I haven't hosted a contest in so long and I haven't been on Mibba in a while either. I've done a contest like this before, but it's been so long that my former topic has been deleted, so I'm not even sure how I had everything set up. But, let's get into it.
The Just
Firstly, you will choose a unique (doesn't really have to be unique, but choose something that you're interested in writing a story about) word/definition. You will then write a story, poem or chapter piece based on your chosen word. I have provided a link to my collection at weheartit where I have some examples of definitions that can be used. Although, you can pick any word or definition that you find inspiring. When you choose a word or definition comment what you have chosen, a link with that definition/word (if you are using a picture/weheartit), or comment the definition and word. Once you have done that I will add you to the contestants list, along with the definition.
Another contestant cannot use the same word or definition as another person.
Rules
There is no deadline to enter.
The deadline will be Sunday, March 8th, 2020. There will be no exceptions or extensions unless I have posted a new deadline.
*New deadline is Sunday, March 22, 2020*
I will begin judging the following day.
The day that winners will be announced is tentative based on the amount of people who enter. Please check back here around March to know when winners will be announced, I will also contact the winners.
*UPDATE* As of 3/23 I decided to extend this contest until the end of the year, December 2020. There's so much going on in the world right now and I want to provide an outlet for people to escape and write something new. You can now enter as many times as you like. You can now use the same word as another person. There is no limit to chapters or words. I'm uncertain about prizes and placements, although EVERYONE will receive a detailed comment on their entry. I might also do the same to another work of yours. I know people join a contest as a way to earn prizes and during this difficult time I don't want to take that away from anyone. All other rules apply.
Prizes
Second place will choose three prizes
Third place will choose two prizes
*There is a possibility of an honorable mention*

As I've mentioned, I haven't done this in a while, any suggestions for rules or prizes please message me.
If you have any questions please comment them below.
*Side note: I will be constantly adding to the weheartit page*
Happy writing!
