Verris had been a bit startled by Geralt's hand, not really thinking he would've been looking for her. "You want to dance?" The princess couldn't help but laugh. The witcher was usually so stiff, standing solid like a rock; he didn't even bend, he definitely didn't dance. "You don't sound like you want to dance," she commented on his tone, noticing how it was also written all over his face. Still, she took his hand, stepping closer to him, placing her hand on the front of his armor.

"Just because Jaskier talked Egon into dancing, doesn't mean you have too."
"I didn't have too but, I wanted too." Egon stepped closer to the guard, wrapping her arms around her waist, quickly before she could protest. He pulled her flush against him, trying to convey with his body language that she had his full attention. He still felt too reserved to try to find his way around an apology, so he hoped for the time being his actions would suffice. "But, I did want to punch him." Egon lowered his voice, a smile creeping up onto his face as he tried to tease her back.

Geralt chuckled softly as she pointed out that he didn't look too fond of dancing, giving her hand a little squeeze as she took his. "You're right.. I'm not really a dancer.." he mumbled, his free arm snaking around her waist as he pulled her close, offering her a brief smile.

"And I know that I don't have to just because Jaskier wants me to.. But I want to because you looked like you were having fun when you were dancing."
Anfrih sucked in a breath as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close, her hands moving to rest against his chest as she gazed up at him. She hated how being close to him made her heart skip a beat, especially considering how he didn't feel the same way about her. She cracked a small smile as he said he'd thought about punching him, shaking her head a little. "I'm sure a bloody nose would have made his performance interesting." She teased, finding it easy to fall into banter with him despite how much her heart ached.

Verris's breath caught in the back of her throat when Geralt pulled her to him, not expecting him to close the distance. Swallowing her nerves, the princess made sure her posture was perfect, feeling goosebumps run up her arms. She may have dreamed about a moment like this, Geralt taking her into his strong arms, holding her against him, but, she never thought it would actually happen. Verris took a moment to look over Geralt's shoulder, over the crowd behind him to the stage where she could see the bard beginning to pluck away on his lute. Slowly raising her free hand to his shoulder, the princess began to move her feet, beginning to guide them in a simple dance.

"That's okay, I've had plenty enough dancing lessons for the both of us." She couldn't help the smile that broke out across her face, not really caring if the two of them danced or not. Verris was completely content just being held in his arms.
Egon more of less moved his arms to wrap around Anfrih in a hug as they swayed, just wanting to feel her in his grasp. It had been so long since he had just been able to hold her. The past few nights had been so cold and lonely, even if they had been sharing the same bed. He was happy enough that she hadn't stomped off from him the moment he asked her to dance.

"The fairer sex they often call it, but her love's as unfair as a crook..." The bard began singing and Egon couldn't help but let his eyes flicker to the heavens for a brief second, before returning them to Anfrih. "It steals all my reason, commits every treason..." Egon couldn't ignore the lyrics, slowly turning his head in the direction of the stage. A special song, huh? What else did Egon expect from the bard, if not a sickeningly romantic ballad for the couples to dance to?

Looking back down into Anfrih's eyes, Egon cleared his throat and held her closer, "I'm sorry about upsetting you the other night. I was... taken off guard." By the end of his sentence, the witcher couldn't hold her gaze anymore, instead opting for staring at his feet.

Geralt chuckled lightly, partially to hide his nerves as the princess began to lead them in a simple dance, her posture as perfect as ever. He was doing the best he could not to step on her toes or get in her way, part of him wanting to impress her, even though he had absolutely no clue how to dance.

It also didn't help that she looked gorgeous at the moment, and he was hearing enough of the Bard's 'special song' to know that it was a love ballad. He tugged her closer as the song went on, until they were practically just swaying, his amber gaze focused on her face. "I.." he didn't even know what he was going to say when he began, brows furrowing a bit as he tried to think of the right words.
Anfrih shifted to wrap her arms around his waist as he pulled her closer, her head resting lightly against his chest. His heartbeat was so slow compared to hers, and she felt like her heart might leap out her chest at any moment. It felt so wonderful to be in his arms, and even though she'd only ever been in them once before, she knew she'd never want to be anywhere else.

She looked up as he cleared his throat, frowning a bit as he apologized before shaking her head, biting her lip to keep it from trembling as she focused her eyes on his armor. "No, Egon.. Don't apologize. I shouldn't... I shouldn't have said anything." She murmured, laying her head against his chest once more, so she wouldn't have to look at him. "I shouldn't have.. I know I can't expect you to feel that way, and it's fine, really. I understand." It hurt to think that he'd never love her, but she knew it to be true.

