Almost Easy.

Cora looked over the menu before deciding, “I think I’ll get the chips and cheese and a lemonade to drink.” Once she got her food, Cora thanked Brian before eating a chip.

Matt smiled when she said she wanted someone like him, “Well, I definitely like you. You are absolutely gorgeous and nice and I’d really like to spend more time with you.” Matt figured he would go for it, he didn’t really have anything to lose as it was.

Smiling at her he nodded sitting down, "Alright." He told her watching her order. Getting his own order of nachos and lemonade, and walking with Cora to take a seat. Smiling as he sat down across from her, he enjoyed his meal. "So tell me, what do you want from someone? If you don't mind me asking why haven't you had a good relationship?" Brian asked curiously.

Anna smiled at him, "I would really like that as well." She stared at him as she bit her lip a little. "Would you like to get something to eat? I am starving." Anna giggled softly.

Cora smiled as he sat down across from her and she ate her nachos. When he asked what she wanted and why she hadn’t had a good relationship, she was hesitant to answer. “I guess I should start by saying the reason my relationships usually don’t work out is either because my dad and my cousin tend to run guys off or I try and date someone that my dad will approve of but that’s not what I want. My dad wants me to meet some big time business man and be set for life all over again.” She sighed, “Honestly, I don’t need money. I just want someone that loves me for who I am. Someone handsome, nice, and a good personality.”

“Great, so we’re on the same page,” Matt smiled. He stood up, “Let’s go get something to eat.” He held his hand out to her, grinning as she took it and stood up with him. As they walked toward the food stands, Matt looked at her, “See anything you like?”

Brian nodded his head. From what she was saying, he was up against a lot. He didn't have anything to lose, he wanted her and he would get her. "Sounds like you know what you want." Brian smiled at her. "Sounds like your dad and cousin are tools." Brian told her.

Anna smiled, "Nacho and cheeses with jalapenos and a strawberry-lemonade." Anna ordered smiling up at Matt. "Thank you." She said softly waiting on her order as she admired him a second before waiting on her food.

“I do know what I want, it’s just a matter of finding it,” Cora said as she took a sip of her lemonade. She sighed, “They are. My cousin moved in with us when he was nine and basically turned into my dad’s shadow.”

Matt ordered his food after Anna got hers, he paid and walked over to a table. “It’s no problem, really Anna,” he smiled over at her. “So, tell me about you,” Matt said as he drank his water.

Brian looked at her frowning, "I am truly sorry." Brian told her patting her hand lightly. "Sounds like it's more than hard to deal with the two of them." Brian admitted.

Anna looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "I am me." Anna laughed. "I'm easy going, I Get along with everyone. I love music, I volunteer to help shelters and such..." Anna shrugged. "You?" She asked.

Cora shrugged slightly, “I’ve gotten used to it.” She sighed, knowing it was her only choice as far as they were concerned. “Besides, when I do meet the right one, they’ll just have to get over it,” Cora smiled at him.

Matt smiled as he listened to her, “Wow.” He thought for a minute, “I’m usually pretty busy working. When I do have free time I’m usually with my friends. I love music too, I’m pretty laid back.”

Brian smiled at her nodding. "So tell me a little about yourself...Cora." He smiled at her as he took and looked at her. He couldn't help himself, he was attracted her.

"You seem laid back." Anna smiled at him as she adjusted herself in her seat. "Working, what kind of work?" She questioned smiling.

“Well, I’m pretty down to earth unlike most of my family,” Cora told him. She ran a hand through her hair, “I love music, books, I do a lot of volunteer work with children.”

Matt nodded, “I like to think that.” He looked at her, “Well, I’m a mechanic, but I’ve done a lot of other jobs. Mechanic is just what I’ve been doing the last couple years.”

Brian smile at her, "I like music too. Love playing guitar." He smiled at her. He looked her over seeing how down to earth she was being now.

Anna smiled st him, "Well if my car ever breaks down. I know where to go." She smiled at Matt.

Cora raised an eyebrow, “Really? What else should I know about you?” She questioned.

Matt laughed, “Yeah, first time around I’ll do it for free.” He smiled over at her as he finished his drink.

Brian chuckled a little, "I play guitar. I like art, drawing, such stuff like that. I want to design clothes." Brian smiled at her. "I want to be a musician someday, but I don't think it'll happen. I work on a construction site. About the only job I could get. It provides, helps me keep my apartment." Brian admitted to her. "I am easy going, some people say I am high maintenance." He shrugged chuckling a little.

Anna placed her hand over her chest pretending to be shocked, "I am flattered." She laughed lightly smiling as she finished her meal and drink. "You are genuinely, amazing Matt." Anna smiled at him. "Well, I forgot to mention the fact. Even though my father is rich and powerful. I don't depend on his money." She smiled. "Some guys say I do. But I sure as hell don't." She shook her head folding her hands on the table. "I work at a dance studio. I teach evening classes there with a friend of my mother's." Anna informed Matt.

She was about to say something more when she heard her brother's raspy, voice. Sighing she turned seeing Josh striding towards her with his pals. "Great." She mumbled underneath her breath.

