A Bond Like No Other [CLOSED]

Adrienne knew that it was getting late when she got off from work. She should have been on her way home an hour ago, but her coworker didn’t come in to let her leave until an hour after his shift was supposed to start. She sighed and continued to walk down the sidewalk and thinking about how she wished for the millionth time that she had a car, but thankful that she didn’t live too far. The hospital she worked at had been nestled up against the outskirts of town, and she liked the quiet of the country. Seeing the little movie rental shop, she decided to stop in and see if there was anything interesting out.

Zacky felt edgy, but then again he always did when it was getting close to a full moon. He glanced over at the rest of his pack who were all around the little store. It had been Matt’s suggestion to go out and get a movie or something, and honestly Zacky was glad to be out of the house. Ever since they came out to this town, Zacky had stayed in for the most part. There wasn’t anything special about it, but the town had the forrest that it was nestled up to, and there had been wolf sightings here regularly. It was the perfect spot for werewolves to hide. The door chimed, and Zacky saw a girl walk in. He turned his attention back to the movie in his hand.

Hearing the doorbell to the store Matt had decided on going to. To rent a couple movies for the pack, so they'd all get the edge off. And quit going stir crazy too. He turned the movie over in his hand reading the back of it, as he smelt a wonderful aroma when the bell chimed a second time. Slowly glancing up he saw a beautiful brunette walk in as he stared at her a second. It was as if fate was telling him something. "Damn." Matt mumbled to himself.

Candace sighed sliding her key card into the clock to clock out at work. Being a ER nurse had it perks, and it's down falls as well. Grabbing her bag and stuff she went to her car and drove the short distance to the rental store. She had promised her baby sister a movie night when she had gotten off work. Rushing into the store she saw one of her co-workers Adrienne and gave her a light wave. Smiling at the young guy behind the counter she rushed over to him. "Hey Jay. You got those My Little Pony movies? Sarah is excited to see that new one." Candace smiled at the guy making small talk with him as he went to get her the movies.

Glancing around she saw five men in the store too and gave them warm smiles. It was just in her nature, to be kind to everyone. Stopping at one who had purplish looking hair, and vibrant green eyes. She felt her breath catch in her throat, as she locked eyes with him. He was gorgeous, sexy, if she had to think it. Blushing a little she turned her attention back to Jay and handed him the money as she waited for her change.

Adrienne glanced around the little store and looked at guy with short dark hair. She couldn’t help the blush that crept up to her face. There was something about him that called her attention. He was gorgeous, and if she was admitting it to herself, he was downright sexy. She pulled her eyes away from him and went to the movies, scanning through the titles. It wasn’t long before she found herself in the horror section like she always did.

Zacky looked at the blonde who was standing at the registers. He felt his heart flutter in his chest. It felt like fate coming for him. He glanced around to his pack thinking that it couldn’t just be him. When he figured it was real, he couldn’t help himself as he made his way over to her, wanting to know her. “I haven’t seen you before,” he said, feeling like he sounded dumb.

Matt stared at the woman again, and saw her in the horror section. Walking over towards her he felt his heart pounding inside of his chest. It was as if fate was talking to him. Gliding over to her he smiled at her, "I haven't seen you before, or I might have missed you or something." Matt stared at her. Thinking to himself, that sounded so dumb.

Glancing at the voice speaking to her, Candace stared at the guy she'd just swoon over. "Oh." Candace said softly. "I don't come in much, just when my little sister wants a movie night." She smiled extending her hand. "I'm Candace, and you are? I haven't seen you at all." She told him softly.

Adrienne looked up and smiled. “It’s actually rare that I stop here. What about you? A regular?” she asked. She was shocked that he was actually talking to her, but she was glad that he was. “I was honestly just feeling like having a movie night. And I’m Adrienne, by the way.” She felt like she was rambling and really trying not too.

Zacky smiled and introduced himself. “Never a movie night for yourself?” he asked out of curiosity. “But I’m sure your sister will enjoy My Little Pony.” He had looked at the disc holder to know what she was getting. “She must think that you are the best sister in the world.” He could help as he looked her over and breathing in her beautiful aroma.

Smiling at her he took and cleared his throat, "I am Matt." He told her smiling softly. "I come here a lot actually, a lot of movie nights with the guys." Matt told her. "I'm not gay either." He told her chuckling. "I feel so stupid." He looked at her.

Candace smiled, "I hope she does." Candace told him smiling. "Hardly ever, between work and raising my younger sister." Candace admitted staring at him.

Adrienne smiled. “I think you’re cute, not stupid,” she said. She could tell that he was probably as nervous as she felt. She never really had that many guys come up to her, and she was always felt too shy to make the first move.

Zacky nodded. He could imagine how busy her life was. “So what to you do?” he asked curiously. He couldn’t help his curiosity when it came to her. His Wolf was liking her.

Grinning a little, Matt stared at her a moment. "Not stupid, huh?" Matt looked at her as he lent into the little wall area beside of them. "Well, thank you." Matt smiled his dimples popping out.