The princess looked up into the witcher's eyes, wondering what he was thinking. He had been doing a good enough job of keeping off of her toes and being as big of a man as he was, that was impressive enough. "You what?" She chuckled, raising her hand to push a strand of hair from his face, noticing how it wasn't pulled back in his usual style.

Truthfully, the song the bard was singing was making the Verris just as uncomfortable, if not more than Geralt. The doting lyrics about a woman's intoxicating love was enough to make her stomach tie itself in knots and her eyes barely able to hold Geralt's gaze. She knew it was probably embarrassing for him, there was no way he could ever feel something like that towards her. Feeling a hot wave of embarrassment fall over her, Verris was quick to tilt her head down and fiddle with the bit of fabric she could find among all the pieces of armor. Her face was no doubt burning red, she could feel just how hot she was.
"Just because I couldn't say..." Egon sighed, feeling the way his jaw tensed when he even thought about speaking those words, "...doesn't mean I don't feel that way." The poor man knew that if he wanted to completely fix whatever they had between them, he was going to have to spit those three little words out. Why it was so important for her to hear, he would never know, but if she needed it to stay with him...

Egon focused on how she felt in his arms, how soft her skin felt under his rough hands. "I wouldn't have taken advantage of you like that. I would never..." He knew her fears, how she was terrified that one day he would just wake up and be bored of her. Terrified that he might try to ditch her in some rundown village, leaving her all alone in a room that he rented for only one night. He could never. "If it isn't obvious, Anfrih, I love you."

It was the witcher's turn to blush, his face flushing a light pink color as his eyes looked anywhere but into Anfrih's. Would she even accept it now, or had the moment been lost to him?

"I've missed you." Geralt breathed, voice barely above a whisper as he gazed down at her before leaning down to lightly rest his forehead against hers as they swayed, eyes closing. He hadn't really realized what he was feeling toward her until she'd been sold to the mages, and even then it was only after watching Egon suffer through dealing with Anfrih that he realized what exactly his emotions were.

He was scared, though. With Anfrih and Egon, the girl obviously reciprocated his feelings. But with Verris.. There was a chance she didn't care for him, would laugh in his face or scream in terror and leave him. Not that he could really blame her.
She couldn't breathe. Listening to Egon speak sucked the breath out of her, feeling like her heart stopped when he spoke those three words. He didn't have to, he could just be saying it to make her happy.. But a brief glimpse at his eyes told her he meant every word.

"I love you too, Egon." She whispered softly. She'd never said the words before, to anyone, and she knew she'd never say them to anyone else so long as she had the Witcher who was holding her in his arms. Reaching up she gently rested her hand against his cheek, hoping to reassure him that he was forgiven. "I'm sorry that I ignored you all week.. It wasn't right. But I just.. Everytime I looked at you it felt like my heart was breaking, thinking that you didn't feel the same.." she apologized softly, her eyes welling with tears. "I'm sorry if I hurt you. I never meant to.."

Egon held Anfrih up closer in his arms, seeing the tears that were burning in her eyes. This was supposed to make her happy, everything he just did was meant to fix everything, but instead... "Don't apologize, Anfrih." He brushed his fingers through her hair, sheepishly trying to figure out how to pin the blame on himself. It was his fault, he really did believe that, but he was finding it hard to explain himself.

"Fuck..." He sighed, turning his slightly to the side, his gaze still down. "I'm not good with my words, but..." The witcher found himself hesitating longer than he would've liked. He pinched the fabric of her shirt between his hands, keeping them low around her waist. "I'm sorry." The words slipped off of his tongue before he could even think about them, but maybe that was for the best. It's always a good idea to think before you speak, but sometimes, Egon found himself thinking for far too long and far too hard and then usually just kept quiet instead.
Verris stood still when Geralt rested his head head against hers, her heart beating so fast she thought it might explode from her chest. They had never been so close together for such a long period of time. It was weird, but she wanted more of him at the same time. It was odd hearing him say that he missed her, especially when she had done nothing but think of him every day for the past few years.

She let her arms slide up his arms, holding him tightly as they swayed gently to the bard's song. "You've missed me?" It was hard for the princess to wrap her mind around it, to break down the walls she had been building up around herself to protect her emotions. Her grasp tightened on his arms, almost afraid that he would just disappear. "Then don't leave me again." Verris begged it of him.

