of her head. And that was Park Jimin. Although, he probably hated her now for not saying goodbye before she left. She’d just been too afraid to.

    Mooni

Huffing as she filtered through her limited closet supply, Mooni was critical of every article of clothing she'd brought here. Yet, she still managed to put together a cute outfit. It wasn't that she particularly hated anything she had here, but it was mostly the clothes she didn't wear often, and could manage being separated with while she still lived at home with her parents. Though, she wasn't sure why she left these clothes here; probably by accident after a night of drinking with her brother. Although he was adamant about not wanting roommates, that never stopped her from crashing here as much as possible. Either way, she would at least be comfortable for their night out.

Deciding to let her nearly black hair air dry into it's natural wavy formation, she applied quick makeup; just enough high coverage foundation and concealer to make it at least look like she'd had a good night's sleep, though she hadn't had one of those since grade school. Happy with her look, she hung up her wet towel and emerged from the guest room to find that Taehyung was no longer alone. Jungkook had usurped his controller, Taehyung obvious annoyed and tense, likely worried that Jungkook would fuck up his game.

With a stupid yelp, Mooni abandoned her spot at the end of the hallway, which gave a clear view into the occupied living room and found refuge in the concealed kitchen. She hadn't prepared to see Jungkook, and wondered how long he'd even been here. Perhaps he was the one banging on the door earlier. To this day, Jungkook was still the only boy that could make her weak at the knees, and watching him grow into a man definitely didn't help how she was feeling. She always felt inadequate around him; what business did she have liking him anyways? She didn't stand a chance. On top of all of that, he was Taehyung's best friend. Please read as: off limits.

She took this time to scour the kitchen for something to eat. If she had any chance of surviving tonight without getting drunk first, she needed to fill her belly and calm down her stupid heart rate before she was able to join her brother and Jungkook. Maybe by then she could even learn how to grow the hell up.
    Jimin

"Just try it," Namjoon pressured Jin as he held a glass half full of bourbon to Jin's nose. Jin, whose nose was scrunched up in disgust, turned his face away as he tightly shut his eyes.

"He's a wimp," Yoongi joked as he took a long sip from his own glass.

"I'm not. Just a man of habit," Jin defended himself, "and I never saw the appeal in bourbon. It tastes like jet fuel and it smells like one hundred percent rubbing alcohol."

"How do you know what jet fuel tests like?" Jimin questioned as he eyed their oldest friend skeptically.

"There's no such thing as one hundred percent rubbing alcohol," Namjoon took a moment to educate the oldest, "it only goes up to ninety-nine."

"Thank you, Einstein, for that science lesson," Jin shoved the glass that Namjoon held to his face away, clear that he didn't want it, yet completely ignoring Jimin's question.

Since Jin had brought up that Lia would be hanging out with them tonight, he couldn't get this weird feeling to go away, as if his past were about to start creeping up behind him. What exactly was he expecting? It wasn't as if Mina would emerge from her long hiatus. He'd felt like she cut them all off, so she surely wouldn't show back up after all this time.

"How many times do you think Moon and Jungkook will look at each other with those puppy dog eyes tonight?" Yoongi questioned jokingly, taking another long sip of his liquor.

"They're so clueless," Namjoon laughed, taking a moment to look over at Jimin, "You're awfully quiet. Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, all's good," Jimin promised, holding his drink up to back up his words.

"You need to get laid," Jin stated bluntly.

    Jungkook

Taehyung plopped down on the couch beside Jungkook with a huff, trying to see if he could somehow save his progress, but of course, the last checkpoint was so far behind where he had been.

Jungkook smiled sheepishly at Taehyung, reaching into the bag of chips to stuff his mouth full so he wouldn’t have to say anything to make the situation even worse than it already was. He knew if the roles were reversed, he’d be just as upset at Tae as Tae was at him at the moment. His ears perked when he heard what sounded like a high-pitched squeak, his brows furrowing in confusion. He could only assume the noise had come from Mooni, seeing as Taehyung didn’t have any animals in the house. He glanced up at his friend before looking at the kitchen door. He wish he had the guts to get up and go talk to her, to act all calm and cool, and be the guy he wanted to be. But he knew as soon as he laid eyes on her, his words would get stuck in his throat and any sound that came out would sound like he was struggling to breathe. God, why couldn’t he be cool like Jimin or Namjoon?

He sighed softly and looked down, continuing to eat his chips while Taehyung played his game. He stared at the TV screen blankly for what felt like an eternity before the empty thoughts in his mind were broken by the sound of Taehyung’s phone ringing. Jungkook watched as Taehyung paused the game and grabbed his phone, answering it. He watched the other boy as he responded to whoever was on the other line before finally hanging up. “Hobi is on his way,” Taehyung said after stuffing his phone into his pocket. He set the controller down before standing up from the couch. “Moon!” he called out. “Are you ready?”

