The most terrifying thing that Aelia had ever witnessed was when she watched from a small window as Earth was destroyed. Aliens had come to earth and started to kill people randomly. Only pausing in their effort to scan then with some sort of thing and deciding if they were worth it to keep alive or not. Aelia was one of a select few who were kept alive. At first, she was locked in a cage with all of the other humans from Earth. Then, she was pulled out of the large cage, stripped and shoved into a small cage all by herself.

It must have been days before the ship that Aelia and the other humans were on landed. The sound of the stomping boots of alien soldiers made it clear that they were on the move. As it had been quiet the past couple of days. One of the aliens came into the quiet room that Aelia was in and looked at her blankly. He walked towards her cage and simply stuck his hand through the bars. Shoving a needle into her arm, causing her to faint.

The next time, Aelia woke up. She was in a slightly larger cage. About five feet, by five feet. The floor of the cage was soft and squishy like memory foam. The bars were thicker, maybe an inch thick, but she could still see out of the room. Allowing her to see into the room. The walls were a light cream color, and she could make out things like a dresser, which looked like a dog food bowl on the table. It was weird. Looking around her cage more, Lia saw that there were pillows all along the back of the cage and two of the four sides were part of the wall as the cage was in the corner of the room.

"Where am I?" She mumbled quietly, at the same time the door to the room opened up. "Study's show general, that omega humans from Earth enjoy closed spaces. They supposedly make them feel more secure." Some guy said as he followed after a greying haired man. "She also had a vet appointment to get her needed shots before you take her out into the city tomorrow. The doctor should arrive around noon, Sir." Lia blinked her eyes in confusion as she looked at the men. Then she blushed slightly as she realized that she was naked in front of them and quickly covered herself.

Serin tilted his head to the side, his curiosity peaked when he stepped into Aelia's room. She was awake which was definitely a good thing but that didn't stop him from wondering just how difficult she was going to be. Omegas came in all different shapes, sizes, and attitudes. Some behaved better than others. He cleaned his throat, looking up when his assistant started to speak. He held his arms behind him, listening to the man intently. "She is in good health though?" Serin inquired, taking another step toward Aelia. His smile grew as he looked over her form. "Leave us. Make sure that a meal is prepared and brought up here," he added after a moment of thought.

The man bowed slightly before he did as he was told, retreating out of the room. He shut the door behind him and it was only then that Serin's attention turned back to Aelia. He moved toward the cage, emitting a low purr as he undid the lock on the cage. He pushed it all the way open, his smile grew as he knelt down slowly.

Serin held out a hand, offering it to Aelia. "Hello, darling," his voice was gentle as he spoke. "Can you tell me your name? I'm Serin," he spoke, not wanting to scare Aelia if he didn't have to. He knew of stories where the alpha was not the least bit forgiving of their omega and their omega's fear and that wasn't what Serin wanted to do with her. The thought broke his heart. With Aelia looking at him the way she was, she seemed completely confused and afraid. He never wanted her to feel like that with him.

"You're in my home. But you're safe and I'm never going to let anything happen to you. I give you my word."

Shifting her gaze between the two men, Aelia did her best to wrap her head around what was going on. They were talking about her like she wasn't even in the room with them. Like she was below them, or something. The thought of being treated like an object caused Aelia's lips to move into a frown. She was a living being, she had rights just like them. She felt things as well!
When the greying haired man turned towards her, Aelia's breath hitched and her whole body froze. She didn't even realize that the assistant had left. Her only focus was on the man in front of her as she heard a strange sound emitting from him. The sound relaxing Aelia beyond belief. Her tensed shoulders sagged slightly as the man came closer to her and undid her cage's door.

Her bright green eyes glanced towards the man's hand when he extended it to her, and then looked towards his face as he spoke."Aelia." She said quietly, then for some reason. Aelia moved to get on her hands and knees and started to slowly crawl towards Serin. She wanted to get closer to that sound that he was emitting. It was drawing her toward him. Then, she sat back on her knees, forgetting that she was practically bare before him and slowly placed a hand into his much larger one.