Anfrih leaned her head into his hand as he ran his fingers through her hair, nodding a little as she gazed up at him. Her face softened as he apologized, her own fingers gripping his shirt as tightly as he was gripping hers. "It's ok, Egon.. I'm not upset anymore." She murmured, standing up on her toes to press a gentle kiss to his lips.

"I love you, Egon." She repeated, the words barely a whisper against his lips as she pressed into his arms.
Geralt simply hummed to confirm that he had missed her, swaying with her in his arms as he gazed down at her. He smiled a little as her grip tightened on him, tugging her closer as she asked him not to leave her again.

"Never." He promised, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. He was too much of a coward to actually kiss her, even if he wanted to. But at least this little bit of affection would probably tell her enough about how he felt her.

Egon thought about the bard once more as he wrapped Anfrih in a warm hug, thinking very briefly that maybe he owed the man some sort of thanks. He let that idea fly straight from his mind as quickly as it had entered. He was just grateful that he had bridged the gap between him and the guard, hoping now that everything was fine. He brushed his hand over her cheek, pressing his lips to hers as they kissed. The song came to a close, but still, Egon kept their lips pressed firmly together. Only when he thought about Jaskier running off the stage to find the couple, did he pull away.

"Come with me." He grabbed her hand in his, gently pulling her away through the crowd. As sure as he was that Jaskier wanted some kind of recognition and praise for his songwriting skills, Egon wasn't particularly in the mood to give it. The pair escaped the crowd, moving further away from the stage and back towards the food vendors. He slowed down when he thought they were far enough away that they wouldn't be found. "So, you're still... coming with me, right?" Egon was embarrassed that he felt he even had to ask, but the doubt still lingered in his mind.
His words sent shivers down her arms, a small surprise compared to the one she felt when he pressed his lips against her forehead. Pulling away from slowly, she looked up at him. His orange eyes were dim in this light, but still, she could see how they glimmered. The princess hoped she wasn't reading too far into his action, because without thinking much of it, she stood up on the tips of her toes, steadying herself with her hands on his shoulders, before she pressed her lips to his. Out of fear of rejection, it was a short kiss. The princess fell back on her feet and stepped away, pushing his arms to fall away from her.

She could hear her heartbeat in her ears, pounding wildly as she waited for his reaction, hoping it was anything other than anger or just silence.

Anfrih melted into his arms as he returned her kiss, keeping her grip on him even as the song ended, afraid he'd run off. When he pulled back and told her to follow him through the crowd she nodded, holding his hand tightly as he led her away from the dance crowd and toward the food vendors. As she smelled the food her stomach grumbled, but she didn't want to waste what little coin they had on expensive food, so she simply ignored her hunger. She could always get a slice of bread at the tavern later.

She looked up at him when he asked if she was going to stay with him, squeezing his hand as a little smile formed on her lips. "Egon.. if I wasn't going to come with you, I would have left at the beginning of the week." She pressed a kiss to his cheek, leaning into his side as they walked.
Geralt was relieved that she hadn't pushed him away, but was absolutely shocked when she stood on her toes to kiss him. His eyes were still wide as she quickly pulled away, staring at her for a long moment, trying to gauge what she was thinking. Had she just gotten caught up in the moment? Or was she as drawn to him as he was to her?

"Verris.." he mumbled, voice thick with emotions as he stepped toward her, carefully grabbing her arms to pull her into him again. He tucked a strand of hair behind her hair before leaning forward, hesitating long enough to give her time to pull away before he kissed her.

The witcher felt like he could finally relax, hearing her reassure him that she wasn't going anywhere. His face still heated up, a little embarrassed that he felt the need to ask. There was two different sides fighting inside of him, one side that was trying to hide away all of his feelings and the other half that was desperately trying to bring them front center, knowing that's what Anfrih wanted. "I was just a little worried..." He laughed, looking around at all the people enjoying overpriced food and carrying oversized prizes. Sometimes he wished he could have blended in to the world around him better.

Patting his pocket, he felt a few silver pieces and he pulled Anfrih over to a food stand. "I'm assuming you can't come to a carnival and not enjoy something deep fried?" He pulled the coins from his pocket and dropped them into her hand, curling her fingers closed over them. "I want you to enjoy something else from this night."
The princess felt a lump form in her throat and tears burn her eyes when he spoke her name. She was sure that he was going to reject her, explain that the forehead kiss was just to comfort her and meant nothing more than that. The way he sounded, it was so dry and low. She was even more shocked when he reeled her back into his arms, her eyes searching his for some answer, but she was met with it when he kissed her again.