Jungkook’s eyes lit up. “Your sister is coming?” he asked, almost a bit too excitedly, and he had to quickly clear his throat and pretend to act cool and uninterested. He didn’t want Taehyung getting any ideas.
    Mina

“Mina, hurry up!” Lia shouted from the living room. She was pacing back and forth impatiently, waiting for her sister to come out so they could leave.

“Hold on, I’m almost done!” Mina called back to her, quickly touching up her makeup. She gave herself one last look-over in the mirror before she grabbed her bag and walked out. “I’m coming, I’m coming.” She looked at the time on her phone, her brows furrowing. “Why are you rushing me, we still have 20 minutes before you said we have to be there.”

“I decided we’re leaving early,” Lia said with a shrug of her shoulders. “I’m going to see Jin, so we can ride with him.”

    “Seokjin?” Mina questioned. “Lia-”

“And Jimin will probably be there too,” Lia interjected, a small smirk on her face. “I bet he misses you.”

Mina felt her heart sink to the pit of her stomach, heat rising to her cheeks as she stood there uncomfortably. “Why didn’t you tell me we were meeting them?” she mumbled.

“Because you would have said no. You can’t back out now. It’s too late. Come on,” Lia insisted, grabbing Mina’s arm and dragging her to the front door.

Mina wanted nothing more than plant her feet on the ground and stop her sister from dragging her out of the house, but she’d always been a bit of a pushover, and this was no exception. She almost had tears in her eyes at the thought of seeing Jimin again, someone she cared about so much in past years, but also at the fact that she’d have to face him after seven years. And she wasn’t prepared. She got into her sister’s car, buckling her seatbelt and staring aimlessly out of the window as she tried to collect herself.

    Mooni

"Moon! Are you ready?" Taehyung called out as Mooni took another shot of leftover Soju that had been sitting out on her brother's counter. The funny thing was...Taehyung didn't even like the taste of alcohol, so she knew this bottle didn't belong to him, but probably to somebody else. Maybe even her. She wondered why he forced himself to go out and drink so often when he wasn't fond of how the drinks burned his throat.

Initially, she'd been ready to go since the moment she left the guest room, but knowing Jungkook was out there...just another shot of Soju and she'd be good to go. Sure that she didn't come off as liking her brother's best friend, she always maintained some form of arrogance around him. Not that she truly felt she was too good for him, but not wanting to pass a hard set boundary just by the way their relationship was set up. If she lingered in the kitchen to avoid him, though, it would be obvious that something was off, so she used the reflection of the microwave door to do a final check before walking out to the living room.

"Ready as I'll ever be," she grumbled, acting as if she were indifferent about the current company, or their plans for the night. That's when she finally decided to acknowledge Jungkook's presence, burying the excitement she truly felt, "Hey Jungkook." She wanted to say so much more; to ask him how he was doing, how work was going, what workout he'd done at the gym, and just be able to stare at him and admire his features. Instead, she sat down on the other side of Taehyung in order to keep her distance. Being near him absolutely raised goosebumps all over her body.

She should be use to the facade by now, but she couldn't help the feeling in her stomach.
    Jimin

"So what do you guys think of that serial killer on the loose?" Namjoon asked as the guys walked to the two cars they'd be taking. Jin had mentioned they'd be picking somebody up, but wasn't forthcoming with much information to the point where Jimin was nearly suspicious.

"Why do you have to bring up something so depressing?" Yoongi grumbled ironically. Usually, he'd be the one to ask dark questions, or say dark things that made Jimin want to hug him, scared of his state of mind.

"You mean St. Bangtan?" Jin asked, obviously spooked. Jimin had read about St. Bangtan, a current and notorious serial killer in Seoul, that had staged his killings like suicides. Female victims were constantly found in their bathtubs with the wrists slit, leaving them soaking in red-tinted water.

"That mother fucker is sick," Jimin muttered.

"Because he's going to kill every woman before you can get laid?" Jin asked without missing a beat. Jimin shot him a smug look, not too pleased with his comment. Jimin would have no problem getting laid if that was his priority, but it wasn't. He had submerged himself in work and solitude so much that, at the end of the day, it just wasn't. "Just wait until you see some of the women that will be at the club tonight." Jin winked, raising Jimin's suspicions even more.

"Club? I thought we were just going to the bar?" Jimin questioned, Yoongi quickly agreeing. Everybody knew Yoongi was not about the club life.

"Oh," Jim pursed his lips, "Surprise, I guess."

"I hope you're not talking about Taehyung's sister," Namjoon warned. It was an unspoken promise that none of them would hit on their friends sister, Moon. Not that Jimin had any of those feelings towards her, anyways.

    "Not at all."

    Jungkook

“Oh, hi Mooni,” Jungkook greeted, offering her a small smile. He nearly got lost in her eyes, unable to help himself. He quickly diverted his attention when he realized he’d been staring for a bit too long, looking in the complete opposite direction. Luckily, though, Taehyung was too busy texting Hoseok on his phone to notice Jungkook’s staring.