Serin was relieved when Aelia offered up her name and started moving closer to him without too much arguing. He had been afraid that he would end up with a misbehaved omega who wasn't willing to accept what her body was going through but it seemed that she was open to what was happening. He thought that was important because now he had the chance to teach her and help her to grow into the position that was so easily laid out for her.

"That's it, my sweet 'mega," Serin praised as Aelia took his hand. He squeezed hers gently before he moved back, dropping down against the wall beside the cage's door. He pulled Aelia onto his lap, brushing his fingers through her hair as he began to pur even louder. It wasn't something that he did often but just seeing the effect that it had on her reminded him why it was so important.

"Do you know what an omega is?" Serin asked, knowing full well that a lot of the omegas that arrived to his planet had no idea what they were. Or what alphas were - or how any of it even worked. Or why they were so important.

The words that Serin was speaking didn't really make any sense to Aelia as she moved towards him. Her body following his lead as he pulled her down onto his lap. One of her legs on each side of his. Her bright green eyes widened as she looked up at him in shock, but, she couldn't react. At least, not in the way that she wanted to react.

When Serin started to purr louder, Aelia found herself leaning forward. Resting against his chest as she pressed her ear to his chest. Listening to the intensity of his purr as it vibrated from his strong chest. Her whole body seemed to relax as she listened to the sound. Almost like it was a lullaby or something.

"Hm?" Aelia mumbled quietly as she glanced up at Serin. Her whole body relaxed to listen to the strange man that she was on top of. "No?" She mumbled quietly, her bright green eyes looking away from the man's dark eyes and towards the other side of the room. Trying to make sense of what the room was supposed to before. Why she was in it and also wondering why she felt so relaxed being naked on top of a complete stranger.

"It's okay that you're relaxing. You're supposed to, darling. You're an omega and I'm an alpha," Serin explained in a low voice. He continued to run his fingers through her hair, gentle as he did. He held her just as close, not ready to give up this intimacy quite yet. They were never going to have another first meeting where he had the chance to hold her for the first time. He knew that this was an important time, it was either going to be a make it or break it sort of situation. This would set the path for what was to come between them. Either a harsh and unforgiving relationship or something that was told in fairytales.

"You are an omega. Which from what has been explained to me, was extremely rare on your planet. There was only a handful of you brought back," Serin began, his purr resuming whenever he stopped speaking for more than a few moments. "You are so important to our race because without you, we would not survive."

Serin was quiet, letting her digest the information that he had just told her. "You will start to adjust to being near an alpha. You will relax when I purr and in due time, you will begin to go into heat. It is what you will expect but you need to be with me. I will be the only one that will be able to help you through that. The first few heats will be the worse but I promise you that I will be here with you. I won't leave your side through that, at all," Serin promised in a low voice, squeezing her in an attempt to reassure her.

As Serin explained to her what an omega was, Aelia could feel herself filling with questions. Like, why were omega's needed? What classified him as alpha and her an omega? Why weren't more humans omega's? And more importantly, why was he talking about heat? Like, Aelia wasn't an idiot. She'd had her period before. Isn't heat just a different term for period or something?

"Hmm," Aelia mumbled quietly as she thought about what Serin was talking about. Her eyes closing as he squeezed her. The action causing her to relax more against him. As all of this new information really wasn't that important. Not to mention his scent was intoxicating. Like eucalyptus leaves and spearmint mixed together. Calming, relaxing. Aelia wanted to just role up in his shirt and relax.

"Why do I feel so relaxed?" Aelia finally managed to ask, her voice quiet as she fought to have her lips move to make words. "I should be screaming my head off, but I can't." She sounded like she was confiding in a friend as she spoke and that fact alone caused Aelia to feel uneasy.

It took all of Aelia's strength to push away from Serin's comfortable chest. Her hands resting on his broad shoulder. Her bright green eyes looked into his dark ones, and then quickly adverted to his chest. The thought that her bare chest was out for him to see didn't even cross Aelia's mind as she thought of what else to say to him. "Why are you considered an alpha? What even is an alpha?"