Josh stared at his baby sister talking to what looked like a bum. "Anna, I went looking for you. You were gone. Told you to stay where I could see you." Josh warned her.

"I am an adult. I don't need my stuck up brother baby sitting me." Anna retorted.

"Dad thinks so." He grins. "Who's this loser?" Josh snarls. "You know not to talk to the trash that wonders on our beach." Josh crosses his arms over his chest.

Narrowing her eyes, Anna growled at Josh. "He isn't trash, you ass. He's more down to earth than you'd ever know!" She yelled smacking her brother across the face pissed.

"That's it." Josh warned grabbing her wrist and forcing her along with him. "We're fucking leaving, and dad can deal with your stupid ass." Josh snapped.

“Maybe you’ll have to play for me sometime,” Cora suggested, smiling. Hearing him mention designing clothes, she raised an eyebrow, “Wow, you’ve got a lot of big plans.” She liked that he had goals in life and that he seemed like he worked hard. Cora finished her drink and looked at him again, “I’ve gone through a couple jobs. I try to avoid being completely dependent on my dad. I’ve been working at a hair salon that he hasn’t found out about yet.” Cora laughed softly.

Matt shook his head, “I wouldn’t say amazing, just do what I have to so I can pay my bills.” He smiled when she said she worked at a dance studio. Matt watched as a group of guys walked up, figuring the one that was running his mouth must be Anna’s brother. Matt was used to being called names so it didn't phase him. He held back a laugh when Anna smacked her brother. Seeing him grab Anna, Matt got up and stood in between them, “Woah, pretty sure your sister is old enough to make her own choices.” If there was one thing that would set him off, it was a man being rough with a woman, related or not.

"A hair salon huh?" Brian smiled at her. "I'll have to be sure to catch the name of it. So that way when I need my hair done, I can come by and see you, get you to do my hair." Brian grinned at her flirting a little as he cleared his throat. "So I guess, I should let you get back to your friend...unless you wanted to hang out more?" Brian suggested.



Anna watched Matt get between them rather quickly. Hearing his words, she felt her heart melt. If this wasn't the guy she wasn't meant to end up dating. She would flip. He was kind, caring, and standing up for her. Seeing Josh's eyes narrow, she cleared her throat, "Back off, Josh." She warned her brother.

"Get your own way home then, you whore. Dad will hear this. You being with a....lower class punk." Josh snarled.

"Don't talk about him like that." Anna snapped punching her brother hard in the nose hearing it snap. "Go back to your little boy toy, and dad you fucking dick!" She yelled at him.

Seeing her brother scurry off holding his nose. She grinned as she shook her hand a little. "I am truly sorry about him." Anna whispered turning to Matt. "If you never wanted to talk to me again, I would understand by his actions." She frowned a little.

“Oh definitely,” Cora smiled. “I’ll have to give you my number,” she said, knowing she wanted to hear from him again. Cora thought for a moment, “Maybe we could hangout a little longer?” She suggested, not quite ready to leave Brian. She wasn’t entirely sure how long they had been talking, but she knew eventually she’d have to head home before her dad sent her cousin, Luke, after her.

Matt watched as Anna punched him, his eyes widening slightly. Seeing her brother and his friends take off, Matt laughed. He turned his attention back to Anna, “Its not your fault. I’m used to that.” Matt suddenly realized she was frowning and sighed, “You think I’m going to let that stop me from talking to you? Not a chance, especially seeing the way you handled yourself.” He smiled at her, “Its going to take a lot more than that to get rid of me. Are you going to need a ride home?” Matt asked.

Brian smiled at her, "I would like both." He told her as he handed her his phone. "There program it in, and i'll program mine into yours." Brian told her smiling.

Anna smiled at Matt, "I am glad his dick face, didn't push you away." Anna told him smiling. She took and cleared her throat a little as she admired him a second. "Um...yeah, if you don't mind." Anna told him. "But I am in no rush to head home." She told him.

Cora took his phone, handing him hers in return. She quickly typed her name and number in before handing it back to him. “There, now we can keep in touch,” Cora smiled.

“His opinion doesn’t really concern me, as long as you like me,” Matt laughed, looking at her. He nodded, “Yeah, that’s no problem. I’m not quite ready to head home either.”

Brian returned hers smiling, "Right." Brian smiled at her sliding his phone into his pocket. "So what do you want to do till you have to leave?" Brian questioned her.

Anna smiled nodding her head, "Good." She replied smiling at Matt. "So what shall we do?" She looked up at him smiling.

Cora took her phone back, smiling. She took a minute to think, “Well, we could walk back or maybe go check out some of the shops on the boardwalk?” Cora didn’t have too many other ideas.

“I was going to say we could go back by my friends, but maybe that isn’t such a good idea,” Matt laughed softly. He knew his friends always meant well, but he didn’t want to take the chance of them embarrassing him. He looked back at her, “Any ideas?”

"Board walk sounds cool." Brian smiled at her as he looked down at her a second.

Anna shrugged feeling like he might had embarrassed by her or something. Shrugging again she thought, "Maybe a swim, or the boardwalk, or boat rides, surfing..." She trailed off nervously.