When he finished sending his text, Taehyung looked up at his sister, his head tilting to the side. “Mooni-ah, isn’t that top a little… revealing?” he questioned, glancing at the lace trim that showed just a bit too much skin for his liking.

Jungkook ears perked when he heard what Taehyung had said, quickly glancing over at Mooni and only just realizing what top she was wearing. While he personally didn’t think it was revealing at all, he could understand where his hyung was coming from and if he had a younger sister, he would probably feel the same way. It didn’t show off too much skin, but it was just enough that it would definitely catch the eyes of some men.

“Jungkook!” Taehyung hissed as he looked over at his friend, realizing where the younger boy’s eyes were glued to.

Jungkook blinked, his eyes widening like a deer caught in the headlights. “Ah, sorry, sorry!” He quickly looked away, his cheeks flushing as he stood up off the couch. He felt extremely awkward, being caught staring at his best friend’s sister’s chest. Oh god, what would she think? He didn’t mean to stare, he was just thinking about what Taehyung had said, and he got lost in his thoughts.
    Mina

The ride to Jin’s felt excruciatingly long for Mina, even though it wasn’t long at all. She hadn’t seen any of these guys in years, and she knew they probably all disliked her at this point. She was feeling the anxiety of seeing them again. She was honestly annoyed that her sister had kept this little fact from her before they left; otherwise, she probably wouldn’t have gone. She felt her stomach drop when the car came to a stop at the curb, not getting out right away as her sister had. It took her a moment to build up the courage to get out of the car, looking up at the building and realizing they weren’t at a house, but an apartment complex. Her brows furrowed as she glanced over at her sister, who smiled sheepishly at her yet again. “Did I forget to mention Jin was at Jimin’s?” she said.

Mina groaned in frustration, really wishing she could just hit her sister in that moment. Why did she feel like a teenager in high school all over again? Why was she nervous to see Jimin? Why were butterflies swarming inside of her stomach, nearly forceful enough to make her puke? She followed her sister into the building and up a flight of stairs until they were walking down a hallway full of different numbered doors. They stopped at one numbered 211, and Lia reached up to buzz the doorbell.

Mina stood behind her sister, staring down at the ground and fully expecting Jimin to be standing there as the door creaked open. She was surprised, though, when Yoongi’s voice filled her ears. She lifted her head to look over Lia’s shoulder, glancing at bleach-blonde-dyed man who stood there, looking right back at the two of them. “Lia,” he said, his eyes shifting over her shoulder to Mina. “And Mina. Come in.” He moved aside to let the two in, and Mina shyly followed her sister inside, staying close behind her. She followed Lia into the living room, her breath hitching in her throat when her eyes landed directly on Jimin, surprised at just how much he’d matured in the years she’d been gone.

    Mooni

"Taehyungie," Mooni looked up from her phone; the moment her older brother began to lecture her on what she was wearing, she zoned out and started scrolling through Instagram, "stop yelling at Kookie." She furrowed her eyebrows as she looked over at Taehyung, warning him to lay off. Jungkook was the youngest out of all the guys, and subsequently the target of all the jokes and teasing. Truth be told, sometimes it bothered her. Even though Taehyung hadn't exactly yelled at him, it felt like an automatic response, leading Mooni to hoping it wouldn't be like this all night.

"Sorry," Taehyung apologized halfheartedly as he pursed his lips, clearly annoyed with Mooni's protectiveness over his friend. She wasn't sure why, but every time she was around these two boys at the same time, it was always so tense. Taehyung was always watching Jungkook like a hawk, and Jungkook was seemingly tip-toeing on pins and needles around the older boy. Comparatively, seeing Jungkook without Taehyung around was like being around a completely different person; care free and so very funny. Seeing him like that for the first time was when she knew she had some type of feelings for him. Continuing to see that as they both grew up only solidified those feelings, but she was too chicken shit to say anything, or god forbid do anything, about them.

Knocking at the front door interrupted the tension with almost perfect timing, and Mooni was the first one to hop off of the couch and abandon what nearly became a dick measuring contest. "I'll get it," she croaked, fleeing the scene in a hurry without looking back. She knew it would be Hoseok at the door even before she opened it to see his heart shaped smile.

"Hey, Moon," Hoseok pulled her into a quick hug, "are you guys ready to head out?"

"Yeah, Taehyung and Jungkook are inside," she explained, stepping to the side and allowing him to enter the apartment.

"Both of them alone with you? Oh, boy."
    Jimin

The moment Lia walked into Jimin's apartment with Mina in tow, his first reaction was to throw back his hard liquor, letting it burn his throat. The feeling of the alcohol warming up his insides, almost scorching him like a fire, was nothing compared to the foreboding requirement to talk to his long lost friend. To be clear, Jimin didn't hate Mina, but he had been deeply hurt by her decision to disappear at the drop of a dime. A long time ago, she had been his confidant, his best friend, and when she left he felt as if he never even mattered to her. With her being gone, he never had to deal with his feelings about her leaving. Therefor, he was never faced with forgiving her actions.