Gripping his shoulders tightly, Verris returned the kiss, her eyes closing as she became lost. For those few seconds, she forgot all about who she was, the carnival, the academy... She just enjoyed the moment, relishing in what she had wanted for so long. Breaking their lips apart, but keeping them close enough to where she could feel his breath, she smiled. "I was scared for a second."

Anfrih smiled as she watched Egon blush, finding it rather endearing go see the Witcher so flustered. She knew he was struggling with his emotions, but she knew that they felt the same about one another, so she wasn't too worried about what he might say regarding his feelings. She let him tug her over to a food stand, frowning a little as he said she should enjoy herself, that he wanted her to enjoy something else from this nice, looking down at their hands as he closed the silver coins in her fingers before looking back up at him.

"Egon.. You don't have to.." she murmured, attempting to press the coins back into his hand. For all she knew, this was the last of his silver. "I only need you, Egon.. Nothing else matters. Please, don't waste your coin on this. We'll need to buy new clothes and supplied before we leave, wasting your money at a carnival isn't a good idea."
Geralt's arms had wrapped around her waist, holding her against his chest as they kissed. How he hadn't realized it before, he'd never know. But now he knew he'd never leave her, that he'd do anything for the girl in his arms. "I'll protect you, always." He promised softly when she spoke, gazing into her eyes for a moment before leaning back in to kiss her. Her lips were so soft, kisses so gentle, as as much as he savored them he wanted more. He wanted to taste every inch of her, wanted to kiss her until she was breathless.

He broke away after a moment to lead her away from the crowd, not fond of the idea of someone interupting them, although he wasn't sure where he was going to bring them, or how far he was going to see he could go with the princess.

"Please." He insisted, pushing her hand back away from him. "I'm going to have to find a job or two before we leave anyway. It's probably a good idea to start searching tomorrow..." He trailed off, his eyes glancing up towards the sky as he thought. The few copper pieces it would take to get her a little treat wouldn't sway them either way and the witcher was willing to pass on ale later that night. "How long has it been since you've enjoyed chocolate?" He laughed, doing his best to lighten the mood. "You deserve something other than stale bread and dirty water for once."

Egon felt horrible what Anfrih was putting herself through to stay by his side. The life of a witcher was definitely not a glamorous one, it was hard and there would be nights where they went to bed cold and hungry, but he could worry about those nights later. Right now, he was just worried about Anfrih and making sure that she could enjoy herself tonight, knowing full well when they woke up tomorrow they'd be bored on their asses, sitting around and waiting on the princess.
The pair walked farther away from the crowd, leaving further from the fair and closer to the edge of the wood. It was much darker and quieter where they were now, but just over their shoulders they could still see the attractions, hear the little kids screaming and faintly hear the music that played. Verris leaned up against the wooden fence that enclosed the fairgrounds, pressing her back up against it as she looked back over to Geralt.

"This is kind of funny, I never thought I'd be enjoying a night at a fair with you." The princess wrapped her cloak around her body, a cold breeze rolling in that would've sent goosebumps up her arms if Geralt's kisses hadn't already. She dreaded the time when she knew she'd have to leave him and return to that horrible academy, the only relief she found in it was knowing her time there was almost up. That relief was soon replaced with anxious jitters whenever she thought about having to escape the academy.

"I can help you earn coin." Anfrih instantly offered, gazing up at him as she clutched the silver in one hand, her other holding onto his tightly. "I can learn how to tie fishing nets, or help the baker down the street with his deliveries, or help you fight your monsters.." She squeezed his hand, hoping to convey how serious she was about it. If she was going to travel with him, she wasn't going to just loaf around and not do anything to help him earn coin. She couldn't do that to him. It was only fair that she found work too, however she could.

She smiled a little as he asked when the last time she'd enjoyed chocolate, standing on her toes to press a quick but loving kiss to his lips. Turning to the vendor she bought a chocolate tart and a little baggie of small donuts covered in cinnamon and sugar. Turning to Egon as he led them away she tucked the bag under her arm while she broke the tart in half, offering the other half to him with a small smile. "If I deserve to enjoy tonight, you do too. And I'm sure it's been much longer since you've enjoyed chocolate."
Geralt happily followed Verris away from the crowd and toward the forest, smirking a little at her as she leaned back against the fence. Stepping forward he placed his hands on the fence on either side of her, trapping her between them, although it would be easy for her to get away if she wanted to.