"You feel relaxed because you're around me. I am capable of purring, it helps omegas calm down by forcing them to release seratonin. They know that they are safe when they are with alphas, typically. They have nothing to fear," Serin explained lowly. He thought it was odd that she was being so open about asking questions but he certainly wasn't about to start telling her she was bad for doing it. In fact, he was proud of her.

He smiled, his hands resting gently on Aelia's sides now. He continued to brush his thumbs over her skin to help her feel more at ease with him. Serin had no intention of laying with her. At least not quite yet, until he knew that Aelia trusted him fully. He wanted her to submit to him and invite him into her nest for the first time. He didn't want it to be a traumatic experience, by any stretch of the imagination.

"An alpha is kind of like a secondary sex. You have males and females but then there are omegas and alphas. Omegas carry the young and are submissive to their alpha. Alphas provide and keep their omegas safe. A lot of things are going to be new to you in the coming weeks but I will be with you every step of the way. I am an alpha so I can't claim to know how to make a decent nest but I will try my hardest to provide for you and do everything that I can to make you happy, okay?"

The frown that was on Aelia's lips slowly deepened. So, she was being forced to relax then? He was manipulating her? Stupid, why hadn't she realized that from the start? "So you're forcing me to relax?" Aelia said quietly, voicing her thoughts. A small sense of dread slowly started to fill Lia. She should be screaming and fighting. Trying to find a way to get away from this complete stranger. Not, sitting on him completely freaking naked and having a normal conversation with him.

At the explanation, Aelia couldn't help but blink in even more confusion. Everything that Serin was saying just added up to more questions. "Next?" She mumbled quietly, her head tilting to the side. What did he mean by nests? Birds make nests, not people, so why would he bring them up?

A knock on the door jostled Aelia's thoughts and she turned her head to look towards the door. A small gasp escaping from her lips as the trance seemed to break when her attention wasn't on Serin. She was freaking naked, sitting on an older man's lap and to top it off. There was someone at the door to the room. "I-I need clothes." She blurted out, looking terrified at Serien and then moving to get off of his lap.

Serin's shoulders sagged when Aelia spoke again. He winced at the word 'forcing' because he could already see where this was going. She was here because his people had conquered hers but that didn't mean he was going to hurt her. He had no intention to hurt her but he could sense her fear spiking. His purring grew louder as she started to stress out, a slight frown forming on her features. "I'm just trying to help you, darling. I know you're scared and you don't really understand what's going on. That's why I'm trying to help you keep calm," Serin attempted to explain to her. "There's no other reason. I swear it."

The knock at the door seemed to shock Aelia out of her calmed state. His grip tightened on her waist so that she wasn't able to stand. Serin couldn't help but let out a chuckle at her demand, nodding his head as he moved to stand, careful not to drop her. "Of course. Can't have anyone seeing you in your current state, can I?" Serin was quick to tug off his shirt, hoping that his scent would help to continue calming her as he moved to answer the door.

Serin took the tray of food, kicking the door shut with his foot before he moved toward her. "Here we go. You can eat as much as you want but I want you to eat at least a bit, okay?" He spoke gently as he set the tray on the small corner table in the far corner. "I'll eat with you, okay?"

A sense of unease seemed to flow through Aelia as she listened to Serin. From the way that he spoke to her, to the fact that he held onto her, holding her to him so that she couldn't stand. At least, not on her own. "Thanks." She mumbled quietly, accepting his shirt and slipping it on. An as soon as it slipped over her nose, Lia got a small smell of either his colone or his body oder and couldn't help but to let out a small sigh. It was the sort of man smell that always seemed to relax her on earth.

Looking towards the door, Lia didn't even get the change to see who was there before Serin had kicked the door closed behind him. Her lips pursing as she glanced at the odd assortment of foods on the tray. "O-okay." She said quietly, feeling like she couldn't really turn him down anyways. Slowly, Lia followed Serin towards the small table in the room and sat down in one of the chairs that were by the table. Her eyes going towards the strange foods that were on the tray.