At the end of the day, Jimin knew that the moment they sat down together and talked about what happened, forgiveness would come as easy as breathing. But would they ever be able to truly rekindle the friendship they had before? Would he ever be able to trust that she would just up and leave? Perhaps she wasn't even here for good, and in a couple of days she'd disappear back into the hole she'd dug for herself so many years ago.

"Aren't you going to go talk to her?" Namjoon urged, filling up Jimin's glass again, knowing he needed it.

"Ask me again when my blood alcohol content goes up a few percentages," Jimin grumbled as he threw back his newly filled drink, ignoring Namjoon's wide, perplexed eyes.

"Okay," Namjoon clapped his hands together, getting everybody's attention, "Let's head out before some of us slip into an alcohol poisoning induced coma."

    Jungkook

Jungkook couldn’t have been any happier when he heard knocking at the door, taking that as his cue to leave the living room. When he saw Mooni inviting Hoseok in, he walked over. “Maybe we should just go ahead and go?” he asked. “I mean, we don’t want to keep everyone waiting.” He just wanted to get out of here before things with Taehyung got even worse. The two were like brothers attached at the hip until Mooni was around. Then it was like Taehyung forgot the rest of the world and turned into Mooni’s bodyguard, even towards his friends. It made Jungkook wonder if something had ever happened that made him the way he was about his sister.

Hoseok glanced between Mooni and Jungkook before chuckling. “Awkward already?” he questioned, shooting a teasing smirk in Jungkook’s direction. “Fine. We can go. I’m sure they won’t be there before us, though. You know they like to have a pre-game before the real party starts.”

Jungkook knew Hoseok was right, and he honestly didn’t know how all of his hyungs could hold in their liquor so much. He and Taehyung, on the other hand, were awful at holding their liquor. Or handling it, at least. Jungkook could definitely hold his liquor, but handling being drunk was another thing. Sometimes he got angry, sometimes he got clingy, and other times he would get completely wild and lose all his senses. He was definitely a bit unpredictable when it came to getting wasted, which was why he tried not to drink too often. Especially around the people he cared about. He never wanted to make an ass out of himself in front of Mooni. He’d never be able to get over that one.

    “Taehyung-ah, let’s go,” Hoseok said.

Jungkook slipped past Mooni and Hoseok, walking outside to catch a breath of fresh air before they left.
    Mina

Mina rolled her eyes when Lia immediately attached herself to Jin at the hip, leaving her standing there awkwardly by herself. Until Namjoon spoke up, announcing their departure. She followed everyone out of the apartment, glancing back over her shoulder to catch a glimpse of Jimin as he locked the door behind everyone. While she was definitely anxious about seeing him again, she felt the urge to go start a conversation. She wanted to know how he was, how things were for him, all the fun adventures he’d had while she had been gone. But she was sure their first words to each other wouldn’t be about fun things. Maybe she should wait until they had a moment alone, instead of making awkward conversation in front of everyone else. She turned her head and continued walking, following everyone out to the parking lot.

“There’s no way we’re all going to fit in one car,” Namjoon spoke up after a moment.

“That’s okay, I can sit in Jin’s lap,” Lia said, trying to hide her smirk from the rest of the boys.

Mina wanted to vomit at how forward and gross her sister was being. She always pegged Jin for the classier type of women, but maybe he saw something in Lia that she didn’t. Of course she loved her sister, but sometimes she was just a hot mess.

“Well, I guess I’ll drive us then,” Yoongi stated as he climbed into the driver seat of the car they were taking.

“Shotgun!” Namjoon chirped, grinning as he quickly rushed to the passenger side.

Mina sighed, knowing she’d have to sit in the back with Jimin and her messy sister, and she just prayed to god that she and Jin kept all the PDA to a minimum. She honestly couldn’t believe her sister never told her that she was seeing him. Maybe so she wouldn’t have to bring up Jimin in the conversation.

    Mooni

At Hoseok's mention of the other half of the group's tendency to pregame, Mooni slowly began to feel the secret shots of Soju she'd taken in the kitchen not too long ago. Just like her brother, she wasn't great at holding her liquor, knowing she became easily attached to the first person that showed any interest in her. That was why she liked to go out with Taehyung and all of his friends; she had protection from any assholes that tried to get anything out of her, and she could have fun in peace.

Mooni watched with intent as Jungkook slipped past her, as if he couldn't get out of there fast enough. That had been one of the many reason's she'd kept her feelings so concealed; he simply had no interest in her. That was fine, she couldn't make him see her the way she saw him, but it definitely kept her in check.

After turning his game off, Taehyung was quickly in tow, making sure to lock the door behind them all. "Are you sure you don't want to grab an Uber, Hobi?" Taehyung asked with concern, "If you want to drink, that's fine, but we just need to have a plan. I can even be DD if you want, that way I can make sure everybody is safe." For a moment, Taehyung stared directly at Mooni, as if she'd do anything to raise concern.