"I never thought that either." He smiled, leaning down to press another kiss to her lips, moving one of his hands to run through her hair. He knew she'd have to get back to the academy soon, but he was reluctant to let her go.

Egon couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when she mentioned helping him fight monsters. He wouldn't care for her to find work in the village, help out the tavern or try to sell some fish, but help him slay a monster? He didn't even want her in the vicinity of a monster. He bit his tongue, for now, deciding if that problem actually arose that he would squash it then. The witcher had just crossed one bridge, he could wait to cross another. Anfrih's kiss pulled him out of his thoughts, and before he could even try to kiss back, she was already offering him some of her treats.

"I actually can't even remember..." Egon trailed off, deciding it was better to just focus on the sweets in front of him, rather than letting his mind wander off to just what might happen if Anfrih tried fighting a monster. At first, he had wanted to decline, to tell Anfrih to enjoy it all to herself, but it was much too enticing. He took the pastry from her, the scent alone already causing his mouth to water. "Thank you." he smiled down at her before taking a bite of the tart.
Verris felt so small trapped between Geralt's arms. Her hands grasped for any part of him she could hold, completely distracted by his lips. The ale Geralt had treated himself to earlier that day was still lingering on his breath and before the princess could even think, her tongue was running over his bottom lip and she almost thought she could taste it. He was intoxicating. Inappropriate thoughts began swirling in her head, like the urge to forget about the academy and follow Geralt back to his room in the inn. The girl wanted to feel his hands all over her, feel him lay her down...

For a second, she had to break away, becoming so overwhelmed that she had forgotten to breathe. "How am I suppose to leave you after this?" Her voice was barely above a whisper, pulling Geralt closer against her body.

Anfrih smiled up at him as he accepted the tart, glad that he wasn't going to protest. She could tell he was thinking something over, and even though she wanted to press him and figure out what it was, she knew that if he hadn't said anything yet he likely didn't want to. So, she decided to not bring anything up until he did, linking her arm with his as they wandered through the festival.

Anfrih hummed as she bit into the chocolate tart, the sugary treat the best thing she'd had in weeks. Looking up at him when he thanked her for sharing she shook her head, smiling up at him lovingly. "What's mine is yours, Egon." She said simply, doing her best to savor each bite of the tart, although by the time they reached the edge of the fairgrounds and the road that led back to the village she'd finished it, and had started to eat the donuts she'd bought, offering him some as well.
Geralt grunted as he felt her run her tongue over his lip, and although he'd been telling himself to go slow, to be gentle, his hands moved to grip her hips, tugging her against his chest as he kissed her deeply, his own tongue pressing for entrance against her lips. When she pulled away he too was breathless, taking in her flushed cheeks, her lips a bit red and swollen from his kisses. Gods, she was beautiful. He smirked as she pressed closer, hands squeezing her hips as he tugged her body against his.

"The hope is you won't." He admitted with a chuckle, leaning down to press a kiss to her lips before trialing them along her jaw and neck, hands running up and down her sides.

With the fair still in full swing, the road leading back to the village was completely deserted, pitch black and silent. Egon listened to Anfrih hum quietly as they made their way back to the inn, occasionally taking a small donut from her. The brooding man stayed pretty quiet until they were about halfway finished with their walk. Reaching out to Anfrih, he snaked his arm around her waist and pulled her into his side. The only thing illuminating their path was the large moon that hung in the sky above them, the moons light washing over Anfrih. Her pale skin seemed to glow, the radiant light washing over like little flecks of glitter.

"You look beautiful." Egon whispered, low enough that he wondered if she could've even heard him. He was more just thinking out loud, so he didn't mind if she caught it or not. He stopped her, guiding her off the side of the road, pressing her back up against the nearest tree. Grabbing her hips and holding her tightly, Egon leaned down and pressed his lips against hers. He was unable to fight the urge any longer. The tavern was still a good distance away and he just couldn't wait another second. His hands had to be on her, his lips had to be exploring her skin. "God, I love you," he mumbled the words again, finding them much easier to say the second time.
"Oh god," she gasped, her arms wrapping around his neck as he kissed down her throat. The princess couldn't stop herself from holding her breath, anticipating just how further down his lips would travel. Her thighs were trembling and she was biting down on her lip, trying to keep herself from moaning. She wasn't very successful. "Geralt," she breathed, her heart racing, "please,..." Verris wasn't sure what she was begging for, feeling just how wet she was getting from just the way he touched and kissed her. But she was also terrified. She wasn't sure if she was asking him to stop or asking him to go further. Part of her couldn't imagine him just stopping now, leaving her in such a state, but what did she expect him to do? Take her now, out here on the edge of the fairgrounds?

