Almost Easy.

Hearing Brian’s suggestion, Cora quickly got up from the couch. “That sounds like a great idea,” she smiled down at him as she took his hand and lead him back to the bedroom.

Matt was enjoying the moment with Anna, it was quickly torn away when he heard someone call her name. He turned to see Anna’s brother and who he assumed was her father. Every inch of him wanted to knock the smug little smirk off her brother’s face, but he knew that would be a bad idea with her father standing there.

At the moment he didn’t know how he should react, feeling Anna’s grip on him. Matt took a moment to relax, he didn’t want Anna to feel how tense he was. He wanted to give the situation a moment to unfold.

Brian smiled going into the bedroom with her. He took and picked her up as the two of them laid in the bed together. He held her close as he lent over kissing the side of her head smiling.

"I, what?" Hugh questioned his daughter. "You are supposed to be at Cora's." He growled out. "And why are you evening with someone like this? A mechanic?" Hugh snarled his nose.

"He might be. But he's down to earth and everything I have ever wanted in a guy." Anna looked up at Matt and smiled.

"Well this is over, now." Hugh snarled. "Let's go, right now." He roared out as he narrowed his eyes at his daughter.

Anna shook her head, "I don't have to." Anna whispered staying at Matt's side.

"You heard dad, let's go, now." Josh roared.

"You're not my damn boss, Josh and neither is dad." Anna snapped out.

Cora instantly cuddled into Brian once he picked her up. She smiled as he kissed the side of her head.

Matt listened as Anna spoke, a small smile crossed his lips as she spoke about him. He wasn’t about to make things worse with Anna’s father, but Josh was getting on his last nerve again.

Hearing the way he talked to Anna, Matt glared at him, “Your sister is an adult, she can do what she wants.” He was almost daring Josh to keep it up.

Brian held her close kissing the side of her head. "I truly am lucky." Brian whispered to her softly holding her close and tightly to him.

Anna saw Josh go red as he went at Matt. Anna took and shoved her brother backwards as he went at Matt again pushing her. Falling to her side she narrowed her eyes as she took and kicked Josh in the shin causing him to yelp and fall. Getting to her feet, she narrowed her eyes at her father, "Fuck off." She snapped at him grabbing Matt's hand and going to his car not caring.

Cora smiled, just enjoying being in Brian’s arms. “I think I’m the lucky one, or maybe we both are,” Cora said softly, smiling over at him.

Matt was slightly surprised by Anna’s actions. When she got up and grabbed his hand, Matt quickly unlocked the car and opened the door for her. Once she was in, he went and got in himself. After closing his door, Matt turned to look at her, “Are you okay?”

Brian grinned, "We're both lucky." Brian lent over kissing her lips smiling at her.

Anna nodded her head, "I think so. Can we just please get out of here?" Anna smiled softly.

Cora couldn’t help grinning back at him, “That we are.” She quickly returned the kiss.

Matt nodded as he started the car, “Absolutely.” He started driving toward the bar, reaching over and gently taking her hand.

Brian grinned snuggling closer to her.

Holding to his hand, she felt herself calming down. "I am so sorry." Anna apologized.

Cora cuddled into him, sighing softly. She loved being able to spend time with him. Hearing her phone ring, she groaned as she checked the screen. Seeing her cousin’s name flash across, Cora quickly silenced it and put it on the bedside table.

“You’ve got no reason to apologize, it’s not your fault,” Matt assured her. He hated the way her brother and father seemed to treat her like her opinion and feelings didn’t matter. He gave her a smile, “We’re going to have a great night from here.”

"Your cousin again?" Brian questioned her holding her close.

Anna looked at him smiling, "I hope so." Anna whispered squeezing his hand and turning her head frowning. She hated the way her dad and brother had done Matt. She was tired of it, and had to figure out something.

Cora nodded, “He’s been blowing up my phone all day.” She sighed softly.

Matt pulled into a spot in the parking lot. He shut the car off and looked over at her, “It will be.” He smiled, “We’ll figure everything out, I promise.”

Brian frowned, "He just won't stop will he?" Brian stared at her.

Anna looked at him and smiled lightly, "I know we will." Anna told him.

“No, eventually he’ll get sick of me not answering. When he talks to me dad, he’ll tell him I’m at Anna’s,” Cora told him.

Matt smiled as he leaned over and kissed her lips softly before getting out. He went over to her side and opened the door.

Brian nodded his head, "Alright babe." Brian told her keeping her close.

Getting out, Anna held to Matt's hand as she sighed in relief that her brother and father hadn't followed her. She wasn't letting anything ruin this for her.

Cora smiled, relaxing with him, “Besides, I don’t want anything to ruin us spending time together.” She smiled up at him.

Matt quickly lead Anna into the bar. He was determined to get her mind off of her family. He gave her a smile, “Want something to drink?”

"Neither do I." Brian held her close kissing the side of her head as he smiled. Moments like this he was living for now. Just him and her.

Anna looked at him, "Whiskey on the rocks." Anna told him sighing a little. She needed to get the spat out of her mind.

Cora was completely relaxed being with Brian. Nothing felt better to her than being with him. She looked up at Brian for a moment, before she had the chance to speak, there was sudden pounding at the door.

Matt nodded, “You got it.” Keeping Anna close to him, he made his way over to the bar and ordered their drinks.

Brian glanced at her, "Wonder who that is." Brian took and walked to the door pulling it open. Seeing a man there he wondered who it was.

Anna kept close to his side. Finally relaxing a little she took and began to enjoy their night.

Cora got up and followed Brian to the door. Her eyes widened slightly when she heard Luke’s voice, “I know Cora’s here, she needs to come home. Now.” Cora stepped into view, “I don’t need to do anything. I’ll come home when I’m ready.”

Luke tolled his eyes, “Look, if you wanna spend your free time slumming it, that’s up to you. When your dad sends me out searching for you because you’re ignoring him, then it becomes my problem. Now, let’s go.”

Once their drinks were made, Matt handed Anna hers. Keeping an arm around her, he lead her away from the bar.

Brian narrowed his eyes, "Don't come up here, talking to her like that. She said she wasn't going. She isn't going, dick. Get it through your head." Brian snapped at Luke pushing Cora behind him protectively.

Anna sat and drank the drink as she took and sighed a little. "I am just not feeling it tonight." Anna mumbled looking at her glass.