"Yeah but I like you better when you're drunk," Mooni proclaimed with slight frustration, disliking how overbearing her brother could be sometimes. Still, she understood why he was; she always hung around him and his friends - all guys - and if he was paranoid about them being around her, that was almost understandable. "Shotgun, though."
    Jimin

Jimin's jaw dropped at Lia's boldness. Also, was Jin getting laid? There was no way; being humble was not a skill that man possessed, and Jimin would have already heard about it. That meant one thing; this girl was clingier than glade cling wrap. He could only imagine how worse it would get when alcohol was involved.

At this point, the driving arrangements seemed so difficult that Jimin nearly decided to just stay home. He could get drunk enough here, and not even have to worry about what would happen in the car or at the bar. Even with those thoughts in mind, he still followed the group helplessly to the parking lot, where they all climbed into the car like fucking clowns. Jimin was sure to usher Jin into the middle seat; if anything freaky started happening, at least he could start pushing them in Mina's direction. Nothing personal, just self preservation.

As he buckled himself in, he had accidentally made eye contact with Mina, and immediately pursed his lips. He didn't know how to act around her anymore, and knew that later in the night, he would probably feel like a bull in a china shop. Would he get hammered and say something stupid? By now, Yoongi had already started driving, meaning it was too late for Jimin to cancel. He was driving far too fast for a simple tuck and roll.

Perhaps before all of the drinks tonight, he could just talk to her so they could at least stop being so fucking awkward.

    Jungkook

“Uh, I’ll drive us home,” Jungkook offered, raising his hand awkwardly. He knew Hoseok would probably want to drink, and maybe he’d only have one or two drinks so that he could stay sober enough to drive them home. God only knows what he’d do if he got drunk anyway. The last thing he needed was to wake up in someone’s bed and find out he’d done something horrible. It was kind of sad, but he’d only ever been with one girl before, and it had been the most awkward experience of his life. He didn’t know why, but there was just something about the opposite sex that turned him into a walking ball of anxiety and shyness.

He climbed into the backseat with Taehyung, hoping the other boy wouldn’t hold the earlier events of the night against him. He’d already embarrassed him enough in front of Mooni, hopefully he could just let it go. He couldn’t help the smile that formed on his face as Hoseok turned the radio up, chuckling when he began singing along to the song.

Hoseok glanced at Taehyung and Jungkook in the rearview mirror and smirked, hoping to ease the tension and lighten the mood. It seemed to work, though, when Taehyung began to sing along to the song too, as if he’d almost forgotten everything on his mind.

Jungkook piped in too, singing along with his friends. The tension between him and Taehyung broke easily after that, and they were laughing and messing around the entire car ride to the club. Jungkook was glad, though, because there was nothing he hated more than having awkwardness between himself and his friends. When they arrived at the club, he climbed out of the car and followed Hoseok, staying to the back. He could be the leader when he needed to be, but in these types of situations, he preferred to stay in the back and let his hyungs handle things.
    Mina

Mina nearly had herself pressed up against the door in order to avoid being so close to Lia and Jin. She rolled her eyes when her sister began giggling in the most annoying high-pitched tone possible, glancing over just in time to catch Jimin’s gaze. She stared at him for a moment before blinking and quickly looking away again. She swore, if Lia wasn’t her sister, she would have been one of the girls she hated in high school. As fast as Yoongi was driving, they couldn’t get to the club quickly enough. As soon as they arrived and the car was no longer moving, Mina jumped out of the backseat, glad she didn’t have to be around Lia and Jin’s incessant giggling and flirting anymore. Lia must really have a hold on him, because she couldn’t remember him ever being like this before.

She walked inside the club behind Yoongi and Namjoon, immediately heading to the bar to grab a drink. She figured maybe once she got a bit of liquid courage in her, she could finally go start up a conversation with Jimin. That is, if he even wanted to talk to her. She ordered herself a drink and pulled at the bottom of her dress, making sure her thighs were adequately covered before she sat on a stool. The music was loud and the lights were pretty low, so she wanted to keep herself as protected as possible from any wandering hands. Maybe she should have just worn pants. That probably would have been the smart thing to do.

She picked up her drink and took a sip, glancing over her shoulder to see that Lia had dragged Jin out to dance almost immediately. She then looked back and grinned when she saw Taehyung, Jungkook, Hoseok and Mooni enter the club. Finally, another girl she could confide in that wouldn’t judge her every decision.

    Mooni

Almost immediately after walking into the club, Mooni found Jin dancing in the middle of the dance floor with a girl she thought she recognized, but the memory didn't quite surface. That was the kind of fun she wanted to experience on nights like these, but any of the guys who gave her attention were all hopeless, irritating, or disgusting. If she were being honest with herself, he heart had already been set on somebody, meaning every other guy who approached her wouldn't mean a damn. Eventually, she'd have to get over that feeling and move on.