"What is all of this?" Lia asked quietly, as she looked at the food. Some looked like earth food, other's didn't. Her stomach growled quietly at that moment, and Lia couldn't help but blush a little. When was the last time she ate something?

Serin's face broke into a wide smile when Aelia asked him what everything was in front of them. He looked out over the display and his face scrunched slightly. He wasn't all that sure what all of the foods were because he'd made sure to bring in some of the foods that they had brought back from Earth. He meant to comfort her with it because he could tell just how nervous and afraid she still was, even if she was starting to calm down. The thought that she was, in any way uncomfortable, was making him antsy. It made him feel as if he wasn't doing his job of taking care of his omega.

"I'm not sure what all of this is," Serin paused, pointing to what looked like strips of breaded chicken. He had never seen anything so odd, they didn't have chickens on his planet but he'd seen many of them on Earth while conquering the planet. "Or.. this," he said, his face scrunching as he leaned over to look at what appeared to be shepherd's pie. "But I asked my chef to make a few things that you might feel a bit more keen to try. With time, you will have to start to get used to our food but for now, all i care about is you being comfortable."

Serin reached over, setting his hand on her thigh. He brushed his thumb back and forth, just trying to offer her as much comfort as he possibly could. "Would you like me to feed you or would you like to yourself?" He asked gently, figuring that he could give her the option of how she would eat.

A small hum escaped from Aelia as she listened to Serin. The food did look familiar, but it also had this weirdness about it that she didn't quite recognize. It was from Earth, her home. Yet, it wasn't comforting. Instead, it just felt like a stab at her heart, her memory. Everything that she used to love, is now in ashes and being taken over by these guys who call themselves Alphas or whatever.

So, when Serin placed his hand on her thigh, Aelia couldn't help but draw back from the touch. The effect of his purring disappearing as the sound dissipated from her memory and pain came to her. "I-I'll eat on my own. I'm not that helpless." She told him, not looking up as she reached out and picked up what resembled a fork on Earth and started to eat what was placed in front of her.

Keeping her gaze down on her food, Aelia nibbled on the food in silence. Everything tasted bland. Kinda like sandpaper as it went down her throat. None of the flavors from home were coming out from the food. It was alien food, that was the easiest way to put it. The damn bastards ruined Human comfort food.

Serin's eyes narrowed slightly when Aelia pulled away from him and declared that she didn't need his help. He gritted his teeth, reminding himself that Aelia was just a human omega. She didn't quite understand all of the power that was at play yet. She didn't understand who he was or who she was to him, he mused. Serin would give her until tomorrow before he expected her to start acting properly. He exhaled slowly, trying to remind himself of the decision.

Scenting the air, Serin was on edge almost immediately when he noticed that Aelia was in pain. He sat up straight, shifting until he was closer to her. "Omega," he spoke, his voice gentle as he spoke. "You're in pain. What's wrong? Tell me," Serin demanded, throwing all caution out. He knew that Aelia wasn't comfortable around him yet and that he had just promised himself he would give her the day to relax but now that he realized she was in pain, Serin decided quickly that she needed him. And he would help her, even if Aelia herself didn't want him to help just yet.

Hearing Serin's voice, Aelia glanced up and flinched slightly. She didn't know what to do or say. She wasn't physically ill like he was assuming. How he even knew she was in pain was a mystery to her, but she ran with it. This was a freaking alien planet after all. For all she knew, this man could read her mind if he so chose to. "I-I'm just homesick," Aelia said quietly, her gaze quickly looking down. A reaction that something in her mind told her was the right choice.

Slowly, Aelia licked over her lips. She was so freaking nervous, exhausted, and homesick. She was never go home again. She was stuck here and this man, Serin, kept calling her Omega. She wasn't an omega. She may be terrified of everything, but she wasn't going to just let him push her around. She'd be damned if she just up and allowed for this man to do as he pleased with her.

"I-I don't like being called Omega." She said quietly, glancing back up towards Serin's tough gaze. Then lowering hers once more. Her hands moving to rest nervously in her lap. "I-I rather be called my name. Or, Lia at least."