Candace smiled at him, "I'm an ER nurse." She told him smiling softly. "Head of the trauma department actually." She saw the guy come back and smiled handing him the money and waiting for her change. "And yourself?" She questioned.

Adrienne felt the blush creep into her face. She couldn’t believe that she so easily admitted that to him, but it was the truth. Then there were his dimples. They just made him so much more attractive to her. “Yeah, well, I would be able to lie about it,” she said shrugging shoulders.

Zacky could see her as a nurse. “I’m in a band,” he answered. He looked at her wondering what she thought. He was glad that he was in a band with his pack which made explaining why he was almost always with them easy. “I’m one of the guitarist.”

Matt smiled at her, "I see." Matt told her smiling. "So what is it that you do?" Matt questioned kind of curious about her.

"Rhythm huh?" Candace smiled softly at him raising an eyebrow at him as she cleared her throat. Taking her change and movie she smiled softly. "I better be going, the babysitter is set to leave in a little bit." Candace smiled.

Adrienne shrugged. “I’m a surgery scheduler at the hospital down the road, but I’m wanting to be a scrub tech,” she answered, rambling a little bit. “What about you? What do you do?” She couldn’t help her own curiosity about him. She grabbed a couple of movies.

Zacky nodded. “Yeah, rhythm.” He watched as she got her changed. “So will I get to talk to you again?” he asked, unable to miss a chance at getting to hear her voice again and see her in person.

Matt smiled at her, "I am in a band." Matt told her. Smiling at her he was intrigued by her response about working at the hospital. "That sounds, interesting." Matt told her.

"I thought so." Candace smiled at him. "Avenged Sevenfold, correct?" Candace asked as she took and cleared her throat a little. "I'm not sure." She admitted to him and smiling. Grabbing his arm, she found a spot that wasn't covered in tattoos. Writing her cell on his arm she smiled, "I have to go." She told him before exiting the movie store and heading to her car.

“Oh, you are? Let me guess the singer?” Adrienne quizzed curiously. And she hoped that she was right about her guess. And she didn’t know why that she guessed that other than he seemed to call attention to him, but that might just be a her thing. “I like to think it is. It’s honestly something that I love doing,” she replied.

Zacky nodded. “So you have heard of us?” he asked, not holding back his joy that she knew of his band. He knew that he was smiling as she took his arm and wrote her number down on his skin. “Alright. I hope movie night goes well,” he said. “And I can’t wait to see you again.”

"As long as you love doing it, that's all that matters." Matt smiled at her softly. "Yes, lead singer. How did you know?" Matt questioned her smiling.

Candace smiled at him nodding, "Neither can I." She grinned. "Of course I have. I love your music." Candace smiled at him before getting in her car.

Adrienne smiled and nodded in agreement. “You just have that vibe,” she replied. She grabbed a couple of movies. As she wandered to the front of the store, she looked back at him. “You seem used to calling the attention to you with your voice,” she added.

Zacky smiled. “Hope the movie night goes well,” he said, knowing that he shouldn’t hold her up even though his wolf wants to be right there with her. He had to wonder if she was his true mate.

Matt raised an eyebrow, intrigued by her response. "I do, huh?" Matt grinned following behind her smiling. "Well, I am glad that I have that 'singer' vibe." Matt smirked at her as he lent into the counter and put the money out paying for her movies. "It's on me tonight. I hope to see you again soon." Matt smiled at her.

Arriving home, Candace got out of her car smiling. Something about him intrigued her, she couldn't explain it. Smiling to herself she took and walked inside seeing Kaycee running to her. Grabbing her in her arms, she smiled kissing her head and paying the babysitter. Once she had changed into her pajamas she curled on the sectional with her sister and began watching the movie. Checking her phone so often, wondering, hoping, he'd text her.

Adrienne laughed. “You should be. I can just assume that you have a really beautiful voice,” she said, trying to fight back the blush when she realized what she said. She was never that forward, and yet with him it felt a little natural. She smiled, seeing him pay for her movie. “You really didn’t have to do that, but thank you,” she said. “I hope to see you again as well.”

Zacky smiled, knowing that he may look like a fool but he couldn’t help himself. He looked down at his arm wondering when he should text her. But he knew that he wasn’t one to wait long. He shot her a quick text, “Hey, It’s Zacky.” He didn’t want to assume that she would reply back soon, but he figured she should get his number.

Matt grinned, "You're welcome, and thanks for the compliment on my voice." Matt told her smiling. "Maybe I can give you my number, and we can talk more. I know I would like that." Matt told her.

Candace held her little sister in her arms as she slept through her movie. Grinning she rubbed her back softly. Hearing her phone vibrate from the side table, she grabbed it seeing the message. She couldn't help the smile forming in her lips. Something about this guy, she just couldn't place it. Replying back she smiled, Glad you texted me. I got worried you might not.

Adrienne smiled. Then she felt a rush of excitement, knowing that he wanted to talk to her more. “Of course, you can. I would like that too,” she said. She dug around in her purse, hoping she had a pen or her phone at the very least.

Zacky frowned a little when she mentioned him not texting her. Hey, I’m very glad you are texting me back. He couldn’t help the excitement that she was talking to him and had wanted to text him.