"I'll be at the bar," Mooni grumbled just loud enough so her brother could hear her. She didn't bother looking at Jungkook, knowing he'd probably head off somewhere on his own. Hoseok would try to find all of the guys just to catch up and see how they were doing. Mooni, however, just wanted to get drunk. "Rum and coke," she ordered, ready to officially kick off the night, "Captain Morgan Spiced Rum. Keep the tab open." When the drink was placed in front of her, she handed the bartender her card and ID, quickly starting to sip before she noticed the girl next to her.

Now she looked familiar, and Mooni knew exactly how she recognized her. Immediately after, she knew who the girl Jin was dancing with was, and it all came together.

"Mina?" It didn't quite make sense - after she disappeared, nobody talked about her. Now, she was back, and everything was back to normal? Mooni had never been too close to Mina, so she never took any offense to her abrupt absence, but was glad to see another woman around. Perhaps she wouldn't have to sit here alone all night, after all, watching Jungkook having fun from afar without her, after all.
    Jimin

"When did you guys get here?" Hoseok asked as he joined Jimin and Yoongi at a booth, who were waiting for their round of drinks. Jimin had no interest in going out on the dance floor, and decided to huddle up with the most anti-social one of the group and just drink.

"Not too long before you," Jimin answered as his eyes were set on the bar. He'd watched intently as Mina sat by herself, making sure nobody came up and bothered her. However, Mooni eventually joined her, allowing him to have a surprising sigh of relief. Why did he care? Most importantly, why didn't he just go talk to her when she was sitting there alone? At the end of the day, at least she wouldn't be lonely. Perhaps some stupid girl talk would even help ease her into the night.

At this point, Jimin felt almost obsessive over the idea of talking to her. There was just so much he had to clear up with her - but he knew it would be unhealthy to think about this all night, and it would be a waste of some potential fun. Here he was, with his boys, all of them finally able to make their way out to have fun. He couldn't take this moment for granted. His time with Mina would come eventually, but for now, he focused on the multitude of drinks that had finally arrived at his table, allowing the three men to put a few more back.

    Jungkook

Jungkook followed Taehyung, who found his way to Namjoon, who was talking to two pretty girls. Namjoon always found his way to girls, no matter where he was. It was like he was a magnet. He felt awkward standing there while they talked, not speaking to the girls himself. What would he even say? ‘Hi, you’re pretty and all but I’m not really interested in you?’ Yeah, he was sure that would go over well. He wandered off before Namjoon could drag him into the conversation, spotting Jimin, Yoongi and Hoseok at a booth across the club. He made his way across the dance floor, avoiding being groped by flailing arms and hands. He slid into the booth beside Hoseok, across from Jimin, greeting them. When a woman came by and asked if he wanted a drink he shook his head and mumbled a small “thank you” before he settled into his seat. He probably wouldn’t be moving from that spot for a while unless Hoseok wanted out. It wasn’t like he had anyone to dance with anyway.

“So, this is fun, huh?” he joked awkwardly, chuckling. It seemed like a few of them had been dragged out against their will, like Jimin, Yoongi and himself, because the others wanted to have fun and be inclusive.

“Define fun,” Yoongi said, swirling his drink in the glass.

“You guys just need to let loose,” Hoseok said. “Pull the sticks out of your asses.”

Jungkook snorted, biting his lip to hold back his laugh at the look Yoongi shot Hoseok.
    Mina

Mina smiled at Mooni, the most genuine smile she’d had since she returned home. “Hey,” she greeted. She could tell by the look on the other girl’s face that she was confused by seeing her. “I just got back in town. I got a new job here, and I moved in with my sister.” She glanced out onto the dance floor, shaking her head before looking back at Mooni. She’d definitely grown into her features, and had turned out to be a very beautiful young woman. “I saw you come in with Jungkook, are you two finally dating?” she asked.

Even when they were younger, it had been obvious that Mooni and Jungkook were close and were just destined to be together. They were like two puzzle pieces that just fit together, although it was as if there was a wall between them because neither of them realized the feelings they shared for one another. It was kind of sad actually, Mina thought, to be so close to someone yet so far away at the same time. Kind of how she felt with Jimin tonight. Although, they had never shared any romantic feelings towards each other. Everything had been strictly platonic. Or had it?

Mina could remember a time or two when she’d felt attracted to Jimin, but had never brought it up in fear of ruining their friendship. And besides, she was pretty sure she was out of his league anyways. He always had girls swooning over him, and Mina was just… Mina. She wasn’t anything special. Either way, it didn’t matter at this point. They weren’t even friends anymore, and the chance of them ever having a friendship like they did back in the day was slim to none. Her first order of business was getting him to forgive her, and she was sure that wouldn’t be so easy.

    Mooni

A coughing fit erupted from Mooni as she choked on her drink, making a complete fool of herself, simultaneously making a scene. The last thing she wanted was to attract any attention, but her and Jungkook finally dating? It sounded almost like something had been going on that Mooni was clueless to; but that wasn't the case at all. "I also came in with Taehyung and Hoseok. We all rode together," she clarified, letting a few smaller coughs loose to eject the leftover drink from her lungs.

