Luke smiled at Liana as she shook his hand, and her hand seemed to be the perfect size to hold his, as if they were made for each other, and he couldn't help but to appreciate the moment a little more than he would with anyone else. "Well, Liana Noble, it's lovely to meet you." Luke saw the smirk that danced onto her lips though, and Luke almost - almost - smirked in return, but reminded himself that he had to remain professional, just for now. "Well, if I can do anything to make this class your favourite, Liana, let me know." Luke winked, pulling away from her, suddenly chastising himself for winking at a student, but damn it, she was giving him signals that he was unsure if he should follow or not. Biting his lip, Luke stood at the teachers desk, and he wondered if she'd enjoy the lessons he had in store. As other students began to filter in, Luke cleared his throat. "Alright guys, it's an easy one today." Luke laughed as they chattered, a new teacher had always been exciting, he supposed. "Just draw me something that shows off your talent. I don't know you like your old teacher, so I wanna see what's going on in your minds."
Melody offered her new teacher a smile as she tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, his voice melodic to the point where Melody would consider it her favourite sound in the world. "Well, Mr Clifford, it's nice to meet you." She greeted happily, taking his hand with a gentle hold, taking note of how she was certain a jolt of electricity ran up her arm just by touching him. "I'm Melody Hartman, my friends just call me Mel, though." She grinned, biting her lip as she studied him, and she wondered what he was like outside of school hours. "Are you permanent here, or is the witch coming back?" Melody pulled a face then, not wanting to seem rude, but standing by her statement. Miss Lewis was a damn witch, and she'd had it out for Melody - but Melody could admit to herself that she was at peace with this handsome man in the classroom.
Ashton smiled as he heard the girl's name - Rosalin. He'd never known a Rosalin before, but he was certain, with beauty that breathtaking, the name was only made for her. It suited her more than he could ever tell, and he wondered if she wore it with pride - she certainly deserved to. As she placed his hand in his, Ashton offered a gentle shake. "It's lovely to meet you, Rosalin, believe me." Pulling away slowly, almost reluctantly, Ashton noticed when Rosalin ducked her head and quickly decided to steer the subject away from first impressions: he didn't want to scare her. "Well..." Ashton grinned. "I made you guys some cupcakes and I had two spare." He laughed, then. "Actually, my best friend, who's a Home Economics teacher now, made 'em. Would you like one before everyone else gets here?" Heading into the closet, Ashton grabbed the lunchbox that contained the sweet treats, and he exhaled a nervous breath, hoping he was coming off as approachable and not weird. Heading out of the closet as he recomposed himself, he sat by his desk, gaze softening as he studied Rosalin once more. "Here," he smiled. "Take one."
Finley laughed as the handsome man with golden skin and kind eyes that crinkled at the corners when he smiled rubbed at the back of his neck. "The school definitely doesn't allow that kind of language, but I trust you to not tattle on me." She offered a cheeky wink then, wanting to hear his laugh again, wanting to egg him on, wanting to see him happy. Of course the first boy Finley was to take an interest in would be a bloody teacher. "Oh, definitely." Finley nodded with his words. "Us girls are sick of seeing women teaching these sort of subjects, so seeing your face is a relief." Finley offered a genuine smile then, dropping her act for a long moment, because Mr Hood, as he'd introduced himself, seemed to be kind enough for Finley not to worry about keeping up a facade. Accepting his hand to shake, Finley's eyes met Calum's, and she smiled softly. "It's really great to meet you too, sir." She promised, admiring the tattoos on his hands.
Harry's dimpled smile only broadened when the beauty introduced herself as Alesia, and he gently treaded over to where she sat - delighted to see she was quite close to the front, offering her his hand. "Alesia, I promise, as your teacher, I will help the best I can all throughout this next year." Harry offered a smile that he hoped was reassuring. "History can be difficult, there's so much to remember. Don't be embarrassed." He kept his voice gentle, soft, wanting her to feel comfortable with him; proud of how quickly her admission had happened. "If you need, we can set up some one to one lessons, we'll see how you get on today, okay? Don't fret." And Harry gently squeezed her shoulder, wanting her to know he was serious. "You know," Harry sat on the desk in front of Alesia, admiring her with a gentle gaze, although having to remember to reign himself in every so often, not wanting to seem creepy, or to scare her off all together. "I failed History three times in high school." He chuckled, wanting to do anything to see her smile; and what better way than to admit his own embarrassing moment?
Ruby folded her arms over her chest with curiosity as the handsome man made his way over, and Ruby could easily spot how blue his eyes were, almost shockingly so. "Well, Coach Tomlinson," Ruby offered a sweet smile, stretching so she could prepare herself for the lesson to come, wishing she'd chosen jog pants instead of shorts to defeat the chill in the air; but as he extended his hand, Ruby smiled, gently taking his hand, offering a kind shake. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Ruby, and I'll be taking this class, yes." She smiled. "And I guess, being the Coach, you'll see me during cheer practice, too." Ruby, reluctantly, dropped his hand, trying to ignore how good Coach Tomlinson's skin against hers made her feel. Biting her lip with the thought, Ruby ducked her head, clearing her throat. "So, what's the lesson, teach?" She asked, peering back up, trying to push her thoughts from her mind, studying him.