Anfrih had been enjoying their walk back to the inn as they ate their treats, humming a few of the bard songs on their way. She almost missed his comment, looking up at him in surprise before a blush appeared on her cheeks, smiling up at him sheepishly. She was about to say something when he began to tug her off the road, backing her back was pressed up against a tree. She giggled when he grabbed her hips and pulled her into a kiss, her arms snaking around his neck as she kissed him back.

She laughed softly against his lips as he said he loved her again, hands moving to cup his cheeks as she pressed a few loving kisses to his lips before speaking. "I love you, Egon. My Witcher." She murmured before kissing him again, pressing her body against his. Ignoring him for a week had been torture, and she never wanted to go another day in her life without feeling his lips on hers.
Geralt growled needily as he listened to her moan and squirm in his arms. He could practically smell her arousal, and his cock was already straining against his pants, the Witcher rocking his hips into hers just to get some sort of friction. When he heard her beg he groaned, kissing his way back up to her lips before he kissed her deeply, forcing himself to pull back after a moment.

"When I take you, princess.." he began, eyes raking over her body. "I want to have all the time in the world to do it properly. I don't have that time right now." Of course he could just bend her against the fence and fuck her anyway, but, knowing she was probably a virgin, he wanted to spend the time showing her just how pleasurable it could be.

Egon gently rested his forehead against hers, breathing gently against her lips. He hadn't felt her touch in almost a week, being so close to her without being able to hold her had been like going through hell and he never wanted to do that again. He thought about the past few nights where she would just lie next to him, inches away on the bed, curled in on herself. It had been torment to him every night, wanting so badly to reach out to her, but knowing he couldn't, that it wouldn't go the way he wanted.

Her voice had a soft sweetness to it as she whispered to him, sending shivers running down his spine. "Your witcher." He tilted his head slightly with a playful smirk on his face. Egon leaned back in to slowly leaned back in to kiss her again, just long enough to take her breath away and enjoy how plushy soft her lips were. He pulled away, holding her still between his body and the tree. "Don't ever ignore me for a whole week again." A small smile was still lingering on his face, but his voice had lowered.
Verris felt absolutely defeated, yearning for more of what she was feeling, craving more of his touch all over her body. "Cruel." She laughed, trying to catch her breath, breathing out slowly to try and calm herself down. However, the princess could not stop the way her face flushed when he spoke of taking her. Her fingers were still desperately gripping his jerkin, not wanting his body to leave her, but she knew she had to let him go.

"How do you expect me to go back to the academy now, after this?" Verris still smiled at him, still completely over the moon, no matter what happened now. She knew it was best that they didn't, that they stopped now. She didn't want to make any impulse decisions, after all, this was such a different side of Geralt she hadn't seen before. What if he was just going stir crazy on this island, no woman around to warm his bed for a night? She hated thinking thoughts like that, but Geralt was still a man and men had urges. Just because he was swooning over her tonight, and wanted to fuck her didn't mean there was anything more than that.

Anfrih savored his touches, his breath against her face and the way his hands held her against his body. She smiled as they gazed at each other, just two people absolutely in love with one another, without a care for anything else in the world. She hummed against his lips as he leaned down to kiss her again, laying her head back against the tree as she caught her breath when he finally pulled away grinning up at him breathlessly. "Never." She promised, fingers gripping the leather of his jerkin, keeping him close.

After a few moments she squirmed in his grip, the bark of the tree digging into her back. "We should go back to the inn now, Egon.. It's getting late."
Geralt chuckled as she called him cruel, resting his forehead against hers. "I'm as worked up as you, princess. Trust me, I'm frustrated you can't stay." He murmured, pressing another kiss to her lips before pulling back, running his fingers through her hair.

"I expect you to go back to that damn academy so that when you finish your training next week we can leave this island and get on with our lives." He said simply, resting his hand against her cheek, rough and calloused thumb brushing over her soft cheek. "Then we can go wherever you want."