Desperately, she felt the need to deflect, so she turned the attention back onto Mina, "Where did you go? I've always wondered, I just wasn't sure how to reach out," she admitted sheepishly. She didn't want to tell the girl that because they weren't close, she just hadn't cared that much, but now it felt like she was Mooni's only friend tonight. She spotted her brother talking to some random women with Namjoon, who would literally stick it in anything if he got drunk enough, and Hoseok sitting with some of the other guys, including Jungkook. "Did you at least stay in touch with Jimin?"

They looked to be having just about as much fun as she was having. Perhaps her and Mina could go join them and all wallow in self pity.

Or not, maybe she could find a way to have fun with Mina, and not allow the night to be wasted.
    Jimin

"I want to assure you at this very second," Jimin said pointedly at Hoseok, "There has never been, and will never be, a stick in my ass." Hoseok's heart shaped smile only grew larger as Jimin spilled a little of his drink as he brought it to his mouth.

"I see the pregame worked," his hyung mentioned simply.

"Holy shit," Yoongi chimed from beside Jimin, more gleeful than Jimin had seen him in the longest time, "Holy shit it did work! I'm finally drunk before you pussies and you're not even drinking. I'm- I'm offended."

    "You're drunk," Hoseok clarified.

"I just said that, Hobi," Yoongi pointed at Hoseok before grabbing another drink from the center of the table.

"I guess he's not driving us home," Jimin mumbled, taking another sloppy sip from his own glass. Glancing back over at the girls, Jimin saw Mooni dying, a smile growing on his face. "Mooni is dying, apparently."

    Jungkook

Jungkook followed Jimin’s line of sight to where Mooni was sitting at the bar with another woman. He didn’t recognize her from the distance he was sitting at, figuring it was just a girl Mooni had met. He was curious, though, what conversation they were having that made Mooni have such a reaction. He wanted to go over there and ask, to get in on the joke. He just wanted to be a part of everything Taehyung’s sister did. He just wanted her. He shook the thoughts from his head, wishing he could order a drink after all, but since he already promised to drive, he was upset that he couldn’t.

He caught Namjoon in the corner of his eye, hand in hand with a girl, who he was pulling towards the back of the club, where the restrooms were. He laughed, shaking his head. “Already? Namjoon hyung doesn’t mess around,” he said. He should have guessed that the reason they all wanted to come out was to have sex, but honestly the thought hadn’t crossed his mind until now. He didn’t want to think about any of them having sex. The thought made him cringe. He felt lame that he’d only had sex one time and all his friends were constantly getting laid, but he didn’t want to have sex with just anyone. It didn’t feel right to him. Not that he wanted to have sex with Mooni. Well, he did, but that wasn’t all he wanted her for.

“Why don’t you go talk to her?” Hoseok spoke up, already knowing the thoughts that were in Jungkook’s head.

    “What?” Jungkook questioned. “Who?”

Yoongi rolled his eyes. “You’re so oblivious, it’s annoying,” he grumbled.
    Mina

Mina’s eyes widened when Mooni choked on her drink, surprised at how quickly she had changed the subject. Maybe it was something she didn’t want to talk about. Maybe the situation had changed entirely since Mina had left. “My parents went behind my back when they found out that I could get a scholarship into some fancy school across the water,” she said. “They dragged me out in the middle of the school year and sent me there. It all happened so fast, and I didn’t know how to say goodbye to everyone. It hurt too much.” She took a swig of her drink, clearing her throat. “I decided not to come back for college because it was just easier to stay away from everything I left behind. But when they transferred me here for a job, I didn’t really have a choice.”

She glanced across the bar at the booth where the boys were sitting, looking at Jimin. “No, I didn’t keep in touch,” she mumbled after a moment of silence. She looked back at Mooni, sighing softly. “I wish I had. Life sucks when you have no friends and all you live for is school.” She put the rest of her drink back quicker than she’d like, needing to not be thinking about how miserable her life had been for the last seven years. She ordered another drink and nearly chugged it, knowing she would probably regret this in the morning. She finished her second drink and stood up, smiling at Mooni. “Do you want to dance? I know you’re not having fun just sitting here talking.”

She needed to get her mind off things and talking about it wasn’t going to help. She needed a distraction, and dancing sounded like a damn good one. Even if her feet would hurt later from the heels she was wearing.

    Mooni

"Dance?" Mooni's eyes widened at the thought; flopping around on the dance floor with absolutely zero coordination, to the point where it should actually be criminal. On the other hand, would it be any worse than sitting around in her pity party? "I can do that, just give me a second." Hastily, Mooni ordered two more drinks, extra rum with no ice, before chugging them. She came out tonight to get drunk, and she wasn't going to waste valuable bar time.

"Let's go," Mooni ushered, making a pit stop at the booth where most of the guys sat to drop off her small purse and sweater. Dancing in such a crowded place would sure become very heated, very quick, and she didn't want to be roasting in her clothes. Reaching over Jungkook, she placed her belongings next to Hoseok, who she probably trusted most with them. During her maneuver, she'd gotten a huge whiff of Jungkook's cologne, causing goosebumps to raise on her skin. She submerged her thoughts, only to focus on putting her stuff away. Either way, between Hoseok and Jungkook, her items would be safe. "I'll be on the dance floor with, um, Mina?"

The effect of the alcohol was already starting to take over, and she felt more fun and fabulous than anything else. By now, she'd be able to go out on the dance floor and have a good time without being wary of making a fool out of herself. Grabbing Mina's hand shamelessly, she pulled her into the dense crowd, letting out calls of excitement as she became more and more drunk.
    Jimin

Jimin couldn't take his eyes off Mina when Mooni had dragged her over to their booth, even though it was just momentary. He certainly hadn't spent a lot of time viewing her in that sort of light when they were younger, but she'd matured so much since then. Of course, this was just the alcohol talking. The amount of liquor coursing through his body right now was enough to put him to sleep, yet here he was, shooting the shit with his friends.

"I saw you," Taehyung accused as he slid into the booth next to Jimin, eyeing Jungkook suspiciously, "Looking at Mooni with your...eyes."

"Nothing new there," Yoongi joked once he took a sip.

"But are we not going to talk about Jimin's jaw dropping to the floor when Mina was over here? Because I'd like to talk about that," Hoseok pointed out without hesitation.

"Are you trying to mop the floor with these little scruffies?" Yoongi teased as he tickled underneath Jimin's chin, immediately being pushed away afterwards.

"I'm a clean shaven man," Jimin protested, "and I wasn't gawking over Mina, I just think her and Mooni are very unlikely friends." Jimin had become great at deflection as of late, especially situations like now where all he wanted to do was have a good time instead of getting teased about girls as if he were in grade school. "Just let Taehyung lecture Jungkook." As the words left his mouth, he couldn't help but glance out towards the dance floor, seeing Mina dance around with Mooni.

He admired the way her hips moved, her toned legs visible from under her short skirt. Even the look on her fact made Jimin feel some type of way. He had to remind himself that it was just the alcohol.

    Jungkook

Jungkook nearly lost his shit when Mooni leaned across him to get to Hoseok, his heart pounding in his chest and his breath hitching in his throat. Damn, he was so whipped for her. He clammed up when Taehyung came over and accused him of staring, quickly shaking his head in denial. “No, no,” he said. “I wasn’t looking. I swear.” He frowned when Hoseok burst out in laughter beside him, taking pleasure in his misfortune. He glared at his hyung, wishing that someone here would back him up, but apparently it was Jungkook against the world. He didn’t even know why he tried to defend himself anymore, they all just laughed at him anyway. That’s okay, he’d get them back somehow. He’d always been a bit of a prankster.

He quickly decided to change the subject to something they could all agree on. “Are we not going to talk about how Jin is letting Lia walk all over him like a carpet?” he questioned.

“Yeah, what’s up with that?” Hoseok asked. “I didn’t know that was a thing.”

“It’s gross is what it is,” Yoongi said just as a belch escaped his throat.

“Yeah, that’s what’s gross,” Taehyung said with a snort.

Jungkook glanced over at Jimin, who’d been oddly quiet for the last few minutes, noticing him staring off at the dance floor. He followed his gaze, watching as Mooni and Mina danced with each other. He couldn’t take his eyes off of Mooni, watching as she moved in time to the music. She was just so perfect. Everything about her was perfect.
    Mina

Mina laughed softly as Mooni started letting loose, dancing along to the music with her. She finally felt somewhat happy, in that moment, for the first time in what felt like forever. She was finally able to forget all the negative shit and just let go, and enjoy herself. She closed her eyes and tilted her head back, swaying her hips in time with the music and reaching up to pull her hair away from her face. It was hot as hell in here, and she’d wished she’d brought something to put her hair up with. She was beginning to feel the effects of the alcohol taking over her body. She was the type of person that got tipsy just from one drink, no matter how much she drank. She didn’t know why, but she guessed it was just the way her body was.

She glanced over Mooni’s shoulder, seeing both Jungkook and Jimin staring. She wasn’t sure what Jimin was staring at, but she was most certain that Jungkook was staring at Mooni. She leaned in to Mooni’s ear so the other girl could hear her better. “The boys are staring,” she said, gently taking Mooni’s wrist in her hand and spinning her around so the other girl could see that the boys were looking. “Want to give them a show?” She normally wasn’t like this, suggesting such things. It was totally out of her comfort zone, as she was normally very reserved. But fuck it, she wanted to have a good time. It was time to throw caution to the wind and let go. What was the worst that could happen?

She honestly just wanted to see the look on Jungkook’s face if Mooni agreed to do it.
